My husband and I were on a 3 week vacation traveling from Oregon to Pennsylvania and back. While on this trip my husband was emailed documents to be signed and notarized in order to complete the sale of his late motherʻs house. He had been sent a UPS label with the documents for over night service and was told to return them as soon as possible. As we were coming into Gillette Wyoming I googled the UPS store on my phone. Tom tom was unable to locate the store so I called the number listed. A very nice person named Christina Geis answered the phone. She guided us to the store road by road and turn by turn staying on the phone with me while I called out her directions to my brother-in-law. My husband went in, they gave him an envelope for the documents, he handed them the label and we were done. They did not even charge us for the envelope. Thank you Christina for making a stressful moment so much less for us. You are the perfect example of real customer service.

First let me say that until recently, I have never had a problem with UPS, and my rating would have been 5 star. We now have a new delivery person. He has delivered my packages to a business address in an attempt not to have to go out of his way to deliver them to my home (where they were suppose to be delivered). His manager got him to stop that. After that, we have continued to have multiple problems. He has passed me on the road, stopped in front of me, and turned into a residence without a signal. He has thrown packages into the flower beds and broken plants. I emailed customer service about this, but received no response. The last straw was when he tried to deliver a package last week (Friday). No one was home and he left a notice on one of the vehicles in the drive, which I found by accident. The notice stated that he had made one attempt to deliver, and the next attempt would be the final attempt. He also gave two times for delivery, which would make us have to be home all day. Also he stated that the package had to be signed for by an adult, this was not true. My husband drove 15 miles to UPS and spoke with his manager. She seemed to be less than pleased, and told my husband that she would contact us after she spoke with him. That was Monday - this is Wednesday and we have had no word from her. The UPS delivery guy is afraid of dogs and particularly one of ours. This dog has never bitten anyone and our old UPS delivery man never had a problem with him. Since we know that the new guy has a problem, we always go out and retrieve our package (when he blows the horn) so the new guy does not ever have to leave his truck. Since he is suppose to bring packages to the door, he should be pleased with us not treat us in this disrespectful manner. There is no accountability --- PERIOD!!!

I think it's odd that I should pay for items to be packaged, and the employee at a UPS store just sets my stuff aside and gives me my receipt, expecting me to leave without seeing it packaged up and given a tracking number. Shady, shady, shady. That should never happen. It was birthday stuff, so I am assuming she wanted to open the items after I left and look for cash. I will never ship UPS again. She seemed so offended that I didn't trust her, as I waited until she served everyone behind me and THEN after much insisting, packaged the items in front of me, and attached a shipping label and handed me my tracking number. Hello? I have never met the woman before in my life. Why should I trust her? It's a business transaction, not a tea party. It should be done professionally! If there aren't enough employees to serve the people behind me, then that's too bad. I waited a long time and paid quite a bit more than I should have in the first place. I think that warrants her full attention from the beginning of my transaction until the end. That was really inconvenient and I left feeling completely put out. I hate to say it, but FedEX always has the best service and they would never do this. I'm sure of it. You've lost my business permanently. In the yrs. that I've lived where I do and have packages delivered, I specifically request for orders to NOT ship via ups/brown. DO NOT USE BROWN/UPS IN NW WASHINGTON DC. They are undeniably the MOST UNreliable, unfriendly, incompetent delivery service I've ever encountered. WELL, I EVEN SPEAK for My neighbors. brown/ups never delivers on time. Never rings the doorbell, never pays attention to the notes left on the door when packages are expected. Upon hearing from friends of acquaintances who know drivers that work for brown/ups have a quota. they must hurry. there is no use in using brown/ups for this reason alone. They lazy -in-a-hurry-drivers couldn't care less. God forbid there's an emergency or something of sorts. Perhaps... someone could ship medicine or maybe paperwork for a job deadline. Goodness.brown lives up to it's name. the color of doodoo.

