you people are crazy...complain complain complain.....most of you are complaining about Barclays....in regards to your points and miles....which honestly has nothing to do with Barclays...when you pay your acct late you are hit with a late fee, there is no way you were hit with a late fee for paying early...maybe you should read your statement...Because most likely you missed a payment or did not meet the payment obligation or current mmp...i work in collections at another cc company...i hear the same thing day in and day out.....its never your fault....i am sick of hearing all the sob stories.....pay your bills if you cant afford it then dont buy it..its that simple...stop trying to compete with the jones'.....

While we haven't had nearly as bad an experience as the ones above, I would agree with all of them that the offshore service centers are a problem. We have had them cancel our card for fraud, when I've called them to tell them that the charges are ours. And then they say they will send a new card and don't. But I think the worst problem is that we have had fraud on our card, and I think it is coming from within their organization. I can't find any other way to explain how there could be fraud on a new card, that we haven't even received yet. You might think that it happened en route, but the fraud is at the same place (in a distant city), as on the previous card, which was also cancelled for fraud. So, I too would steer clear of them. Except that the USAir miles are really great, and gives us preferred status at US Air.

The annual companion fare and free day pass offer are a scam, they tell you it must have been lost in the mail, it takes 6 to 8 weeks to get another "kit" mailed out. All the blogs and reports I have been reading are the same, you can call them all you want, but, you never EVER receive your anniversery kit with the companion fare or the free day pass. If you have the same problem, ask for a case number get a supervisor. It will NOT help to contact USAIR, the problem is with Barclays. Good luck.

They suck!!! Do not get a Barclays card- We joined to get Air Tran travel points. They never moved our points form the card so we could use them for travel. We have made 10 attempts through the customer service which is outsourced to India and we get a run around! We feel this card company is a scam!! My next time to Delaware I am going by the cooperate office. I am also calling the local news! Now I even hate Air Tran maybe southwest will do a beter job!!

I made a cash transfer from my barclay credit card to my personal checking account on line on 8/3/11, but it wouldn't accept the bank routing number and checking account number so I entered my debit card number associated with the checking account. I checked online for days, but alerted it's "in process." On 8/9/11, I checked again and again alerted "in process." I checked on 8/15/11 and it was "processed" on 8/8/11 (??). I checked with my bank - it's not there! I checked again on 8/16/11 - it's not there. I contact Barclaycard and they they me it there (!!??!!). I tell them it's not. They told me it would take a couple of days for my bank to process it. I called me bank and they told me that no transaction can be transferred into my checking debit card. I made a claim on 8/16/11 - it will take up to 10 business days for the transaction to be research. I called 8/17, 8/18, 8/19 and got different answers from different customer service reps. By this time, I'm frustrated and again, talk to someone on 8/19 to resolve the matter. They told me that it would take not only 10 business days for the money to be "retrieved" from wherever it was lost, but another 10 business days for them to transfer the money to my account. I told them to cancel the transaction altogether (let's see if that actually happens.) I will NEVER do business with them again and advise everyone to avoid them!

Incompetent doesn't begin to describe Barclay Bank. I am trying to get a mortgage right now and I have been going around in circles with this bank for over a month- and now they tell me there's NOTHING they can do. They advised me what to do and THEY did not take care of their part---and now it's put me in a WORSE position than prior. THIS BANK IS SO INCOMPETENT. You are on hold for over half an hour- no one to talk to -- no one to handle problems--HORRIBLE COMPANY- I WISH THIS COMPANY AND ALL THEIR EMPLOYEES WOULd GO UNDER. Thanks to Barclay Bank my mortgage cannot process.

