Reviews For 24 Hour Fitness Corporate Office

My friend and I go to the 24 hour fitness in Sunrise Florida. We have the most wonderful and caring instructor for the water aerobic class . Her name is Jenny and she deserves 10 stars. She gives us a great workout and we have so much fun in her class because of her enthusiasum. I have been to other water aerobic classes and no one compares to Jenny because she loves what she does and it transmits to us. Aquatic Bootcamp is the best.

The new Super Sport openned off Balboa Rd in San Diego. Not only are they charging new members $65 dollars a month they are trying to charge current members with all access memberships additional charges. The manager SIMON is the worst manager I have ever dealt with. My boyfriend broke his akilis tendin over the weekend. He literally crawled to the front desk (NO EMPLOYEE CAME TO ASSIST HIM) He asked for a cup of water and the front desk clerk said he would have to purchase one. When I called to complain the manager SIMON told me he was right next to the water fountain!!! What happen to customer service? If you are paying that much a month to go to that gym and they have no FIRST AID, ICE, ECT and their customer service is horrific what the hell are you paying for? To wait a hour to get on equiptment? I will never set foot in the gym again.

First Question - Does anybody at 24 have a business degree? Why you ask? Well, you close the Post Oak(Houston) location, which was once your flagship location, with at least a dozen spin classes a week. But, you add no additional spin classes to the surrounding clubs. All of which have spins classes that are already oversubscibed. Who decided not to add additional classes? Seriously, I've attempted to go to surrounding club spin classes 5 times and every time its been full. ADD FRIGGING CLASSES! You've got a club on Voss with a nice spin room, but offer 5 classes a week. Three of which are at 6 AM. Add nightly classes and at least 2 weekend classes. That would be a very easy way the relieve the pressure. The Galleria(Richmond Ave) classes were always full before you closed Post Oak, now its impossible. I arrive today at 9 for the 9:30 class, its full....crap, ok how about the 10:30? its full?, Really? Add an 8:30 class! or even 7:30 AM class. The damn club is packed. The Sunday class will be way over subscribed also. How about you add classes to your location on Westhiemer? You've known about the Post closing for a long time, why wasn't an expansion plan in place at the surrounding clubs to prepare for the closing? I simply do not understand why you do not add classes? All I can think is that you are cheap, unwilling to provide enough classes for your membership. I am seriously thinking about leaving, which is disappointing because I've been a member over 10 years. To top it all off, since I can't get into spin class, I try the rowing machine....it broken! That sucks, I will tell the manager to make him aware. Hello, front desk, where is the manager? There is not a manager here right now. Hahaha, how frigging perfect....

I currently attend a 24 hour fitness in Boynton Beach, Florida and I'm extremely displeased with the staff of that club. I was working out with my friend, or as they call it "training" my friend, and was stopped midway through our circuit by a personal trainer saying "you can't train here." Let me clarify, i was working out with my friend not training him nor getting any compensation from him, i was simply explaining the work out, motivating him, and waiting for him to finish so that i could start my set. A few unpleasant words were exchanged between he and I, and before i knew it, i was being kicked out of my gym and threatened to have the cops called on me for "trespassing." It's a great gym but the staff is very disrespectful to their members and are extremely superficial.

This review is for the Grossmont 24hr Fitnees in La Mesa,California. I can't begin to tell you how mis managed a club could be. It has gone through 4 to new managers in the past year. The staff is very rude and lazy. Not to mention the bathrroms in the upstairs area. I don't think it would pass inspection from the health department. I really don't think 24hr fitnees even cares about the members its all about the money. They have gone downhill! I have had alot of people join this new club called Crunch I understand its pretty nice.

Carmen 2/8/12
The club in Chula Vista at Broadway has the worst costumer service, specially talking about a person call Christina, she is really rude and arrogant! shame on her self!!! the club is also very filthy. And the Manager will not do anything about it!
TERRIBLE!!!

I need to make a note to the corporate headquarters for 24 hour fitness. I think you are going to lose members when they find out the Gold's Gym offers a free Kids club and your gym does not. I love 24 hour fitness but my husband and I like to bring our daughter with us. My friends and family members use Gold's Gym because their childcare is free, and their membership dues are cheaper. What gives?

I think I will be switching to Gold's Gym unless they plan to change this soon.

Over a year ago I signed up my family of four for a 24 hour fitness package. I was offered a deal to sign up my 2 sons and my husband in a special deal that would permit two people on each deal, saving us a total of about $ 40.00 per month. I personally signed up my family and have been paying for the membership with my own credit card. 24 Hour Fitness has no option to cancel a membership online, instead, there is a phone # to call with limited hours (M-F, 9-5) in which to reach them. I am 99% certain the call center is not in the USA. That said, when I was finally able to reach them (long wait on hold, so had to make a few attempts), I was told I could not cancel one membership because it was under my husband's name. As I am the one who opened the memberships and have been paying for them on my personal credit card (additionally, my husband NEVER used his membership), I was shocked to hear that I would not be allowed to cancel the membership without him personally calling in to do so. I argued the point that he not only didn't open, use or pay for his membership, but that as the ONLY person who was physically present and responsible for paying for the membership, I should be allowed to cancel memberships that I opened and have been paying for. I finally spoke with a supervisor (after attempting to solve the issue with two different phone reps) and after explaining to her the situation (after arguing the point), she gave me assurance that both memberships would be cancelled and gave me a reference #. I asked her specifically if it was all taken care of and got her assurance that I didn't need to do anything else. Now I am getting calls from another call center of 24 Hour Fitness CONSTANTLY. Most of the time when I answer the phone, no one is at the other end, except for a few minutes ago when I hung on the line and I was told that one of our family memberships was not cancelled. After telling them that I was told it was all handled, they insisted I was wrong. So, I asked to speak to another "supervisor" who told me the same thing. I am SO upset. What a scam. Beware- when it comes time to canceling your membership, expect to jump through flaming hoops.

1. Install Suggestion/Rating drop box so members can give suggestions and rating input.
2. “20 mins allowed on treadmill/stairsmaster during peak time” rule is not being observed. Staff should walk around and remind members of this rule during peak time. Create sign-up sheet in front of machine.
3. Pins for weight machines should be locked to machine. Too many pins are missing on weight machine.
4. Free weights/dumbells are all over the place and missing.
5. All Ab-bench should be bolted down to floor. People stack weight plates to bottom. Too many weight plates around it. Easy to trip over those plates (safety hazard)
6. Many treadmills/stairs master are broken over and over again after being fixed. Maybe time to replace with some new equipment.
7. Cleaning crews should wipe down all machines daily and remove graffiti. Health issue.
8. I’ve been a member here for over a year now and I have never seen anyone clean/scrub down the men’s showers. Mildew can be seen on ceiling of showers. Health issue.

