I went to Market Basket in NewBedford ,Ma..I got all my groceries but 2 items when i got home I realized they were not in the bags, and I had alot of bags, I immediately called the store and they told me to come back when I did they told me the bagger did put the items in my cart and i must have them and they would not honor my request for the items or a refund....I have gone to marketBasket for a number of years and never did I come across a RUDE MANAGER who not only was called a liar but said the cameras saw him put it in my basket but NEVER DID I SEE THE VIDEO.....I will never go there again and further more i will make sure ALL AND EVERYONE I KNOW ALSO KNOWS THEY CALL THERE CUSTOMERS LIARS....WE PAY THERE SALARY....

I love the prices. The help is extremely helpful. The problem is the scooters. My husband is handicapped. Thurs. we got thru about 4 aisles when the scooter conked out. There we were in the exact middle of the aisle. no one could get by. I had to push it to the side - I am under 5' and elderly. went for another - only 1 broken one there. So I got a basket - had to transfer all. He tried to walk hanging on for support. Didn't work. tried the wheelchair. After again transferring the groceries i found it too heavy to push. I found another basket going thru the check-out. The woman said it was dangerous as it would suddenly reverse & go backwards. just then a scooter was found & we finished up. my husband swears he will never go into a market Basket again. I will have to go alone because of the prices.

I hate market basket in vidor they rude managers like tom and they don't give raises. my husband juston walker works there off and on and won't give him a raise he only makes 9.00 hour then they told him he would get a raise if he worked in orange,tx. market basket then mr.Dane lied to him.this is one Fucked Up store!

After today, I will never EVER be shopping at Market Basket again. My daughter who WAS a cashier quit her job today after the manager at the Somersworth, NH store #36 made fun of her anxiety disorder! My daughter is a very sweet girl with a kind heart! She is already very self conscious about her condition and is very strong in how she deals with it. She has to keep her phone close by because of her fear of a family member getting hurt. The manager came up today and avoiding her doctor's note to HAVE HER PHONE, took it from her. When she explained why she needed it the manager said and I quote "You think your parents are going to die and you think a cell phone is going to stop that?" I'm outright furious. I have called Tewksbury and corporate to get this man dealt with. I never once thought that a manager mind you, would ever have the nerve to make fun of a person with a disorder of ANY KIND!

I shop at Market Basket and love the selection and prices.I also ride my bike to the store for the exercise.the N.Andover MA. store is located at 350 Winthrop Av.on RT 114.I live in N.Andover and ride my bike down the big hill.my problem is that the walkway from the corner of Waverly Rd to the entrance of the mall is beginning to become impassable and dangerous.weeds four or five feet tall are clogging the walk and half way to the red light poison ivy is growing so thick that at some points the walk is only inches wide which make you have to get VERY close to traffic inches away traveling 45 mile an hour.I have even cut back some tree branches my self to improve access.also the corner at the red light is breaking up and should be repaired.this walk has become a liability please have it fixed. thank you.

