I was totally upset when I walked into a TA restrant on Mother's Day and saw a sign saying Happy Fathers day! What a way to let the backbone of America to feel on their day! Why not wait till the day after? You have little respect for those that carried you and raised you! And let us wait to see the menu for Fathers day! You have lessened your quality of meat and food but raised the prices. Your chopped steak taste so nasty I don't see how you can serve it! I have hauled everything you own at one time or another. But the respect you show the drivers any more is none! We built you up for you to walk on us now! I hate the fact that the company that I drive for only uses TA or Petro! The filthiest truck stops in America! I am proud to be a truck driver but I am also ashamed of how everyone treats us! Keep up your poor quality and soon only Pilots Loves. And Flying J's will remain!! Back at you !

By means of this letter I would like to thank you for taking the time to review my complaint regarding my termination of employment with TA, in Eloy AZ. On 4/23/12 I received the notice that my position was eliminated because an outside vendor will provide porter services to TA. No notification in advance was given to me. I simply received the termination of employment letter the same day that I was fired. Under the circumstances described above, it seems that TA management have failed to comply with the TA code of business conduct and ethics that reads, under Section II – Work Environment – “employees deserve to feel respected, satisfied, and appreciated”. Currently I do not feel respected, satisfied, nor appreciated after more than 5 years working for TA with several benefits that now have suddenly gone!!. Under Section XII of the TA code of business conduct and ethics it is outlined that I have the obligation to give the Company my complete loyalty, but it seems that as a devoted employee I did not deserve the same loyalty in return, which is so unfair. I know you are not failing to comply with the law, but as I discussed above I think you have failed to comply with TA internal code of conduct, which is detrimental for the Company reputation. I truly hope that this type of proceedings can be reviewed in the near future.I would like to have TA as a reference of attractive/secure job opportunity where old employees (as me) are not afraid to be fired without notice in advance and without offering any alternative, but resignation. Sincerely, Pedro Gonzalez (pegomca@hotmail.com) Former TA employee

The truck shop in Walcott,Iowa needs attention.I took my truck in for a oil change and now I have to buy a new oil pan.The "Tech" stripped the pan plug threads in the pan taking out the plug. What really gets me is they then collected payment for a filter change/ grease job. When the order was for full p,m, They actually just costed me big money and still got paid for it. The second shift at this location is not knowledgable, sloppy, and generally does not care. It would be nice if they would pay for half the repair, or pickup the tow bill. That I now have getting my truck towed out of their shop to a freightliner dealer....

I HAVE RECENTLY BEEN LET GO OR RATHER NOT SCHEDULED SAME THING REALLY, I WAS A COOK AND A DAMNM GOOD ONE AT THAT AT THE TA IN WAPAKONETA OHIO, PROBLEM THERE , TOO MANY ILLEGAL MEXICANS, THE ENTIRE KITCHEN STAFF ARE MEXICANS NOW, THEY GET FREE HOUSING FREE MEALS, NO UTILITY COST, PAID WELL 6 DAY WORK WEEK ALL OF THEM ARE ON SALARY EVEN THE DISHWASHER LOL YEAH RIGHT DISHWASHER ON SALARY HMM GO FIGURE!!THEY HAVE LOST A GREAT COOK BUT THEY ARE TOO DAMN SELFISH, ANYWAYS ANY OF YOU TRUCK DRIVERS THAT HAVE STOPPED IN THIS TA AND I COOKED FOR YOU I ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH!! I WAS THE COOL TALL BLONDE LOL!!

I was recently an employee of Travel Centers of America in Greenland New Hampshire.I loved my job as a breakfast line cook.Being a truck driver myself as well as a cook I decided to take the cooking job to help improve food quality and driver appreciation. My problem was my General manager.Food safety and profesional kitchen ediquet were not her strong suit. She did not wear a hair cover nor gloves nor safety shoes on the line while she told everyone else what they needed to do.Her unprofesional demener when addressing other employees as well as wait staff left alot to be desired.Unfortunatly she is still employed but I hope she will be replaced by someone with appreciation for how hard people work to service the drivers of this country.

The cashiers at your 505 Truckers Lane, Bloomington, IL location refused to run my American Express card manually for a presale of $300. When explained that the magnetic stripe was worn off and that it would have to be manually ran two of the cashiers refused to run the card with just the explanation that "they" run it through a preauthorization process and refuse to process the card manually even after exprressing that their location was the third location today that we had been to. POOR service and then women seemed to care that a $300 sale was going across the street to Pilot. we notified American Express of the time wasted and treatment received. We also notified the location in question that a complaint has been issued to American Express and one as well to Corporate office, sales manager didn't seem to care. Never asked for my information. Look for to hearing from you, Martin J Mayer, MJM Auto Transport LLC 608-208-0198 Cell 8-5 CST ONLY

