JUST TODAY AT THE MEDINA HOBBY LOBBY ,THE MANAGER WAS AT THE STORE I WAS PURCHASING ALOT OF ITEMS WHEN I CAME ACROSS AN ITEM AT 66% OFF STILL COSTING $30.20 AND I ASK THE MANAGER WOULD HE COME DOWN ANY MORE BECAUSE THE ITEM NEEDED TO BE WELDED AND PAINTED ...AND HIS ATTITUDE WAS VERY RUDE AND A BIT HARSH ABOUT REFUSING TO LOWER THE COST ANYMORE AFTERALL THE STORE WILL THROW IT AWAY CUZ THERE IS NO WAY ANYONE ELSE WILL PURCHASE THIS ITEM..I ONLY WANTED IT BECAUSE I COULD HAVE FIXED IT AND I THINK THE MANAGER NEEDS TO PRACTICE GOOD POLICY BEHAVIOR ...NEEDLESS TO SAY I WALKED OUT OF THE STORE VERY DISHEARTEN AND THE STORE LOST A COSTUMER AND $100.00

never have what I need. People do not know the jobs or how to enter act with the costumer. they just push you off. the manger doesn't like to hear that his people along with himself are just yes people. he (the manager) didn't want to hear what i had to say about his people maybe he never heard of the frist adminment the right to free spech anywhere any place. I said what i flet the way i was treated by your employee's actions. he acted as thourh is was a dictetor. I asked for the price of an item because it wasn't marked!!!!!! The response I rec'd was, PROBABLY $24.95 cause it's about the same size as this . They told me the didn't use inventory sheets but rec'd so much merchandise in groups they had to figure out how to price them. You clerks are rude and very unprofessional.

After reading all these poor comments, I can see there is no reason to complain about what they did to little ole me. Seems like the overall view most seem to have, which I share, is they are lacking in customer service. I"ll think I'll just eat the 80.00 dollars and stay out of Hobby Lobby all together. With the exception of the home decor you can get most of the craft supplies at Michael's anyway and they price match. Thanks but no thanks. Hobby Lobby!

It is the closest store to where I live but poor poor service, reps are rude and so is the management. Also you can never find anything as the aisles are not labeled and they tell me corporate does not allow them to label them. That's crazy. Do not go there unless it is absolutely my last hope. Who wants to spend an hour looking for an item or for that matter a store employee. Too bad that they do not realize the amount of business they are losing; or they don't care.

i went to the slidell louisiana hobby lobby today i purchased something i thought was on sale it wasnt so i asked for a refund i was told to go to a different register(i never left the store) so i walked over got in line again after a 20 minute wait to check out the first time told the girl what happened she started returning my items asked for my id i provided it the reciept says valid id on all returns then she asked for my phone number i dont like to give my phone number out i dont want companies calling me over refunds. she then called a manager who called another manager which came over to me and said i cant have my money back without a phone number so now hobby lobby you cant have a refund if you dont have a reciept an id and a phone number what if im poor and dont drive or have a phone?? finally she said with a roll of her eyes just put in all 9's. the cashier did i asked for corp phone number the cashier called the manager and whispered something to her on the phone then gave me the number i told her i was calling for the way the manager acted and because if a customer asks for the corp number you have to give it to them you cant refuse she said its policy they dont give out the number. i finally left after and hour. this is not the first time i have had a problem with this store if the sign says ALL floral items 50 % off then how can the manager pick an choose whats included with that this store has rude managers and employees everytime i go in I WILL NOT BE RETURNING EVER

I have had 2 very poor customer relation problems with Hobby Lobby in Springfield,Illinois. The first being I had bought $300.00 worth of things for my daughters wedding and when I got home one of the vases had a big crack in it. I brought it back and was told they couldn't do anything about it because I didn't have my receipt and it was the last one. I asked if I could just have store credit then(because I USE to shop there all the time)they said NO because they weren't getting anymore in.......Hmmmm I went back in 2 weeks later and they had a shelf FULL of them. 2nd complaint was I went there with my mom to buy flowers and we each had a coupon so we checked out seperately and hers was marked 19.95 and rang up at 9.95. Mine was the same but did not ring up at sale price so they called the floral manager (Mark) and he was extremly RUDE ......so RUDE that we both walked out without the merchandise and neither one of us will ever step foot in there again.....Now they lost 2 more customers in which word of mouth is the best advertising and I have a BIG one. So...needless to say I pass the word around and in doing so, have learned from many people who have been treated the same and will also never go back. Keep up the good work HOBBY LOBBY and you will be closing your doors!

