We were a customer with AT&T U-verse and cancelled our service due to them taking automatic payment out of our account when we cancelled auto-payment they still took it out of our account and now we are waiting for 3months to get a refund. So we get the run around where do we send small claims law suit to for this issue does anyone know?

I AM A SENIOR RAISING A GRANDSON DUE TO A DEATH IN MY FAMILY. I TRIED ATT CELL AND BOY WHAT A CROCK. I GOT SO MANY BILLS EACH MONTH WITH SO MANY DIF AMOUNTS , I JUST GAVE UP. COULD NOT AFFORD MORE AND MORE MONEY. I BROKE MY CONTRACT AND WAS CHARGED ALMOST $900.OO . SO THEY TUNNED ME OVER TO COLLECTIONS BECAUSE MY PAYMENTS WERE TO SMALL. THEN COLLECTIONS CALLED ME AND SAID IF I WOULD PAY HALF THAT IT WOULD BE OVER ONLY IF I PAID HALF THAT DAY AND THE OTHER IN ONE MONTH. I DID SO. NOW ANOTHER COLLECTION IS CALLING ME WANTING ANOTHER $159.00 FOR THE SAME BILL. I CANT SEEM TO GET ANYONE TO LISTEN TO ME ABOUT THIS. THEY CALL EVERY 3 DAYS ABOUT TWICE A DAY. WHAT CAN I DO? WHO CAN I CALL? THE CEO WONT TAKE ANY CALLS UNLESS YOU ARE VIP...WHAT TO DO???????

I purchased a prepaid cell phone 4/15/11. I opted not to purchase any additional minutes. In August 2011 I started getting harrassing collection calls telling me that AT&T wanted $525 for a cell contract which I didn't buy. Over the last year I have spent many, many hours talking to AT&T customer care, which are worthless, and told it will be taken care of and it was a mistake when originally entered by their representative. This has not happened and I continue to get harrassing phone calls. I have been lied to constantly by customer care, told a manager will call back. I have yet to have any one call me back as I was promised they would. I have sent certified letters, one to Dallas corporate which was signed for and one to Denver which was refused and returned to me. The Dallas corporate office has yet to contact me by mail, e-mail or phone in the last two months since getting all of my information. When I call AT&T they always tell me that I don't have an account so how can they have a collection company call me. Then I ask them to call these people and get them to leave me alone. At one point a customer care person ask me to call the collection people while he was on the phone, I had AT&T on my land line and the collection person on my cell and I was relaying information back and forth from them. Still AT&T has done nothing to correct their mistake that is causing alot of frustation and stress in my life. A year is long enough, AT&T needs to do what they said they would, remove everything on my name and cancel the collection company. Any suggestions are welcome, I am at the point of hiring an attorney.