There is 500 applications per 1 Job opening in Lancaster, Ca. Hopefully the 24 hour Fitness worker are aware of this, and Take care of their jobs. So many other people are waiting for a Job available. the gym id always dirty, spa Jacuzzi always dirty and the filters are filthy. Sauna filthy, towels every where. and as for the Steam Room, they say it is on a timer, well somebody is controlling it because is goes off when it gets very buy. This frustrates most of the members who come to the gym for Specifically for Hydro therapy in the Jacuzzi. the Attitude of the workers, they act like we are disturbing them, when we tell them that any thing is broken or not working.

Dear 24 hour Fitness,

I have been a member for 10 years at 24 hour fitness in Colorado Springs. Overall, it's been a good experience and I'm grateful. But one of the newer clubs on North Academy Blvd and Chapel Hills in the Springs has a problem about the image it leaves with customers, specifically, the basketball court.

For five months, five lights directly over one of the baskets remain out. It's dark. Not to mention dangerous. And, above all, it makes the 24 hour Fitness appear indifferent and careless about their image. Five months is a long time to not replace five lights. I don't blame the staff; they seem sympathetic about the problem. Any suggestions? I'm thinking of joining another gym in my town.

Derick 1/10/12
I workout at the 24hr fitness Sport in Oceanside, Ca. I have been a member there for about 6yrs now and I have seen a problem that has become progressively worse over time. The big draw for this particular center is the basketball gym and its the worst gym I have ever been in. The gym is initially flawed due to its design. There isn's one highschool, college, or pro gym in the world with ZERO windows or some type of air flow. This place has become a suana! The floor gets slippery after just and hour of playing due to the condensation with no air flow. Guys are falling all over the place and there have been many minor injuries over the past 3 weeks. I have reported this to the managers and nothing has changed so far. Their only way off attempting to fix the problem is closing the gym! Thats not fair to paying patrons that only attend this 24hr fitness because of the basketball gym. I personally know 40 members that come to play basketball and they will all leave if they aren't afforded the opportunity to play. I guess the only thing that will make the differance is when people start suing! There are all types of lawsuits waiting to happen!

Fred 1/6/12
24 hour fitness, is with out a doubt, the worst club I have ever belong to. Their front desk people are the meanest, rudest people I have ever met. I tell any body
that will listen, if you desire to work out in a club that is packed, extremly filthy, and you deal with rude and arrogrant employees, constant broken equipment, oh did I mention how disgustently filthy the clubs are? Lets not forget how helpful customer service is, dealing with them reminds of dealing wih Peggy in the credit card commerical. I tell everybody and any not to join 24hr. fitness. If you what a real eye opener check out ripoffreport.com or google lawsuits 24 Hour Fitness.

The good news Ballys Health club went under and soon there will be no more Blockbuster, keep doing what your doing 24 HOUR FITNESS!

I had signed up for the $599 package. Turns out I encountered a few unexpected bills so I immediately canceled my membership. The money took a while to be refunded to me. In the interim, I went online to check prices of a 1 year membership. I attempted to sign up for the $199 1 year membership but the 24 Hour Fitness web site continually advised me I had entered an invalid home address. I submitted my information using my fiance's home address, then tried again using my work address to no avail - each time the 24 Hour Fitness web site stated it was an invalid address. By the time I was able to reach member services, the rate had increased to $249. No one in member services was willing / able to grant me the $199 rate. On 3 separate occasions, I have asked 24 Hour Fitness member services to either: Refund my money for the 6 outstanding personal training sessions I have remaining, OR grant me the $199 rate so I can continue training. Time to get assistance from the Better Business Bureau!!

I have had a lifetime membership for my wife and I since 2005. The annual fee is $49 per person to renew. This year I received no bill for renewal and just called to check on the status of my account. Turns out they reverted our address in their computer system to an old address from 5 yrs ago and sent the annual bill to the wrong address. They are now assessing me fees/penalties for not paying on time. If anyone else out there has encountered this problem please post. If there are other instances of this happening we can argue that this is a common problem and possibly get an attorney to sue them. Thanks for taking the time to post if this has happened to you.

The 24hour fitness in Chino Hills California has poor response from other paying members. Most if not all the treadmills are slipping. Been hearing other members talking about how they almost fell and mentioned to the staff. This was about 4 months ago. 24 hour fitness staff never fixed anything. Been asking for the club manager Greg or Craig, but they said he's at lunch. And about 3.5hrs later he's still at lunch. The very next day at a different time I have ask for him, and they said he's at lunch. In about 5hrs later I showed up back at the gym and ask for the club manager and they again said he's at lunch. Wow what is going on at this 24Hr fitness in Chino Hill California? And to add more, the hygienes, housekeeping, and maintenance are not at club policies. How can I get a hold of Corporate? Thanks...

Why does some staff hate Itilians, and Jewish people, I've noticed blond women staff snickering at customers who are Itilians or Jewish. These employees are so full of racism why are they in a job where they do not want to be? Why do they put down the CEO of 24hour fitness?
Racism has closed many businesses with this economy being unstable, so why not re-train bad risk employees on customer service, and explain to the employees how they are getting paid in exchange for excellent customer service, and not bad service.

My husband paid his membership dues on October 24, 2011, 2 days ahead of the Oct. 26 due date, at the NRH, TX, 24 Hour Fitness club. We have the receipt showing payment. For over 2 weeks now, we have received daily, and usually twice a day, phone calls from your 1-888-900-3194, telling us he needs to pay for his membership. I called the 888 number a week ago and spoke with someone who said she would clear up the problem and put a "do no call" in the system. And we continued to receive calls. I called the NRH club on Friday the 4th, where he paid his dues, was told by a female manager that the problem was on their end, and she would fix it and put a "do not call" in the system. We continued to receive calls. Monday I went in to the club, with the receipt, talked with the same manager, who again said she would call and fix the problem. We got another call that night, and again this morning. So, today I called your 1-800 member services number, as well as Chuck, the NRH club manager, was told again they would fix the problem. Guess who just called?????? I guess my only recourse is to complain to the State Attorney General's office, the BBB, and the FTC Maybe SOMEONE out there can get this fixed!!!!!!!!!

and Management at 24hr, Down Town Sacramento
Re: Great Employee Representation

Sir, This writer has been attending 24hr Fitness facilities throughout the Continental United States for quite some time, and have been exposed to many of the organization’s employees. I know none personally, and neither has there been fraternization.
On behalf of many of the members who consistently uses the “wet area” at the facility location of 1020 7th Street, Sacramento ,this writer would like to thank you the Facilities Technician Haley James.
We have marveled at her working presence, and have often wondered among ourselves,
“How does she do it all by herself?”
Ms. James’ talent in foreseeing possible problems and thereby adding to the continuum of a pleasant experience is in itself relaxing.
In addition to having great interpersonal relation skills by listening to our selfish needs at times, we have never seen this employee of yours not being on the move in double-time.
We thank you for this no-nonsense expert in whom we’re pleased.

