their prices are too high

I can't afford to shop and stop, they are too high on their prices. As result I must head to the next town over where there's a price rite. Their prices are much better and I do all my grocery shopping there. Price rite has my business, and I've shopped there for over 17 years.

Refrigerator system

Needs to be controlled at store level. This is ridiculous as all your precious organic produce is too cold, which ruined it and now who wants it?? This will go to prove to you that no one wants to buy it and then you will remove it even further. Plus, people want an option other than store brand for organics. Do it right!

Taken money

I would like to file a complaint against store #614. At checkout it said I took out $32 but I did not. In reviewing my receipt I noticed the additional charge of $32. I returned to speak to a manager and asked them to review the security camera footage and they refused. I need my $32 back and am also filing a compaint with the better business bureau. Please kindly refund my money. If you review the security footage you will see I never took it.

Close the store

I think they should close the Lexington Stop & Shop. It is very dirty outside and inside. I find mold on the fruit every time I go there. I complain to the store manager and nothing is done. I now have to go to the next town over to shop at a clean store.

terrible, the stop and shop in winsted was open yesterday! how could they be open when the rest of the state was closed down. terrible! they should ashamed of themselves! it's all about the money for this store!

store shouldn't be open after a snow storm

Stop and shop had to open Feb. 09, 2013! Terrible since there was a terrible storm, and people had to dig out. Yet they should be closed like the rest of the the state, terrible, terrible. Stop and shop care more about their profit over their employees, making them work when there a storm.They should be ashamed of themselves, they don't care about their employees, at least give them something extra who came in and who were stuck overnight!

Terrible to their employees

Stop and Shop in Medford, NY is terrible. We are in the middle of a blizzard and our Governor declared a state of emergency (emergency vehicles only on the road) and they still have their employees in the store. They need to close the store so the employees can get home safely. They arent closing until 11pm tonight!! Who's going to be shopping in this weather that they need tp keep the store? Customers shouldnt be out in this storm.

Wrongful termination

Daughter was fired for reasons undisclosed, she was informed that several employees were being reviewed and that they were giving resuasable bag discounts to employees. This sounds crazy and is considering its a .05cent discount. She was interview by a so called detective whom appeared more as a street thug than a detective? She was forced to write an apology and pay a restriction fee of 15.00 the fee estimated as the free discount. Now the policy hand book has no explanation, nor was her union rep on hand when she was terminated, nor was any burden of proof provide on the accusation. I have confirmed with an attorney and he agrees they preceded unjustly and we have begun the legal process to sue.

room for improvement

The Brookline store is marginal in terms of the customer service. The managers try their best but my checkout experience is mediocre at best. The cashiers have a challenging job I am sure. Standing on their feet in a small space must be difficult and boring. I wish they would say hello first. The baggers enjoy talking to each other but they seldom initiate any conversation to the customer! Its like we don't exist. Maybe its city living, but I wish they could hire some friendly people. I know its not easy.

Please consider carrying Walden Farms Cole Slaw Dressing. I use almost a bottle a week and have to make a special trip to a competitor's market. Place it by the shredded cole slaw mix and it will sell like crazy.

hate the bags

I hate the stop and shop bags, they are too small, and when I bagged my groceries, I noticed, the store I shop at wants at least 6 items per bag on the bag stand. The bags are too small! You think I can put 6 items in those bags, and you expect the baggers to put 6 items in the bags. They are flimsy and my items fall out. So I've been using my own bags to bag my own groceries instead of those small bags, and expect the employees to pack 6 items. Please! Stop and shop should use common sense!! I guess Stop and Shop doesn't have common sense.