YOUR customer service S-U-C-K-S!!!! Three attempts today. Three attempts last month for the same problems, OVER CHARGES. Do they speak and understand ENGLISH in your company, the predominate language in this country??? Will I have to put up with a 20 to 30 minute phone call to get this fixed every month? Will I have to put up with a phone system that drops calls, reps that do NOT speak English or understand it? Chat that cuts off in the middle of typing? Local store reps that have little to no patience with customers that aren't as savvy about the packages as they are? You know, all I'll need is one more month with these 'people' and I'll go to pay-as-you-go phone on even more 'old school': a 'land line'. Surely you can't screw that up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had an AT&T acct for mnay years. I have kept a basic phone service with dsl for several years and was paying about $50-55 on average a month. Last month my bill jumped over $20 more. I have no long distnace attached to my bill. So I called to find out why it was up to $77.60. I wanted it back to about what I was paying. I was told my dsl jumped from $19 to 38. I was also told Att was not going to carry dsl and was going into u-verse, so I was offered a new special offer of $55 a month for both my phone and internet for one year and it would rise $10 by the next summer after 1 year's promo price. Fine. That was ok with me. I asked if that was my final bill and I was told it would not have taxes attached to the billing any longer as well. I then get a paper sent soon after showing amounts up to $248.63. I was confused about it and called and got a young person who couldn't answer anything and kept repeating her opening statement of her name and she was here to serve me.....Each time I asked a question she would have dead air aqnd I'd ask, "hello....are you still there?" She would then repeat all over again her name and blah, blah, blah, blah......I asked about the paper and if I was going to be billed extra charges. She said no, that it was not a bill just the potential amounts IF I ordered those extra services. Fine, though I found her annoying by not answering a lot of my questions. I was left to believe all was ok. But she said my bill was not going to be $55, but rather $65 as the young man I first spoke with on the 30th of July didn't include my long running inside/outside maintence plan after all, which I was supposedly still having listed. I was slightly annoyed, but it was I assumed an oversite, though I specifically asked the first young man about making sure it was still on there and the credits I normally get with my service were to be "included". That was the first misrepresentation....... I called again three days later when I noticed I had voice mail on my phone as it was flashing and I wondered why and I had no code to listen anyway. I called once again and spoke to two people, one I got routed to was tech support, but she sent me to customer service. I spoke to yet another person. She told me things had been done wrong and I was to pay near $62 for the u-verse they added me on and my "upgraded" phone service, which I NEVER asked to upgrade with new features! I wanted to strip it all back down to the basic line, my normal maintenance and other credits I usually had and then was given as the final new amount of $57.70 for the next year. She also forced me into a year early termination fee if I changed anything! I was ok as long as I got the $57.70 bill for what we arrived at at the end of the conversation. I also had three service reps out in one week to change the old dsl modem, then to change back the upgrade I didn't agree to from analog and digital changes.....the thrid one was due to the ohone and internet wouldn't come up and it needed some work after the earlier work done on phone lines had a glitch. I checked my att email today and they now have me billed for $231.37 for "equipment!" Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If someone complains about going up over $22 with no added costs to explain it, why would they then think they can add over $180 more than the original billing I was paying each month? I am FURIOUS!!!!!!!!! I am posting this as info for those who don't want to be duped by ATT. I will let EVERYONE know how the reps are CHEATING and LYING to their customers! Find other options folks!

I do not believe that any one from corporate will read any of these comments - including mine. They'll just re-route it to another country, where no one will understand the complaint nor be able to respond or care enough to respond. Daily - every day and already 4 times today, my internet service has gone down. yesterday for over 3 1/2 hours. I kept calling AT &T. I got sent to India, Maylasia, Indonisia and then supposed to get routed to a US CSR, but no... the fake accent was just too much for me to handle and she refused to say what country she was in. And, if you are a CSR, I'm pretty sure, if you live in the US, you know where WISCONSIN is! I asked each of them to record my conversation with them... not happenning.. I run a small business out of my home and need the internet to stay in contact with my clients, update and review my web site and various other things. Before AT &T became att it was Ma Bell.... maybe they should go back to the good ol days when they actually provided services in a timely and quality manner. AND HELPED FEED OUR ECONOMY BY BEING AN AMERICAN COMPANY THAT EMPLOYED AMERICANS SO THEY COULD FEED THEIR KIDS, PAY THEIR BILLS AND KEEP A ROOF OVER THEIR HEADS. THE BUCK USED TO STOP HERE..... SO.... If you live in the United States of America, and pay for a service that you do not receive - as contracted- the provider is committing Fraud. That is a felony. Is there an attorny out there that will help all of these AT&T customers with a class action suite? I do not have cable TV so put it on regular, but before midnight. Thanks.

