Why is it so hard to get in contact with corporate? I went to pay for my items and there was a large bug in front of the countier and the employees didn't come around and kill it. I know ya'll are to take care of the customer, but really come on now.

I have been a Cato customer for about 10 years and I love their customer service. I must say the store in West Houston, TX is lovely! The store is always clean and welcoming. The employees there are friendly and very helpful. Erin and Jessica are always great at helping me find whatever I'm looking for. The reason I gave 4 stars is because I am not fond of how Cato makes their employees greet customers. It can get a bit annoying, I've actually heard several customers complain about it. Customers don't always want people in their face when they walk through the door.

Richland, ms location us very helpful with items that I need and when pairing one color with another. When I ask them their honest opinion I get a real response as I do not won't to walk around a professional setting showing areas that are not flattering. If a pant or skirt would look better in a larger size I value their opinion as women to tell me. Women ate the first to critic one another.

Very BAD!!!

I purchased a gift card for my wife for Mother's Day (2013). My wife did not want it because wanted to continue to lose weight. I called and spoke to the manager and was informed that she couldn't do a credit because the cash register was not set up to do it. The manager told me the gift card was good for a long time, but could not do a credit for a gift card. Guess what? Cato just lost a customer, but I think she (they) knew that!!!

Lay-a-way

I love CATO and they are always so nice, however, their policy on lay-a-way is no posted in the store. I asked for a price difference on things that had gone on sale, and I got a gift card. This is the first time ever I have had that happen. I will not use their lay-a-way until they make their policy clear.

I will not go back. Ever!

I will no longer shop Cato's. After I returned merchandise on Monday I noticed after 2 days the money wasn't there. I called the store and was told my financial institution was holding the money. I thought it was unlikely, but I called my bank anyway. After several minutes of reviewing my account it was determined Cato's had not even sent it through. I called Cato's back and THEN was told it would take 5-10 business days. I will never shop Cato's again. Not this year or the year after. They will never get another dollar of mine.

Return Merchandise

Cato Fashion is pretty quick in pulling your money out from you bank account, yet it take the 4-7 business days to put our money back into our account. I will not shop at Cato Fashion anymore for this matter.

Customer service

Experienced a new sales clerk today, young, inexperienced and had no idea of what to say or do with a return. Formed her personal opinion which she gave to the 'manager' who backed her up and repeated it word for word! If you want quality, don't go to Cato.

The one Sierra Vista AZ is ran by a person who should fired. She texts all the time and goes to the back room to talk on her cell phone during work hours . I want someone over the manager Angel to contact me.

Poor Customer Service

The Fulton, Missouri Cato Store has recently undergone changes in their Management Staff. The recent new hire is a young pregnant girl. The first time I went into the store and she wasn't very friendly I blew it off thinking maybe she didn't feel well. I have since been in there several other times and her disposition has not changed. She doesn't offer to help you, she doesn't smile and she acts as if you are bothering her by coming in. Didn't she realize that you have to work with customers in this position? She needs a job where you don't work with the public.

Please consider the TRUE Plus wooman

I really do like the fact that Cato is a plus srore, but Cato is losing touch with the TRUE plus size woman. Some of us women are super plus sized and I am tire of being referred to other stores that have plus sized that are too old looking for my taste instead of the stores you like taking time to provide some of the sizes we need. 1. It seems that 26/28s are bedoming scarce in a lot of their items. 2. There needs to be more length in a lot of the tops in the store. At leaste 4 more inches. 3. Jeans need more stretch in them; at least some of them. 4. Cato need to go to whole sizes like 26, 28, 30, 32.

Poor Customer Service by Cashiers

I entered the store today, Roseville,MI to receive a price adjustment on a clearance blouse , that I was overcharged for by $2.00 and was I was told to read the back of my receipt price adjustment are within 7 days. The lady also indicated that the blouse was no longer that clearance price,but it was lower by $3.00 more I asked for the price indicated and was refused my adjustment. I had to ask to have my paid merchandise returned back to me which she took her time doing. Upon leaving she says very loudly you have a blessed day Really, LIKE U ACTUALLY CARE! This is the second time I entered this store and others in Michigan that gave poor service. I hope Corporate really reading these reviews something needs to be done.

Customer Service needs improvement

The Catos where I live has the rudest employees. I have read earlier reviews saying the same thing. It's not just the employees it is the manager and asst manager. I really think as a company you should really look into this. It's not a certain thing they do its every thing they do. They should be a little more courteous of the customers that walk through the door.

Insult

Recently I went into a Cato's to purchase a few things which I have been a loyal customer for 20 + years. I was told at the register that my card had been rejected. When I asked why (I have excellent credit) I was told since I had not charged anything in over a year, it had been closed out. I told the clerk I had been in a few days before, but had been paying cash. She said I could reapply. I have never been so angry. I told her they had lost a valuable customer as I would never enter another Cato's. I went home and cut up my card. Looks like they would appreciate cash money.

I was appalled at having to listen to obama supporters on a over head sound system at your store in richland, ms yesterday. Makes me think twice about shopping there again.

I visited the Houston store Versona in Willowbrook Mall on Monday and all I can say is ''WOW'' I appreciated the associate whom greeted at the door the knowledge of accessorizing for my daughter and friends homecoming dress and even myself.Giving beautiful tips and new ideas on shoes and what to wear and what not to wear I myself had no idea of what to do I would commend any and everyone to visit this store if you are in the Houston or surrounding areas you won't regret the trip Thank you Pam, and The rest of the Versona Team keep up the good work.

I give the quality of the "Cato Products/Clothing" a rating of one. Every time I purchase an item of clothing that is a cato brand, I have to hem the slacks, re sew buttons, etc. I do like the store and people who work here in Ft. Pierce

Your store in Hazlehurst Mississippi has a very nice employee name Feleicia Ellis. She helped me the whole time I was in the store with a great attitude. She has done this several times she really need to be rewarded.

My son went to work for catos right after high school. He worked for the company for 2 years. He being a guy the customers loved him. His first year he had an awesome management team. The second year they all quit but him. He got a new manager who wrote him up every day, for stupid things. My son was not allowed to wear short sleeves shirts because that is not the dress code for men. Even though the store was with our air and we live in Arkansas were it is 115 degrees. For some reason female staffs dress code is different and they are allowed to wear tank tops. I contacted corPorate and was told that is the dress code. Kind of double standards. I will be contacting my lawyer over discrimination case.

While in my South Boston, VA store Aug 6, I was appalled at the way the manager interacted with her employees. The tone and verbage she took with one employee was rude and very demeaning. I was embarrassed for the girl. I found it very unprofessional for this manager to behave this way in front of customers. As the employee was leaving (her shift was just ending), the manager even checked her purse (on the floor in front of customers)to see if she was leaving with any merchandise. I'm not sure if this is required in Cato stores, but if it is, it could be done more discreetly. Now, I don't even want to return to this store during this manager's shift. That's how much she upset me.
