This is got the supercuts in Bear, De. 1233 Quintillo Drive. On 2/27/2011 I arrived with my 4 children at 5 pm to an open store with unlocked doors & an open sign. 2 people were getting their hair cut & I was refused service. I was told by the store manager Brittany that the store was closed. Funny how the unlocked door & Open sign misled me. I also work in the service industry and know that if you let someone into your establishment, you do not refuse service. I then asked Brittany for the number to call corporate and was told by the store manager she had no idea how to contact her corporate office. I have a large family & a lot of friends. I work with & am in contact with a lot of people on a daily basis. I will be spreading the word about what happened to our family at your establishment. Please contact me at knetta4@msn.com. You can let miss Btittany know that since I work in the service industry, I tip 30% on a bad day. Our bill would have been close to 70 at least. Guess she was all done making money that day. Other businesses would love to have us!

1475 Solano Ave. Albany, CA 94706 is the "Super Cuts" I'm blogging about. Its right next to Berkeley. This happened yesterday on FEB 22 2011, tues. First of all, I'm waiting for my turn, nicely looking at mags until she says, "Clifford?". I look up and stand, after putting down my magazine. That woman's name was Asmes. I'm forgiving and understanding, so I didn't take her "offhanded, introductory unpleasantness" personally because I don't know what she is going through. But one thing was for sure: She wasn't happy to have me sit on her chair. I asked her advice about what hair style was current and cool, and she answered me with no interest whatsoever. She said something like, "Whatever you like. This is Berkeley. Everyone has there own style". I told her, "Isn't this Albany?". She says, "Oh yeah, buy we're close to Berkeley". To make a long story short: I finally wind up in my car, looking at my hair in the mirror while realizing that she left one side burn noticeably longer than the other. So I go back in there and as I enter, I ask this other "barber/stylist", "Does my side burns look even to you?". She immediately says, "No, that side is longer than the other". Apparently, Asmes, who did my hair, vanished to her lunch break, they said. I was wondering if she was quick to get me out of her way which could have accounted for her error on my hair cutting? I wondered if I would of tipped her the 3$ on top of the $17.00 that that particular "Super Cuts" charged if I had known about this instantly? I suppose I would have still done so, but she would of fixed the problem there and then, while it was still my chair. But no, she is gone to lunch. The other barber, this Chinese lady, was really nice to me. She told me to have a seat and when they had an opening, they would tend to my error of my hair cut. But the Chinese lady was momentarily busy, so she asked this other man/stylist, "Could you fix his hair?". He shamelessly and emphatically says, "No!". He didn't say, "No", as if, "No, I would like to, but I can't". He says no as, "No, I don't want to help him!" It sort of hurt me the way he said it, and that in front of the other customers. I was embarrassed and I went up to him in a calm way and asked, "Why can't you fix my hair?". He says, "I have some one else right now". That was true, but to fix a side burn? That would take a minute or 2. But they didn't like me because I had asked if I could have a discount for the error next time I was there after telling them I'll just shave this side burn myself. I wasn't sure if I wanted to wait 10 minutes or so. I had my day off and had to tend to other matters. So when I went inside after the discovery of the "hair cut mistake", I asked them if I could get a 3 dollar discount next time I'm here again? I asked this after coming to find out that I'd have to wait 5 to 10 minutes again, just to get my hair tended to. I guess that was pretty brazen to ask, for a little discount when I go back there? I work in customer service and sales, and when you make an honest mistake, you make amends and apologize. For one, they didn't apologize and acknowledge what they did was and error. They had no contrition. There was this other "barber/stylist" by the name of "Joanna". She was getting a little upset and vocal after I approached the male "barber/stylist" and asked, "Why can't you fix my hair?". Trust me folks, I was calm as a kitten. And Joanna approached me as if I was being rude and mean. It was the opposite. She was getting vocal and losing self control, but she tried to make it look like I was getting violent. I told her, "I'm calmly asking him, 'Why can't you fix my hair?' And I asked Joanna, "Why are you getting upset and vocal? I've calmly and nicely asked him, 'Why can't you fix my hair?'" Joanna had nothing more to say and couldn't and didn't want to answer my simple question. She just wanted me out. Joanna, Asmes, and the male(don't know his name) didn't dig me too much. The chinese lady was the only one, it seemed, that felt what I felt and was empathic towards me. The other 3, I felt, were malicious. So, finally, I asked them if I could have a receipt and asked for the Franchisee's name so I could speak to her. Her name is "Venita". I'll call her and ask her nicely if a measly "3 dollar discount" is too much to ask when I visit there next time? I'll blog what she says after I nicely converse with her. I'm not doing this to be cocky or rude or demanding. I could easily forget about all this, but to think that someone else in the future could be treated so rudely by this "Super Cuts" is spurring me on. We have do our part folks!!! We can't let this country go on thinking they can treat people with indignity and disrespect. We have to stand up for each other and think of other people and not just ourselves.

