I am writing to say how disappointed I am with the restructing of the Ulta points program. Recently the points were restructured so now I get even less for my money and the rewards for spending tremendous amounts of money in your store are shabby to say the least. We used to have nice rewards for spending our money in your store bur now that Ulta has restucturd the program we get less for our money and the new choices are horrible. If Ulta does not go back to their old rewards system I will be forced to shop at Sephora again where I like my reward items.

I am letting you know that i shop at the Abilene Texas store #409 and was so exteemly glad to see Pam Lollar working in your store. The other managers you had working there were rude and unhelpful.I am abig fan of your PUR MINERALS products and every time my daughter and i gon in there they never knew what they had on hand or when they were getting a shipment.AND WHEN they had a promo with a free gift with purchuse they always said they did not have the free gift.. Hello are the counter girls taking all the free gifts??? So that would leave me no choice but to go to Dillards to buy my Pur Minerals. Now that You have hired Miss PAM LOLLAR my daughters and I will continue to shop there. Please do everthing to keep her , she is awsome with the public.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I purchased a couple items part in $13 cash and the rest in credit. As I was leaving the register, I noticed on my receipt that it said that I only paid $9. I went back to the same cashier, and told her what happened. She snapped at me loudly in front of the whole store and gave me an attitude. Another employee came over to help me and gave me the $4 difference. As I was leaving the store, she came running after me asking for the money back because the register was $10 short. Obviously, the cashiers haven't been counting their money right because even with my $4, they're still $6 short. Never shopping there again.

I am thinking about accepting a managerial position with Ulta. I have worked for other Global companies & have learned a lot. I have read the complaints on this website & I think a lot of their dilemmas could have been avoided if Ulta employees would have remembered that the client/consumer comes first! It is important for ANYONE in a service industry to remember that without the consumer NO business would not exist or be successful!

Last evening my friend and I visited the Ulta store off Division Street in Gresham, Oregon. The employee (a woman who was a little older, short hair that was curly on top, wore a white shirt and black trousers) came up to us at closing time and told us to put our stuff down or go purchase them. We apologized for not realizing it was closing time and immediately headed to the cashier to purchase our items. As we passed by she made snarky, rude comments about us. On the way to the front, my friend mentioned to me that she had wanted to purchase a curling iron. Employee #2 overheard my friend and, since there was a line in front of us, offered to go grab the iron. The same rude employee then told Employee #2 "you will NOT get if for her, i already told her (my friend) to purchase her items and leave". At that moment we chose not to purchase ANY items. We walked out of the store at 9:02pm as other customers were still being checked out. I cannot believe how rude and verbally abusive that employee was. Because of her I will not shop at ULTA and will tell all of my associates not to go there as well. Instead, I purchased my items at a competitor store later that night. Unbelievable!

I went to the Ulta in Pembroke Pines, FL for salon services. I had missed an appointment, and the stylist doing my hair told me to come in the next day, that he would fit me in. I was having a root touch up and highlights with foils done. He was doing someone else's hair when I arrived, so I waited for a bit. He finally got to me and put the color on my roots. An HOUR and a HALF later, he took the color off. I asked him if that wasn't too long for the color to be on my hair and he assured me that the color stopped working after a certain amount of time. It was on so long because he was working on other people. Then, he put foils on my hair. My hair was a brownish color and I told him I wanted blonde (yellowish) highlights. I sat for an HOUR with bleach on my hair while he again worked on someone else. He never checked on my hair once during that hour!!!! When he finally took the foils out, I could see in the mirror that they were quite white. He said he was going to put a toner on and that I would have beautiful blonde highlights, exactly what I wanted, afterwards. Well, he put the toner on, and while it was on, asked me to pay because the store was closing. It was now 9:00 in the evening. I arrived there at 5:45!!!! I paid my bill which was $112 (this was the price after the advertised discount of 25% for highlights). When I asked about this discount, which was being advertised on a HUGE sign in the store, I was told that it only applied to certain stylists. Are you kidding me??!! I got the discount and left a tip. He then rinsed my hair of the toner, and thought I would leave with wet hair. I had him dry the front to see what it looked like, and to my disappointment, and after sitting with BLEACH on my hair for an HOUR, my hair looked no lighter than when I walked in!!! When he asked me if I saw the blonde, I told him not really, it looks the same. He assured me that if I washed it a few times it would be the blonde I wanted. Well, it's a week later and my hair is no lighter, but it is pretty dry and severely broken and damaged!!! I'm very disappointed with what he did!! I tried to call the salon today and was put on hold twice for over 10 minutes!! I WILL NOT be going back to ULTA and I would not refer them to anyone! If you want good color, save some money and go to the Hair Cuttery. I've never had them leave me with color on my hair for such a ridiculous amount of time, and they've never damaged my hair. Also, their products are pretty overpriced.

