Overall I love the stop & shop in east setuaket, they have a cashier named Barbara who knows all of the customers..always greets you with a smile,she is quick,pleasant & a great asset to the store!!! There is a young man in the frozen food section, I do not know his name, but he's has a beard, and consistently has gone out of his way to find me a product in the back that may not have been packed out yet,there is another wonderful gentleman in the meat section, I think he is the manager, Italian or Spanish ...also goes out of his way for me & my family, the manager always listens whether I have a complaint or a compliment, how ever, the deli department is a frustrating area.i have two small children & time is a of great importance to me,I preorder my cold cuts with the machine when I arrive, print my ticket & shop, however when I receive my cold cuts,the cut is usually wrong, or the machine wasn't cleaned before my order & there is other meats on my cold cuts, I have spent a lot of time returning & waiting for new. There has also been several issues with the women's bathroom, on occasion I have used it, & from time to time someone's smoked a cigarette in there & the smell is unbearable! my newest issue is the Lay's Kettle Cooked potato chips. I consistently buy the salt & pepper chips,the only flavor eaten in my house. They haven't been available for about a month, I continue to ask for them, & I get told that they with speak to the vender but nothing happens.i have also put in a request for Barrilla wagon wheel pasta that this store carried but stopped, no response, I hope this letter does not fall upon deaf ears, & the good will be heard as well as the bad. I shop in this store every single week, I always spend no less than $200 a week,with the recent announcement at the last civic meeting in the community of a Shop Rite opening in our community .. It would be a shame to leave your store & all your wonderful employees dues to consistent inconveniences. I already have to go to other stores for some of these things,and I am an active member of the community & school district. Bad news spreads quicker than good. I know there's are other shoppers in the community that have a lot of similar frustrations, especially with the deli dept. thank you for your time.

I HAVE BEEN HARRASSED MANY TIMES FROM YOUR MANAGERS AND CASHIERS IN YOUR UNION, NEW JERSEY STORE. YOUR CASHIERS ARE NASTY, RUDE AND DO NOT WANT TO EVEN BAG THE GROCERIES. ALSO, YOUR ONE MANAGER BONNIE, LAST YEAR, 2011 PUSHED ME IN MY STOMACH AND STARTED TO GIVE ME ORDERS IN THE LADIES ROOM...I DO NOT TAKE ORDERS FROM ANYONE, EXCEPT JESUS. SHE IS LUCKY I DID NOT FILE A COMPLAINT AND SUE HER FOR A&B, HARRASSMENT, DISCRIMINATION AND ENDANGERING MY LIFE AND WELL-BEING. I AM A LEGAL SECRETARY FOR MANY YEARS, I KNOW MANY VIP PEOPLE, INCLUDING THE FBI, ONE OF THEM, IS MY COUSIN. I am complaining about this manager we have at the store. he cut my hours to 20 hours every week. and i am sick of it. you better have him somewhere else.or i'LL go somewhere else to work. I been at this company for 25 years. and he cuts my hours to 20 hours. I CAN LIVE ON 20 HOURS.

I would like to tell you about the horrible Stop and Shop in Holbrook,Sunrise Highway N.Y..They have a woman on the front end named Trish Gancio who is a horror to work with,and she mistreats all the employees and even the managers higher than her position!.Not one complaint with HR does any good either!.The way she speaks to people I have never met such a nasty person in my life!.Stop and Shop Corporate needs to see the real deal going on with her and why she has a hold on so many men in suits,really..I wonder!!.

The Villa Ave Sop and Shop in Bridgeport is the worst Stop and Shop customer service. I went in and for the second time was refused to be given 10 ones when I cashed a check for over the amount of my groceries. And not because they didn't have it. This clerk said it was Stop and Shop policy to not give out ones in which I responded Great I'll go to Shoprite tomorrow and get them. She then said may God come into your heart. I reported this to the Manager who said there was no store policy and he would speak to her. I'm so happy that ShopRite opened recently.