My daughter works at a super cuts (or did). She was told that she had to quicken her time or she would loose hours. Even when their are no customers waiting they want you to cut someones hair in less than 10 minutes. My daughter enjoys making her cuts just perfect and spends some extra time when she can to make sure her customers are always happy. This is NOT acceptable for Super Cuts! They dropped her down to two days, and then when she did not make a meeting at the far end of town they told her that they assumed she had quit! She said NO I never said I quit but that's how they ended it. Super Cuts is a Super Joke!

I would not even give this place 1 star. The manager did my daughters hair. The mnager at the Ralto Calif. store is a real piece of work. They quoted 15.00 over the phone then charge 30.00 for a crapie two strip hair dye job. Do not go to supercuts unless you want the worst hair cut or dye job

I hate supercuts I went to get my eyebrows done and she burned me it might scar! I hate supercuts in general location doesn't matter!

Hello, I am writing to I.form you of an employee that does not fit the Super Cuts image. I have been a customer of the Danbury,Ct store for about 6 years or more. The stylists are all very pleasant and skilled at what they do. The store is clean and wellkept. The ONLY negative experience has been with the manager. She is extremelyrude and unprofessional. I have noticed her several times discussing employees and their job performance in front of customers. When I asked about the stylist I prefer she responded with a flippant answer leading me to believe she does not care for him. She is a very negative image of your business.

Hello Again I am sending a second email today so I can this time share a positive experience. I have been a. CUstomer of the Danbury Ct store for the.past six years. I was fortunate enough to find Santiago as my stylist after he cut both of my children's hair. He did such a nice job on both that I decided to try a cut for myself. He is very professional, pleasant and talented. My daughter will only go to him after having less than positive experiences elsewhere. My husband goes to him and so does my son. I wanted to take the time to tell you about one of your employees who sets a positive image of Super Cuts each and every time we go there. If you wish to contact me please don't hesitate. O

I am a previous employee of the Supercuts Corp. and I agree with a lot of the disappointment and distaste with the "fast food haircutting industry" I finally had it up to there...when my manager (who has been there for 13 years her frist job out of beauty school) told me one that I need to speed it up and only consult with the client for no longer than 3 mins. come on now I am a talker but to get all the information I need to do a good job takes a little longer than 3 mins. this is what she said.."Stop being a Hairstylist"....REALLY so I bounced I had been there for almost 6 years and had a very loyal and devoted based clientle but I protest SUPERCUTS for there policy of never telling the clientle where the previous employee is now cutting hair ...why because they are afraid of losing the business so for those rare times that you do find a good stylist at Supercuts..make sure she has your name and phone or you take her information ......they are all HATERS.....

I went to the store in Avondale, Pa today for the first time. Brittany did a very nice job and was very friendly and polite, also cute I will def. keep going.