Most ulta cllerks remind me of catty high school girls, love how they ignore some customers while falling allv over others. They definitely judge by appearance go to sephora, they're fab!!

I am so fed up with Ulta that I've removed them from my bookmarks and blocked their 'promotions' which incidentally they are ALWAYS out of. I swore I would never walk into an Ulta store again after seeing a manager watch lines snake around the edge of a store and never once offering to jump in an help at the registers, even after being asked by customers to do so. This was at the Belmar/Lakewood location. So I finally decided to try again online after receiving this great promotion offer this morning for a beauty bag. First off, I could not get to a point where I could choose my free samples and pay. I tried on two different computers and 2 different operating systems. I called customer service and after holding for 5 minutes, a man came on a told me I needed to clear my cache. When I told him I had already done so, he said hold on and then promptly hung up. I called AGAIN and this time a woman answered. First she informed me that the 10 free samples were gone. I had received the offer in the morning and I ordered the very same morning. She told me we were in different time zones so the gift was sold out. I mentioned that it was unfair that if we were in different time zones we never got the offer and she blew me off! Then when she tried to log on to my account (after I spelled my name 3 times) she said I didn't have an account. Then she said 'oh, I added an e to your first name...sorry'. She got to the point where she was able to put in my payment information and put in the card number wrong TWICE despite me very carefully giving it to her. When she tried a third time she informed me that they were using a new system and she was shut out because there was a new fraud protection. She said she would be able to place the order next week!!! I told her NEVERMIND, I got on the Sephora and ordered the same items, got another great promotion, and paid. It took me all of 3 minutes. I am totally DONE WITH ULTA!!!!! I'll be sure to tell all my friends.

I find it very interesting that all of these "reviews" are almost identical in their content. If you're going to barrage a company with a negative letter-writing campaign, you might want to be a little more original with your thoughts and criticisms. Also, in response to the anonymous person that claimed to have worked at corporate, you might want to a) learn how to spell and b) learn the English language before you compose a thought. Hardly any of it made sense and it was as if you were using your internet's whatever-to-English translator. When I first started reading these posts, I thought, "Wow, Ulta must be really horrible". Then as I read on and realized the frequency of these posts and the similarities among them, I became skeptical.

I have been going to the Ulta Store in Hurst Texas for years now. About a year ago I met a super young Lady named Rachel who was a stylist there. She helped me find a great shampoo. She was so knowledgeable i decided to become a client of hers. I was so impressed with her talent i became a regular. I called up to the store on thursday june 2nd to request an appointment with her and they said she was no longer there. I asked where i could find her and a snarky women named Ruth said they couldnt tell me that. When i asked why she said it was corporate policy. i told her Rachel was the only reason why i came to ultas salon and now that she was gone i would not return. I am so sick of ulta letting go good employees. i dont know why she was let go nor do i care because i am sure thier reason is BS. i will also no longer shop at ulta because i have seen how the managers treat thier staff. it is appaling and you should be ashamed to have hired these women to run your stores. it says alot about what kind of company you are. i will be taking my beauty needs elsewhere.

Sending this on behalf of my wife. Went to the PA, location on McKnight Road. She simply went for some highlights and the "stylist" Missy did a unwanted and unexplained procedure to her hair. Which burned her hair and has since been breaking off, at the request of the salon manager Nikki she returned to try to the her hair deep conditioned ( which didn't help ). She did go online and send a e-mail to date has not been answered, and my feeling will never be answered. In my opion Ulta is just another cookie cutter company that is here to blow smoke up the back sides of consumers with staff that isn't skilled in the chosen trade. I have been on hold now for 45 minutes and counting. I guess nobody works at ulta. My wife now tells me there launching a new hair lightening treatment, My goodness I hope any women reading this really reconsider using this company, they really are bad and have no clue as to style hair. For anyone in the Pittsburgh area please go to the South Side and use UZORI salon, the ladies are freindly and they know what there doing, also the answer there phone and you get to talk to a real person. I understand that ladies hair is there identity so if you value it DON'T GO TO ULTA.

