Request for Partnership; Kivandeni Hope Orphan Foster care is a non-profit organization that was started a in 2004 with the mission being to improve the quality of life of Kenyans--with emphasis on women, youth, and children-by providing assistance through educational and community economic development programs that are replicable, sustainable, and poverty alleviating. KHOFC programs assist vulnerable groups, such as those who are infected and affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic, women, children and the youth. The over-arching vision being to improve the quality of lives of Kenyans by providing people to people assistance through educational projects. This is done by empowering people to be self sufficient and take full control of their lives. The founders of Kivandeni hope orphan foster care are Vulnerable/Marginalized poor Women at the rural areas of Easter province of Kitui district. Despite help from local programs, we believe that our involvement in development in Kenya is critical to her development. We can articulate the dangers of pre-adolescent marriage, women circumcision, pregnancy and HIV awareness more effectively than outsiders. People in rural Kenya are very interested in being assisted by their own people, if they are given a choice - due to the fact that we as Kenyans have lived in their shoes and we understand their culture better, they will not be afraid to open up to us. The Kivandeni hope orphan foster care programs are made possible by the tireless efforts of countless volunteers and generous support of the Committee members, the many area churches and organizations. KHOFC believes that the reduction of poverty and HIV/AIDS related health problems lies within the villagers' ability to become self-sufficient. People must not only be informed of AIDS, but they also need a solid understanding of why their cooperation is in their best interest. Thus, KHOFC supports self-help initiatives that educate and motive people to participate willingly to destigimaze HIV/AIDS: KHOFC develops opportunities for orphaned and poor children to continue with their education by providing Food and social support. We believe in development for all Kenyan. KHOFC provides community economic development through its micro-enterprise programs, which supports those affected and living with HIV/AIDS. Sanitation Y2000 & HlV/AlDS education/prevention- is to control deadly diseases spread via poor sanitary condition and cultural sexual behaviors. KHOFC programs encourages and support participatory development-- a process through which villagers conceive, design, implement, and participate in evaluating their own development efforts.. I see all these complaints in several different Krogers store's , but what the customer's do not understand is that the employee's most likely dislike their job , or are not treated fairly , under paid , over worked because of being short staffed. Until you have worked in their shoes , you will never know what they have to go through everyday and how much pressure they are under . And everything starts with Managment ! If employee's were happy with their jobs and felt appreciated instead of expected to be superman and for 1 man to do a 5 man job is ridiculous! I know it is not the customer's problem .. but please show a little more compassion with Kroger employees and be patient and kind and you will get the same in return .

Y'all are a bunch of cry babies - Do what I do and shop the Wednesday ads and split your marketing between Albertson's, Safeway, Basha's and any other grocery stores in your local area. You seem to have time to complain so you should have time to make a few other stops during the week. One of my favorite things to do is "People Watch" and I get a great laugh all the time - Ease up and enjoy your shopping experience where ever you choose to spend your hard earned $$.....Otherwise may I suggest you feed your families from the Dollar Menu at your local McDonald's or Burger King, but then again we will see your complaints posted on their sites when you continually get messed up orders only to find out when you get home because you didn't take "the time" to check them before you left the window.........

TO THE DISTRIC MANAGER FOR MID ATLANTIC REGION, WE NEED A SUPER KROGER IN COVINGTON VA, IT WAS A MISTAKE TO TAKE KROFER AWAY FROM US, I TRAVELED 60 MILWS TO SHOP AT KROGER.

