On October 28th I went to the pharmacy at the Niagara Falls Boulevard Tops in Niagara Falls(LaSalle)to have a prescription filled. I had called in six prescriptions the day before and had to take in my prescription for MS Contin because you cannot call in this prescription. I pick this prescription up monthly from my doctor and bring it in to be filled. What have you done to the finest pharmacy in Niagara Falls? It's a disaster. I am disabled and had to sit on a chair for well over an hour to get this prescription filled. It gets worse every month. One disaster after another. I have only stayed with Tops pharmacy because I worked at Tops Headquarters for years and have a loyalty to Tops & the founders. You are forcing me to go elsewhere. I have dropped this prescription off and they have said it would be ready in an hour;gone for dinner for two hours and came back only to find out that it was misplaced and not filled and told to come back again. It's too hard for me to go and come like this to pick up a prescription. What ever happened to the great customer service at this pharmacy? It used to be 10-15 minutes if you brought in a prescription to be filled. I know many Niagara Falls people that have transferred their prescriptions from Tops Pharmacy;do you wonder or ask why? Does anyone even care? Your new software is user friendly on the phone but what is it doing to walk-ins? Sick & disabled people need medication the most and your pharmacy is no longer customer friendly to these people. I am told the software is the problem. The pharmacists and employees at the pharmacy are just wonderfull but you need to fix this problem....it's just awfull.

We'll I had to ask a friend to use this computer. But i been coming to tops for 25 years and especially naigara st. I love this store. But lately your new people that cash is always talking to eachother and I think that is unprofessional of them to be doing this on working time. I wanted to say that I brought some grocery and they over charge me So I went back and spoke to ms Rosa F and she help solve my problem and the best thing out of everything is she had a big smile and said what can I do for you to make you come back and I said can you fix my overcharge on my receipt. So I walk out happy and you need more people like Rosa. Thanks Fernando

My receipt from the Henrietta store said that I had earned a gasoline discount of $.10 per gallon - valid until October 16. Two weeks later, I went to the nearest Tops gas outlet (Spencerport - about 20 miles away), and learned that my account had $.00 available discount. What a con job (incompetence or dishonesty??)!! ...Thanks anyway - back to Wegman's for future purchases (very reminiscent of previous clerical and computer errors experienced at the Greece store during the '80s and '90s). You folks have a steep uphill battle to even get in the game around here!!

Since Tops took over Quality Mkts, my shopping experience has been disappointing. I'm glad they kept the store open, but their customer service (manager & corporate) is not as good as Quality was or Penn Traffic was. A simple product like half gallons of white vinegar, they will not stock and carry. They must find it cheaper to pour bulk shipments into gallon jugs. They have never marked the aisles properly. They promised to retain former employees, but get around it by cutting their hours. Williamsville deserves a better "quality" store.

I am a Tops Market shopper and I am HIGHLY disappointed with your yogurt selections in the dairy department in ALL YOUR STORES. With all the name brand yogurts that you carry, you do not give shoppers all the varieties they have. I buy yogurt all the time. Yoplait has more flavors than the ones you carry in the stores. Please widen the selections of all the name brands you carry. I am sure I am not the only one who will appreciate a wider selection of yogurt. This practice is also true for such products as Cremora liquid creamers. Remember, variety is the spice. You don't have to have all of them at once, but why not rotate varieties from month to month? I would like a reply to this query and you may send it to: bigsby722@yahoo.com. Thank you.

I went to your store in Penn Yan this past Thursday 9-30-10, to purchase chicken. I paid with my debit card as usual and the next morning while checking my bank account I find the debit was taken out twice. After phoning my bank they said Tops would have to fix it. I went Friday waited in line, as usual, and the young girl called the manager, Vicki R. over, I told her what happened only to have her respond by saying "it's not our problem it's yours and the bank". What??? I said it is your store your transaction numbers, your machine, and again I get not our problem. Okay, so I will never shop in this joke of a store agin. Not only is it FILTHY, it doesn't carry all the products, the employees are rude, prices are very high. I can drive to Geneva and find the same products cheaper, why would that be?? We may be a small town and a big tourist attraction that dioesn't give your company the right to rip us off. This store is so sad you should be embarrassed to put your name on it....oh wait, you haven't it still says P&C!! What does that tell everyone? Check into your store and your wonderful managers that work there. You'll feel like the rest of us. If there was a double digit 0 on your rating scale that is what I would give you.