DO NOT USE UPS. We generally request any and all vendors, clients and distributors to PLEASE NOT USE THIS MOST UNRELIABLE SHIPPING SERVICE. rush rush to deliver, but always a miss. The worst ever. I'm seeing a big write up in the future columns about delivery service. Poor customer service people ! What a job to deal with irate and annoyed customers due to the drivers' lack of responsibility. sad.

Every time I see the Ups truck pull up I cringe, The packages are always crushed and damaged. The drivers are in such a rush they just tell you to call this number and it takes months to try and get reimbursed. This company use to be just awesome, now I guess it has become all about the money for stockholders. There is no service any more, what little service is left is such poor quality and they charge so much. They should change their name to UP united parcel and drop the service because there is none anymore. I am done using Ups from now on I will request some other method for my shipping. Fed-Ex lately has been just awesome,I think they are the new leader in package delivery.

MY COMPLAINT STEMS FROM STUPITY AND LAZYNESS. OVE3R A MONTH AGO I HAD TWO PACKAGES FROM 2 DIFFERENT SHIPPERS. SENT TO MY HOUSE SOME HOW THERE WAS A MISTAKE ON ONE ADDRESS ONE HAD THE # 54 WRONG AND ONE HAD 56 CORRECT AND INSTEAD OF SAYING LIKE A NORMAL PERSON WITH A LITTLE COMMON SINCE LIKE EVERY OTHER DRIVER HAD DONE FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS WHO KNEW I HAD MOVE4D INTO THEW OTHER ADDRESS. BUT T6HIS SUPERVISOR TOOK IT UPON HIM SELF TO ASSUME4 THAT I MUST BE AT 54 EVEN THOUGH THE TWO PACKAGES HAD 2 DIFFERENT ADDRESS SO HE TOOK IT UPON HIM SELF TO LEAVE BOTH PACKAGES AT THE WRONG ADDRESS BECAUSE THAT WAS EAISER AND ADMITED TO ME HE HAD DONE JUST THAT BECAUSE HE SAID HE HAD DONE THATY A YEAR AGO WHICH WAS A LIE OR WE WOULD HAVE HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM BECAUSE I HAVE NOT LIVED THERE FOR ALMOST 5 YEARS. NOW HE ADMITED TO ME IT WAS HIS MISTAKE AND IF HE HAD TAKEN THE TIME TO DELIER THE ONE PACKAGE TO THE CORRECT ADDRESS IT WOULD SIMPLY BEEN WORKED OUT AND THERE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM. SO THEN I CALL UPS AND GUESS WHAT I WAs called a liar and was told i did not know what i was talking about that6 she had the proof right in front of her where the driver said he deliverd it which even after telling her i just got off the phone and randy vaughn told me it was a mistake she again to me not to keep lieing and again she had proof of where it was delivered because the driver wrote in the address even though he did not make the delivery to the correct address. i was not relly going to make a big deall about the whole thing until he accused the little fella who mowes my grass of being a thief abd sealling the packages. and now all of my packages i have to be home to sign for because he has stated it is a high crime area even though this is the first package that has disapeared in fifteen years.it gets better but i will leave the rest for ups because i think my gardner is going to sue ups for being accused of theft of somethintg he knew nothing about. and for slandering his bussiness he has worked so hard to build. any way even after knowing they made a mistake they still require me to do there work and i still have no refund after almost 2 months

