Dollar General Corporate Office & Headquarters

I was in this Dollar General to do an even exchange for some laundry detergent and they associates were busy chatting with their friends and eating ice cream. When I was FINALLY waited on the associate informed me, with an attitude, that I could not to an exchange for this item or refund my money which I had a receipt for and then told me there was not a damn thing he could do about it. These were his exact words. This is not the first time that I and a lot of my friends who have been in there and have gotten the worst customer service experience. They hire these young punks who are only there for the money and not to help the customers like their suppose to be doing for which they get paid for. Everything in this store is kept cluttered and dirty. I will never go back in that store and many people I know will not return even if changes are made. I hope they are happy for losing paying customers.

The store has gone down hill since they opened 5 years ago. When they remolded and do resets they take away so many stuff in the grocery section. Things that many of us went there for in the 1st place. The choices of things are no longer there. I have to check my receipt every time. Cause things you have on sale and dicounted are never right. Im for ever having to stand there for a manget to come and change up to 5 items. Plus you go to check out and there is only 1 line open. The line is so backed up. The clothes section looks like a yard sale. Just terrible. The bathroom is always nasty. I have been there more times than i can count and there is no bread or milk.

i don't care how desperate you are for money, this place is terrible, you get treated like crap, and the pay is NOT worth it. head my words. they don't clean, they don't know how to write a schedule, and the entire place is run based off of drama. dingy, unorganized, and impossible to succeed.

I was at the Dollar Store in Petersburg, WV this past Sunday and was appalled when I heard the manager of the store cussing someone over the telephone. What kind of people do you let run your stores?

i put in how good things are going in our store y cant you put that in no you put all the bad things in you no people like to hear the good things about D.G. to D.G. not that bad just need to clean up the D.M.s need to wake up and look at what they got THANK YOU

After reading quite a few of these reviews, I thought I would put in my two cents. The problem with Dollar General is they get by as cheap as they can by dodging paying benefits and paying only min wage. Plus the robbery rate is high. If the executives would treat the employees as good as they are treated, then the employees would have great attitudes, turnover would be nil. They would have qualified people working for them all the time. They haven't figured out I guess that a happy employee produces better work.

I shop at numerous Dollar General stores in East Texas but the store in Mineola, Texas has gotten really bad. Everything is cluttered and much out of place. The floors are filthy, the store in general is filthy. The bathroom door doesn't even work. I really like Dollar General and the Mineola store is the one I shop at most. It would really be good if this store is cleaned up.

Our Dollar General on 61 North,Natchez,Ms Next to Tractor Supply is in need of a cleaning. Please come see. You can't even get down the aisles. And there is always one employee. That's not safe or fair to the one working. Please come clean it up , I like Dollar General.

I was at the Wellborn Dollar General, Sunday April 21st. When I witness a woman slip and fall on the floor near the coolers (that was not working so water was on the floor) the casher looked over the counter and saw her fall she was brused on her arms and back. When she went to the counter to tell the casher the cooler is out and there is water on the floor were she fell. The only remark the casher had was I will check in on it. Did not ask the woman if she was ok. So FYI I know the woman lives in Wlborn some were. Hopefully I can find her and talk her into sueing be happy to be her witness.

Indianapolis, IN store @ 56th & Georgetown Rd. Jarmon (?) greeted not only me, but each person(s) that entered while I was shopping. You could hear him say "Hello" or "welcome to Dollar General". He had a pleasing attitude and a nice smile that your could hear in his voice before you saw him. He also asked if we wanted a cart or a basket for shopping. My problem with four or five different Indianapolis stores is that you no longer carry a Spice Treasures Chili Seasoning which I have been purchasing for years. I believe it started with 4/$1.00, then went to 3/$1.00 and finally, I think, $2/$1.00 I do not want McCormick Chili Seasoning; I want Spice Treasures. Please let me know where I can buy my seasoning. Lastly, the stores I frequent do not, thank God, have the bad odors mentioned in some of your reviews. You may wish to consider putting out, not less variety but less quantity, at one time. Your stores will look neater. Another consideration would be to place two $ stores next door to one another or at least in the same shopping complex. Perhaps your managers would try a little harder to please their customers (I have read the bad reviews listed above). Just a few thoughts. Thanks.