Respectfully…
Richard A. Wellington

Regarding "James" posting 2/8/11 I have had the identical experience. Member since 1997, never missed a payment and have not participated at a club since approx 2000. Heard of the McCarland Settlement and inquired with membership services thinking a member in good standing would warrant the opportunity to upgrade inspite of the expiration. It is disappointing that after these many years of subscription without attendance my request could not be accomodated. I believe I was on that list and for whatever reason the notification never made it my way. This is a wrong that needs to be made right!!!

Dominic Grano 10/4/11
I have gone through the same humiliating and harassing experience EVERY SINGLE YEAR of my membership since it became 24 Hour Fitness when it comes to my renewal payment. I have again also been locked out of my online account and tried resetting it through your so-called customer service with no luck. I am out of options and cannot renew my account which is due mid October of this year unless correction are made.

Years ago when you were Family Fitness, I signed a membership contract which included 5 other 'family' members at one flat rate of $96.00 a year. That was a great bargain back then. Then, within a couple of years, you became, 24 Hour Fitness, and my contract was 'grandfathered' in, so the terms stayed the same. However, shortly thereafter I began to experience renewal issues EVERY SINGLE YEAR which required me to write, call, and/or speak to foreigners who don't understand what I'm saying or are pretending they don’t. They are unhelpful and uncooperative as well.

Each year that I receive my billing in the mail, people are missing from my account. I'm guessing it's in hopes that I will give up the great deal I originally received and instead pay your newer expensive and elaborate prices for a new contract, or that I will get so frustrated that I will just give up my membership altogether. Each year it seems there is a new ‘scheme’ where I'm told that you accidentally cancelled memberships on my account and then make me jump through hoops in order to reinstate them, even though you have received and processed my full payment into your bank.

This year is no exception. All but 2 memberships were unilaterally cancelled, without my knowledge or consent, and I was billed for only myself and one other family member. I called once again, and spoke with someone named, Haley #T1533, whose supervisor she said was named Shawn, although I was never allowed to speak to him or her and she said no last names were allowed by company policy. I asked what happened to the rest of the money that I had paid last year, and she just said it will be applied to future payment for the 2 remaining memberships. I explained again as I have each year that that is an error on YOUR part and that that money should have renewed all memberships on my account. I’m not sure why this is such a difficult concept to grasp, given that the billing should remain the same each and every year. .

I have endured these same 'games' every year, in spite of the fact that each year I'm guaranteed that the problem has been completely resolved, and your representatives 'insist' that everything will be fine in the future. That's a lie! I have been refused any opportunity to speak to a supervisor or to be given any other contact names or phone numbers outside of this (non existent) customer service unit. It is disgusting how you treat long loyal customers like dirt. This so-called customer service rep then hung up on me. I am now left with no recourse, no options, no phone numbers, and no alternatives to appeal to a higher source. It's an outrage that 24 Hour Fitness has deteriorated to this.

The $96 I send in each year should be applied to my entire account and for all 5 memberships of my account per my contract agreement. I have 'never' requested any changes or other arrangements be made. The money I sent last Oct. 2010 should have been applied in this manner and as I was assured last year on the phone that it would be. All the ‘so-called’ customer service rep. needed to do was to correct YOUR error by reinstating the memberships YOU cancelled without reason or notice, and give me back access to my online account for future payments. No further burden should be placed on me for your errors. It’s very sad that the quality of your organization has diminished to this level and that your customer service is as I’ve described, is non-existent.

I have located many other similar ugly experiences online at websites other than your own while searching for this website. In summation, if satisfaction cannot reached in this matter prior to the expiration date of my membership, I will be forced to take further action/s outside your company's venue.

Even as I send this, I fear this complaint will be placed with the same unconcerned so-called customer service unit I spoke with on the phone who hung up on me.
-October 04, 2011.

Richard Banos 10/4/11
Liars, Crooks, Filthy Atmosphere. No customer service whatsoever. You're lucky if you find someone who speaks English, but even then, they probably won't understand what you're saying if you use big words. The staff at most clubs are rude to members. The non-existant customer service is ruder still. They will not respond to real complaints and give you no avenue to persue. If you write, they will not respond, if you call customer service and are lucky enough to get an English speaker who understand you, they will not help, nor will they allow you to speak with anyone else. If you call corporate headquarters, they will give you a patronizing speech and then tell you anything to get rid of you, before completely ignoring anything you told them. This is the worst run company on the planet.

The sad part is that it used to be a great place to relax and work out. I guess it's all about 'them' now and their corporate greed, and screw the customer.

Giegie 10/6/11
Since Zumba classes attract quite a number of mature adults 50 years and older, why not offer a time slot specifically for this age group? I come to Folsom gym in Sacramento and I always see about a third of older people that are regularly attending classes with the very young active people but cannot keep up with the pace. In fairness to everyone paying the same amount of dues every month, give them what is due them in return.

Deadra 9/27/11
I'm a 24 hour member in Round Rock, TX and enjoy taking the group x classes. The only problem I have is the two Zumba classes back to back. Why is this? Would you have two Body Pump or two spin back to back. I will answer that question "NO".

Jason 8/24/11
Well i guess our little club in Hillsboro or finally gets a new exterior paint job! Yeah too bad they're spraying at "prime time" on a Tuesday, as you enter the front door the smell really works. Maybe once they get the outside looking all spiffy they will, oh i don't know-work on the inside. You know little things like bars, since u kinda need em. Perhaps machines from the 00's. Maybe some pre-cors that actually have the handles in tact, kinda crazy bout that whole bacteria thing. Well I shouldnt complain too much our pool does have water and the employes for most part are in fact nice, but does seem like corporate just doesn't give a flyin-Frick if you happen to go to a club in let's say less than well to do area. Oh yeah seems all damn clubs around us are either brand new or recently updated or new. Guess I could travel, but why? Hell I'll just shut my mouth and be great full the lights are on! Sincerely yours Jason!

PERSONAL COMPLAINT: AMATURE TRAINERS AND STAFF PERSUEING /LOBBYING THEIR AMATURE SERVICES TO PAYING MEMBERS: I have been an active member for 16 years now. These "trainers" follow me into the locker room ,the lavoratory, and blatently attemt to sell me their services, while interupting my workout. Between 2 locations,I have ,in an assertive fashion asked nicely to have this discontinued. The personal training manager has been rude and insensative to my request(s).I have now asked 3 times, but they continue to attemt to sell me their services while I am on the floor working out.I will persue this.I have also been subject in years past to a double billing scam to my Credit Card, and I am tired of being the victum to this system.MEMBER'S BEWARE!!