Shopped Thursday April 19, 2012 at the Cookeville, TN Store #216. The Cashier (perhaps Supervisor) is Katarm. Her register i.d.#01-0001 002; employee#67187. I purchased four chair cushions with three of my friends; we all had the Hobby Lobby 40% discount coupon. All the cushions were for me; however, how is THAT any of Katarm's business. We each had the appropriate coupon and we Each paid for the purchase. When Katarm saw that all the cushions were going to me; she started getting hostile, saying, "I don't HAVE to LET you do this since its one coupon per customer. Her tone was rude,condescending and loud. I pointed out to Katarm that we EACH had a separate coupon and we EACH made a separate purchase. She kept being rude and I told her to "Just be quiet and put that crap in the bag!" As a former school teacher, I make it my conviction to never tell people to "Shut Up." However,I did have to use my School-teacher firmness to get her back on track. Remember how Dorothy told Toto: "We're not in Kansas anymore?" My friends and I agreed that we weren't in Home Depot----where employees know how to treat customers with courtesy, service and are knowledgeable about their own store policies. You really pulled from the bottom of the barrel with Katarm, who successfully ran off four Hobby Lobby customers and we're telling everyone we know.

The Eastgate Store in Ohio is a joke. Very poor service and the mangers is the biggest joke. I had for got my Visa Card so I decide to write a check. Had my ID ready. Which is a U. S. military picture ID. I have used this in every Hobby Lobby stores all around this country. NEVER had a problem till now. I don't drive so I have no driver license. I have always Just used the military ID with no problems many times in this store in Eastgate. First the cashier was very rude and ask what kind of ID is this (really).THen she said she needed two ID. Told her that was all I had and that is all I ever used in the store with no problems before now. She asked me what they write down on this ID and told I guess it's the S.S. number and she said that they was not allow to use it. I said well you are the cashier I think you should know cause the girls in here that checked me before has never had a problem. There was a asst. manger near by he came over, she asked about the ID. Now he looks at it, looks at the picture on it and looks at me. After doing this many times he then start to fill the card like it was homemade or something. He then say we don't take this and yes you do many times and many times in other Hobby Lobby stores. He then calls the store manger and this point the cashier says Oh you will have to call him on cell phone he won't answer his office phone. (interesting). After on the phone with him for a good five minutes they finally Ok my check. I called corp. office from my (100 percent disable from the U.S Army)husband car. She was very nice and told me the matter would be looked into, that she would send me a email on the matter. Never got a email. Not surprise. There is a Michael's and Joann's and a Hancock's store right in the same block. They have no problem with my ID. I run a home craft business. I have spend a lot of money in Hobby Lobby but no more. 0

I am very upset with hobby lobby would not giv us a discount on party supplies for the party we are throwing for our troops coming home from Afghanistan!! Sad..and they say they support our troops. Ridiculous. ONLY ASKED FOR A DISCOUNT AND WERE GOING TO SPEND WELL OVER $2,000 DOLLARS IN THERE. hobby lobby 127, When u know the manager there. not sure if it is true, but a another manager was let go cause of dateing an associate, u can see something is going on. with the manager at store 127 and associate in fabric. when the store is closed at night there both still there. I heard he meet her at a ice cream place down from work .someone saw him and her there. i here employees talking about the manager and associate. i thought that was a no no. and other employees I here cover it up. wow. I sure do not want shop at store with that going on. someone needs to do something. I and my friends well not be going to hobby lobby shopping.

