When Dollar General first open the store on State Hwy 61 in Jackson, Missouri I was so happy. It was a well stocked and a real friendly place to shop. I loved to shop there the people was very helpfull and would take the time to help me find what I needed. The past 6 months that store has went down hill. The store is poorly stocked and when you ask for something the young kids that work there will just say we are out. the people that work there don't look clean to me. I know it is located in a rural area but the could wash their hair at least. The tone of their voice is very loud and very degrading to me. I am an older person and don't like being talk to that way.

i had an issue with my cell phone (50 dollar unlimited) after buying it 3 days ago. i had my receipt and card and phone and went to the woodstock alabama store where between judy and diane spent an hour and a half first trying to find a number for me to call and then helping me call because i didnt have a phone. all while their boss was there and eventually told judy she needed to get back to work. who was trying her best to help a CUSTOMER and juggle several other things that arose while she was trying to do that. those girls were so nice all thru out us trying to figure out the problem....in my book they deserve much more than a pat on the back. if only i had the money id give those girls a vacation! i would like to thank them fromt he bottom of my heart for staying calm and helping me thru 100 phone options and an hour and half getting results!

I am in my 70's and have been a NASCAR fan for many years. When the Dollar General car won at Sunday's race and said there would be a 20% discount on Monday. I drove to my local Dollar General store only to be told the 20% discount was for shopping on live. Am I being punished for driving to your store? Not impressed with your organization.

Up until today I have loved Dollar General especially our store here in Hampton Cove, Alabama. The employees are very sweet, helpful and very polite. Today I purchased an 8 oz. container of their own brand, Clover Valley grated Parmesan Cheese to top our spaghetti dinner. After sprinkling the cheese on top, I noticed the color just wasn't right, really brown and icky. As I investigated the container I noticed the expiration date stated Jan. 1, 2012 Today is March 11, 2013. This stuff should have been thrown out over a year ago. How was this over looked all this time? Our DG store is also undergoing a total makeover and all items within the store have been rearranged and still no one saw this? Boy, I will pay a lot more attention to their products from now on. Every one beware!

I am a vegetarian and I get mad when your cashiers hand me my receipt and say I can get a free Whopper at Burger King. Animals suffer horrendously to make a stupid Whopper. If you continue to promote BK, I will stop shopping at Dollar Generals. I'll only shop at the Family Dollar or someplace else. And so will all of my vegan friends.

The Dollar General Located on 6001 Bridge City ave. in Bridge City , La has poor customer service. As soon as you walk in there is no " Hey, how are you doing." Also the store manager always has an attitude and is very ugly towards the customers.

Store hours at the Robinson,tx. Location are said to be open at 8:00 a.m. I arrived at the store after 8:00 a.m. and the door was locked a worker looked at me through the window and just walked away. I am very disappointed and this store will no longer get my business or my money. I'll go to a competitor store instead at least they open on time.

we went into the Dollar General Store today to some shopping-And almost left as soon as we opened the door-It looked more like you were walking on the ground outside than on a floor in a Store-And for a Store selling food items and clothing-there should be laws against this-Ive reported this a number of different time-And from the looks of the place-NOTHING was ever done-I had my three grand kids with me-And from just the time it took me to grab a few things-They were coverd with dirt-And the shelves were also as bad-So send me a email and i will foward you some pics of just how bad this store is-And of what store it is and where its at-I would not be so angry if the store was cleaned way back when i first reported it-And the health inspector would just love to look at this-Its awfull-

There is inappropriate music playing in Dollar General in Buena Vista, Georgia 31803! I have my niece and nephew in the store shopping with me. My niece is 3 and my nephew is 4. Some rap music came over the radio. They said G.Damn and other words that they did not need to hear! Noone did anything about it. I said something to them but they just looked at me and walked off! I believe one of them was the manager. I would like something done about this please. Thanks.