I was recently fired from my part time position as a porter. My reason for termination, no call no show. Make sense right? Well that's what the paper work will say. You see I work full time and had this part time job to help bring in a little more income to get my wife and i out of debt. I provided not one but two schedules to the managers so that they could know which days I was available to work. At the beginning of the year I looked at the schedule and noticed that I had been put on a Thursday and Friday night graveyard shift, the problem being that I had to work Sunday morning at my fulltime job. I approached the Asst. Manager with this conflict stating that doing a quick turnaround like that was going to be easy and his response was "Yep, it's gonna suck." Instead of looking at the schedule I provided and seeing that Saturday was highlighted, stating that I can't work, he ignored it. In that situation I had to call in sick and lie. The following Monday I went in and apologized to the Manager for lying to her about that Friday. After that event I filled out a calender for an entire year stating which days I can and can't work and put it in plain english so that we would not have another incident. Last week I went into to speak with the Manager about the following schedule and told her that I was available to work Saturday through Tuesday and Wednesday until 8 pm. Last night I got a call from the porter that was working the 2-10 shift, he called me at 10:45 pm asking if I was coming into work, I resonded "No, I have to work in the morning, they must have messed up the schedule." Well this morning I get a call from the manager, she says to me "I see you didn't show up to work last night, I'm going to have to let you go because our schedules conflict to much." The problem with that is I didn't know that I was scheduled, and I didn't check the schedule because I told her the week before that I was working Thursday through Saturday at my full time job. After this she proceeded to tell all the other employees that I was fired because I pulled a no call no show. So either A) she scheduled me, ignorning both schedules that I provided, because she is incompetent, or B) she scheduled me to get rid of me. Either way I was wrongfully terminated from this job. This is just the tip of the iceburg as far as this TA goes. The managers talk behind everyones back, blame things on people to get them selves to look better, start rumors and blame them on someone else, and do not follow the 2nd section of the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics that ALL employees are required to follow. No wonder why they have such a high turnover rate. Corporate needs to start training their managers better because this seems to be a running trend from what I've read on this webpage.

I am a former employee of the TA in Morris, il. I can remeber Romines owned it and Steve Miller was the Gm, mund you orobably one of the best bosses I ever had, he was fair and cared about his staff and made sure his staff was happy! After TA took over the place started falling apart but Steve managed to keep it going bring customers in makeing sure everyone was happy! when new management came in buisness went down and employees unhappy! I can remember loving my job the customets and it was exciting to go to work its really sad what has happend to the place no more happy faces no one wants to go to work! new GM does nothing but cause drama discuses issues about employees, very unprofesional! The GM there is more concernd about how to create issues with other employees then making sure the customers.are happy! Ive seen them let go of great employees, employees that customers loved! Just because she didnt like them! Save the place and get a new GM! One that is concernd about the customers and can treat all staff equally not one that picks favorites just cause they gossip! Someone that is a boss should not do these things not just anyone can be a boss! its takes a person that can treat people equally even if they have there favorites someone that can controle there self and just cause things arent going there way nit to take it out on employees this causes unhappy employees which causes unhappy customers!

My name is Rob, i am the shop foreman for Western Flyer Express. If you were to look up our Access Acount you would see that i do a lot of buisness with T.A. and Petro. Now tire pricing for used and recaps are fine, overall work is ok. I have to allways make the decision that all the work they get from us is tires, jumps, and batterys. It bothers me that when you sign on for an access account you are realy buying into the name of T.A and Petro, but now come to find out that different locations get to pretty much make up their own rules and go to the beat of their own drum, that is not what we signed up for. If we had known that from the beginning we would never have gone for it. Not to mention that their mechanics need better training. I have never been a fond believer in cert's, any one can get a piece of paper that says they can wrench, but that generally speaking they cannot. I like to hire guys that are trainable, i wish the same went for your organization's. Not saying everything is bad cause it's not, we all have room for improvement, especially at gaston indiana.

Regarding the Petro/TA OH sites, i am really confused as to why the lube techs and mechanics do all the hard work and make ur company so much money but the cashiers and foremans get all the bonuses, free meals and the perks? As far as im concerned if they dont work on the trucks y should they reap the rewards?? Those men in the bays work hard at what they do!!

I JUST STARTED WORKING FOR TA AND I WANTED TO LET YOU GUYS KNOW THAT I REALLY LIKE IT HERE. I JUST CAME TO PENN. FROM NEW YORK AND I REALLY LIKE IT HERE TA IS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK. THANKS BOB

I have been too three different T/A. For repairs to my semi, the frost has for a bad shake in the front end. We were told by the shop the our king pins were shot and needed replaced. This was a fri evening, we knew the we were not getting them fixed before Monday. We drove it back to columbus oh to our repair shop. They checked it out , we roof them what the YA said. They checked it out to and only found that we just needed new tires? The se ons time was for a battery issue we were having, again at a different TA they checked it out told us we need four new batteries. They did replace all four, I ask if everything was good told yrs everythingwas all good. I noticed the our volt gauge did not full charge. Three days later when the temo was over a hundred degrees. Our truck had battery issues again. This time the petrol was the closest . They were called, we waited in the heat. They came and told us. That one of the new batteries has melted the cables and the post came out of the too of the battery. We called the TA that dis the workwas told too make sure the bill went to them. Made sure that the petrol guy new it gave Jim all the information even gave him a copy if the TA bills. Well a week later swift( the company we drive for) have us the bill from petro Last was just a few days ago. We again was at TA, this time it was for our AC going out. bjt first we asked if they had a new ac compressor, was told yes and they had experience mechanics to fix it. After they checked the hole system out. We were told that is in the dash or the switch and they can't fix it. Again we took it to our dealer that does all our work. Upon checking it out also they said that the compressor needed replace, the same part that I told the TA mechanic thatits what i thought has wrong. Do what is up with your shops do they not want to work on a transgendered womens truck. Is that what is going on here or is your shops just that lazy that they just don't want to work? I would be curious as to why this is

I stopped at the TA in Rockwall, Texas and had to listen to the cashier complain to another emplyee about how she wasnt going to put up with the truck drivers attitudes anymore. After 3 or 4 minutes I was allowed to pay for my cup of coffee. I then went to the Burger King inside the store hoping to get something to eat? After seeing the rediculously high prices on the food, and being informed that Burger King no longer had the "dollar menu, I left and drove 1 1/2 miles up the westbound access road to the "regular" Burger King (the dollar menu was happily provided there) and bought the "value meal" there for 5.89 compared to the 7.39 that was being charged at the TA?? I feel like the TA is ripping us off here? Patrick Barnett 6005440025934258