Last night my wife asked me to accompany her to the Ulta store at Golf Road and Skokie Blvd. near Old Orchard Shopping Center in Wilmette Il.. The help couldn't have been ruder. We basically got the run around and I am terribly disappointed because I though Ulta was a professional corporate company. How disappointing.

First of all, I shop Ulta all the time. I like the products they provide. In the store the clerks have always been helpful. One rainy afternoon I was on my way home in the rush hour traffic. I called and Kelly answered and I asked if they have a product. She put me on hold and returned to tell me that YES they did have the product in question. I replied o.k. please put one back for me. She said I will place it at the checkout counter. When I arrive and asked for the product the clerk behind the desk couldn't find it. I said, "It's o.k. I will go over and get it." Still no big deal... but when I went over there I couldn't find it. The clerk came over to help me locate it but couldn't find it and guess what????? She found Kelly and asked her about it and Kelly said OOOOPPPPPssss I made a mistake we don't have it. I don't even think Kelly looked when I called. I think she just said yes we have it and didn't bother to look. I can't stand LAZY IMCOMPETENCE!!!!!

Sephoria is better! they care about their customers

I will never shop at ilya again! I went in for a straight perm. The lady told me to wait 2 days before washing my hair because it wassuper curly. I waited two days washed my hair and the straight hair didn't stay it went right back to curly. I went back in to get a refund and the general manager refused. I shop at ulta all the time im a regular customer there. But ever since they switched managers the ulta in greenville sc has been crap. I called corporate and they have to forward to the regional manager so I still don't know if I will get my refund. But I am just extremely upset about ultas customer service. They are rude and don't care about the customers at all. I will stick with Sephora from now on.

I ordered online at Ulta.com they said they sent the order and gave me a tracking number. I checked the tracking # on found out it had been delivered. I didn't get the package. I called to see what they could do they said to dispute with my bank. How is my bank at fault when they did their job and paid. Ulta is the worst store I have shopped at. Other stores either refund or replace the package or at least do a UPS investigation but they refuse to do anything. Ulta needs to be shut down or force to do better customer service.

I am sick to death of Ulta's crappy service. I waited on the phone for 30 minutes and ran out of time, so I wrote an email explaining my issue and was redirected with zero confirmation that the email went through! Awesome! NOT.

I have been an Ulta customer on and off for several years. The quality of customer service has always been poor, in my opinion, in the two locations I shop at: Naperville on Washington St and Aurora Ave/New York Street. Both post misleading signs, such as 'Buy Two, Get One Free' in front of their shampoo and conditioning products, but the fine print states that it only applies to "finishing products". This is misleading and a common problem, as I have personally witnessed other customers checking their receipts and pointing out a shampoo or conditioner that they were charged for only to find out - after they had already paid - that the promo only applied to finishing products. If it's such a common problem, why not change your signage or have the cashier point it out to the customer before they ring up the product? It is a hassle to get a refund immediately after you have already paid and finalized the transaction. When this happened to me, I had to wait for someone else to ring up the refund because the cashier was unable to do so. The person I waited for was busy standing with two salon workers, gossiping about a coworker and customer...WHILE I STOOD WITHIN EAR SHOT! When I eventually interrupted the conversation and asked if she could help me, she acted annoyed! I work too hard for my money to be treated that way. I will no longer shop at Ulta. The locaal Walmart and Target stores have comparable prices, and honor coupons. I wish I had read some of the other comments on this site long ago. I thought I was just hitting the store on a bad day, and I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Little did I know, it is their store policy NOT to provide Customer Service.

I purchased Oscar Blandi at home salon for 25.00 - the sign in front of it stated - receive a free pronto dry shampoo ( with a picture of the bottle) with a 25.00 Oscar Blandi purchase - I double checked the size etc to make sure it was the proper bottle. I purchased several other items and when I got home, realized that I was charged 11.00 for the "FREE" dry shampoo - I called the store and spoke to OLGA the manager, she informed me that it was the wrong bottle - IT IS THE SAME BOTTLE ON THE AD - I informed her that her salesperson should of caught the mistake and now I have to spend another hour of my time returning these items - and I will return ALL of my 200.00 purchase due to her rude behavior - this is not the first bait and switch I have heard about with Ulta - I will never shop there again - OLGA was rude to me and told me it was MY fault ! IF I could of found a salesperson to help me while I was shopping, It would of helped ! Olga the manager hung up on me! DO NOT SHOP AT ULTA they do not need the business.