Dear District , I live in Gloucester Mass , and was absolutely thrilled when MB came to Our fair City. But the lack of assistance and customer service not only bewilders me , after todays experience I am outraged and irrated. The store has this habit of putting overstock of one item over to the left or right of designated label. Last night I thought I was buying a reusable keurig cup for 699. Sounded like a good deal. Problem was it was overstocked in front of the 699 label. I couldnt see what the label belonged too , because it was shelved at the very top , 4 feet above my head. I stood on the shelf to retrieve it and put it into my basket along with my other 130 dollars worth of grocerys. I watch very closely at checkout because of the MB practices of overstocking products in the wrong lables area. Needless to say it rang the keurig refill rang in at 15.99. I spoke to the cashier, and her response was "So you dont want it??" I said no not at that price. I did tell her it wasnt her fault but I was aggrevated with the practices of such. A headcashier youngin was walking by as I was speaking to the girl, and He apologized and modified the price to 699. Anyway I get home and the keurig wasnt in the bag. I didnt blame the cashier because the confusion of the pricing and it was closing time. So today , I hitch a ride back to market basket w/price tag in tow, and go the the service desk. Explained what happened - and her response was "Why was the priced changed to 699??" I told her what happened and I didnt get the product. She takes off with the reciept and disappears to the back for about 14 minutes. ?? I asked the other girl where was she, and what was going on?? She responded , the girl had to go look at the tapes./ I am now really outraged. The tape for what?? YOu think Im going to pull off a 599 caper after buying 130 dollars worth of grocerys. I then tell them to get the assistance. So she returns and says sorry, you can get another one>> any shit sherlock cashier , would have walked over to the product and seen story matches hey?? And you know what the keurigs are still overstocked in front of the wrong label. I find this as a bait and switch and suggest you changed your store policys of overstocking , and for gods sake get some training on customer service for your staff, for it is the consumers that thrive the store... Thank you Rebecca Fitzgerald

I have been praying fgor a Market Basket in Hillsboro N.H.for over 25 years....we have to travel to Concord or next door to Keene and its a ride for us...the town would absolutely light up with a Market Basket !!!!

Okay so as a bagger, cashier, deli clerk and produce clerk at Market Basket #55 I must say that they have the LOWEST PRICES I see in any store in the area i live. You want to know what stores are killing people Hannafords, shaws now those are HIGH prices. I know that at times Market Basket can be a pain in the butt trust me I know i work there. However I know that at the store i work at our managers are very helpful our staff will go out of their way to help you find something and if they dont know they will find someone who does know. And as far as market basket not being around much longer well think again we are almost a 5.5 billion dollar company we wont close that quick. and the reason we say we need and ID is because we want to protect you so dont blame us for doing our job. Now as a bagger we are trained how to bag however I think they could use more training. Thats why when i train i always get compiments on how well the new bagger is trained i take my time and make sure that they know what they are doing before they are on their own. Do I make mistakes you bet but I always appoligise for it after. We have rules that we need to follow just like if you show up to the register and your credit card is NOT signed I WILL card you I do it all the time and I see that people hate it well guess what deal with it we are doing our job. Now you are going to say the customer is always right well to me that goes so far until you are WRONG. Market Baskets that i have been into are clean and with customer support that I have never seen before.

I shop at the new store in New Bedford.I am very disappointed in the inconsistancy of a few of the items I purchase. The in house tuna salad can go from watery to just right. The "CRISPY" Gingersnap cookies can be nice and crisp one day, to as jewy as taffy. It doesnt seem to matter when I go, it just seems someone is not doing the same thing twice. PLease address this problem, ithelps you out as well. Thank You in advance.

Stadium store. Tewksbury. I bought some meat that was marked down with two viable sell days left, or so the pkg said. Got home, opened the pkg and boy was it ROTTEN! I took it back to the store, one of the employees looks at the pkg and says "its marked down meat, what do they expect?" Poor customer service. I shop what I can afford, and sometimes that does include mark downs. I felt so embarrassed!!! It makes me wonder if more of your employees simply dont do their jobs correctly or don't care. Not to mention that would be a major health dept violation. People can get ill or die!!!!

We were in your Mansfield, LA establishment and while waiting in line behind a woman with a buggyload of meats, she paid for half of the stuff with a Louisiana Purchase card and the other half of the stuff she paid for with ANOTHER Louisiana Purchase card. Call me crazy but I think a person is only supposed to have only one of these cards. The cashier did not even blink an eye when the woman paid for her purchases with two different cards. Is this how Market Basket does business? Does Market Basket allow people to intentionally defraud the food stamp program, let alone the American taxpayers? I will be reporting this incident to the proper officials, you can bank on that!!

I would certainly love it if you opened a Market Basket in Hillsboro, NH. I know you would get a heck of a lot of business. So many people from Antrim, Deering, Hillsboro, Bennington would go there for sure cause it would be a lot closer to all of us. Your store is by far one of the best stores to shop at.

