I currently work for ups and can not stand the company or the union it uses. I was struck in the face by a falling package at work 2 nights ago and was cut open in 2 places on my head. While performing first aid, the shop stewards and supervisors find out I'm applying for supervisor. What am I told, oh if I want any hopes of becoming a supervisor, I can not file an injury report. So here I am with a possible skull fracture being told if I want to better my career, I have to go to doctor and pay for any propblems my self instead of workman's comp. Not first time they screwed me over either, almost broke my foot before too. Also heard a supervisor got hurt on job last week and he is not being allowed back into work so that they can finish his termination papers before he can get a chance to claim workman's comp. Screw ups, I may have to work there so I can at leasdt have a job, but you are a bunch of corrupt insert string of profanities. Never work for ups, the union and company both screw you.

i shipped a 30,000.00 shipment. When i called to get my shipment class and tell them what i wanted for insurance the person told me the class and where to type in my insurance value. my shipment left on dec 9 2010 and when the buyer got it the thing was damaged beyond repair. inspection of the equipment came in at 29,600.00 and they put the claim into ups. ups then calls the buyer of the equipment and tells them that i dont have any insurance and i would be out the 29,600.00. they said that i didnt write the value in the right place so they where not paying me the money and it was my loss not thiers and the letter stated they did do the damage but without me writing the insurance value in the write place they werent paying even know an ups employee told me where to type it which i did. ups must be able to damage other peoples shipments and get away with it, if i would have done this i would be in jail. good old corporate usa. iam in danger of go out of buisness do to i have to pay the buyer back in full.

I have two packages coming for me to fix my furnace with, one was sent overnight to be delivered tomorrow and the other had been scheduled for Monday 1/10/11, but the online system set it for early deliver today and it was that way all day until it reached the Indianapolis Hub. Then, it changed back to monday 1/10 - after I took a vacation day to be sure I was here when it was delivered so I could have my furnace back online tomorrow. I called corporate, I spoke with our hub and while everyone sympathized, nobody was willing to take that extra step to meet the new delivery date their own system set. They have no accountability whatsoever. I only have 10 vacation days each year and the value of one of those days far exceeds a full weeks pay in and of itself considering I earn 1 day for every 36.5 days worked. This is wrong, if their system has the ability to set new expectations and delivery dates and then change them back with no consideration to the recipient or their own schedule.It is my opinion that UPS is legally and morally obligated to ensure that it meets to obligations when they change the delivery dates and times - not to ignore the change as if it hadn't happened.

UPS HIRED MY SON IN AUGUST 2010 TIL DECEMBER 2010, I GUESS THIS WAS THE START OF THE SEASON WHEN THEY WOULD NEED EXTRA HANDS, BEFORE HIS HIRING A BACKGROUND CHECK WAS DID ON HIM THE BACKGROUND CAME BACK THAT HE HAD A SOME CHARGES ON IS BACKGROUND, BUT HE WAS HIRED ANYWAY AFTER THE HOLIDAY SEASON WAS OVER HE WAS TOLD TO RE-APPLY AND THAT IT WOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM THEY DID ANOTHER BACKGROUND CHECK AND THE SAME INFORMATION WAS ON THEIR WITH THE FIRST BACKGROUND CHECK NOW THEY TOLD HIM THAT HE COULD NOT WORK BECAUSE OF HIS BACKGROUND. IT WAS OK TO EMPLOYEE HIM FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON BUT IT IS NOT OK TO EMPLOYEE HIM NOW WHAT KIND OF CORPORATION IS THIS TO USE PEOPLE BREAK THERE SELF ESTEEM LIKE THIS. ALL HIS SUPERVISORS HAD NOTHING BUT GOOD REMARKS ABOUT HIM HE IS NOT A BAD YOUNG MAN THE TROUBLE HE GOT, HE DID A YEAR ON PROBATION.THIS WAS THE FIRST REAL JOB AND HE WAS SO PROUD TO BE EMPLOYED BY UPS. THIS IS FROM A VERRY CONCERN MOTHER.

Horrible company that will delay sending packages that are ahead of schedule to make thier "faster" services more appealing. I had a package arrive at a UPS center about 100 miles away from me early Friday and it hasn't moved since, it could have got here today (a dey earlier than the estimated delivery date) however they refuse to ship it til me until it. They also refused to hire me for seasonal work since a 30 min. drive wasn't efficient enough for them. All and all, screw the UPS.

My daughter was visiting friends and family in California, and on the day she left to come back to Arkansas she shipped a package, containing date sensitive food, using your three day delivery service at a cost of $57.73. The package shipped from Fremont,CA. on Dec. 14th 2010, it went about 15 miles south east to Sunnyvale, CA. then it went to San Francisco, about 50 miles north from Sunnyvale, on the second day Dec. 16th, it arrived in Oakland, CA. across the bay from San Francisco and about 15 miles north of Fremont, where it shipped from two days prior to that. From there it passed Arkansas and went into Kentucky arriving on the 16th. It arrived in Little Rock on the 17th (the scheduled day of delivery) The package was not delivered to our home until the 20th. SO, what she paid $57.73 for was three days late in delivery. Needless to say the Sour Dough bread that was in the package was molded. I had packages shipped from here to Fremont and other Bay Area Cities by Priority US mail and they arrived at there destination in three days. I will NEVER use UPS again. No direct person to complain to or find out what the problem is. I feel that my daughter should have a refund on this shipment.

