I think what alot of this site lacks is inside detail from a Winn Dixie (Wd) outside of Florida. I am a stocker from Wd In Louisiana. I have been stocking for Winn Dixie the past 4 years. Along the way in my career at Winn Dixie I have seen firsthand their stereotypical ways. I am a college student just trying to get through college on a Winn Dixie paycheck. From what I can tell Winn Dixie has no interest in staying open. Everything they put on is a front. All the way from the fake smiles you rarely get to the fuel perk scams. Now Winn Dixie is bought out from bi lo. Almost all of the high up positions are gone. This was probably seen before hand by the people holding the position since they all quit. Whether no lo knows this or not Winn Dixie obviously does not want to stay open because of what I have seen from a store director who is my boss. When integer to him I will call him d.c. For short. For four years I have ran with my stock crew. Trying to take pride in my work. But all I have ever heard from him and his inner circle have been negativity and conspiracies to fire me and my friends. Unlike alot of the people dc does hire me as my fiends stayed drug free and are trying to set up a future for ourselves. To confirm that there are people who at enewly hired making more then current ones is absolutely true. I am also paid 7.85 am hour. I have taken pride with my work and so have my friends who work together as a team. Almost all of my friends are gone from stock crew (the three they are) becaus they have had enough of the constant be associated with our store. Is it so much to ask for a simple thank you? We have driven our bodies with a small amount of hours that grocery receives while other departments flourish. We cannot control the sizes of our trucks because dc interferes and orders huge over 20 pallet trucks and still expects all of his backstock to be worked while the store is fully blocked. There is no way only three sometimes 2 people can do that in just five little hours. But every time inventory comes he's ready to roll with everybody. Our hours are small but or bonuses are big for dc. All of my friends are gone and I remain trying to survive my last few months with winndixie. I don't know why dc saw me and my friends as lack of interest just because we are pursuing higher goals. He seems to like the scum type to workfor him. We just got rid of a center store manager that took out his personal life from home on us. Now he's somewhere in Florida. Our home base. Kinda ironic. I used to take pride in all my work and I had a great amount of positivity and charisma but now dc has polluted it with negativity and never satisfy able. I know he's trying to get me to quit but I'm trying to hold out for a couple of months. I go through criticism and lecture sessions that last all day and at the end of the day they wanna know why nothing got done? Becaus I had to listen to them all day. Wal mart in no way can be as bad as this. Now I'm reading stuff about Florida Winn Dixie's attitudes. Bi lo needs to get these Winn Dixie's under control and pray to god they start with the right people. Don't look at the employees to blame. Look at the highest up management. Because that is the root of the problem. This is only a small fraction of what I experienced. I should have got out sooner. I hope this informs alot of people including bi lo it's time for new store directors in the Winn Dixie franchise. I will keep posts coming as I try to survive.

I have to say that Winn Dixie as a whole seems to be going down do the fact that the higher ups could careless about any others working in the company oir the customers for that matter esp, cashiers, stock, and most deparments. I have been with Winn Dixie for about 3 years working in South, FL, at least once a month my check is short I have to got the managers gm whoever and get them to add hours that they have missed. Not only is it a hassle but more than half of that time i dont even get my money.how do excpect anyone to work at all if dont pay them what theyve worked for

Recently, being this last week in a store in Hialeah Florida. The store has decided to clean house and fire numerous managers for failure to follow policy. Notice of investigation was done over a 2 minute phone call. Then two days later an employee CO-MANAGER of the Store was fired without clear definition. This employee has been working at Winn-Dixie for over 15 years. They then asked her to come in today to sign her termination for failure to follow policy which she has denied. If anyone in the Winn-Dixie store chain recently has been terminated for reasons without any evidence or here-say please let's get together to expose this store and their deliberate house cleaning antics. If I worked Human Resources for this store I am not sure how I could sleep at night knowing all the people who dedicated themselves to this chain are thrown out the door with no dignity or valid reasoning. There is a saying what goes around comes around your day will come... You just lost a great employee today, for what your lack of training.

Winn Dixie's area supervisors need to be realed in by corporate immediatley, you either are not aware of their practices or you are endorsing or ignoring them. HARRASMENT!!! BULLYING!!! DISCREMINATION!!! Act upon this immediatley!!! After years of no complaints and four roll in over 3 days and they are targeting employees with impecable work records. I have seen these agendas before (restructuring after a but out). Media can be your friend or you enemy. I have handled these situations before and it's all too familiar. You need to look CLOSELY at middle management and soon.