This is hands-down the worst credit card I have ever had. And the first one for which I've paid a yearly fee, ironically enough! A "hold" was put on my account multiple times (thus I could not use the card) due to suspected fraudulent activity. (None of the charges proved to be problematic.) What good is a cc if I suddenly can't use it when I need it?? Each time I had to call them and verify the charge. Then - when a fraudulent charge did appear, I reported it. NO ONE at Barclays told me that they would cancel the old card and replace it with a new number. I found THAT out when I could no longer use my existing card. I called and they told me they would then send me a new card - and they charged me a $29.99 fee for it!! I was furious, as the rep I spoke with assured me that the charge would immediately be credited and that I would not have to pay for this new card due to all of the trouble I've had with the account. So I called again today, and spoke with yet another RUDE customer service rep. She told me that she would take off the fee (we'll see), but that would only apply to the next billing cycle. I cannot take the amount off of this bill -- if I don't pay the statement in full this month I will be charged a friggin finance charge! I'm am SOOOO looking forward to CANCELING this card. Have to get through some more of their garbage red tape first. FYI - almost every call has resulted in talking to a person with a heavy accent. I have no idea where their call center is ... but it's likely not in the US!

This company is the worst. I, as many other customers, just got hit with a late fee because I paid my monthly payment too early. After numerous email attempts to get the fee reversed as a one time exception since I'm a new customer and have never heard of this type of a procedure tried to call and speak to a Manager. That also proved to be a complete an utter waste of time. Their customer service people respond with scripted answers, the manager, Erica, was also ready from scripted responses and the answers make absolutely no sense. I just wrote a written complaint to see if that helps however based on the comments from others, I'm assuming that was another waste of my precious time. I will be paying and closing this card and recommending that Airtran tries to find a new card provider with a customer service culture closer to their own.

I am so sorry that I didn't check this site before I got my US AIR credit card. I signed up for a credit card by phone and the customer service person in Manilla convinced me that by transferring my balance on my other credit card I could get additional miles. What I didn't know was that by doing so I would be charge an over $200 transfer fee!! Supposedly all the "rules" were read to me by phone and this is highly possible but considering that the person I was talking to sounded like a robot and read off about 100 rules, I most likely didn't catch the rule about the transfer fee. DO NOT GET A CARD THAT IS LINKED TO BARCLAYS!!!!!!!!!!

Poor only in relations to your debt collections people. I keep trying to pay my bill in full and all I get are your service people who demand that I either pay the bank some $250 or send all the payment in a envelope to the payments department. The trouble is Barclays has revoked my card privileges, which is understandable, [I was out of work], therefore the standard agreement does not legally apply anymore. If I send in some $3,500, maybe your bank sends me another bill for accrued charges, and even with a full payoff, you may continue to show my credit as a bad loan. This can happen because our original agreement is defunct. I therefore do not have confidence in the simple stuffing of an envelope. So all I want is a simple letter [USPS or Email], stating that my payment in full [specific amount to be stated, interest and principle] will constitute a proper end to the account and that my credit will not be adjudge as a bad loan or a settled loan. WHY IS IT THAT BARCLAYS DOESN'T WANT ME TO PAY MY CREDIT CARD LOAN? ARE YOU STATING THAT YOU DON"T WANT MY PAYMENT? IF SO THEN YOU HAVE LEGALLY STATED THAT YOU HAVE FORGIVEN MY LOAN. THANK YOU! BUT if you desire a legal and equitable end to this credit account, send me a letter by email or USPS at PO Box 1187, East Longmeadow, Ma 01028, and we can both be happy.

Atrocious customer service. Barclay's calls their calling-center employees, "relationship specialists." You will call them, "dysfunctional relationship specialists" if you ever have to deal with them and this company. You cant talk to anyone who matters. The company wants it's fees and will not dirty it's hands dealing with real people. I strongly suggest shredding your card before you ever have an issue with it. It will only bring you frustration and anger. These guys are fee-crazed gorillas and with so many competitors that actually care whether you shred your card or not, it's so not worth it.

they will not take off a late fee when i never received the stmt with a perfect payment history. no one speaks english and it is very frustrating. i will not pay the fee and i refuse to even think of barclays again