UPS refuses to pay for a $1821.56 COD shipment that was delivered by their driver at 7:30 PM and left on the porch without collecting the CERTIFIED CHECK OR POSTAL MONEY ORDER.The consignee has not reordered the motorcycle parts and they are not available anywhere other then us being the manufacturer.UPS reps have stated that we will be pain but this has been going on since May 11.2011 and they have issued a check in the amount of $156.47 that I refuse to cash and accept as full payment.UPS states that if the package is not insured then as per there tariff all they have to pay is $100.00 plus the shipping charges,I DISAGREE as their tariff 34.2 states RESPONSIBILITY for COD.s.UPON DELIVERY OF EACH COD PACKAGE WILL ATTEMPT TO COLLECT THE AMOUNT ON THE COD TAG,IF COLLECTION CAN NOT BE MADE THEN UPS WILL RETURN THE PACKAGE TO THE SHIPPER.UPS DELIVERED the package and all we ask for is the amount on the COD tag and they refuse to do so.I would like to know when we file suit in our local court where is their department to accept the legal papers. Just received a package from UPS today and the box was ripped open on one side of the box. I can't believe the delivery guy just left it on my door step --- we we home eating dinner when it arrived. Upon opening the box, we are missing a Nazi bayonet knife that I purposely shipped UPS to make sure it arrived at our home safely. It was bubbled wrapped inside a box filled with high school memoribia. I am so angry. This was a gift to my husband from his uncle who served in WWII. My children are totally devistated by this. How can I explain this to them? If I had even thought for one minute that this would not make it to my home, I would have packed it in my suitcase home to California. I am completely disgusted and disturbed by this. Our tracking number is 1Z 863 E01 03 5978 3677. Please let us know what corrective action we can take in this absolutely pathetic situation.

BROWN ABSOLUTELY SUCKS!!! I placed an order online from a company on June 30th, 2011 but cancelled within 10 minutes of doing so online. I was told the next day, by this company that it was shipped already via UPS. I did not want this product. I told the company that I had cancelled it. I was told that it was too late to cancel and that I would get it July 5th or July 6th. I heard a truck pull up on July 7, 2011 at 11:20 am but I believed it to be the local mailman. I went to check the mail and there was a small box on the steps. The BROWN truck already took off. I wished I knew the direction as I would have chased the guy down. I am not blaming BROWN for the order I did not want but the unprofessionalism and lying that went on to have this small box picked up has been unbelievable. I called on this same day, July, 7 2011 at approx. 11:30 am to speak with an agent in order to have this package picked up. I told the agent specifically, that I wanted the driver to ring the door bell, as packages have been stolen from here before. I was told that it would be picked up between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm on July 8th, 2011. I was home the whole day. I happened to look out the front window about 12 noon and the BROWN truck was making a delivery right across the street from my house (at an elementary school). The BROWN driver existed the school driveway slowly and looked over at my house and then continued on his way. I should have gotten in my car and chased the moron. It was approx. 5:30 pm and I called UPS. The agent said, "Hold on" after I told her that I had no pick up. She comes back on the phone with the lie: "The driver is behind on his route today. You can expect a delivery anywhere up to 11:59 pm today". I hung up on her. Did she expect me to believe this shit? This is a holiday week (4th of July). I called back about an hour later and I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was on hold for 15 minutes. The supervisor came on the phone and stated that the driver was not behind and his shift was completed at 4:00 pm this day. She stated that no driver works until midnight. I told her that I was well aware of this and that the damn foreigner who lied to me should be fired. She stated that the manager at the site of where the driver works out of will call me on Monday, July 11th, 2011 to give me a window of when the package can be picked up. Shit, another window (maybe from 7:00 am until 8:00 pm). (Imagine having a job in this great economy and you can screw off but still be employed)!!! WOW! BROWN YOU ARE GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is totally unacceptable. I DEMANDED ANOTHER DRIVER TO COME TO MY DOOR. Any time I order online (fortunately I do not do this often), it is always BROWN that delivers. WHY IS THIS!!!! I DO NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS with these ASSHOLES ANY LONGER. About 3 years ago, this same driver (his supervisor is his best friend so this is pisa), dropped off a small package that was wide open with the packing slip missing. I went to the door immediately and saw the condition of the package. It so happens that this moron was making a delivery to the neighbor next door. I ran over as fast as my feet would take me. I asked him about the package. He states, we don't deliver open boxes. I said to him, I just received this package that was leaning up against the house wide open with the packing slip missing. He said, "What do you want me to do? I told him I wanted his supervisor's number as I wanted to make a complaint. He gave me the guy's name and phone number. This is how I found out that his damn supervisor was his bestfriend. Perhaps he gave him a raise that day. I think it was a Friday; don't they give bonuses and raises on that day? WHAT A GREAT PLACE BROWN!! YOU SUCK AND HOPE YOUR BUSINESS GOES DOWN LIKE MANY OTHERS HAVE. EVENTUALLY THIS AND EVERY OTHER COMPLAINT WILL GET YOU!! If more and more people are complaining, what goes around, comes around.