I don't shop at Tops Markets. I was going to start, but when I saw on the news this week that you will not honor the agreement that P&C had with the CNYSPCA to supply food to them I changed my mind. There aren't only people who are struggling to make ends meet but the local shelters are over crowded and need any donations they can get. You should be ashamed of yourselves. There are people who are struggling that donate food to the CNYSPCA. A big corporation like you should be donating and honor the agreement that P&C had, but of course, its all about the money or nothing else.

this store in troy pa. is the poors run store i have been to the management lets the coustmomers stand there at the register for 15 mins.or more and they have been called several times 3 of them just set in the office they could care less the poor teller feels bad for us. this has happen more then once they carry turkey hill ice cream i ask for a flavor called chocolate marshmellow they refuse to get it but oder lemonaid suday that sits there on the shelf. they run a special and are always running out all the mangement need to leave get some one that wants to work

Mike .....I agree with you! Tops is known to treat their employees "THE TOPS WAY"--VERY VERBALLY ABUSIVE.....Just keep praying for karma!!

Why hasn't your disgusting enterprise crumbled yet? How dare your company email me today with ads. I worked at a Tops gas station for 2 years and whenever Tops policy became a problem for customers, I became the scape goat. It becomes so bad that employees getting paid minimum wage end up working as hard as they can to counteract Tops negligence simply because they are tired of getting yelled at for it by customers. This makes every employee despise Tops in the deepest areas of their soul. Tops is laughable. For over a year they had a system at the gas station where they left post-pay buttons on the pump, but denied the option to customers. It gets worse though: if a customer pressed this button, the system would lock for a few minutes straight and every customer without fail comes in to complain and staff has to apologise (or explain that Tops is a heaping pile of...) and WAIT minutes for the pump to clear to continue. Tops also has a policy where gas station employees must stop pumps on customers who try to use their discount on more than one car. This means that good customers who spend over $1000 in the store and try to get a minor gas discount could have their pumps stopped on them (which also using their points up since it is one use only even if it gets stopped on them). Tops thanks big spenders THIS way! It is only a matter of time until this horrible company takes it's last breath. Tops also tries to force employees to donate to different charities even though Tops pays their employees less than enough to eat each week. I wish the worst for Tops Markets and pity all of the poor souls that work there.

Stopped at quality market on rt. 31 here in lockport,ny .I was shocked ,the store they talked about closing would be so lazy with service. I didn,t have a bonus card so when i asked for the store,s they would,nd give me the discount ,i had to get the manager. Top,s on transit alway,s give,s you there card when you ask for it. If quality on rt.31 in lockport close,s part of the reason is the poor service they give and if someone from corperate went in there as a customer they would see it to.I,m talking about service in general not just about the card

The rating does not reflect the store itself...the rating reflects my concern over the inadequate lighting in the parking lot of Store #368 (8717 Oswego Road...13027). (Incidentally, this store IS in the Town of Clay, but the zip code of 13027 is actually Baldwinsville, NY, which is correct for that store). The lighting in this small shopping center complex that this particular store is in, is so bad that it's actually dangerous for anyone to be shopping there after dark. In this day and age, safety is a very big issue and everything should be done to protect the customers that come and go. That being said, whoever owns this property either has no concern for the people that frequent this store or has no clue that it is so dimly lit. I strongly urge that management look into this situation and strive to correct this situation by sitting down witht he owners of the land that this store is on and making the appropriate changes in the lighting that is presently there. I have expressed my concern over this parking lot for many years and nothing ever was done...I'm hoping that Mr. Curci will make a difference. Good luck with your new acquisition in the Central NY area. Sincerely, Mrs. Sharon Micho

Went into the store with my nephew to pick up some items for lunch. Among the items I was purchasing was beer. The clerk wanted to know who my nephew was and asked for HIS ID;He is 14 years old, I am 49. I was very confused as to why they would be asking for a 14 year old's ID and not terribly interested in mine, as I was the one purchasing the beer. What ID would a 14 year old child posses?? What possible reason would Tops Market have in concerning themselves with who was with me. Do they deny every adult of age to purchase alcohol if there is a minor present? Are we now supposed to leave our under age children unattended in the car parked in their lot?? As a state trooper in NY I am well aware of the drinking age and completely understand the need for the stores to ID all individuals looking to purchase alcohol, however, this new policy (if that is the policy) is above and beyond compliance with the law. Needless to say I left my items there and went down the road to purchase my food! Not sure I will ever return to a store which appears to be harrassing their customers in an invasive and unneccesary way.

