Guide

I bought some lures trying to use my Cabelas account visa. I already had another account setup. When I logged in it logged me in to the wrong account because my user name and password is the same. So instead of it charging me $5.00 freight it charged me $18.95 freight for 5 lures that didnt even weigh 1 pound. I immediately tried to stop shipment and all I got was the run a around. I will fight this even if I have to hire a lawyer. These big companies have so much business they dont't care if they screw you around they know someone else will be ordering something else. If this review will keep one other person from getting screwed by cabelas it was worth writing. Beware ordering online if you make a mistake your screwed. I can tell one thing they will loose more than $18.95 from me in the next few years

Guns

I would just like Cabelas to know that I had $3,000 to spend on a few guns and since they are to busy every time I call to inquire about a couple guns. I will be taking my business to the local shops owned and operated by fellow Idaho people and not by the corporate world.

4 strikes

I am done with Cabelas. They used to be a great place.. I had a Cabela's visa and bought all my stuff from them. In the past few years, though, it has gotten horrible. My major complaint is that in the town I lived in (Green Bay WI), there was a lot being offered for development near the highway with a wetland on it. Bass Pro Shops was supposed to develop a large retail store on the site, but after the public fervor that ensued, they backed out. In comes Cabela's and now one of their giant stores is paved over the wetland. This while there is a huge empty paved lot just down the road that would have been just fine. This and I have been misinformed about the license I need to buy to hunt in my previous home state. The last straw was that they don't have an autopay option on their CC that would have saved me some late fees that occured while I was in the process of moving recently. I hunt and fish a lot and work in the natural resources field and they have officially lost me and any of the work supplies I would have bought there. Not sure how you can cater to the waterfowling community and then pave over a wetland. Sheesh..

I was surprised that the review I posted many weeks ago was not available for public viewing. My experience at your E. Hartford, CT store was far from enjoyable....my account was accurate however you failed to grant me the right, to share my experience. Shame on you, Cabelas......

Great Store

the store exceeds my expectations over and over again.

Please Start Recyceling

Cabelas of all companies don't recycle there cans and bottles at least in the CT store when I asked the manager why she said the volume is to high and its hard to.. All more reason to start. Please cabelas of all companies you should adopte the practice of Recyceling cans and bottles its not hard to do..

Cabela's and the NRA

I am terminating my Cabela’s Club Visa account and will no longer purchase products from Cabela’s because of its strong monetary and social support of the National Rifle Association. The NRA is an organization which, rather than supporting hunting and the enjoyment and ecological health of the outdoors, now simply furthers insufficient controls on the use and proliferation of guns in our country. As such, it is impeding the will of the American people, the majority of whom wish to limit access to certain types of powerful automatic weapons that have no purpose other than to provide thrills and/or an enhanced capacity to kill. It is a powerful contributor to the uncontrolled violence that is plaguing our country while actually doing nothing for the hunting community. I have been a Cabela’s customer for many, many years, and have always appreciated its excellent products and service. But until Cabela’s divests itself from the NRA I will do no business with it and will recommend similar action by the many I know in the outdoors-community and also in my religious community. But I do hope that Cabela’s will “do the right thing” and serve as a model for responsible citizenship by changing its position with regard to the NRA. Rev. Peter S.

I am very disappointed in my recent contact with Cabelas. I was treated rudely by customer service and when my email was sent to the manager of the Triadelphia store, he and I exchanged several attempts to reach each other, but he was clearly bothered by my attempt to do something special for someone very special. I couldn't be more disappointed in everyone at Cabelas for their total lack of compassion. You are forgetting that it is everyday people like us that make it possible for you to have a job. Common courtesy isn't that common at Cabelas'

Thanks for what you do.

I don't know if this is the correct place to say, but Thank You for showing the new Government Medical Tax on your receipts. People need to they are being taxed. I do love your store.

The internet has it that Cabela's is in bed with the current administration concerning the current firearms ban as well as restricting ammo and reloading items to the public to enhance a obamacare deal for your employees. If I find a there's a modicum of truth to the previous statement, you can stand assured that I and those I know on FB will place Cabela's on a blackball boycott list that can and will go viral.

Thanks for wonderful experiences

I am a very avid outsdoorman along with my son. WE shop all the stores of this ilk, especially Bass Pro and Dunns in our area. I have to say that the majority of the time, if not looking for a firearm or ammo, we wind up making our purchases at Cabellas, as the experience is always wonderful. However we have made firearm purchases at the Cabellas in our area. Just depends. Thanks

Customer Service

recently i had the misfortute of calling your Rogers store, in MN. the phone was answered by Customer Service, my call was sent off, to somewhere in the store, for around 4 minutes then after many rings and no answer, it just hung up, so i went to Gander Mountain and got what i needed. Cabela one more lost sale. way to go

My last experience with Cabelas was extremely pleasant, I was treated as if I were the King of some country. Every experience that I have had with Cabela's has been very positive, not one instance can I remember as not being treated above the and beyond the call of duty. I had placed an order with a gal by the name of Luaryn R. at the Charleston, Wva store and either received the wrong size or ordered the wrong size. This girl was the most pleasureable person that I have dealt with in over 50 years, what a joy to know this type of person still exisists. They had no more of this item in their store but she checked other locations and is shipping it from their store located in the state of Maine. The item was bought on sale and she is giving the sale price and also paying the shipping charge for the new shipment and taken care of the shipping charge on the item I am sending back. Again, my experience with Cabela's has been tereific.

don't work here

Cabela's is a company that does not believe in providing a good work environment. It has a 20-80 full time to part time ratio in it's retail stores. They would rather hire five part time employees to a job one full timer could do. Once working for the company they fire you for your first mistake especially if it was your supervisors mistake in the first place. Good products, good service but the american version of a sweet shop.

I was just trying to place an order!

Yesterday, the Cabelas website would not accept my order when the item was on sale, the website froze up. However, when tried again today the website has miraculiously fixed itself and tried to charge me an additional $150.00 for the EXACT SAME ITEM!! Now that's really the way to treat your customers Cabelas, (if you never want to sell them anything ever again!)

Gift Card Policy

I was unhappy to find out that I cannot use gift cards to pay off/down a Cabela's account that I recently opened. I purchase with cash, gift cards to help my school. I have other card accounts that accept this method of payment and will continue to use them. With this policy, I will find it hard to drive the extra miles to purchase my sporting goods at Cabela's when I can go to a competitor that is closer and often cheaper in price. Too bad because I really liked the Cabela's experience.

I am very upset with your online customer service. I have asked multiple times to take me off your email advertising because it comes just about every day. I am being ignored. I have spent thousands of dollars with you over the past 20 years and I no longer plan to do business with you. Hopefully, Bass Pro has better customer service.

I received an add in the mail it had lacross boots on sale sale starts on 10/18/12 so i went to the website to find more info on them this was on 10/15/12 and their sold out that to me is deceptive advertising i guess they want me to drive the hundred miles to get to their store and so i dont feel it was a waste of time by boots that are more expensive

Ecoonmies are in dire straits, but I can count on this!

Why do I bother clialng up people when I can just read this!