Our Winn Dixie Store #736 has the best employee in the Deli. Her name is Katrina Salerno. She is always courteous and smiling to the customers at the Deli counter. She is very knowledgeable about the products. Her displays are very artistic and creative she always has time to answer any questions I may have about the products. In addition, she exemplifies the type of person that is professional in appearance and demeanor. An excellent representative of your company, she has encouraged me to try new products I would normally not try on my own. Such as your bread pudding. I did not think anyone would be able to top my fathers' recipe, but you have! Katrina is an enthusiastic. friendly, knowledgeable person. She makes me feel so welcome that I truly enjoy shopping your store. If I am I in a bad mood when I come in, I leave with a smile. This week WD had in their flyer Hormel Chili Beans or Hormel Chili No Beans Buy One Get One Free When I went to buy one of each,the cashier informed me that only the Chili with Beans was eligible for the Buy One Get One Free and she had another girl exchange my No Bean can for a can of Chili With Beans. When I got home I discovered the FLIER SAID EWITHER WAS AVAILABLE FOR THE BUY ONE GET ONE AND IN ADDITION THE SIGNS BY THE CANS SAID THE SAME THING. When I called the 8oo number to register a complain I WAITED 25 MINUTES AND NO ONE ANSWERED!! I LIVE IN A TOWN WHERE WD IS THE ONLY GROCERY OR THEY WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS HERE LIKE THEY ARE IN SOME OTHER TOWNS IN FL BOO HISS W DIXIE

i am a cashier. ive been there for a year and a couple of days. a new cashier comes in and he is about seventeen or eighteen and he is getting paid eight dollars. i get paid 7.85. that isnt right. i have been gettin a few hours lately about 27. he is gettin 35+ he is also a bagger. i also have not gotten a raise. i asked some managers "when do you get a raise" and they said every six months, a year, you should call human resources. they was giving me a run-around. i am a great cashier i work hard come in when they need me to and stay a few hours when they ask....how come i cant get a raise, somethin. i need some answers. oh yeah it also isnt fair that i go from 27 hours to 13 sometimes i even get 4 sometimes....not cool....imma handle this

I've been working for Winn Dixie for more than three years and the situation is getting terrible by the minute. This store is being remodel and they are hiring new people, the problem is that the new employees are getting paid more than the current employees that have been with the company for years and on top of that they are getting more hours. The irony is that when you ask the front end manager for hours she says that that there are not enough hours yet they are hiring new people like what the **** is going on. another thing they make work the night shift and come back the next for the morning shift they don't care about employees at all; they like to take advantage of empployees by asking them to stay late because they are always short on people to close at night, yet when an employee is sick they show no sympathy and want to make the employee work sick. This new management is terrible beginning with the front end manager who has no idea what she is doing as far making the schedule or running the front end yet she's been hooking up with the store manager, she needs to get out. At this store it seems that you need to know somebody or have some sort of connection to move up in the company, there seems to be a lot favotism among some of the new employees and the managers. It is so unhealthy to work in this company not only do they expect you to live and breath winn dixie but they are so inconsiderate, unfair, and corrupt. I know I'll be leaving this low and corrupt job. I have no idea how winn dixie is still around, winn dixie should close for once and for all.

I had an interview with Winn Dixie for a customer service lead position in La Belle FL. I was told that I was hired in the interview. I completed the drug test and called 5 times within 3 weeks to find out why I had not started my training classes. The store manager said the system had booted me out and she could not figure out why. This was after 3 weeks of me calling did she tell me this. I then proceeded to tell her that I had a felony from 5 years ago and did not think they would have gave me an interview and told me I had the job and made me wait 3 weeks if they did not know that I had a felony. The manager or the man who interviewed me did not even look at the felony part on my application. How could they be managers if they don't even look at the applications thoroughly before hiring someone! I always state loud and clear on my application that I have had the felony and the reason why. Then she proceeded to tell me that the company does not hire felons! My felony is for drugs, I was young and in the wrong place at the wrong time. Since then, I have changed my life, have a family, go to church, and am even married to a correctional officer and am a mother of a special needs child! Its not like I have a felony for robbery or theft or child molestation or a weapon charge. I just feel that companies should give people with felonies a second chances. Everyone makes mistakes at some point in their life. That does not mean that they are a bad person. I think that Winn Dixie should hire felons through the Federal Bonding Program, which gives felons a second chance. The felon will be covered like insurance through the bonding program and give the employer assurance. Then the employer will also get a tax break at the end of the year for hiring the felon.