I would like to know, WHY in GOD'S NAME you would close BOTH cortland and Ithaca stores! do you not realize that the college students are coming back in the next few weeks? You have 4 colleges between cortland and Ithaca, TC3, Cortland, Cornell, and Ithaca... Where are these kids going to shop for thier food? The only place they have left is Price Chopper and their prices are higher than you. At least leave one of the stores open. My son is 45 minutes to an hour away... with the gas prices the way they are... he can't come back home to shop for his food. COME ON PEOPLE! THINK ABOUT THIS!

Shopped the old quality markets in jamestown for years before it went under and now is tops.Well want to know what makes one white rain hair spray differant from the others you decided to do away with your white rain spritz please bring it back to the store cant find it anywere do you have to take every product away? Also have alot of perscriptions i have filled every month for the past 24 years and when tops took over the quality they decided to also change the manufactor who they get the medicine from well one in perticular they changed was my sons cummadin well with out realizing it for two months it had a bad effect on him it made his cummadin go up high why because these ones had mint in them and thats a no no for cummadin users but they werent gonna switch him back but one girl who worked their was a great help and she made sure that they did all in all this has happened to alot of people and after leaving them with side effects so think before yous switch manufacturers. Thanks

I shop at the Tops on Grand Island and enjoy the employees they are always helpful and pleasant, however the parking lot is in very poor condition. Garbage needs to be emptied from the trash cans each day and the entire lot needs to swept of trash daily. The entrance to the store has cigarette butts everywhere. This is a quick fix and would certainly enhance the store. Please address this problem and designate a person or persons to clean the outside & parking area of the store to make it more presentable.

I just don't get it. I have been a steady shopper at Tops at Winton-Blossom for at least 10 years...I buy all my meds at your pharmacy. Today when I went to pick up my depleted pain medicine I found that I had forgotten my wallet and only had some pocket money. The co-pay was $2.60 and I was 40 cents short. When I asked them to trust me for the 40 cents they just snubbed me and said no way...I was shocked to say the least. I told them to just give me the pain meds and I would stop back later to pick up the remainder of my heart medicine. She recalculated the co-pay and I was still 20 cents short. They refused to accomodate me. At that point I went to the asst. in customer service (Marshalll Bowens ) and he immedidately took me back to the pharmacy window and paid my total co-pay out of his pocket. The Pharmacist asked "Are you certain you want to do this?" What hurt the most was that I thought that people there cared for me and my well-being. I was tottaly humiliated in front of other customers. I will not forget this.. and there is a super nice and clean Wegmans just 3 blocks away. Need I explain ? I will get my prescriptions filled there. and my groceries too. I will miss your bakery. Why don't you send some corporate spies over to Wegmans to see how it is done right? Geesh.

I found out today you CHOSE to overprice the US GROWN products in TOPS stores and now have chosen to STOP selling them!!!!!!!! WE NEED AMERICAN WORK along with HEALTHY FOOD for our families. YOUR products are grown outside the USA ...many come from CHINA where they still use INSECTICIDES BANNED IN THE USA!!!!!!!!!!!! LINKED NOW TO AUTISM...CANCER...AUTOIMMUNE DIESEASES..and you bring this fruit and juice to our children and label it TOPS and that its healthy!! WE WANT AMERICAN PRODUCTS inspected by OUR FDA!!!!!!! there is NO FDA in BRAZIL ARGENTINA MEXICO CHINA and the CANADA products are merely those countries routed through canada!! I have spoken directly with a USA FDA representative and HE told me all this!!!!I am not shopping at TOPS until you BRING BACK AMERICAN US GROWN FOOD!!!!!!

I don't mind waiting my turn, but when my turn comes, I expect to be taken care of...or at least get a suitable substitute. Around noon or early afternoon Memorial Day at the Meadville store, I attempted to cash a $2 winning instant Pennsylvania lottery ticket after patiently waiting behind another customer who was buying several machine tickets. I was told by Ellen (last name unknown) who was working at the desk that the lottery went offline and she couldn't pay it-how convenient! This is not the first time I waited in line only to come up empty when my turn finally arrived. I left the store to cash at another location but decided since I waited they could be more conciliatory since I shopped there often and spent lots of money there. I returned and told Ellen if store policy forbids paying tickets offline, she could buy the ticket from me for $2 cash and redeem it herself later-she refused. Vicki Bradley, Manager came to the desk and said there was nothing she could do and also would not buy the ticket from me. At this point, I became loud and told her if she couldn't/wouldn't do anything to try to reconcile differences to get in touch with someone who will. At that point she threatened to call police and I left the store. Both Ellen and Vicki need to develop some human relations skills-treating customers like doormats invites trouble. I hope we can work out an agreeable solution to this problem. Thank You, Tom Findlay