UPS lost my package that contained personal information and hopefully will turn up. The package was going to a location only 15 miles away. The hub reported that the packaged never arrived a maybe lost. I will never use UPS again if this package is lost for good. My identification is now being jeopardized. This is the third time this year that a package was lost and finally turned up weeks from the original delivery but has lost business for me because my delivery is late. Thanks UPS. As a past UPS employee I believe the quality nowadays is poor.

Absolutely no customer concern whatsoever. The employees at up are excellent as long as they are not required to THINK or PROBLEM SOLVE. I have missed 14+ package deliveries because of several LAZY drivers, incompetent customer service reps, idiotic distribution center managers and the UPS corporate structure which simply doesnt value the end customer. The drivers REFUSE to buzz my new condo, they are lazy and PREFER to drop the package off at the main office DESPITE my ship instructions that clearly state (ON THE PKG AS WELL) "DO NOT LEAVE W MGR". Then, I go to the ship ofc to pick up, the clerk and mgr refuse to give me my packages because my id address doesnt match the shipping address. UMMMM, i have my mortage paperwork and the name is the SAME. wth?!? I have 3 business, three homes and NO, I cant have a separate ID for each address, who the hell really runs this company?!? TODAY, i am switching all my accounts to fedex and usps... ill just pay MORE to be finished with these people. BTW, thanks for the 7 day old chocolate covered strawberries? Yep, left in a closed office in 95 degree heat. Not to mention, the engagement ring that was 4 days late... who cares that i waited two days for delivery, or drove 25 miles to be denied pickup with proper ID, or paid for OVERNIGHT service?!?

I suggest you DO NOT USE UPS under any circumstances. They are unaccountable, have no customer service, and could care less a package gets delivered once they have your money. It is virtually impossible to get any action on their part ... believe me, I have tried!

I sent a package towards the end of April, to my dad who would hold the package for me until I arrived because I was moving in with him. I arrived on the 24th of April, picked up my package, and opened it up to be disappointed that the television (only thing in the box) was broken. So, the next day, I took it to the local ups store where they gave me a phone number to call to get it shipped to the store where it needed to be shipped to "check it." Guess what? The address that they shipped it to was the same place where I had taken it before. Ok, no big deal, I understand there are certain steps that have to be taken to get things solved. I recieved my box back on the 27th of April, and they said that within three weeks I would recieve my check in the mail for my television. I said ok, and waited almost 4 weeks, thinking well if someone goofed, or it was being sent in three weeks, it may take a couple extra days, called and NONE of my paperwork had been sent to them NONE OF IT!!!! So then they had me call the store where I shipped it from, get them to send the information they needed. A week later when I still hadn't recieved my check, I called again, they still hadn't recieved the information, so I called the person from the store I shipped it from, they again while I was on the phone with them, faxed the information again. I called the ups 800 number again and they told me that they didn't know if they had recieved the information yet, put me on hold for almost an hour, checking back about every 20 minutes to see if I was still there, I think they were hoping that I would end the call and they could get on with their day. They said they had gotten their information and within the next few days I'd be getting my check. Called again the next week, still no check, this time I threatened to call the media and a lawyer. They told me yet again, they didn't have all the information. And they had no number for the claims dept, and couldn't transfer me over there, nor did they have an address or phone number for corporate, I told them that they needed to get their act together and get my check to me. The next week I called the media, and FINALLY got ahold of corporate, after threatening to bring the "customer service department" into it they gave me this address to put on my small claims paperwork 55 Glen Lake Parkway NE Atlanta GA, 30328, and didn't have a phone number for them. I did a reverse look up of the address to get the phone number and then got the 404-828-6000 number. Called and selected option 3, I don't really remember what option 3 is, but it was either that or 4 (again I was so angry at that point I just wanted to talk to someone who spoke english). I talked to a guy on the phone, he said someone from a different office will be contacting me later on, hopefully they do. I've been waiting long enough, next step is going to small claims court, and I will be asking for over the $300 it was insured for due to all the phone calls I've had to make, at least 20, and all the agrivation, fustration, and the cost for the court stuff. I mean it I've had it, and WILL NOT be using ups for future purchaces, it looks like my TV got kicked or something small and heavy dropped on it, it's flat screen is spiderwebbed out from a circle.