A few yrs. Back Barclay's Bank Delaware replaced the old L.L. Bean Card. I accepted the transition. Things have been fine until I tried to Refinance my home and the unsecured credit card showed a lien on my property. I have perfect credit, there is no reason for this to have been a lien on my home!!!! CRAZY!! Now I have to take card of removing a lien and is delaying my refinance. The Barclay's customer service assured me my card was unsecured but the only way to begin fixing the problem is to close the credit card! So, if you have this card I recommend you check your credit report for an unknown lien against your property! WHATEVER!@!!!

we all need to report Barkley bank r fraud,deceptive practices mis-representation, misleadilng advertising; to the federal banking commission & do an onslot of compaints to other US fed.depts & our congressmen & then hope & pray they aren't all on the B.O.D.& or it was sold to China! America is becoming the rise & fall of the roman empire....& we are all Nero!

DO NOT, I repeat, do not open a US Airways World Premier Master Card. I have had NUMEROUS problems with rewards points not being transfered, posting payments late, & not delivering what they promise in their contract of terms. They have the worst customer service (off shore phone representatives) who are not trained in dealing with legitimate customer complaints. Unlike American Express, who I have NEVER had a problem with in over 15 years. You will continue to get the same story from an offshore customer service Rep. 1. You call Barclay's. They tell you the miles have been transfered, there is nothing more they can do. 2. You then ask to speak to a supervisor if they cannot help you. 3. They put you on hold & the next thing you know, they've transferred you back to US Airways reservations! 3. US Airways (also, sometimes offshore) tells you to call Barclay's! I pay my card balance in full each month, way before the due date, however, they are not transferring the miles! I have 5 emails on record to Barclays, they promise 7-10 days, then 30 & still nothing happens. I have not used this card in over a month waiting to see if the miles are transferred. I've decided to close my account today after waiting 2 months & I'm sure I will never receive my 10,000+ plus reward miles. I have also sent letters & emails to US Airways complaining about Barclay's Bank customer service, who pays US Airways a fee to advertise (look under US Airways Corporate web page on ways to pay US Airways to advertise), and they don't care. The next time you fly US Airways, and the flight attendants or customer service reps ask you to sign up for their Master Card, I ask you to do the following. 1. LOUD enough for other passenger's to hear, let them know about all the horrible publicity you have just read about US Airways World MasterCard, Barclay's Bank, Wilmington, DE. Thank you.

I was declined a credit card for being underage. I may not act my age but I'm in my 50's.

I got a Barclays credit card thru Virgin America . To get miles in the airlines's reward program. The Barclay's people in Manila are amazingly rude and the credit department is so stupid that I'm going to drop out of this program. Beyond the frustrating people issues, the points I earned from my Visa payments got applied to an account which is not mine. Terrible financial institution!

Barclays is an incomptent bank, poor customer service. I knew 8 people that banked with them but after hearing stories of people having difficulty, all of them have credit unions and changed cards...Huge loss for Barclays...

firsthand, some americans cannot trust YOU guys that's why they carry business in the Philippines. american people even dont know how to spell "Barclays" (Betty) or spell "dealt" (sharon) correctly. you cannot understand that every bank has it's own processes yet you keep on comparing other banks to Barclays' processes, also you keep on yapping and yapping about your annual fee thinking that when you applied for the card the annual fee is already there. and at the first place, if you are disappointed w/ Barclays, WHY DID YOU OPENED AN ACCOUNT?? who's the MORON now??HA-HA-HA. and to make you guys pissed, i am from the Philippines. attached is my picture: có

Have tried to get Barclays(Us Air credit card) enrolled with my credit counseling for a year and a half now. They keep rejecting all of the proposals from the credit counseling firm, and will not tell me why. The reps just keep saying to resubmit. Last month they closed my account after I made a 2000 payment b/c they said they found out I was enrolled in a credit counselnig program. No kidding. They say that I am not elligible for a credit counseling program, iternal or external, b/c my account is not passed due(they just told me that today after a year and a half). I wrote a letter to the executive offices, and still have not received a response. How the heck is it legal for this bank to operate in the US when it is creating such hardships for the American clients. Never do business with these crooks.