1 star and that's only because there is not a zero star option! Paid 36.00 to get a package 2 day air due to travel plans and the day the package was due to arrive, it did not despite the customer service rep assuring me it was on the truck. The next day the same song and dance, "it's on the truck". Finally at 10:00 pm at night the tracking site updates with "THE PACKAGE WAS MISSED" See below. So now I am stuck between missing my flight and waiting all day to claim this package since they have until 9:00 pm to deliver or else risk leaving it unattended for 5 days in the elements. The customer service rep said " Have your neighbors get it"at I am new to town and don't know my neighbors nor should I have to explain this to UPS, as I made a purchase, paid the fee, and was guaranteed my package would arrive on 12/20. What does the word guaranteed mean anyway? Is 2nd day air really just code for special fee UPS gets to charge me to stress me out, ruin my travel plans, ruin my daughter's Christmas ? the service of your corporation is very poor. I have a delivery and at this time,3:25 eastern time, am still waiting for said package. this material is time sensitive. the manufacturer sent the package out to kentucky on monday dec. 12 , it is now dec 16, and I have not yet have my package. It came out of Secaucus which is less than 10 miles from the facility. You will probably do nothing with this but I guarantee you I will tell everyone I know about this mishandleing of the situation. 4 days is not acceptable for an overnight delivery.

I have been working with UPS as a Driver/Helper for the past 2 years I love the challage and the fast pace. But last year I was working with UPS and on Dec the 11th I was headed to meet my driver and I had this stabbing pain in my left flank. I turned around and went to my mother's home which was 2 minutes away, I told her something was wrong. I was in so much pain that I was taken to the emergency room after calling my driver letting him know what I was doing. I was diagnosis with a tumor on my kidney which the main artery was bleeding into my kidney, I was tranported to faixfax hospital for emergency surgery all along my family was letting UPS know that what was happening. UPS was told by my sister that I would not be returning to UPS the rest of the season due to the tumor. Upon returnig my uniform with a note from the doctor to my diver and a gift for him, I through everything was ok. But this year when I applied I was told I had a negative and that I could never work for UPS again, I asked why and was told because last year I worked a couple weeks and quit, which wasn't the truth at all. I even, this year took a letter showing what happened last year and all I got was a run around. Wow even with a doctor's excuse it doesn't make a difference. Now what do I do, I really enjoyed working with UPS.

UPS is a poor excuse of a company!!!They were paid to deliver a package and they lost it( no it was stolen)and all I was told was to get over it. The UPS in Montgomery AL wouldn't even look at their camera to see who took it. They don't care about customers all they are after is money. How come they can charge to steal from us and that is legal? Be wise DO NOT SHIP UPS Tell everyone to stay away.

You people couldnt do our job on your best day. You have no clue of the magnitude of our company. Millions of pkgs reach their destinations everyday. We have almost 500,000 employees and are 103 years old. There is a reason for that. Its easy to complain without walking in our shoes. We are world wide and blow FEd Ex away when it comes to service. Thats funny for being such a crappy company we got about 500,000 hits a week on our job site during the holidays. Think before you speak.

UPS is the worst place to get anything shipped from. I left a note on the door with my signature and the person still wouldnt leave my package. I am VERY upset right now!!! And I still dont have my package.

If there was a "0" Very Poor, I would select it. I come to notice on most of my UPS delivery encounters that there is always something that goes wrong.(eg: 1- The driver leaving the package in an open area that is accessible to the general public (outside of the residence, or they leave your package in the mailbox room, instead of dropping it by your doorstep (which is 20feet away from the mailbox), or 2- The lack of time respect, when they give you an estimated time of delivery, they don't usually respect it and go way over the estimated time. As if one can afford to waste their time to wait for that UPS driver to arrive. 3- Poor customer service system. There are no follow-throughs when a customer reports a concern. UPS has POOR business practices, at least for us here in U.S FEDEX tends to be prompt, professional and effective. Unfortunately, as a customer that orders stuff online, we don't get to choose the mailing carrier, but I wish, they would give us a choice between USPS, Fedex and UPS, UPS would be my last choice.

Please, can somebody tell me who to report a driver running and over and killing my little dog in my driveway, looking at him and then leaving without telling me. I watched him from my doorway stopping by his body, while I was keeping my other pets inside till he left. Elvis had just been put outside for a minute. He was my heart and on my lap or nearby constantly for eight years. I'm so heartbroken I can't stop crying even two weeks later. I spoke to his supervisor, Rudy in Ft.Walton Beach, who said he would get back to me after talking to the driver, but he won't answer my calls now. I'm a great grandmother in my seventies, and needed that little dog for companionship to love, and he could have lived another eight years my vet tells me if the driver had not been speeding in my long driveway in the country. We had warned him to watch out for our pets before and slow down. Our first driver who recently retired had delivered to us for the eighteen years we've been here without killing our pets. I did not even get an apology from this new driver. It's just a tiny black chihuahua dog to him, but he was my world and a considerable investment.

Dear UPS, your hiring manager here in pa. is very rude, or that man had been having a bad day. because i'm trying to get a job as a helper. and was told that when i get the e-mail sent to me, that i should follow it to the T! he didn't sound to happy and yeah i'm still wait for that e-mail!!!! and this 7hours ago. how's that for UPS help.

For the second time in less than two weeks I have had to contact ups about a package I was expecting. It turns out that in certain cases packages are turned over to the local post office for final delivery While this may be a good idea in some cases, this flintstone based delivery service does not give the updated information i.e. your shipment was turned over to local post office for final delivery. The tracking just stops Next time I use dhl or fed ex or beg the shipper to just use usps in the beginning unless this shipper can get a clue that we are now in the 21st century and update its system. ups needs a new company logo, one that displays its current business practice........the new logo, an ostridge with its head deep in the sand

UPS is the worse!!! I will never try and use them again. They suck and their customer service reps just keep saying "sorry" "sorry". UPS sucks dirt.
