I hate working at the willington ct. site , I want to transfere to Mildale but he little guy manager with one eye shop manager wont allow it . he wants his weekends free and turns off his phone at noon on saturdays and can never be reached until Tuesday at 10am when he shows up. I HAVE BEEN A TRUCKER FOR MANY YEARS AND I HAVE USED MANY OF YOUR SITES FOR LABOR AND TRIES AND STUFF. EACH TIME I HAUL THRU CT. I HAVE TO SAY THE VERY BEST BY FAR IS THE MILDALE SITE ... I TRY NOT TO HAVE TO STOP AT THE OTHER SITE EAST ON 84. MY LIKES IS MILDALE.

I have been with the Willington CT. Shop for a few years but along with someother employees we have been looking to find other work. The shop manager has changed from a hard guy with a army background and his ( Teach By experieance ) attitude to . I can do what I want to do because I am the boss. I went to get a newVerizon phone and I was asked after filling out the paperwork for the TA discount to show two and more forms of ID and a Bill to prove that I am the person who will be not only having the cell phone but to make sure that the phone bill will not be going to another address. I was later told that he lives in Vernon CT. and has his bills sent to his girlfriends mother home in another part of the state. Are we not able to get our discount because of these strange things he has been doing. taking very long lunches and leaving and two pm on Saturdays and asking not be bothered all weekend unless it was very important. He is not liked by most of the truckers and he is always angry and upset. He has very bad personal problems and he was able to take care of business but now he has changed. I DO NOT WANT TO LOSE MY JOB I WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO WORK FOR T/A BUT SOME OF US JUST CANT GO ON WORKING FOR THIS GUY THAT HAS MADE A MESS OF THE BUSINESS . During hurricaine irene, my fiance and i were stranded at the petro in bordentown, nj. The storm knocked out the power, but petro kept the doors open for restroom use. Mike Polachek, the area field manager gave us a ride to an area restaurant and back because commercial vehicle use was prohibited. Talk about going above and beyond for customer service! To put it simply, we will be loyal customers from now on! Thanks again mike. You rock!

i am a former employee of ta. i worked in da shop as a diesel technician for 6 yrs. i have been to all 3 classes and am certified in hvac, electrical, and brakes. i recently applied to return to my job. the manager of the ta in meridian mississippi called me in and told me i had the job so i left my present job. i took my drugscreen and passed, i began orientation and when i got ready to take my online test i could not get into the system for sum reason. come to find out, the manager sum years back, darrell sowards,(my reason for leaving in the first place)has put me on the no rehire list. the manager that is there now, told me that i was in the clear and was not on this list before i even took the drugscreen and began my orientation. so he tells me now that he is trying to fix it and then he will give me a call. i have been waiting a month now and everytime i call he blows me off. i am currently unemployed because of this situation and i dont feel that this is fair. there should be something done for this type of action. why would u have a man give up where he had employment and when u get him u toss him out with no explination. can sumone please help me. my name is sedric walk, out of meridian ms. 6016926700.....thanks

I am a former employee of TA I have been through four manager in two years in .. I was a shift lead in the restaurant .i was fired because apparently I didn't put a ticket in correctly or I cashed it out the wrong way which made it seem like I was stealing thts what they told me.. I have never stolen from them I never been written up but one time .. Never gt introuble one of that.. But rather that write me up or suspend me they fire me after I had driven almost an hour too work. Nevermind the fact that they have employees who come up short onthere register,who are pot heads ,meth heads and pill poppers. They fire me they don't set me down and talk to me bout they fire. Even if I am a lead that's doesn't mean that I don't make mistakes if that's the case they should have fired the asst manager when he was arrested or the cook when he was arrested. Mind the fact that the cook sometimes yells out the window cursing or that half the employeed there are either relatef or couples. Excuse me I'd I sound bitter I do. It's ok if I'm fired for ot following the company rules, but with all the allowances everyone else was given I didn't gt crap. I find it odd that the girl who quit and wasn't suppose to be rehired can take my position was rehired earlier this year and winds up taking my position.or favortism goes a long way..

my daughter is an employee at TA in Cartersville,ga at the taco bell/pizza hut express. They recently had a new district manager for the last 3 months and he instituted new guidelines for the pizzas to be pre-made before anyone has ordered them and if they stay in the window for longer than 20 mins they throw them in the trash, most days they throw 30-40 pizzas in the garbage. the company has been losing money for the last 3 months and they have accused employees of stealing food and now they have had their hours cut almost in half by the morons in management...why cant these idiots see that they are throwing their $6.00 pizza profit in the trash...as a customer i would want a fresh pizza made for me anyway..not buy one sitting in the window even for 5 mins.The moron's name is George district manager for Cartersville, GA -T/A. He should really rethink his career.

Visited the location in lafayette,la & the waitress (betty) was awesome!! My husband & i went in there& neither of us were having a good day but she came along with the friendly smile and made our visit more personal& better!!! There should be more workers like her in many resturants...needless to say she not only has 5 stars but 10...for goin above & beyond! This took place on 8-11-11 when i be in the area again i will defiently re-visit this location...keep it up betty!