Hi i was in a D.G. store in Venice Fl 9095 i have never had the welcome that i had at that store you walk in the casher ART greet you asks if he can help fine something for you very very nice he is so happy he makes you feel very welcome if your not happy when you leave the store most of the people leaveing were still talking about him as they leave he helps the elders to there cars if needed opens the door to help them i or out some times he helps the elders shop if they cant get around to well hes one of a kind HES GREAT so glad to have him in our store THANK YOU

I would like to thank the employees at your Flat Rock Michigan store on Gibraltor rd. for great service. For the 3rd time I have asked for help with items that were not on the shelves. The employees have been friendly and more than willing to dig things from the backroom. The one time I needed some small flags for gravesites on memorial day for family veterans. Not only did they find them they would not take money because of how they were only a few and not priced. everyone has always been so friendly to do there job and continually improve the store. They are my favorite stop when shopping. You do a great job with your low prices and am also a race fan. Keep up the good work.

I shopped at store #12918, US ! S., Rockingham, NC 28379 on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Check-out time was 12:43:52. The store had several aisles blocked with merchandise making it difficult to shop. The clerk was very rude and basically demonstrated a clear lack of what it takes for superior customer service. An older lady was having difficultly finding a greeting card and the actual pricing. The clerk was very condesending to her and basically drove the woman out of the store. Another gentleman was looking for toilet tissue and I had to finally show him where it was located.as the clerk did not seem interested in helping him. You folks need to give this clerk an attitude adjustment and remind her that without customers she is not going to have a job.

I received poor customer service in the St. Petersburg, Florida location on 62nd Avenue North. The sale items were not correctly identified, were rung up incorrectly and it was difficult getting a return. The manager could not tell me when the money would be returned to my bank account and was told "corporate handles all of that." Called to complain at the corporate level and they want alot of personal information...why? I was assured they will notify the district manager. I will not shop at that location anymore.

I shop regularly at the dollar general in Wewahitchka, Florida. Today around 1:00pm I was in the store with my parents buying things we needed. I was up by the register and no other customers around me and I used my electronic vapor ciggarett. The cashier said I couldn't not use them in the store because it offends other people and was very rude about it. She was not the manager and there is no signs or anything saying you cannot use them in the store. I would like to know what there plan of action is going to be for such a rude person. As long as she is going to be there and dealing with customers I will not be going back. As a matter of fact I will not go to another dollar general again. I have never had any other business resturants included tell me I cannot use my electronic cigarett! I have many friends who use them and after they heard how bad I was treated they will not be going into their stores again.

A new store opened up in Maryland Heights and I was so excited because I have to drive to the other side of town just to pick up toilet paper. It seems like every time I go into this store the employees are bad mouthing customers that have just left or bad mouthing each other. Keep your opinions to yourself or no one is going to want to go into your store. Negative environments are toxic and people are going to stop going to this store if someone does not get this under control. I wonder if they bad mouth me when I leave the store. What kind of people are you hiring and what rules do you have in place to keep this from happening?????

In Greenville,MS on Reed rd, I had just checked out and forgotten to purchase school folders. The school supplies are 2 aisles over from the register and checkout area. I asked to come back in 15 minutes before closing time, but they would not let me back in. I am a faithful Dollar General customer but will drive to another store to have better service :(

Employees start locking customers out at 8:45 pm instead of 9:00 pm closing time . In st. George s.c. If you have any customers you should let them in at anytime before you join the other 20 or more stores who are out of bussiness!

Store #12335 in Blue Ridge, GA has very nice employees but the store is jam packed with merchandise it is impossible to pass another customer in the isles without knocking items on the shelves. I shop here every week and have to wait an average of 25 minutes to check out because there is only one person working the registers. Today I had to ask for the manager when there were fifteen people in line and I had already been waiting for 10 minutes. Your store is not convenient. Your store is always crowded and hard to get around in. Your store is aggregating to check out with ONE long line at ONE register. Last register ticket number 10772557

Hello, I think you will want to know your new store on Clarksville Hwy/Old Hickory Blvd that has just opened due to a move, has horrible CService. They do not speak or try to help and my aunt Dolly never ever complains about anything but, after shopping at the new location, has vowed to never go there again. They were not friendly and acted as if they didn't want to be bothered with helping you find something.