Store location: 15 West 24th Aveune, San Mateo, CA visit in September, 2010. My complaint is: I was not informed of the store's al a carte services at the time of service. I was charged $16.00 for a women's haircut, $5.00 for a shampoo and an over-the-top fee of $25.00 to flat iron my hair. Also, I explained to my stylist how I like my hair styled and which product I like on my hair. She ignored both of my requests and did what she wanted to do. If there was a language barrier then I will be bold and say that is the stylist's problem, not mine or any other English speaking customer. Upon checkout, the cashier informed me of the price which was $46.00. I was shocked but did not want to make a scene so I paid my bill and disputed the charge when I returned to my home. The merchant did not honor my request to credit me for the $25.00 flat iron fee. My family and I will never do business with any SuperCuts store again. Thank you, SuperCuts for your fine customer service.

I don’t understand why customers have to ALWAYS complaint; you are paying $16.00 for a freaking haircut!!!!! What do you expect!!!! If you want better results why don’t go to a “high end” Salon and pay over $100 for your haircut and you can bitch all you want. Get over people!!!! I have never had any issues at Supercuts!

I was at the Supercuts in Tracy, CA (11th street location)today - there was no wait and I got seated immediately. The stylist was very nice, we discussed how I wanted my hair and she proceeded to cut may hair about 3 minutes into it she cut my ear! I mean it was a pretty mean cut - they got the peroxide out and poured it on the cut - lanacane spray - two butterfly bandaids and a regular bandaid over it. She was shaken and very sorry - they gave me a clean towel to wash the blood off my hands. She gave me an additional 6 bandaids, a small neosporene sample and three butterfly bandaids. I told her it was ok, I imagine it's part of the hazzards of the trade. She was more shaken then I. She continued much more carefully with the remainder of my haircut and they didn't charge me. When I got home I looked more closely at the cut, I'll need to go get a tetnaious shot as it is a pretty good deep one AND on top of it my hair cut is awful! What course of action can I take to get the doctors visit paid for?

I'm going back to Fantastic Sams! Last night I went straight to the Super Cuts after work to the one in the College Grove Shopping Center in Lemon Grove. Tired I went in and was told there were 2 people ahead of me. I went next door and got a wonderful tall espresso with eggnog and went back & settled in. I had been there twice before in the last month and since there had been long waiting times each time; I was ready to wait. I really need my hair layered & my bangs trimmed; since I've been doing the trimming myself for a couple months. There were 3 girls working, although one was coloring a lady's hair and knew she probably wouldn't be available for awhile. Then 1 person was called, then the 2nd person was called. Then that's when I realized there were 3 people that had been ahead of me still sitting there. At about an hour the 3rd person was called, with still 2 more people waiting; I went to the lady who had told me there were only 2 people ahead of me and who was cleaning up for the night and asked her if the other 2 people were ahead of me. She said no only one, I told her that her lie just wasted over an hour of my time. Then I left.

I was appauled to be in the Supercuts in Camillus, NY yesterday- the one girl, who cut my hair, and I go to regularly, Samantha, was busy with me and had another customer waiting, while the shift manager and other associate were more interested in dealing with yet another co-worker who is supposed to be a hair professional that colored her own hair wrong and it came out carrot orange. If this person can't handle coloring her own hair properly, she has no business coloring anyone elses! 10 minute discussion was held on whether this associate should clock out to fix her hair, as Ashley kept going in back to talk to her, instead of being worried about the customers in the salon. What happened to professionalism? It is definitely not in this location. On another occassion I called for my stylist, and was told she wasn't working that day. Boy was I mad when I walked in later that day and she was preparing to leave.

Last night, Dec. 3rd, I went to the Supercuts located in the shopping center in Liberty Lake, WA. I had my brows waxed!! The gal put the cemical on so low below my brow and then with the actual removal she managed to rip the skin off my upper lids!! Today I look like a raccoon and have what looks like 3rd degree burns. I took pictures if you want to see them. She is either not trained to do this or has been given very poor instruction. Please call me: (208)777-8983 Thank you

I was just turned away for the second time in a week for getting a cut and color. I called at 5 about getting a cut and color and was told that by the time I got to the store (I was 5 minutes away) it would be too late to do it. That they cut off color at 2 hours before closing. So I left work early today in order to get my hair done. I showed up at 6, the store closed at 8. There was one customer getting her hair cut and no one else to be seen. I was told by the woman doing the hair cut to have a seat and someone would be with me in a few minutes. I got a magazine and patiently waited. 10 minutes later a teenager sauntered from the back of the store, stopped at a mirror and combed her hair several times. Then she wandered to the front counter...all the while making no effort to work. She finally paid attention to me when I put my magazine down and started to get up. I told her I needed a cut and color. She said I was too late it was already 6:13. I said I had been sitting there waiting. She said it didn't matter it was after 6 so she could not do my hair. This is unacceptable customer service for an industry that is service based!