This morning I was @ the 24 Fitness I went to my vehicle and another member ask me if this was my car ? I said yes and when I saw the car my driver side window
was shattered. I then open my trunk to get my purse to call the police and it was
gone. I went into Upland 24 Fitness on Foothill Blvd to speak with the staff they
did not even offer to call the police. She filled out a form and I requested to
speak with the Manager, she said he does not get involved with those matters.
I was shocked @ her answer. I waited about 45mins for the police to show up and during the whole time I was out there about 1 hour 45mins. NO ONE from 24 Fitness
came out to see what happen. The officer stated that this has happened several times and 24 Fitness does not care!!!
24 Fitness has no idea what is "Customer Service" and I need to find a new gym immediately!!! 24 Fitness your company makes me sick!!!

MEYERLAND, HOUSTON TEXAS - gym has completely deteriorated complaints have been filed but they do not seem to want to improve conditions there. Manager does nothing -- this is a heavily used gym... in 100degree weather the a/c was not working in the gym and there was no notice put up about it and members were lied to when ask about the heat in gym most equipment not working some have signs some do not club needs to be completely remodeled or new one built it's really a poor reflection for 24 hr - also corporate needs to be aware how many people are being allowed in this gym with no membership HELP!!!

My husband and I have been going to the Jones Road and 1960 24 Hour Fitness gym for two years. During that time, we have seen it go down hill in quality. The picture slide show on their site shows a clean hot tub with clearly marked lettering on the inside of the tub. What we have endured for the last two years is mold on the concrete at the edge of the tub, undistinguishable lettering inside the tub, frequent cloudiness of the water, and the water is tepid in temperature at best. One day it is hot the next it is room temperature. I am tired of going to relax and getting a nasty experience. We also go to the pool often. The water this summer is freezing. I love cold water, but this water is so cold that I have to hold my arms close to my body instead of exercising them just to be able to manage staying in the pool. I mean the whole time! I only get to work my legs! My husband and I pay over sixty dollars a month to be tortured. I bet you would never tolerate this type of neglect in a gym you use often. I cannot tolerate it, either.
Also, the workers never come in to check on the pool, hot tub, steam room or dry sauna while we are there. It would be so easy to put some chlorine bleach on the mold around the hot tub and scrub it clean, listen and respond to the concerns of the paying gym users and actually warm the pool up so it is usable. We have been told they keep it that cold for people training for the Olympics. Excuse me , but the majority of people who use the pool are elderly and use it for therapy. They used to have a pool aerobics class, but canceled it.
Frankly, I am tired of getting into a freezing cold swimming pool, a filthy cold hot tub and getting no results when I complain to the person on duty. I am not given the managers number when I ask for it and I am frustrated because this gym is very close to my home and I used to love going in the beginning when the maintenance was kept up. The only positive thing is that the shower water is hot and I was able to wash off the slime from the hot tub....yes, I said and meant slime!
If I do not get a positive response to this letter and receive a change in services, I will be forced to contact the Board of Health. It is a health hazard, and not safe. Several of my friends have also complained numerous times and gotten no response.
Eagerly awaiting your reply,
Suzanne R.Pierce (Williams)

I have made several complaints about the Upland, CA Facility about their T'V's not working and they still have not fixed the problem and apparently do not care about their customers. I purchased a three year membership and very unhappy with the local Facilities and Corporate does not bother to even respond! I would never recommend this Gym to anyone and been trying to get a refund for my Membership and after several letters, emails and calls still no replies to anything. If anyone is reading this and thinking of joining I would say to go to another Gym NOT 24 Hour Fitness!

Debra 7/17/11
The 24 hour fitness in Frisco Texas (Preston Road) is horrible.

Very poor ventilation in the upstairs cardio area. Two fans and that's it. West windows make it very hot in the Texas summers. It just heats up the area. In addition, they only have two fans for the entire upstairs.

Half of the cardio equipment doesn't work properly. 80% of the fans on the equipment do not work. In addition, there is always a TV that is out.

There are not enough hand sanitizers in the facility. The equipment is filthy. I have yet to see anyone clean equipment. The dust is an inch thick on the ceiling and you can see it in places that are never used. Nasty.

I am seriously considering switching facilities. I really hate this place.

I broke my ankle three weeks ago while working with a trainer on a bosu ball. Corporate has not called even after I have left numerous emails explaining the injury. What kind of gym is this? Broomfield Colorado

I have belonged to 24 hr. fitness club for several years now. I work out mostly at the gym in Apple Valley in Victorville Ca. I went there this morning (8-2-2011) to work out and I brought a friend who was looking for a gym to join to start working out. She filled out a form at the desk and a "councelor" named Adam was taking us back to his desk. He asked her for her I.D. I told him I had told her not to bring anything because she was my guest and I had I.D. and was a member. I told him I would get my picture I.D. He said that was would not help, she had to have I.D. It was a long way back home so I said "Well, I have been a member for a long time, maybe I will just cancel my membership." Adam immediately became infuriated and said "YOu want to cancel your membership? Alright, come on let's cancel it right now! Come on Let's cancel your membership!" I told my friend, "let's go, this guy is scary." We left. Someone like that with a hair trigger of a temper I don't believe should be trying to help the public. They are the kind that would just pull out a gun and shoot you like happens so much in society. My friend said, "Well, I don't want to join that gym with employees like that." And I do want to cancel my membership now, there are many other gyms around. Elizabeth McGulpin

Does anyone at 24hour Fitness Headquarters actually READ or ever RESPOND to any of these posts? Is this page just for members to vent and then be ignored?
I have communicated with my local gym, and with the new "survey' site, both of which have no interest in responding to, or dealing with any issues.

R Okeefe 6/22/11
"The Carrollton, Texas gym on Trinity mills and Frankford is the worst in all DFW area, they have bad customer service, the front desk manager sits there and gossips with the other front desk employees as soon as any members walk through and check in. " this sums up the exact attitude of the management of this large local gym.
There is ZERO response to customer service issues.

i've been going to the mall 205 location in portland oregon for 3 years and even tho Rusty the manager and staff are great, the facilities are really shabby, a few of the machines are in fact broken, showers are dirty and tonite i just came from there and there was no soap in 4 of the showers and the other 2 soap dispensers were broken. on top of that the spa was broken. asked so many times when the remodel will occur and all i get is "soon'. Last few days there's been a police car in the lot as there was a locker breakin on 17th june so things are not good at all at the moment . Just wish that corporate would get their act together and start to remodel the place .

