I had the worst experience in your Michigan Ave. store in downtown Chicago,IL. I am never treated fair at this location. Today had to be the worst experience. I was sent there by FENDI of North America about a handbag I purchased and it started to unravel at the seam. I paid for repairs at the Oak Brook, Il. location where they sent it off for repairs. Nontheless, The handbag started to unravel again. I am a working 9-5 woman whom treat myself to nice things. I do not carry the bag everyday considering it was not cheap and I want to enjoy it. I was heartbroken from the customer service I received.

Why do I need to give all my personal info (address, phone, email) when buying cash at this store? I once returned an item which I had the receipt and paid cash, I needed to give all my prsonal info as well as my drivers license. This is an invasion of privacy, why do they need these info, there is no valid reasons at all. The rude woman at the cash told me that if I have nothing to hide why should it be a problem to give my presonal info. I told her, why shold I give my info to someone I don't know. I should for refused but I was in a rush and wanted to get out of there. A few years back when buying something at Radio shake I gave my personal info. the cashier, a man, started calling me asking me out! when I refused, he showed up at my house. So yes, I am worried giving my personal info to people I don't know and companies that keep my info in there system, for what? If ever my house get broken in to I will give the stores name of which I gave my info to, seriously.

For the last 2 yrs, we have been getting phone and snail solicitations to Mr/Mrs Clark. So we are wondering why there is no more SMART people working at your store? Clark is my middle name. NOT my last sir name. Michael C. Hardin Please tell your people if they phone my wife, to address her as MRS HARDIN, not Mrs. Clark. She just laughs at you!

This week I tried to buy a coat for $980 at Neiman Marcus in Chicago and was told by a very rude woman in the credit dept. that I was only allowed to charge $500. I have always paid every bill on time and in full. I have a $50,000 limit on my Master Card which the store would not accept. I offered my debit card which was also refused. I carry no checks. I seldom shop at the store because I live half the year in our Paris apartment. We also own our house in downtown Chicago. I am retired and refused to give "my salary" to the credit dept. woman. I was insulted and appalled at the policies of a store which is clearly not doing well.

Om Monday the 22nd of November 2010 I was in your store and purchased a Noodle and Boo baby soap. I shop in Northbrook Illinois location. When I got home I noticed that the soap was white and usually it is pink. I used it on wednesday and it smelled different. It had an unusual odor. I am very upset because I came to a conclusion that this item is old and has been sitting on shelf in the sunlight somewhere and they sold my child an old product that is not safe to use. This is not the first time this happened. A year ago I used to buy Kiehls products and noticed that moisturizers were not fresh and had crust on top. I made the sales lady open several jars and they were all crusty, opened and used. One of the tops in the Burberry section I purchased had strong perfume scent on it. This scent just does not come from someone trying it on. It was worn and returned by someone prior to me purchasing. I stopped shopping in that store because it reminded me of a thrift store. I usually use Neiman Marcus online and get fresh products but I ran out of the soap and figured they would at least have fresh soap handy. Boy I was wrong. I now need to return the soap back and wonder why I should spend gas money driving back 30 miles out of my way because Neiman Marcus sells dirty used or old items. Can you help me out with this situation. Natalie

I shop in Neiman Marcus in Miami, Las Vegas and White Plains, NY. I took a group of friends and family to the Westbury Outlets in Central Valley, NY. I started shopping in Neiman Marcus and found a collection of outfits to purchase. Realizing my cell phone battery was low and wanting to be accessible to my younger son, I made the unfortunate misjudgment to plug it in while I tried on boots. Within minutes, a woman ripped my charger out and shrieked, "You!" "You're the one!" "You're the one who is STEALING utilities!" I was stunned...mortified. I expresed that I regretted I was in error but would she PLEASE stop embarrassing me and speak in a dignified tone. "Barbara" continued her rant with a maniacal laugh, with her jaw jutted out. She appeared clearly disturbed. Other nearby shoppers were stunned and quietly departed from the area. Shaken and stunned, I found an operations manager and explained what happened. It was obvious from her reaction that this was not the first incident with that employee. Although I've always loved Neiman Marcus lines, I did not expect to be attacked in a store whose hallmark is superior customer service. I hope to be able to return to Neiman Marcus to shop but until then I will encourage others to enjoy the profesional atmosphere of Sachs Fifth Avenue.

on or about april 15, 2008 i made a purchase of a armani shoe and chanel bag. while on a jury trial the shoe which had been worn (2), strap fell off! this occurred in may 2010. i returned the shoe to the atlanta store, where mark fillion is the store mgr. "tasha" was acting on his behalf as well as miss leigh bell. both of whom stated since the purchase was over (1) year they could not take back the merchandise, even though, they could clearly see that the shoe was not even slightly or gently worn... i was told i had to PAY neiman marcus to ship the shoe off to be repaired. this, is UNACCEPTABLE! macy's has a better return policy on its merchandise which is all imported from taiwan or china! moreover, on the following sunday, i was in church when the bag that was purchased with the armani shoe, fell apart. the "CC" which operates as a snap for the lamb skin bag dropped on the floor and rolled down the church aisle. i was too embarrased to go retreive it. as of this day, i do not have use of this bag for the snap is gone and hence the bag cannot be closed. my question then to this establishment and to its customers is "where is this merchandise being manufactured?" due to these two(2) most unfortunate and eye opening events, it leads me to believe that there is a defect in the manufacturing of the "high end" products which are sold in neimans. initially, i was going to allow my dissatisfaction with these products and the store, go unattended, however, i cannot. total amount of the transaction on 4/15/08 was $2700. i have not received the benefit of my bargain. i have been treated as if i am attempting to take or steal from this establishment. neither of course is factual. more immediately though however, the customer service for the atlanta store needs to be revamped and re evaulated, from mark fillion down to the sales people who advised me to leave the store and take the defective merchandise to a shoe repair store and incur the out of pocket expenses, independent of neimans. the latter is indicative of shopping at strip mall with merchants who sell "knock off" merchandise. when i bought this merchandise the salesperson literally catered to my whims. now, that there is a legitimate complaint arising from the manufacturing of the merchandise the store's hierarchy is now devoid "common courtesy and professionalism." there is no customer service. i am respectfully requesting a PROPER and ADEQUATE redress to the my complaint and hope that others who read this will not be subjected to the same dubious standard of care (or lack thereof) as i have from the atlanta lenox square store. i demand CUSTOMER SERVICE. after all, i have paid "good money" for it! murble a. wright dissatified customer

Today, a tourist visited your store in Chevy Chase and had the worst experience, she asked a lady with an african accent to help her to choose the correct fragance, but the lady was not so happy in helping her contrary to it, she got mad when the female tourist requested other fragances.... Then, the african lady talked with a co-worker named, Will....and he in an insulting way told the lady in Spanish "good bye and out" the tourist felt so embarrased that inmediately asked for his namet .... I am the tour guide and I feel risponsable for this situation, I didn't know that your store has a policy that if one don't buy inmediately then will be harrassed and insulted.....This kind of behavior is not acceptable especially coming from such reputable department store as yours....""I KNOW NOW WHY THE ECONOMY IS GOING THIS WAY ..... you should trained your people and realized that tourists are a great asset to this city and to your business!