I am very disgusted after reading these posts. My husband works at UPS. He works long hours, misses family gatherings and bends over backwards to try and help the customer. He works in miserable heat with no A/C in a brown truck. All of his customers want their packages before they even ship. He busts his tail everyday and most of the time noone even says thanks. Everyone complains that they make too much money while most of them couldn't make it a day working for UPS. Come on people, can't you realize people make mistakes and everything can't be perfect. Fed-Ex makes mistakes too. In fact, I am sure your company isn't perfect either. Why can't we all just get along.

I HAD A PACKAGE SENT BACK TO VICTORIA SECRETS STORE MIND YOU THE VICTORIA SECRETS STORE GAVE ME A LABEL TO SEND IT BACK WITH .I WENT IN TO UPS HAD IT SENT BACK AND THEY MADE ME FILL OUT A SEPERATE PAPER WITH THE BAR CODE AND HOW MANY ITEMS WHER IN THE PACKAGE IT SUPPOSIVELY GOT SENT BACK RIGHT .WELL COME TO FIND OUT VICTORIA SECRETS CHARGED ME 5.99 FOR SENDING IT BACK AND THEY RESENT THE PACKAGE TO ME BECAUSE THE UPS STORE MESSED UP . I CALLED AND TALKED TO A MANAGER NAMED ALEX MIND YOU HE STARTED YELLING AT ME SAYING IT WAS NOT THERE FAULT IT WAS MINE AT THIS POINT I RAISED MY VOICE BACK AND REMINDED HIM I AM A CUSTERMER AND HE NEEDS TO REVIEW HIS MANNERS WITH CUSTOMERS .NEEDLESS TO SAY I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THAT UPS STORE EVER AGIAN HE SHOULD BE FIRED FOR YELLING AT CUSTOMERS AND BLAMING THEM FOR HIS WRONGFUL DOING . I ALWAYS have a problem when anything is shipped via UPS.I have to stay home all day and keep calling the 800 number to "track a package" because the new drivers or covering drivers never can locate my home...Like yesterday for example, it was around 5:00 PM and my package hadn't come yet. So I called the 800 number AGAIN and spoke to a rep.Who referred to me as the famous Linda Marticek.Nice huh?Well anyway,he informed me the driver said my address was invalid and they needed a new one.I have only lived in the same house for 65 years!! He said he would call the locale depot and see if the driver could bring back the package.About 15 minutes later, a rep. from the Saddle Brook depot called and told me the driver refused to try again.He was on time with his other deliveries and I would disrupt his time table!! I will NEVER use UPS for anything again!! If a seller only ships UPS I will not buy from them again..

544 S. Indian Creek Dr. Stone Mountain, Ga. 30083 Some one have been knock over my mail box for 2yrs. straight. Not laterly! Now I'm experience mail come up missing. Sometime I come home mailbox door is wide open. Numbers of other reasons as well! I file a report with Dekalb Co. Police Dept. & Postal Services on West Mountain Pl. The 121 Marta Bus stop at that location. My claim was filed, stamp, approved, & I was giving a # to call Postal Inspector 404-608-4500. But, the # was no long in service. Seem like every where I go, I get the run around. People playing a lot of cat & mouse game! It very dispectiful. Please a very clean investigation will very much be apprecaite.