This is an email that was sent through hobby lobby's website on 3-10-12. At 12:30. Just left the location of your hobby lobby in Pittsburgh Pa on Steubenville pike. I just received the WORSE customer service I have ever received from and employee of a retail company! The associate at the desk in the floral department is a rude individual. I am a manger for Bed Bath and Beyond and I would never have an employee like that work in my store. From the moment stepping up to the floral desk instead of politely asking me how she could assist me she asked in a rude tone did you need something? I was picking up addition flowers for my center pieces for my wedding. So today would of been another $200 trip in your store but because of her I walked out with nothing. Don't know if I will be returning to your store if associates act this way. After she returned with my flowers I had concerned with the colors of the flowers. While showing her the pictures on m phone of my other flowers in the middle of a conversation she left me an upset costumers to help at the register. If you pride yourself on customer service you never walk away from a disappointed customer. When she returned I asked to speak to the manager when she then got even ruder started raising her voice at me and my Fiancé! If I had an associate do this they would be excuse for the day! She told me I was gawking at her instead of telling her I needed help! She proceeded to say rude this to me when Bob the co-efficient manger came over. He even had to tell her to stop being rude to me! I have never been treated this way by someone I was trying to pay 200 dollars to! I walked out d your store with spending no money and a disappointment in your associate! I would like to be contacted about this situation please. Contacted Bob again and associates name in Lynn. Will be contacting corporate tomorrow AM about the situation.

First I have to preface this request with: I am not, normally, a retail store shopper if I can help it. I usually shop on-line for what it is I need. I am not a material person so I do not require a lot of stuff but I went into the new Hobby Lobby Store in Temecula, California recently and to my wonderful surprise the moment I walked in, I felt a warm, beautiful, Spirit in the store, the Spirit of God. I quickly found a book near the front of the store that tells the story of the owner, David Green, Hobby Lobby and how David got started. David applied the principles of God to his life and business: Jesus first, family second, David third, business last. The results of applying Jesus' principles are: a loving family (HAPPY WOMAN, HAPPY LIFE), and a successful business selling stuff no one NEEDS but selling merchandise that if you are going to buy "stuff" you are buying stuff that is affordable and positive "stuff" you would want in your home. Hobby Lobby is not selling anything that is questionable or crack-a-doodle. (That most of the items come from China is for another day.) What impressed me most was the Beautiful Spirit in the store. One would never know that The USA was in an economic crisis if they walked into a Hobby Lobby Store, today. I love that because in God's Kingdom there are no crisis's , economic, political or social and Hobby Lobby is proof that living Jesus' Way: making Jesus first in our Heart, making Jesus the Master of our Heart, Mind and Soul, Jesus will take care of everything else: GREAT or small. Now to my concern. Hobby Lobby's financial base are Women. Ninety percent of Hobby Lobby's consumer base are Women. Women have special needs when it comes to using the restroom facilities, like we NEED TO SEAT DOWN. This is not feasible in a Hobby Lobby restroom because they do not supply toilet seat protection covers. Women then, resort to lining the toilet seat with toilet paper. The toilet paper winds up all over the floor, which is not sanitary nor safe. And keeping the toilet paper in place when seating on the commode is a very difficult task. When I voiced my concern to many employees they said, "That's all we hear all day long, is the complaint about the toilet seat protection covers." Then the employees said, "There is nothing we can do about it, sorry." My questions to David Green are: 1). David since your customer base is mostly Women wouldn't want to keep the Women happy? Do you know what it is like being a woman and having to use a restroom? Do you know what it is like to place a child on a toilet seat covered in toilet paper? Do you know how hard it is to hold a child above a toilet seat so they don't touch the seat? What about older women who don't have the strength anymore in their thighs to straddle over a toilet? 2). David do you value your employees and your customers, if you do are you concerned that all day long the employees are having to hear one complaint after another about the toilet seat protection covers? I know if I had to deal with that, everyday, as an employee, it would not make me enthusiastic to come to work. Folks can deal with problems. What folks don't want to do is deal with the SAME problem everyday when there is a simple solution: INSTALL TOILET SEAT PROTECTION COVERS, problem solved, everyone's happy, customer and employees. Every single employee is a delight at Hobby Lobby. If I were the owner of a company I would want to keep it that way. 3). If you are trying to save money by not having toilet seat covers aren't you spending just as much in toilet paper that ends up all over the floor, money to pay employees to clean it up and then lawsuits from the Women who slip and fall on the toilet paper? Your Life is a Book, a continuation of the Words Of Jesus, what will you write in the pages of Your Book today, David Green? Hopefully, it will be, "I installed toilet seat protection covers for both the Women's and the Gentleman's Restrooms because I want to do what is right for the customer and the employees Jesus has blessed me with. I would have given Hobby Lobby a 10+ but my rating reflects poor because I have to think twice before I will shop at Hobby Lobby now. I have a small bladder and if I cannot use the restroom I will not patron that store. I been to the Hobby Lobby in Stafford Tx, dont really like to go there, the manager is rude he looks at u like ur stupid. or walks away when u ask him something. Does not really help anyone. I watch how he Treats his Employes How can i say this one employee was leaving, she said by to him iam leaveing , he likes leave go. that is not right. i Feel bad for the employees there. and i can see them getting tired being treated unkindly, i talk to afew them , some just wanted to cry., there talk to down to, u can not talk the store manager they said, If u say anything they get there hours cut. or tells u u need to leave if u dont like it here, wow, and i see he has his favorites, yea kind wonder. about that, i see how he treats some of his favorties, Maybe u need go talk to the employees. There, I can understand why they are they way they are, theres no excuse for being rude but if ur manager is and he doesnt care. the moral has gone down. alot them are very depressed. working under him. the employees are not all treated the same, ? some are treated like there nothing, i know few the employees there , i feel so bad for them. alot them love there job. and they work hard , and the manager doesnt even care. all he cares about is who he can flirt with. and who flirts back. is the a Christian Store. i see some them crying. the stress is to much, this should be fun store. to work at. not a store of hate. I have had been to hobby lobby 5 times in past year & every single time I swear I will never step foot inside again. the customer service is awful!! i can list 30 reasons but im not wasting my time on them again....ever! this time i am done 4ever with ur rude employees & ur overpriced merchandise! save the time & money & go to any other craft store. they will belittle you trust me. im calling corporate in morning 2 tell them they lost a good customer forever!