LA Fitness managers premote Sexual harrasement to patrons. You call to talk to a manager and are told that NO managers are ever available... Not a good thing. I do not pay for a membership for any of my family members to be sexually harrased if I wanted that I would frequent a construction sight in a bikini bathing suit.

Hi Branden, Friendswood/Parkwood Location
I regret to inform you that I have canceled my gym membership within my 3 day right to rescind. We spoke about my son helping me out with my first workout. You explained that he would get a pass to be able to do that with me. Turns out my son has a life time membership with 24 Hour Fitness so that wasn't necessary.
My son, my sister and myself entered into the gym and did 1 exercise and were summoned to speak with Freddy as he signaled with his index finger for us to come to him at the front desk. His demeanor was matter of fact, and informed us that my son was not to assist in training us because he's got 12-15 personal trainers that he must look out for during this economy. He explained that we could all workout together (do a few reps with us) but my son was not to train us. That's a fine line and certainly not justified in loosing a customer and future personal training sessions.

As I recall our conversation consisted of the following:
The necessity for him to help me on Saturday was due to my workout schedule will begin at 4:00 a.m. during the week.
The fact that I would get a personal trainer but after a 2-3 week period to get my body used to working out.
I'm 44 year old woman and don't care to share my health concerns with anyone I don't know or trust like I do my son.
This was a one time show and tell for my son, which I made clear to you that I needed before I signed up for my membership.
This request was agreeable to you so I did sign up.
The fact that I called on Tuesday to set up an appointment for Thursday with no mention that the $29.99 monthly dues expired on Wednesday and was not informed so I had to pay the $34.99 dues. Had I known they expired Wednesday I would have set my appointment on Wednesday. I explained to you at that time that we were already getting off to a bad start. You responded with this question, "You had a bad experience somewhere didn't you?" We discussed why I had not joined a gym and my terrible experience with 24 Hour Fitness 10 years ago. You continued to explain how you had been with the company for 11 years, how the policies that were in effect at that time were not good for business and how the company addressed those issues and made appropriate changes. I agreed to the $34.99 because you told me that I could reduce my rate when another special came up because policy was to match.

This could have all been avoided if staff members would not have jumped to a conclusions. That fine line about just workout with her at the same time, is nothing but appearance sake. And for who? The personal trainers? Here would have been a great time to practice the old motto: You can get more bees with honey than you can vinegar! Strike up a conversation. Find out what the situation is, become helpful and inviting, give us a card. For crying out loud this would've been my 1st free session anyway. Being friendly never cost a dime. This was pointless! Awareness, intellegence is key in any sales situation. What an opportunity lost! A loss no one else feels more than I. No one even appeared in the slightest to be helpful, much less friendly.

This is my second horrid experience with this company. You had 3 customers upset and walk out the door today. I will not take this lightly and plan to forward this letter to your District and Corporate offices on Monday. This was pointlessly shameful.

This was something I was really looking forward to!

Teresa

I work out in The Woodlands Tx. and like many of these people I have the same problem. The trainors steal wieghts and put them in there area. When working out on a machine if you get up they will sit on it or just lay there stuff on it. Most of the trainors are over wieght and really don't care about anyone. I was wondering why I am paying almost $70 for me and my girl friend just so that we can be treated like trash. This gym used to be excellent before the managers were switched around. The previous manager was not a trainor amd made the trainors actually do stuff. Now that the manager is a trainor no one cleans the bathrooms! I remember using the bathroom and aeeing a bloody booger on the wall for 8 days! I mean come on I pay for a nice gym and I get a piece of crap! I seriously doubt anyone in the corporate office gives a crap I mean look at all these poor comments. If they are doing something then help the gym on lake woodlands!

Julie Powers 6/6/11
I will be closing my membership today due to the very intrusive fingerprint check in scan!!! This is not a FBI building.... it is a gym and you have no right to scan my prints!

lissie 5/17/11
I can't believe that 24 hour fitness is one of the best gym and it has really bad employees and managers. All you supervisors and managers see what is going on in your clubs.

Adriana 5/17/11
After a long day, the one thing I like to do, when I finally get a chance, is sweat a bit to relax. Sadly the 24 hour fitness in Allen, Texas has a very rude zumba instructor by the name Marcel. As a teacher I get asked a million questions by my students daily. When a question is asked, a simple answer or a respectful conversation should be normal. This instructor has a very rude way of answering any question. I don’t know if this has happened to me because I’m Hispanic and maybe she is a bit racist, or if she is this way with other members, but instead of having a great workout I went into a lion’s dean where relaxation was but a far away dream. I still have hope for that gym since every other staff member has been courteous and very nice. This instructor Marcel does gives the gym bad name!!!

ARTIE KERN 4/28/11
I have been a memeber for 9 years. The Scottsdale location is very nice. The Gym equipment needs to be updated!!
The Trainers here are exceptional..especially My Trainer Mallory Fox.She is the TOP Trainer and has tremendously help me and others.I wear BodyBugg and love it.Some of your management employees are not fitness people and should not attempt to sell what they don't know..especially when looking at them..where is the inspiration!!
FIT PEOPLE need to work and SELL Training and good health!!!!!

David 4/22/11
There is a trainer called Pete. An ex military guy thinks who is management and enforces the law on himself.. This guy needs to go and because of him a lot of people have left 24 hr gym.. He makes life a living hell .. This guy needs to go... Coporate office should not higher a trainer who becomes management and takes on the positon of more responsibilites. You have other staff for that..

The 24 fitness at Irvine Marketplace Super sport club 884 how the rudest sales manager I'v ever seen in my life, he took his name tag off the second I complained, I believe his name is Drew, the club was great, insanely nice, women beautiful, but the guy there that is the sales manager needs to be fired, I have never seen a corporate professional talk to potential customers like they are dog shit, a guy so sarcastic, with defensive body language, trying to put people down like that, it is a joke to have a person like that working at a company like 24, its people like that that gives 24 fitness a bad name, what a great club turned into dirt by one guy, its laughable

Do you people really give a shit about members? Obviously not! You have managed to cancel spin weekend classes for the Broadmore 24 hour fitness in Colorado Springs CO. I am so fed up with this. I hope you close this facility so Gold's Gym will take it over and treat customers like they care

Depressed 4/1/11
The decision has been made to cancel the Saturday morning water aerobics class at the Arnold, MO location. We were told by the manager Jason that he was the only one we should complain to since all complaints would end up with him anyway. Since we started complaining we are now hearing that the Wednesday everning class is also being cancelled. This doesn't seem right or fair. Does it?