I went to supercuts on 12-1-10 for shampoo, highlites, and a haircut. I have been going there for over 4 yrs. and the employees change quite frenquently - so you never know what will happen. Maria last did my hair in June 2010 and she was still working there, she was my stylist. I ended up getting a blow dry I did not ask for and also did not get a AAA discount I have always been getting. I was told the manager did not apply discounts to hair coloring. The price for the highlites is also horrible because there is no set pricing for them - they charge whatever they feel like. As I watched a man getting his hair dyed and stuff running all over his face - eyes included - I started to realize I should not and will never go back there again!!! Women or anyone wanting hair coloring be sure to go to a fixed price salon. They have lost my business and I'll make sure I tell everyone I know not to go there!! San Pedro, CA. - Western Ave.

I went to get highlights after being told the girl I always go to would be there, she wasn't, then the lady who did my hair as she brushed it she questioned my hair being uneven????When I told her the girl next to her cut my hair, she said I just needed a trim and proceded to trim it, it took over 2 1/2 hours to get highlights in the front & the sides, then when she took the cap off my hair she pulled my earings by being in such a hurry! All said and done I was charged 14.95$ for a cut that I never asked for and when I walked out my hair was still dripping wet (except my bangs) that she dryed so I could see it, my sweater was soaked from walking from the door to my truck I didn't even get it towel dried, and the total $ was 155.00!!!!!!! I have never paid that much, Martha always does my hair the same thing I had done today with blowdrying it so it's not dripping wet and it is 55.00 to 65.00, I can not beleive that a corporation does not want their customer back by overcharging especially now days!!!!Unless you get Martha at supercuts on Fowler Ave. in Tampa DO NOT GO!!!!!

My husband and retired to Sunny Isles Beach, FL in March and have used the services of Supercuts (16850 Collins Ave., SNB, FL 33160)since then. A month ago while getting his hair cut, he overhead two of the stylist making racial jokes and remarks regarding cutting African American's hair. He brought it to my attention and has not returned to this location. Although we are not African American, we found it offensive. Today I walked in to have color, haircut and brow waxing. My stylist (Tatyana) was ringing up the charges, the store manager (Sonia) instructed to charge me $24.00 for "Blow Drying"a service I did not receive. I insisted that the stylist used the dryer to remove hair from the nape of my neck and chest, which I related to Sonia. She insisted and charged me $19.00. Tatyana was very apologetic but there was little she could do. I consider this very abusive and I will proceed to report this to the Better Business Burea and Consumer Affairs.

I recently moved from N.J. to P.A. and I needed to find a new hair salon. I had a great hairdresser for 6 years that I miss even more after my nightmare experience at Super cuts in Avondale PA. I am easy to please and not a drama queen. I am 47 years old and wear my hair like Victoria Beckman. I went in for a TRIM... The very young girl assured me there would be no problem. She butchered my entire head taking random CHUNKS out of my hair it was as if you gave a 5 year old scissors and let them cut your hair. In order for the Hairdresser at a friends salon to semi work a miracle to basically make it look presentable she had to go even shorter than the two inches that the "hairdresser" took off at super cuts. The girls at the up scale salon were horrified that someone who is suppose to be a hairdresser actually did such damage to my hair. It is now going to take at least 6 months for it to grow back in to come close to being normal again. Brittany, the manager at the Super cuts is the company's perfect PR person but fell completely on her face when it came to doing the right thing. I was refunded a whopping $16.00 not the $34.00 that I actually spent, because it would seem that water, soap and blowdrying ia a extra luxury...Super cuts should be investigated, sued and put out of business! I feel violated & screwed!