I worked at the winn Dixie on market street in Jacksonville Florida and since my first director has left it's been the most horrible, negative, disgusting place to work for. My FEM treated me abusevily over the past year. Every day when id see her car in the parking lot I'd cringe and get an ill feeling in my stomach. She has humiliated me in front of my customers and that was the worse for me. My customers were even standing in shock when these SEVERAL incidents occurred. She constantly looks for something to be wrong because she PERSONALLY had something against me. Til this day I still do not know how someone my mothers age could have such personal mean ugly feelings towards me. I was an EXCELLENT cashier and she made my job hell but I still was amazing to my customers and helped them more than any management at that store. As for my store director, he was always very nasty, rude, and down right ugly to employees and has no humanity what so ever. I was absolutely ASTONISHED at this man when he first entered winn Dixie at the way he'd talk to the employees and humiliate them in front Of other employees. It's disgusting and job or no job, I could never treat another person with such nastiness. It shows his character. No wonder why they have constant interviews on Monday. It's disgusting the way these people are. The other management there will just sit back and watch while he calls people in his office and talks down right nasty to them. It seems like alot of the other managers love it and just sit and stare while he humiliates people to death. It's abuse if you ask me. There is absolutely no reason for this man to get as nasty as he gets with people. NONE. And As for what I went through, I have learned a huge experience from these people who THINK they got the best of me.

I have been an employee for Winn Dixie for about 5 years now, everything about this company is shit, almost every employee that had not been there nearly as long as I have get paid more than me, not because they at better workers, only because they know someone in management, the managers are very racist even though they are only "joking". I recently got a new job and go to college. My new job required me to be up by 5 am and have told management countless times that I cannot stay until midnight because of my situation and they respond with "you have to work your scheduled hours, that's how it is". Drug use is a problem, the employees and management are like buddies so they all go out and drink together, very unprofessional for managers to be partying with associates and talking about it the next day. I am the only employee who does not hang out with any other workers, so when managers have parties I am always singled out and have me be the only associate working for the night. Keep in mind my manager use under age and also invites the high school kids we work with to his parties. That same manager has also asked employees to skip school and come work the following morning

If I could give it a rating of Negative -100 stars I would. The Winn Dixie at 777 Market Street, Jacksonville, Fl 32202 has to be the very worst store in the entire chain of stores and customer service is non-existent, especially if the customer calls in over the phone rather than visit the customer service counter while in the store. They refuse to allow a caller to speak to a supervisor, preferring to argue and loud-talk the caller instead. They love to argue with the customer, cut them off while they are still talking, and refuse a sentence to be completed before they start shooting off their mouth, and the majority of the time, they don't even know the answer to the questions that are being asked. The deli workers don't wash their hands before handling food, don't wear hair nets or gloves and aren't careful in the handling of the food or the meat cutting machines which may not ever be cleaned in between cutting different meats. Probably only get washed at the end of the last shift.

The Pinellas Park, winn dixie on 102nd ave has a huge problem with employee theft. From the time M.F was head cashier she supplimented her income from the tils, along with the money from the coke machines, and overages in any account the money was taken, especially any 2. bills. She also traded food stamps for cash. As she became a general Manager she takes home any item that she needs either by stealing it or discounting it for pennies on the dollar. She is sleeping with the cooperate manager so they look the other way. This is isn't just Melissa, it is also several of the employees in this store.

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

The drug use at a Winn Dixie in lakeland fl at 6600 north socrum loop rd is so bad the employes do it in the parking lot. I am looking for work and was told by an employee by the name of Chris M. all I need to do is keep clean for 30 days before my drug test after that you can can get high as you want, because they don't test you again. I was also told that the front end manager has party's at his home and all the employees go to his house to get high. I called Winn Dixie about this and they did nothing. Hell they had some kid that worked there that got caught with a loaded gun along with drugs and was arrested awaiting a court date and did not fire him he was caught again with drugs and that lead to no firing. But he did get fired after he got caught for the third time with another loaded gun on his person. I was told that this employee got caught not at Winn Dixie but making drug deals on the streets. So I ask all of you people that shop at this store Now that you know you can take a nice sunny day to go shopping with your kids and wind up at Winn Dixie and run into an employee that is drugged up and maybe caring a gun. and you piss him off, what will happen? Please do not shop at this store I am involved with news channel 8 on your side to investigate all of the employees at this store. i will post updates.

Winn-Dixie is the absolute worst. How this company has stayed in business so long is a mystery to me. The managers don't care about their employees, only themselves. They berate their employees and then fire them if they try to defend themselves. I will never set foot in another Winn-Dicks-me store ever again and I look forward to seeing them go bankrupt. The lowest pits of hell are not deep enough for this "corporation".