mother working for free

Lou D'amto asked my 87 old mother who has C.O..P.D becouse lou was to cheep to spend the $200 no the reatal of a pilgrim custume but lou payed a youngere worker off the clock and for her supplies.Stop & Shop found the money to by a new store was a class you are

i think the stop and shop in holbrook ma is very sneaky about firing there works like never telling them that u are fired and keep them hanging on from week to week i think they should do a reveiw on all there workers in this store and get rid of the front end manager she is so direspekfull to there workers so with that said my score for this store is a minus 0

missing stop sign

Your store in Levittown NY is missing a stop sign in the parking lot section that is closest to the main door and where the trucks make deliveries. It is very dangerous because the cars just keep going thinking that they ahve the right of way. The same thing happened last year. Someone knocks down the stop sing and it is not replaced.

hate self check

I hate self check out! They take away jobs from the workers, and there's nobody around when you need someone to help you. Wal mart and Big Y pulled their self scan check outs, and they are better off. Get rid of these self checkout lines!

We were hit very hard by Hurricane Sandy here on Long Island. I have been to my usual store in Hicksville on Old Country Road. I have to tell you that you have the BEST staff working at this location. John who has been working the Customer Sevice desk has been outstanding! I was looking for Duraflame logs and the store was supposed to be getting in a shippment last night he took my name and phone number and said he would call me if they came in. My husband who was very skeptical said no one is going to call you ! Yes John called me a few hours later told me the logs came in and asked how many boxes I needed. I drove to the store and there he was with my 2 boxes of logs! This man John has been so pleasant to everyone coming in and asking questions he is even nice to the people who are not so nice to him! All the employees at this location shold be praised for thier dedication and patience at this trying time.

Why is milk $5.00 a gallon? That is more than gas! Why is it cheaper to buy it from a gas station. You would think it would be cheaper in a store. Not only is it expensive, you raised the price in Franklin store a couple of days ago! Just in time for the storm. I liked to be the ceo that making money hand over fist with this scam! I hope nobody buys your milk, maybe you get the hint!

Went to Quincy store (southern artery) today - it was mobbed cuz of storm predictions. Was in there forever - stood in line forever. Got home and one of my bags was missing. Bagger forgot to put in my cart. Called store and manager was very nice and apologetic., but I still had to get back in my car and drive back - which was the LAST thing that I wanted to do. My time and gas cuz of employee mistake. Not faulting employee - we all make mistakes - and as I said the manager was very nice. However, I think that S & S should give some sort of compensation to customers in this situation cuz of the inconvenience --like a $5 gift card or something to show good will.

When I shop at the stop and shop store on Manton ave Providence, RI. I receive the best customer service from Martha and Brianna. The two always make my day when I shop at this store and bring my final purchases to the front. With Brianna cashiering and Martha bagging I can always be guaranteed a good visit, the two are always alert and polite when I come through their line. ALL STOP AND SHOPS NEED TO BE MORE CONSIDERATE WHEN IT COME TO SMOKING. NEWINGTON LOCATION ON THE BERLIN TURNPIKE FINALLY MOVED THE BENCH TO THE END OF THE SIDEWALK, BUT REFUSED MY REQUEST TO PUT UP A SMOKING SIGN ON BOTH ENTRANCES. THEY NEED TO DESIGNATE THE SMOKING SECTION AWAY FROM THE ENTRANCE DOORS AND POST SMOKING SIGNS FOR NO SMOKING WITHIN 25 FT, OF THE BUILDING. THERE ARE EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS WHO ARE SMOKING NEAR THE ENTRANCES, ESPECIALLY NOW THAT IS GETTING COLDER THE WANT TO STAY CLOSER TO THE DOOR. THERE ARE CHILDREN,GROWN UPS WITH ASTHMA, EMPHYSEMA, AND COPD AND ALSO PEOPLE WITH CHEMICAL SENSITIVITIES THAT ARE SUBJECTED TO SECOND HAND SMOKE WHICH IS A MAJOR CAUSE OF THESE DISEASES. WHO WANTS TO COME OUT FROM SHOPPING INTO A NASTY CLOUD OF SMOKE. BIG Y HAS A NO SMOKING POLICY AT ALL, MAYBE WE SHOULD ALL SHOP THERE.