The ta shop in duncan sc is a joke. Tried to get ac charged 3 different days while there. The ac guy was always gone, or on break. 3 ac machines and nobody to work them. Went back at night and no ac guy. Guy there said" looks like you will have to sweat it out and smiled. No rest rooms in shop to use. Got grease on my boots walking floor of shop. A new meaning to hole in the wall

I am also a former employee of T.A in Amarillo, Tx, I myself have been having promblems with getting paid the hours I have worked. I started June 3rd so I had 10 days on the pay period worked. On payday June 21st I called my card and I was only paid 149.21 for 10\8 hour days! When I contacted the manager and the accounting department neither one of these people could give me a straight answer to what was going on, nor did they give me a check stub for the pay I did receive. I have calcuated my hours over and over and what they are trying to pay me just does not add up with my pay rate. How is this company still in bussiness??? I would just like to get the money I worked for and a copy of my ck stub, and clock in\out sheet. They think they are going to cheat me they have another thing coming!!!

I know that TA/Petro probably never read much less do anything about any of these valid complaints. I have called in several times but nothing is ever done about it. I guess profits are number 1 and customer service is number 5. Arogant. My complaint once again is about the Petro #312 in Knoxville, TN. This place is a zoo! I'm not sure who the general manager at the shop is but both of the assistants are pathetic. The first one named Shannon couldnt talk to me right away because he was on his cell phone. I left and returned later in the evening and tried to speak with Robert, the other assistant. I have never met a more rude and arogant person in my life. He must be doing favors for someone at the coroprate level. Robert cannot be 18years old. But is rude enough to tell me the problems I am doing driving my truck. I am 53 years old and have done this driving thing for more than a few days. I am so proud that TA/Petro has Robert to let there customers know what we are doing wrong. Like I have said before, I have called 3 times to the corporate office. I stopped there earlier today and there was Shannon on his cell phone still. Talk about losing touch with the people who pay your salary. From this day forward I will never stop at either a TA or a Petro. There coroprate people stands behind those who run away business. Therefore for me it isn't a Knoxville problem it is a Coroprate problem.

I have worked for T.A since 1999. As with all the employees that work for T.A i get a $2.00 diduction from my pay check every other tuesday for drinks, today i got a coffee from the fuel store n was asked to pay for a cup by security, mind you he only asked for .27 cents and i was confused as to why do we have to pay for a cup if we already get a deduction from our paycheck!!!! Security said it came from the store manager and he was only doing his job...What is the perpuse of getting a $2.00 deduction if we still have to pay for a cup!!! Would'nt a cup be included with our drink? Can any one please send out an answer!!! Mind you i have been very happy with T.A just confuse with that little thing that happened....

the ta at burns,wyo. was my daughter's dream to work there she never worked at a job before and she went and aplied at the buck horn got a waitress job her shift was souposed to be from 4pm to 10:30 pm but she never got home be for 3am whitch was very hard on her because she had to go to high school the next day.she went to put her 2 weeks notice in last night a the general manager katie fired her and hold her to get the hell out not come back shes not even allowed to by gas for her car there eather thats fine luckly theres other places to by gas. i do think it was professnal of katey to cuss my daughter out no mater how made she was.none of my family will go back there for anything again.

This is a formal complaint for the Travelcenter of America addressed in Burns, Wyoming. Not but yesterday a friend of mine who worked at the Buckhorn went to tell the general manager that she was going to quite. She'd put in her two weeks notice on June 5, 2011 and her general manager fired her on the spot with apparent anger and told her to leave the property immediately and to never return for any reason. As of now and the days ahead, she is not allowed to dine at the Buckhorn nor is she allowed to use the Travelcenter of America addressed in Burns, Wyoming. She has been wrongfully banned due to the event that her general manager used violent language to fire her as well as inappropriate behavior. The general manager has also been seen as a favoritist, being considerate to a select few. Please re-asses the staff at the TA in Burns, Wyoming for it not only has a bad reputation but many who have worked there have been wrongfully fired due to the bias of a general manager and have been harassed by fellow employees.

I stopped at the T/A in london,OH.at 11:15 p.m. and went in to eat, it took the waitress being told 3 times just to get a glass of tea, and took other orders before mine then when the food was ready it sat under the heat lamp for 10 minutes before she even got to it. then instead of serving the food she put it on a tray and it sat there for 5 minutes while she gabbed with the cook. at that point i walked out ( during the whole time the manager was standing there not caring that they were losing customers. The way I see it apparently the drivers that bust their but all day have to wait for the bull session to end in order get something to eat. When the waitressess and managers figure out that the drivers are more important than their bull sessions they may not have so many walk out on them, and they may just make some money in tips. As for me I will not stop at another T/A again there are other places that I can eat at and even get served hot food.