Today 2-15-12 at Hobby Lobby in Normal, Il. I chose to buy a pink bible with a price tag of $1.99. There were several more with the same price tag of $1.00. At the check out counter the clerk said the price was marked incorrectly. I made the statement that since the bibles were all marked $1.99 they should be sold at the price. I soke with the manager (Dave) and he would not sell it at that price. I believe that price should have been honored. Isn't that the correct way to do business? I have shopped at Hobby Lobby stores almost every week and I was very disappointed.

Hobby Lobby needs to adapt a new system for hiring managers. It's such a shame that some of these stores employee a group of good people who are dedicated and for the most part enjoy their customers and their jobs. It's the people in management that don't belong there because they don't know how to lead the team nor empower their employees. Instead, they put them down, play favorites, don't take suggestion from the customers or the employees, and limit the full potential of great people. I've watched the store manager personally treat employees and customers badly. The district manager is just as bad! The store manager has had previous complaints made by customers and other managers that have worked at the store in Mishawaka, IN. After reading mostly negative comments about several Hobby Lobby stores if I were the president of this private company then I would definitely realize that many changes are disparately needed within this organization. Christian or not, this is a business and you've lost many talented individuals because the absence of good management practices. Sad!

Hi! I am not one to complain. However, I do feel it is my civic duty to report that Hobby Lobby in Lynnwood, Washington's manager is the worst I have ever seen in terms of leadership. Bo has the cashier manager not give breaks to the cashier's unless they make waves...this is unlawful and a disgrace. Also, to this day he has a problem about following through. Meaning, I have not moved and somehow they had the wrong address in the system and to this day I have not received my W2 information finding out that I will need to corporate to hopefully fix this unjust error. I am mortified that corporate would even consider keeping this manager. I have seen first hand how he treats employees, including the lies that I heard him say. He also jokingly put down the government and their helpful efforts in finding potential employees for the Lynnwood store. Just how ungrateful is that? This store for management gets a total of 0 star rating. One more major issue. Management would not pay employees who waited in the parking lot after their lunch (clocked out and told to wait) while the fire chief was doing an inspection for three hrs. After three hours waiting all employees for that shift was sent home with no pay and NO THANKS! The economy is bad and good hard employees should not be mistreated for their well deserved loyalty.