sarah 3/28/11
I am from colorado spring co and HATE This gym. I signed up and being new to all of this went with a personal trainer-whom I love. When I signed up for the trainer like most I did installments. At first things were great then I got sick and needed to move my first installment now comes the problems. So they told me one date but pulled the money early-10 days early. I was refundedbut only after talking to the fitness manager getting nothing then speaking to the site manager. Being told all future installments canceled I thought I was in the clear. Nope ten days after being told everything canceled another payment comes out leaving me yet again in the negative with NSF charges. Whoo hoo love it! Called spoke to another manager who says nothing was pulled then eats crow when actually looks at my account but will not refund the NSF fees for the withdrawal or the NSF fees to come while waiting for the refund- up to 15 business days. BEWARE! The facilities are dirty, employees rude and they are unhelpful. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Frank Little 3/25/11
I would like to complain about the music being played at your 24 Fitness Store, located at 7905 Walerga Road, Antelope, CA 95843. They were playing Rap music between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM with lyrics about drugs, sex, and killing people. It was offense to me and I complained to the manager in charge. She said that that kind of music was people requested. I don't think so, because this was the first time I have ever heard Rap music in this store. With children coming and going to the children care center I do not this is appropriate for them and like I said it was offense to me. Could you please check into this situation and please no longer play music to exercise by that has lyrics like what was played. Frank Little - FrankLittle2003@Yahoo.Com - (916)764-0397

Is it legal to ask for your fingerprint each time you go to the gym? I thin 3/27/11
Is it legal to ask for your fingerprint each time you go to the gym? I think it is an invasion of privacy. I am having a lawyer check into this as I will not submit myself to giving my fingerprint for identification when I have a membership card that they can scan.

Julie 3/18/11
I've been a member for over 20 years. I was advised of the class action lawsuit but opted out. I paid for access to all gyms, then they built a new gym and moved us all there but they made it a one gym only membership without refunding me. Only the lawyers won in the class action because the remedy was that I get to pay an additional $5 a month for what I had already paid for so I sent in the opt out option. Now we are being rudely assaulted each visit with the news we have to give our fingerprint. First the warning was we would just have to stand in line and wait. OK. Then it was they wanted our phone number. OK. This week it was my birthdate and bring in your driver's license. No good morning, have an enjoyable visit, just give me your birthdate. When I said I wasn't giving personal information (good grief, they have it obviously) she loudly called out my birthdate for the entire lobby to hear. Each visit they are making up some new punishment for noncompliant members. I asked if they were supplying a secure place to keep a license if it was now a requirement because they aggressively tell members not to bring in items of value but of course they won't. A CA supreme court decision ruled that businesses can't even ask for zip codes. How they are getting away with this is beyond me. We have other gyms in the area. I'm giving them a visit.

It's sad when a Health Club, doesn't look at the total cleanliness of its facility. I belong to 24 Hour Fitness in Austin, Texas, and I have complained to the manager twice about the fact that there are not enough cleaning stations, they don't enforce the rule about a workout towel, they don't enforce any cleaning habits, consequently people workout, sweat all over a machine and walk away, leaving those of us who care about our health to clean the machine before and after you use it. I also have concern about the spread of germs at the new fingerprint check in, the platen on the device is never cleaned, and there is no alcohol nearby to clean it before you use it, on top of this, it takes so many attempts before it recognizes my fingerprint, that I could have signed a book, or they could have supplied magnetic cards that you swipe instead of this filthy form of check in. I have complained that people workout in the group workout room without towels, as well and they don't seem to clean off the mats once they've used them. I've complained that there is always water all over the mens restroom area, and that faucets are loose, it does not good. I've checked with the State of Texas Department of Health, and sadly they claim they do not regulate "gyms" and neither does the County Health Department, which is why they can get away with this behavior, no one regulates them. I was told the only option in Texas is to go the Secretary of State, where they must get a license number and try and get a refund. I have spent a good part of my life in gyms and working out, and sadly everytime I walk into my 24 Hour Fitness club, I am sickened by what I see. I don't even know if this is going to help, or if the Corporation reads this listing, because I even sent a letter to the Customer Relations Department at Corporate, and guess what? No answer.

Chris Pitchford 3/6/11
If you can find how to touch base with the Corporate PR person(s) you're a better person than I.

Ocean Ranch 24hr club is clean and from my perspective is well run, offering a variety of exercise possibilities.

Today after 4 yrs of going there 2-3x/wk. I experienced a filthy, smelly pool which is not the standard I'm use to and highly unusual with potentially a unwanted health hazard. Is 24hr liable when offering a pool for swimming and possibly harboring a pool environment that could expose swimmers to infectious organisms?
I let the staff know of this situation and now I'm letting the Corporate folks know as well. I'm certain at least at this facility there is good quality control, but not in this instance.

I purchased a $99 gift card. It is advertised on 24 Hour Fitness web. The information on the web states Good for 90 day one club sport membership. It does not say "toward a membership". The 24 Hour Fitness in Fairfield, CA would not honor the card. They said it was good for products only or $30.00 could be applied to purchasing a membership. It goes not make an sense, and that was from the manager. That is false adverting. It is apparent why some of the managers lack customer service skills, because the corporate office does not care (from the other complaints). Excellant/poor customer service starts from the top and rolls down hill.

G Dubash 2/28/11
I and my family have been with 24hr fitness in La Mirada on Beach Blvd right from the time of inception of that club ie almost 10 years. Just recently I learnt that my friend got her annual membership renewed for $ 84. Whereas for my annual membership has been $ 149. I requested the corporate staff who referred me to the club manager, Mike to look into this matter, but in vain. Firstly he did not bother to return my calls (3) on top of it he mentioned that he does not negotiate. I was not asking him to negotiate but to just be fair with the customers who have a long standing. I mean a customer who is a 24hr fitness member for 10 years should be given some preference against a customer who has been a member for only 2 years. It went other way round. Also their attitude and tone of talking to customers is very rude. Well he has definately lost my family membership.
With this attitude they will definately lose good customers. I hope the corporate office looks into this personally. Dated 2/27/11

Facility @City of Industry is horrible - Jacuzzi is always "out of service" !!women's locker room is dirty, showers are clogged.. Dry sauna & steam room are dirty!! It's horrible and considering it is a new facility!!

BOBBY BROWN 2/10/11
Love 24 hour fitness. All the clubs carry the equipment I need to get the best workout possible. Why is it that u fat people always have time to complain about life and what's wrong with it. If u took half the time you put into your blog as you do in your workout you would live a happier life. And the rates of membership you should look into it yourself. Take some responsibility and look it up yourself they have. This new search engine called the internet google it for Christ sake. Stop whining about lost money u probably spent more on fast food in the past 6 months then u did on the gym. Remember push ups and ur crunchs and that bitter is the secret to life

James Davis 2/8/11
Been a member since forever and I was a part of a class action lawsuit against 24 hour fitness. The creation of "Sport" facilities was designed to segregate members like me. Members paying $5 a month because I had the foresight to sign up so long ago. The lawsuit forced them to allow access and once the case settled, they supposedly sent out letters for those of us involved to bring in to redeem. I never got one. It never arrived. I called in today and they now say, "Sorry, it expired". How convenient. The judgment was that it was a wrong practice for what 24hr Fitness was doing. There's no time limit on this. It's still wrong and I still have not received my "form". Now they will not honor the ruling with me. It's wrong and a few key strokes could fix this, but they won't do it. Sad to loyal members like myself being handled like this over a technicality.