Hate to have to give a poor rating to the Kroger Western Ave.Store in Chillicothe, O., but the manager of that store earned it. I am a Senior Citizen and have dealt with KROGERS for well over 50 yrs. and have been pretty much satisfied until now. I had asked the manager to get me some cases of Diet Rite White Grape and Rasberry and had also ordered some wine. When I went to pick them up, the store only had one case of the white grape, and she would not sell it to me for 2.50, as the sale was priced at four for 10.00, and they did not have 4 of the same items. She further told me that it was no longer available. After I got home, I called her on the phone and asked her again if she would sell the one case for 2.50, and ask her if she would make an effort to get any remaining supply. She said no, and said that I was always complaining about the store and hung up on me before and I was done with my conversation with her. I called the other Kroger store manager in my community, after writing up a complaint to corporate about her attitude, and he said he would take care of me and would sell a single carton for 2.50, in the event that he only had one. Before, the beginning of the Memorial Day weekend, corporate and the Bridge St. store manager had about a dozen or so cases for me, if I wanted them, along with a whole case of my favorite wine if I still wanted them. Great! Right!......but not so fast. In today's mail I received a letter from the Manager of Loss Prevention from Kroger's Columbus Division, a William Walter Cain, jr., telling me that I am unwelcome in any of Kroger's Stores and if seen in any of them, I will be prosecuted for Criminal Trespass. A copy of the letter was sent to the Western Ave store manager. Now, understand I didn't threaten anybody, curse at anyone, create a scene in the store, or steal anything. I just complained now and then about things: spoiled food, mispriced items, expired dates on food, or asked for special orders ...... Understand that I also use to work in loss prevention myself, and you don't get involved in these type of matters, unless someone has taken items from the store. Who does this guy think he is? I now feel like a minority that is not allowed to sit at the lunch counter for service. Hasn't this guy heard of Civil Rights? Well, I have complained again to Corporate and let's see how they handle this guy's conduct. Kroger customers beware, "Don't complain too much or, The Kroger Police Dept. will ban you from the store."

I have always been a Kroger shopper since I was young & was very happy & decided after I had children & they grew up a little, I would like to work there. I enjoy cooking & baking so I thought the deli/bakery would be the perfect spot! The person that interviewed me was awesome! She was very helpful! I was hired! But on the downside, the lead lady was a different story! I have never in my life came across someone like this! She emotionally abuses people! Does not train! Expects new employee's to know where everything is without telling them & if you can't find it, she walks off to other employee's & talks trash about how awful you are! Very unprofessional Kroger! She even mentioned to me on my first day that several customers come in & will see her working so they will find another person to help them because they do not like her or the attitude. Wow! Is this what you want leading your deli/bakery? You all should feel ashamed at the GROVEPORT, OHIO location!!!!!!!! I know others have complained as well! Do something about it! This is union right?

After moving from Southern California and being a loyal "Ralphs" (AKA Kroger) customer, I am TOTALLY disappointed with the Kroger #3360 in Gainesville, Georgia. The employees could give a rats ass whether I could find an item or had ANY concern as to my satisfaction in my shopping experience. This includes the store manager wo, when asked for the location of an item stated "I think it is in the nutritional section" then went back to yaking with a cute female customer. What an ass! After reading the above post I do believe Kroger needs to send their empoyees to Home Depot to learnhow to treat a customer. From now on it is Publix Market for me. Take a hike Kroger!!!!!!

I am employed by kroger 449 in richland mississippi I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant and rarely miss a day, I took my mom to the hospital may 14th I called in that day giving 6 hours notice (we are only required to give 2 hours) on the 17th my mom was diagnosed with cancer. On the 22nd I gave them 24 hours notice that I had to take my mom to the hospital on the 23rd for a procedure in which she had to be put 2 sleep for. Now there is talk about putting me on a short suspension, even though in the 4 years that I've worked there I've very rarely called in. Kroger has no compassion for their workers or their customers!!!

The Kroger store Marysville, Ohio quit accepting vouchers from the Union County Veterans Service Office. This started in 2010. The Mgr's at Marysville Kroger said it was a corporate decision and they were losing money because of this. These vouchers are for $145.00. When I was shopping at Kroger with it, my wife and I could get enough food to last almost an entire month. Now we are limited to IGA stores and do good to get enough to last 2 weeks. During a phone conversation with Allison from the Kroger corporate office she said that all she could say was they were no longer accepting the vouchers and she would relay my concerns to the people in charge. Is Kroger making so much money that they can afford to lose money. I can only hope that the VSO can soon get with Wal-Mart or work something else out. I don't use these vouchers very often but it would be nice to know that if I have to I will be able to get enough to last for awhile. As for Kroger, I think they should take another look at their policy. In the meantime I think I will be shopping Walmart or going to Dublin for Giant Eagle or Meijer.