I have just started shopping at Market Basket since it is new to my area. The store has excellent merchandise and everything is well laid-out and clean. My problem is with the baggers. I bring reusable bags with me and I usually have more than enough for the amount of groceries I buy. However, the baggers seem to get pleasure out of seeing how much they can cram into one bag, making it impossible to lift. I have suggested,on occasion, that they distribute the groceries evenly but it always happens the next time I shop. Perhaps the baggers could be trained in how to distribute groceries so that the customer can get the bags into her house without breaking an arm!

I have always liked DeMoulas in Dracut, MA and I've lived in Manchester, NH since 1979. Recently, Market Basket opened on Elm St, Manchester, NH, where I now generally shop. Today, my son wanted 2 breakfast sandwiches and orange juice. After we bought it, we went to the condiments area to find no ketchup. We went up to ask only to be told by a gal that there was some at the condiments area. She walked us back over there and saw there was none, so she looked under the cabinets to which she said they were all out of ketchup packets. How does a place like Market Basket run out of ketchup packets in the condiments area? Was someone not doing their job like taking inventory and replacing what needed to be replaced? Obviously not. I've never worked in a supermarket but I'm guessing that is someone's job. Someone dropped the ball.

i hate everything about working at this company

my name is Jose I live at Salem MA, i usually go to the Salem location on highland ave.the last couple time that i been there i have to go to customer to get something , and i can tell you the girls that works inside they don't have people skill..they don't let you know when they are ready , you just waiting on line..today there it was a gentlemen who bought a whole pig he paid for it $ 373.00 after he paid it the girl walked out without said anything to him ,5 minutes passed by and the gentlemen was the one that told her where it was the receipt, her responded was " I am sorry i forget" now my question is how you been a customer services specialize can forget that a customer is stand there for services..Then was my turn i had a package of yogurt that i took the wrong flavor i had the receipt and she just asked me if i returned because i used the $1.00 off coupon that the package had ..she didn't even asked if there was any problem with he product..i worked with customer at my job and i felt that is outrage seen how you guys have that kind the customer services in your company..it is ashamed see that..Thank you for your time

Shop at MB when in NH. We live in Abington,MA and are excited about the Brockton store opening. Great buys, clean, friendly staff. Like the Bakery and fresh produce as well. Glad for the competition! Other supermarkets prices seem to keep going up all the time. Wish you would open a store in Hillsboro NH. Heard that there was but no further info.We have a summer camp in Washington and need one.Don't like Shaws at all.

We live in the Plymouth, NH area where there is a Hannaford and a super Walmart. Because the Walmart store does not have a good reputation for its meats and groceries, Hannaford remains the only game in town for quality foods. Plymouth is an ideal place for a market because Plymouth businesses serve people from about 8 to 10 surrounding towns. It is a real hub for central New Hampshire. Because of the proximity to NH lakes and ski areas there is a larger population in both the summers and winters that move into the Plymouth area. There is commercial land available along Rt. 25 west of Plymouth. Why not build a new store in the Plymouth area instead of building a second store in the same community as you have done in some areas? I didn't rate the store be-cause the nearest one to us is in Tilton, over 20 miles away, so we don't shop at Market Basket as often as we would like.

You would certainly get a 5-stars BUT, I am very alarmed that you sell pork products from the Hatfield Farm. Just Google Hatfield farm/Pigs/Maltreatment and you will get a big surprise. This(these)videos went viral a few years back. I HAVE SENT THIS INFORMATION TO NUMEROUS FRIENDS AND FAMILY. In turn, they will likely do the same. I don't think you should support a farm that has a history of maltreatment. We could argue the merits of vegetarianism (I am not one) but this is not about that. Civilized cultures do not support cruelty toward the animals that nourish them. DO THE RIGHT THING AND DO NOT SELL PORK FROM HATFIELD