JESSICA 2/8/11
The Carrollton, Texas gym on Trinity mills and Frankford is the worst in all DFW area, they have bad customer service, the front desk manager sits there and gossips with the other front desk employees as soon as any members walk through and check in. This front desk managers name is Malorie, she has the worst attitude especially with the females, she is quick with the men, her attitude stinks and don't understand why she has the position she has. Walks around the gym like she owns the place or is probably sleeping with the gym manager, they are always so chummy. This Malorie girl has had many people complain about her yet she is still there, why???!!!!!!! Customer service is the worst as soon as you walk in the door you feel the negative tension at this gym!!!!!

First of all, I have been a member of 24 fitness for over 5 years and enjoy working out daily as it has become a routine. I love interacting and treat others around me with utmost respect. I upgraded my account about 7 months ago because I loved 24 Sport fitness in Vista, California. The staff there, run by Jessie treats members like family and keep the gym in tip top shape. Other workers who are greatly appreciated are David Sapp, Brie H, Robin M, Tyler Delbert and Chris who make every experience well received.

However, this is a complaint letter to 24 fitness San Marcos, as I recently had a bad communicative experience with an employee there named Mike. As a communications grad student at CSUSM and CSUS, I have extensive knowledge of communication and find that this employee exhibited none what so ever. As being a member for over 5 years and recently obtained a 7 day free pass, and wanted to spend time with my father. I explained that my dad was probably not going to sign up, but I wanted to enjoy a day with him at the gym. This counselor was called to the front desk, did not even smile, but rather grinned and approached with a negative attitude looking down on me as if I was some kid and not his equal. He then told me to let me do his job after I told him the situation. After he waltzed away with his shoulders and chest sticking out like some bully in high school the other front desk woman apologized for his actions! This moment was ruined as I even told my father not to even bother coming to the gym.

I have belonged to the Coral Springs, Florida gym since before it became a 24 hour fitness several years ago. In that time I have seen the gym's quality decline in every respect. Machines are broken, the gym isn't cleaned, the bathrooms are filthy, there are holes in the walls, there's broken glass on the walls, carpet is coming off the floors and walls. The place just gets worse and worse.

Lana Djenfer 1/17/11
I am a member at the 24 hour in the Woodlands on Lake Woodlands Dr. I pay my dues every month, and It is getting a little tiresome, that either the pool is cloudy, too cold to get in, the locker rooms are dirty, and that includes the showers and the bathrooms, or the pool when we do get in is too crowded to do our workouts. There is a need for another class.

I’m writing this letter to file discrimination compliant.
I was at the 24H Fitness in 500 N. Atlantic Blvd. Suite A-102-1 Monterey Park, CA. 91754. On Jan. 18, 2011 roughly around 8 pm, I was approached by Andrea Owitz/Trainer. She told me that gym bags are not allow on the floors and should be placed in the lockers during workouts. I did have short dialogue with her regarding the matter; however I respectfully did as I was told and placed my gym bag in the locker. I did mention that hopefully this rule was enforced to everyone and not just to me. She agreed, I told her that if I saw anyone with a bag on the floor that night that I will approach her and she mentioned that she will enforce the rule. Five minutes later I saw an Asian male in gym with a gym bag such as myself. I approached Andrea with news and nothing happen. I went to front desk and explain the situation and one of girls mentioned that they will address the issue. Which they did, however 5 minutes later I saw a Caucasian male with a gym bag on the floor. I approach the front desk and asked for a manager this time. I got Mike Garay and again explain the situation and according to him he was going to take care of the situation. I was in the gym for 30-40 minutes and no 24HR Fitness member approached the Caucasian male with the gym bag. This is pure discrimination. So looks like Asian are not allow to have a gym bag in the gym and Caucasian can. There was plenty of witness as well. Please explain to me if this is standard operation procedure for 24HR Fitness. If this is the case I will gladly give up my membership. I been with the Army for 4 years and serve my country proudly and never once got discriminated during my active service. I’m a citizen of the Unite States for 20 years now and I expect to be treated equally and impartial. I’ve been a member with LA Fitness for 8 years before I switch to 24HR Fitness and I never got discriminated at LA Fitness. I want 24H Fitness to address this issue ASAP. My next complaint will be with the “Better Business Bureau”

They suck ,got a five day pass and when it ended they told me i could go for two more days no worries, went in on 6th day and they asked me if i was ready to sign up and i said yes, can you guys match Costco price of $300.00 dollars for 2 years and they said no and i said ok ill go through Costco then, they then told me i could no longer use the gym cause my pass was not good anymore, i said you guys told me i could use it for 2 more days what up with that, all they said was sorry u cant work out here.so basically since i was going through Costco and not one of their sales people they were punks with me.Guess ill be going to Ballys

roberta 1/14/11
As a charter member, I must say that the West Hollywood Club is handled by people who care not. Not only have they taken away our teachers that we follow, but have axed our classes as well.
Spinning classes in the morning before work?
No, they put them at 9:30 am.

Great management...
Weekend classes requested to be re-instated as the club reopens?
NO!

We all have waited 3 months patiently and are once again tossed out without consideration. You have got to be kidding.
This club is absurd. Most clubs listen to their PAID membership/

Bob Miner 1/7/11
I thought it might be helpful to point out how bad the management is at the Temecula facility, but after reading all the above comments about other facilities it seems clear that this is a corporate-wide problem and apparently any such observations will fall on deaf ears. Consequently I guess it would make more sense to spend my time on more productive endeavors. When I told the Temecula manager that I was going to lodge a complaint against him he just laughed and said "it won't do any good; they'll just forward it to me." I see now how he is probably right and the corporation is so big they simply don't care.

Horrible! The jacuzzi spa facility in Chino Hills location (4200 Chino Hills Parkway, Suite 780 Chino Hills, CA 91709 ) has been broken over 2 months. Some of the employee told me that the manager / owner does not any plan to fix it. If it is true, this will be a worst gym.