To the CEO, I am outraged that AT&T has supported the tea party and has profitted dearly from those on the right!!! I had my AT&T u-verse put in recently and I am going to be taking it out. I am unemployed and uninsured!! With the help of AT&T it appears that I may be in this position a good long time. I can not afford health insurance but AT&T wants to support the wealthy and protest the Obamare! I'll be writing an article in the S. Fl newspapers to bring awareness to those less fortunate, so they can make better decisions on who they chose as tv/internet/phone carriers! Disgusted in Boca Raton

AT&T have the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ever and charge you up the storm for all these I don’t know what ??? I’ve sign up for their “so called” promotion (IT’S FAKE) and got charged $54 dlls for phone service & $182 dlls for U-Verse that they couldn’t get it to work. It also took two of their technicians just to get a dial tone into my apartment because the first one did not have the right equipments and the second one was a no show until Tuesday late afternoon when I was our running my errands. By this time it was five days into the process with ATT. Supposedly there was not signal to my end of the apartment so by the 7th day I got rid of ATT and went with a different company who did have better customer service and give me a way better deal on both phone and internet service. Now I’m stuck with their bills for service that I’ve never even got. What Is Wrong With This Picture??? ATT need to served their customer with more pride & respect instead of thinking of the money that their making from their false advertisement. THIS IS A WASTE OF TIME! VERY FRUSTRATING! DO NOT SIGN UP WITH ATT!

AT&T HAS A VERY POOR WAY OF COMMUNICATING. I HAVE BEEN A VERY GOOD CUSTOMER OF THEIRS SINCE 1993. I HAVE HAD CELL, INTERNET AND HOME PHONE SERVICE.IN 2006 I WAS DOING MY NEPHEW A FAVOR I ADDED HIM TO MY FAMILY PLAN. HE AND HIS WIFE MOVED TO A DIFFERENT CITY AND HIS BILLS WERE ALWAYS SENT TO HIS HOUSE. I ALWAYS GOT MY BILL AT HOME AS USUAL AND WAS NEVER LATE SO I HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH MY NEPHEWS BILL.AFTER 4 YEARS I FOUND OUT HE WAS ALWAYS LATE BUT THEY CONTINUED TO LET HIM HAVE SERVICE ON HIS CELL. THEY FINALLY DID DISCONNECT HIM BUT THE WAY I FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS WHOLE MESS WAS BECAUSE AT&T SENT IT TO COLLECTIONS AND COLLECTIONS STARTED CALLING ME. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS A MISTAKE. ALWAYS BEING A GOOD CUSTOMER YOU WOULD OF THOUGHT THEY WOULD OF CONTACTED ME FIRST TO LET ME KNOW OF THE SITUATION BUT NO, THEY SAID THAT WAS NOT THEIR POLICY AND WERE NOT VERY FRIENDLY OR HELPFUL ON GETTING INFORMATION SO I COULD TAKE MY NEPHEW TO COURT. THEY SAID I HAD TO PAY THE BILL WHICH TOTALED $3,600.00 WITH INTEREST AND COLLECTION FEES. I TOOK MY NEPHEW TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT RECENTLY AND WON AND GOT THE REPORT REMOVED FROM MY CREDIT REPORT. SO YOU CAN SEE I AN UNHAPPY CAMPER WITH AT&T FOR THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION.

My sister is a caregiver to a young woman who is the customer. This young woman has suffered multiple strokes, which have left her bedridden. AT&T has been made aware of this and was working with my sister to get the bill paid, until they decided they didn't want to help any longer. My sister advised that all she needed was a few days to either find the results of a lost money order trace, or make a payment HERSELF when she got paid. The shut the service off, and the young woman (who by the way had been hospitalized for hypertensive emergencies because of this and when they refused to restore service she suffered another stroke). All this over TV, the tv has a calming effect for stroke victims, it helps with brain stimulus, and it is the only form of entertainment she had. The person they punished was this young woman and her young son who witnessed his mom convulse and as my sister tried to call for ambulatory services, she couldn't because the phone line is off as well, and the medical function on her alarm wouldn't send a signal. That all happened over the weekend. AT&T has ignored every call or message, and this young woman comes home today, let's see if they're still willing to kill her.

To the management of AT&T, Bravo to you, NBC and You Tube along with IBM on the coverage of the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games. What happened within 24 Hours of the Closing Ceremony being shown Live Uninterrupted was truly an amazing endeavor. I look forward to connected my computer telephone line to my Sony Bravia. If this is what it will be like in the future, a great start with today's test. NBC, You Tube and AT&T outdid themselves. I can't wait to get the U-Verse Television Service again. Bravo on a job well done. I couldn't believe the wonderful color of the Closing Ceremony. It will go down as one of the best I've seen. Rio has there work cut out for them as does Sochi 2014.