I went to the dollar general @ 4500 Edmondson Ave. I don't live in that area but decided to go after visiting a friend. As soon I walked in, a strong, dirty, closed in odor, greeted me, alongside a huge hole or crack in the wall, at the front door. The floor is filthy. The shelves were unorganized and bare. There was a piece of equipment used for stocking shelves, blocking the cat food and prevented me from entering with my cart or attempting to buy my spoiled cat, $30 worth of food and treats. I did find everything else I needed but knew that I'd never return to that location again. I saw one employee. The back area was open and cluttered just like the store with folded boxes within the view of an already disorganized, dirty, and smelly store. I asked the cashier, "How did the store manage to get in that disgraceful condition?" I remember when it first opened. Every reason why I shopped at that store was a memory. Well, the cashier said that THEFT was the reason for the turn around of your once clean and productive store. Best wishes on trying to clean up a store that looks like the health dept, police dept. etc. should be trying to shut down. I was honestly glad I had on boots as I left because it looked like at any moment a mouse would come out of huge crack in the wall or from the dirty and cluttered floor areas throughout the store. Ewwww!!!

I entered the store and found the floors dirty, drink spills, trash. When I went to look for a baby items the store was a mess, clerk were visiting , I won't go back. Clean up your act Dollar General...

Several employees at the store in Mcdonough, Ga. on hwy 81 east are terrible...in my experiences there the Manager always has a chip on her shoulder when required to answer to a situation or if the place gets busy...I have seen long lines and waiting because of 1 register being open and several employees in the store.... the older, whiney ,Cashier that was complaining about her day and how tired she was missed the dollar off coupon on my purchase so I asked her politely to rering it....after waiting several minutes to get someone "competent" enough to credit the money back to me I was left waiting several more minutes while other customers were herded around me....After approx 10 minutes the manager steps up after hearing/seeing the entire debacle and decides to "help"...needless to say it took her 10+ more minutes to (train) the other rookie how to do it rather than handling the situation and giving me my refund credit herself....Ms "Manager" ,you know who you are... you really need to be retrained in the way of customer service but honestly, that trait and ability is something that comes naturally in most people...it is called effort and the will to communicate....qualities you seem to lack. in retrospect it Looks like dollar general is scraping the bottom of the barrel for managers/ associates these days.....while getting rich and opening new stores everywhere at the expense of the customers and the poor service they recieve....The majority of the reviews here tell the story anyway.....

I was in Thorndale TX for Easter and went to the DG store while I was their and it was really clean & well stocked. Corporate was called in on the store in Luling TX where I live & it still hasn't changed much the inside is still cluttered & they have a whole isle blocked by a cart full of electric heaters. The out side is trashy they have no trash cans outside so the trash gets put in baskets or thrown on the ground.

Went to Dollar General store that I'm familiar with and they are familiar with me..first of all, there is a ditch in the parking lot that, if you are not familiar with the parking lot you WILL DAMAGE your vehicle...secondly, what DG doesn't allow use of restroom facilities for customers??!! who does THAT??!! went into my REGULAR DG store, had just left work, long drive, had to use restroom BADLY, they refused to let me use the restroom! I couldn't believe it! Other than that, this particular store has good stock, but the other DG that lets customers use restroom facilities is lousy! Guess they gotta find balance somehow...

You have to wait forever in line since everyone is recovering the store. Prices are now higher than just about anywhere including Walmart. The associates are rude, nasty and lazy. This company should really rethink some of there policies as I have never stood in line and watched so many people just walk out without paying (explains the higher prices). Get it together. This is all of them I have ever been and I will be doing business elsewhere from now on.

Brand new store in DeSoto, IL all the employee's park right in front of the store in a town that has many older customers & if something is said about it the workers just shrug it off like nothing is said. Employees should have to park away from the doors & let the customers use the closer spots. By the way there are only two handicap parking spots. :( what the heck dollar general!

the store in champion, ohio does not know how to do their jobs properly! i recently bought a net 10 card from them and they didnt activate it! i would advise everyone to avoid that store

I live in Mccamey, Texas 79752 and our Dollar General Store lately has been very dirty and unkept. There are unopened boxes in the middle of the isles and the place is dirty and unkept. It did not use to be this way but it has been unkept now for several months. We really need this store, our town is very small and this store has been a great help by providing things we need at a good price.