I was one of the first people to join the new gym on McLoughlin in Portland. My first member # was JD23262. I joined in late August of 2009. They put me on the monthly dues payment program without telling me of other options. So I was paying $49/month for over a year before another member told me they paid $300 cash for their membership. So I paid $600 or more for the same membership and none of the employees told me I could get a membership for half that price. I spoke to the manager about it and he told me from Dec. 15 I could do the cash membership. At the end of November I went to the gym one evening and was told by the person at the counter that my membership was canceled and I was not allowed in. Besides the fact that this person was extremely rude, even threatening to call the police if I didn't leave, he had no idea that yellow on the computer meant that the membership was still in effect or that the manager and I had spoken and I was good to go until Dec. 15. I spoke to the manager again after that and confirmed that I had a valid membership until Dec. 15 (for which I had already paid). I also told the manager about the rude employee and was told that he was a new hire; but in fact, he had been there for at least a year. In addition, there was no apology at all for the treatment I had received. I was told that the employee acted that way toward everyone. Is that the kind of customer service you want to be known for? The next day I was given another excuse, that the employee hadn't known that my membership was still good. This is just bad training. He should have spoken to his manager first and gotten the correct information instead of threatening to call the police. I paid cash for my new membership on Dec. 22 only to find out that it was now $399. The manager didn't even attempt to try to correct the situation. He said I had two choices: either pay the $399 or go to another gym. I realize you have thousands of members, so losing one member doesn't affect your business, but is that the kind of business you want to run? Without having been given the option of the $300 membership and paying $399 for a new membership, I've paid $1000 for a little over a year. As you can imagine, I'm not happy. I would think 24-Hour Fitness could at the very least give me my new membership for the old dues of $300, as well as refund part of the money I paid in excess when I had no idea there was a much cheaper 1-year cash option, not to mention being treated like a criminal at the front desk. I had been looking forward to joining the gym when I found out it was being built and when I joined, I enjoyed going not only to work out but to relax. Because of the treatment I received regarding both the membership dues and the attitude of the employee at the front desk and the manager, I don't enjoy going as much as I used to, even though I renewed my membership. You need to take a hard look at your employee training methods and do right by the people who are keeping you in business.

24 hour fitness club has a new cardless check in system that is abusive, intrusive & outright illegal. It is an invasion on your privacy. We all need to unite & defeat the over reach by them.

They can provide us the card with photo ID and the address & with the member no. No other private institutions require these type of ID.

I workout in the La Mesa 24 Hout Sport fittness, Grossmont Center, about three times a week. The staff arn't very customer oriented. I've asked many mornings that just one of the TV's be set to a the Fox news channel while I was on the tread mill. Most the time the reply to my request is "remote is in the managers office" This morning I asked the same and the attendant said she would try to. The manager was there, but the channel was never change in the forty-five minutes I was on the mill. I did watch the Direct TV's test pattern for 35 minutes and then some sports program came on.
I asked the lady at the counter if she asked the manger to change the channel and she replyed that Jennifer was to busy and she would get to it later. (they thought I would treadmill all day)I asked to see he and she came right out after a eight(8) minute waits on my part.(she jumps right on a customer problem)I asked this manager (Jenifer)why she had ot changed the channel and she gave all so busy excusses. My assesment was they just don't care about the customer requests no matter how small. She also told me their requirment is they only have to have a news channel playing, and CCN was on, requirment fulfilled. Great, my guess is, they don't need the bussiness.

24 HR Fitness, 4200 Chino Hills Parkway, Suite 780 Chino Hills, CA 91709 phone# (909)393-0724. I have been a member for approximately 20 years. I have been to many of your gyms. This one in my home town of Chino Hills is the worst! I had a total hip replacement in April 2010. I have been going to this gym for about 2 or 3 years. I specifically use the pool and spa to rehabilitate my hip. Because of hard work and determination, I was able to return to work July 1st. For the past 3 weeks the spa at the Chino Hills facility has not been operating properly. I have repeatedly asked the front desk when it was going to get fixed and I was told we are working on it. The first week, the spa was not working properly for 7 days. Two weeks later I spoke to the manager on duty for approximately half an hour. I also let him know the some of the showers had poor water pressure and not spraying properly. He said we are working on it, but after three weeks the condition has not improved. I have been an employee for The So. CA Gas Company for the past 25 years in Customer Service and take take pride in my work to provide excellent Customer Service. Someone needs to visit this gym to see what I am talking about as it would appear they do not take pride in this facility. I need the spa to be repaired as it is important part of my workouts to continue to strengthen the area post-surgery. My membership dues are paid on time but I don't feel I am receiving all this gym has to offer as not all of the equipment is fully operational. Could someone please have this facility checked out and have these matters rectified

I want to commend employee, front desk rep. Donovan Smith at the Costa Mesa 24 hour fitness Club 121 for the great job he has been doing. He is an active worker and handles the public with pleasant demeanor. Whenever he sees someone who needs help, I noticed he is there for the clients. Donovan Smith is definitely an asset for 24 Hr Fitness corporation.

I belong to the gym in Altadena ca. It is close to the house which is the only reason I belong. The management is a weak support for our community. I have attempted to talk to them about various problems in this gym. They blame our community. They do not make sure members bring towels. They do not educate new members about time limits on machines. Resulting in various issues amongst the members. If upon an enrollment they let the members know these things it would be a much smoother workout for everyone.posting signs would also be helpful. The gym is dirty most of the time. These are very simple issues to address.
I own a salon here in town, it has on more than one occasion been the topic of discussion in my workplace. It was also discussed on our Altadena blog. Your company is missing out on a lot of business, due to these ongoing discussions.
Another member and I today talked about contacting main office in order to see if that can get us any results.
I have visited the gym in Carlsbad, it was a clean and well run gym. We obviously need a management team like that. We don't really need excuses. It is extremely obvious to many of us what the real problems of this gym are. Not that difficult to correct. There are a lot of very good people in this community. You're missing the boat.

I assumed that Mark Mastroy is still CEO of 24 Hour Fitness. How can I write him directly regarding a grievance I have with one of his branches in the San Francisco bay area?

I am 73 years old and go to 24 Hour Fitness daily - now that I am retired, it is my social as well as my 2 hour exercise hour.

I love "mixing it up" with the youngsters and find that we have much in common - the fact that working out at 24 Hour Fitness is not only physically beneficial, but even more important, mentally beneficial for young and old alike.

I do have one grievance with the way my branch is being run, and I would like to write Mr. Mastroy directly on it. As I said, I am retired, 73 years old - a former banker, very well educated (Andover, Wesleyan, Harvard B School), and I think my letter directly to him is something he would find beneficial in improving the 24 Hour Fitness operation overall.

Thank you,

Is it legal to ask for your fingerprint each time you go to the gym? I think it is an invasion of privacy. I am having a lawyer check into this as I will not submit myself to giving my fingerprint for identification when I have a membership card that they can scan.
