I purchased a pair of shoes for my wife off of DSW's online site. I accidentally ordered the wrong shoes and when I tried to call customer services 1866 number and ask for a rep , I get the background music..... for an hour the 1st time. So i figured they were at lunch. I called back an hour lateron hold for 20 min. Called back and was on hold another 30 minute... does anyone actually work at this place or is it just a front to sell drugs or something. Very upset to speak the lightest. Would be nice to actually be able to talk to someone even if they told me I had to wait and return the shoes... how unprofessional

My advice whenever you have a issue wtih these companies jsut report them to the BBB. You will get it resolved. Their customer servic eis no customer serivce. I am currently havign issues with an online purchase, I called into chgne my order minutes after it was placed it, I was on the lien for almost 30mins. when I got a rep she told me she can't chgne the order but she will send an email to the warehouse??? my question is what is the purpose fo C/Serv. they shipped it out and then they have the nerves to charged me again antoher $8 plue for what I dont know left a msg for one their mamger told her willb e contacting the BBB if this is not resolved.

As far as shopping its an ok store. i wouldnt say its my absoulte favorit but its nice jsut like any other shoe store. Now as far as working there....STAY AWAY.. so micro managed. I was lied to and lied to. I was told i would get a mim of 20 hr a week and they stated me off at 20 then the next week went to 18 and just kept going down, they cut my hours so much i was getting 14 or less hr every 2 weeks. they would call me and tell me not to go in. the managers in Frico Tx do not know how to do there jobs correctly.i would never treat my employess the way i and so many oters were treated. My last day there was the day i gave my two weeks notice. I only got to work 1hr and 50min then they sent me home. called me the next day to tell me they cancelld my shifts for the remading part of the week and then didnt even put me back on the scedual, worst place in the world to work and the worst expseriance i have ever had with a group of managers.. all i have to say is pathetic

I see that other DSW customers have had the experience of trying to write a check at DSW and was declined for NO reason. The check company being used by DSW is Certegy. It is unbelievable what they put the customers of DSW through so much embarrassment and stress and then cannot give an answer for denying the customer's check. I spoke to management at DSW, Bud in particular at Madison Heights, MI store located at 14 mile and John R, he seemed to be kind by did not have the power to assist or protect this customer. The check company was very evasive as we tried to get an answer for the denial and they refused to help me. I did receive a letter from Certegy at my demand 2 weeks later that explained the denial stating: "Regarding the decline you experienced, although there were no returned checks on file, the check fell outside of approval guidelines". What does this mean?? My check has been declined only there.Therefore, it appears that DSW does not want to fix this and I am no longer going to shop at DSW.

I was declined when making a purchase paying by check. When I called back to the store at which I was declined to find out the name of the Check Approval Company I was informed that they could not tell me that. That I should contact my bank and that they will have the information. That is the biggest crock of bull that I have EVER heard. First off I have never bounced a check and secondly I have a right to know the company that declined me so that I may know as to why they did. Was it Telecheck, Certigy or who? To say that my bank will know is the lamest response this side of the Mississippi.

The manager in the DSW store in Portland Maine treats the employees very unprofessional. I don't believe she, Kim, has a degree in management. I believe she was probably hired as an associate and just work there long enough to become manager. She is inexperienced and has little professionalism. There is a huge turn over in help and it is most likely her management.

The DSW in Wayne, N.J. have the rudest people I've ever encountered. The cashier refused to take the deduction that was on the sticker of the shoe. She said we don't take deductions from those stickers. How stupid can she be? Very disappointing to encounter such rude employee's, especially when we are in a recession. The Corporate office should make sure that their employee's are trained in customer service etiquette before they start.

I purchased a pair of Steve Madden boots for $59.99 about three weeks before Thanksgiving. Absolutlely loved them...but while wearing them home to my parents the eve before Thanksgiving the heel cracked off...and it was a pretty thick heel and I am not a large person. However, since I loved them and wore them fo two weeks I threw the receipt away. I took them back to the DSW where I had purchased them in Robinson Township in Pittsburgh, PA. I was explaining my story to a female member of management when a large arrogant man came over and ask what the situation was...I proceed to explain to him what happpened and that I just wanited to exchange them for the same pair if they had my size...I did not want to return them. He said he could not do anything with out a receipt that I could have bought them anywhere. I told him that I thought he should stand behind is product and why should i be out of a 60 dollar pair of shoes when they only lasted 3 weeks. He roceeded to tell me that Steve Maddns are solod everywhere. I told him that yes they are but the same style that DSW is caring would not be found in Macy's or Marshalls for that matter of fact. I said the same exact shoe is sitting right there on your shelf...and I think it is bull shit that you are not going to make good on your merchandise. At that point he told me to get the hell out of his store that he did not have to listen to me. I tolod him I was calling the corporate office and he said good my name is JOe now get the hell out of my store. I have called the corporate head quarters and nobody has returned my call in two days. I will never make a nother purchase at DSW shoes and be sure I tell everyone I know about my experience. So if you are reading this I have a great suggestion....SHOP ZAPPOS.COM...free shipping, better selection, and great customer service! DSW is terrible!

I take offense to the Holiday tv commercial. Is this really what we want to teach our children? I will not step foot into a DSW store and I believe the viewing public deserves an apology for this tasteless marketing campaign.

I called dsw store in fort wort texas, young girl ansvwer my phone but she was rude and told other sales person I have tick and strong accent what I was talking abouht I hear all concervation, I had very clear conversation only think sales person didn' have patience and hasn't train enough.

With schools and the media on full alert with anti-bullying issues I cannot believe the DSW Holiday TV ad. How incredibly RUDE, Nasty and down right off putting. If you get a gift from someone you should have the courtesy to say Thank you and then do with it what you like, but to advertise rudeness because of receiving the wrong gift is just wrong! I wouldn't buy a thing from your company. Happy Holidays.

I was an employee in the Novi, MI store for three weeks when some real shaddy stuff went down with the manager. Very unprofessional. My level of professionalism would not allow me to work for them any more so I quit. After sending a letter to the corporate office and not recieving a phone call or a letter back I called to speak with someone and they appologized, but they did not assure me that the problem was going to be investigated or taken care of in the proper manor. I have never witnessed such unprofessionalism on so many people's part from within one company in my life. DSW should really be ashamed for the way they treat employees! I nor will my family or friends ever support this company.

ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2010 I SHOPPED IN YOUR DSW SHOE STORE IN WILLOW GROVE, PA. A YOUNG FEMALE SALES ASSOCIATE ASKED IF SHE COULD BE OF HELP TO ME. HER NAME WAS KELLY JEAN. SHE PROVED TO BE OF UTMOST ASSISTANCE TO ME AND WAS VERY PATIENT AND POLITE. SHE IS CERTAINLY AN ASSET TO YOUR COMPANY.

I think DSW is a great place to shop. I like the variety of brands and styles and that you can help yourself to find your sizes. I just wished they would also carry VANELI.

I placed an order online to have 2nd business day shipping, I ordered on Saturday and I assumed the shoe will be here Tuesday by 4:30, not exactly. It takes one WHOLE day just to process the order which actually means your not going to receive your shoes until the 3rd day. Don't be fooled by 2nd day shipping, if its not an emergency you may as well do standard shipping