My husband, and I have all of our prescriptions filled at Kroger's. Your advertisement stated that "You get 50 gas points per prescription filled at Your Pharmacy!" BULL SHIT! Not if I have a Government insurance! My Husband is a retired Navy man. He, and others have put their lives on the line for everyone's freedom. He has Champus insurance as a secondary insurance. I was told this week that, " You don't get the 50 gas points if you have Champus Insurance. That's a fine Thank YOU, to our troops that have put their country ahead of themselves, and fight for Your FREEDOM. Why would any company do this to the people that have done so much for their country? Some gave all, and this is the thanks that Kroger's gives them. Brenda Smith bls467@gmail.com

My most recent shopping experience at Kroger has left me re-evaluating the convenience factor, after having to make two trips BACK to the store to get my order right. Alarmingly, the first return was to take back a sack of fresh corn and charcoal starter fluid for the grill that had leaked all over the corn. The cap was closed and no visible damage to the container, yet the inside of the bag was wet and had saturated the corn. 20 minutes after my husband got home and I checked with him to see where the meat was we had purchased, he didn't have it and it was not in the car. Another return to the store to get it, the bagger, same guy that originally packed the groceries said they had put my meat back even though it was paid for and bagged. Even though we talked to the floor supervisor and the store mangager, I still had to go gather my meat back up and that really just was very irritating... WHY don't you have a holding area and expect for patrons to call on something as expensive as MEAT? FYI I don't have to shop at your Kroger store

Amy, you should have NEVER been allowed to stack coupons. If you open your eyes and actually read a coupon...THE WHOLE THING...it says ONE (1) coupon per item. Times are tough, I know, and I use coupons too but I don't take advantage of the system. Stop being greedy.

I have been complaining to Kroger's supervisor during 4 years about rotten food and poor (less than poor) customer service and I GOT ARRESTED BY POLICE SQUAD COUPLE DAYS AGO!!!

I bought a corned beef for the sale price of $7.24, but it rang up at $18.16. When I went to customer service, they refunded my $18.16, but not the extra tax I paid. I had to almost argue my point before they begrudgingly gave me the sales tax back. Funny thing is, every store, every employee, and even corporate work off differing scan right policies.

I am a loyal Kroger shopper, that is, I was until Kroger decided to change it's couponing policy. Many of us couponers loved to shop at Kroger because they offered great deals, and ,unlike many other stores, allowed you to "stack" coupons. This set them apart from other grocers and for that reason many people chose to shop there. I regret that Krogers has recently changed it's coupon policy and now only allows you to use one coupon per item. For that reason, I will take my business elsewhere.

WOW! After seeing the reports at other Kroger stores I'm dwarfed. Our Kroger is Ralph's in Escondido, California. Some of the clerks cannot or don't know how to react to a simple price difference. I've had to just leave a basket full and go to a competeing store. Then customer service......well.....that one is way tooo long.

I love Kroger. I am satisfied with their products and almost always with their employees. The only problem I have ever had with Kroger has been with the customers. People tend to be odd! I certainly am glad that Jake won't be at Kroger when I am. I wouldn't want to shop next to someone carrying a gun. Come on. The only reason our founding fathers said it was ok to "carry arms" was because they were carrying muskets! One shot every 10 minutes, by the time one would have been able reload. No one needs to be carrying around guns all the time. It is also time that people take responsiblity for themselves. One day, I slipped on my own stairs, because I miscounted my steps. I thought I was on the main floor, but oops I wasn't. I wonder who I can sue for that? Maybe the builder because there wasn't an alarm or something to tell me when i was on the main floor. Folks - get logical. Yes mistakes can sometimes be made. Most often though - mistakes are our own fault.

I have an issue with Kroger Pharmacy. I haven't received an explanation nor Kroger representative who can resolve the issue. For about 55 days department supervisors have shined me on about we'll get back to you, contact customer relations, contact your local manager, contact your HMO, false phone numbers etc. Now I'm told that their archives only go back a month. Sorry but you're SOL. So Kroger screwed me for about $50. It's not an ethical way to do business. My advice is don't take their word or promises because Kroger will cheat you if they can. Do not trust Kroger.