I called (1-800-331-0500) on Aug-10-2012 around 6pm(spoke with Britney)trying to continue another 2 years business with AT&T. However, I asked Britney what kind of offer she can do to keep me as a customer. Because I've been shopping for a week with other cellular phone carriers and received many great plans from them. Britney put me on hold for more than 7 minutes and the line is disconnected all of a sudden. But I never receive a follow up call from her. Therefore, I assumed she does not care/value for my continue business with AT&T. I made my decision rapidly not to stay with AT&T anymore due to Britney lack of interest.

I had a Land line Cellphone(2) and an internet with an ATT I called them for a year trying to resolve my internet and land line problem talking to tier 1-3 was able to resolve it for 1-2 day and then same story calling and talking and and and and What made me quit with a cellphone and an internet in one day! Support stuff demanded that I provide money in advance to have them look at a same problem Next day I called to Utility commission and explained them how for a full year of calls and frustration they tried ripping me off one day. 3 hours later I received a call the very same day from Costumer relation to let me know that they are aware of this problem and It has been going on for past year and half in there CO building, they also had an engineers working on this problem for past year YET they always said on a phone that it was my computer my modem my wiring etc….. They have refunded me my money for a year of internet and a land line The thing that I regret is past time and lack of knowledge, cause after talking to a lawyer I could and had a very good case against ATT at the time to suit them for more than 50K easy….. Next time I’ll just do that!

This has got to be the worse company I have ever had to deal with. AT&T doesn't deserve one star, if possible they deserve minus- five stars. I have been with them a year. The company has never gotten my bill straight. I have to call every month to talk to someone, which generally takes me anywhere from an hour to two. That is because I will be switched from one department to the next. I keep a folder for each company/services I pay for monthly. I have over ten different phone numbers for AT&T. Despite the fact the company cannot get my bill straight and I have discussed that with them every month for over a year, they have shut me off four or five times in the last year and then charged me a $30 reconnect fee. They lied to me about the 'package deal' I got with them, and also failed to point out the fine print that went along with the sign-up agreement. Once again this month's bill is wrong. I know I should have called them when I first received it, but you get weary of calling and wasting so much time trying to fix something over and over again. I have never spent so much of my time dealing with a company that is suppose to provide me with service. It is awful. AT&T is awful, awful, awful and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. But then are any of the other companies now providing phone services (cell or landline) really any better?

were to begin, i tried to cancel my old service 11 times and everytime i am told oh, sorry i will take care of it. must be a glitch in the system what a joke then we move and try to transfer service only to find out that we are paying for our old service. at the new address and the tech for the phone is the one that told us. as a contractor please let me come and work on any upper management houses so i can send unqualified employees to do the job and still get paid for the poor quality you will receive just as at&t has done with my acct. not that it will make a damn bit of difference to uppermanagement. but some people actually take pride and train there min wage employees to do the job right.....

You should take off on your ad that you have exseptional customer service.The tech guys are great everyone else in the orginization sucks from the top pay check to the bottom that you have outsourced to India and other coutries so you all in the higher corp pay grades make more and your service sucks to high heaven

I am a business owner and have AT&T. All I can say is buyer beware and if you value your money, business and customer service look elsewhere for your Internet and phone service. Spare yourself the countless hours of frustration with the numerous departments that you will be handed off to and the many times you will be disconnected and apologized to. This company is a lacking highly in integrity and value for their customers. There is a complete disregard for your time and money. BEWARE RESEARCH AND DO YOURSELF A FAVOR....find another option and count yourself as one of the lucky ones.

Just saw your commercial about texting and driving. Thank you for putting it out there. I lost my cousin because of a young lady driving and texting. She hit him while he was training for a triathlon on his bike. The more people become aware, the more people's lives will save. Thanks again!finally a commercial that's meaningful. Great job!