I am so disappointed in stop and shop on veronica ave in franklin township nj. No matter when I go,the deli department has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. ,ever a friendly hello or friendly anything for that matter., never the exact amount I ordered. And to top it off today I spent 4.19 on bread that was not fresh. HORRiBLE!!!

for the love of god why cant the braintree store ever have any product . and lets not talk about the managers because you can never find one. how come walmart who pays there employee nothing ,have product on the self and everyday low prices. If i hear one more time its because of our big sale iam gonna throw up.but if i go to the weymonth or north quincy store things are stocked. that because they have better managers .

I have a couple of complaints about your Stratford store, One day I went in to make a purchase, while walking to the checkout line, I was rudley told this one is closed, you have to wait here. I did, very patient. The person in front of me was having a hard time getting her items scanned, The line filled with more people, at that point there were anout 5 maybe 6 behind me. The girl that rudley told me to go to that line, opened up another one, and took the 5 people that were behind me first. I was angry at the way this was handled. I must have waited 20 minutes, then other people behind me went before me. I walked out and left my groceries on the register. Just yesterday, I took my 16 year old son to get a flu shot, again we waited 20 minutes, only to be told he was too young. Why wasn't there any signs saying there were no children under 18 ? The staff they hire there are rude, inconsiderate. I will never step one foot in another Stop & Shop again. They are crooks, liars, There SHOULD be a sign in the pharmacy letting customers know that, so they don't have to wait 20 told be told NO !

Dear Stop and Shop, Thank you for not carrying the new Ben and Jerry's "Shweddy Balls" ice cream flavor. Don't we get enough crudity without getting it at the supermarket? Thank you for your wise decision and you have this customers support.

I went to your store on Avenue Y in Brooklyn, New York, and I as well as the man in front of me were on the wrong line. We both had more than 15 items, but the sign was poorly lit, it looked as though it was off. Well the white person was allowed to go, no problem when it was my turn, the African Americam Manager (Davidson) statrted yelling at me and berating me, mind you I had a small child with me, it was quite embarassing, to make it worst he let another person go in front of me while still trying to berate me and yelling at me. This person needs to be fired, he needs to be fired, because all customers should be treated with respect, and the signs should be brightly lit, but his behavior towards me was very unacceptable.

Stop and shop in MAnsfield MA - Bakery is awful !! Found a fly baked in a bread first time and withing 5/6 weeks time, found a piece of hard plastic in a birthday cake. All store does is apologize ........Aweful !!

I am writing to compliment one of the Stop and Shop employees in my town of New fairfield, Ct 06812. There is a young man named Chris Cashier # 00114, and he is one of the most professional, couteous and helpful employees I have had the pleasure of doing business with. I shop at this store daily and he is always helpful and customer orientated that i have dealt with. Please let your management know and I have already called the store today. In this day and age of discouteous service it is a pleasure to have an employee of caliber there . thank you ms pat hoenninger

Today I went shopping at the Stop and Shop located on Main Avenue (Route 7) in Norwalk,CT. There were so many shopping carts in the parking lot and then the genius who was collecting them added an entire row of carts so I was trapped inside my car for ten minutes. I called inside the store to let them know about the situation but no one ever came out. When I got inside Frank at the service desk told me he sent Maria. Maria claimed she could not find me even though I told Frank exactly where I was. I finally just started pushing carts away out my window and hoped they did not hit anything. When I told them about the situation in the store they did not even apologize. The cart guy who created the problem even took a break while I could not get out of my car. Next time I will go to Shop Rite. STOP and SHOP does not care about their customers. There were no consequences for this at all. They acted like this was no big deal.

My grandaughter has worked for Stop & Shop in Port Chester for a few months now. Today, after she went grocery shopping, the store manager, Paul Vallarra and the "store security" approached her asking to see her receipt and insisted she attempted to steal a reusable bag which she had put her groceries in. My granddaughter is not only a long time customer but also a good employee. I do not think it was professional for Vallarra to approach her on the sales floor as if she were a criminal all because of a $ 1.99 bag after she spent well over $60 in groceries. He could have brought her to the side and told her security believes her cashier may have forgotten to charge her for the bag. It is clear employees are not respected in this store and are being watched meanwhile there are CUSTOMERS who get away with stealing everyday. Another incident with Villarra is when I myself witnessed him call one of the baggers retarded. He is a disgrace and should NOT be a manager.

Why is is that the cost of your gasoline so high, when local gas stations are chaging as low as $3.59 a gallon, and the cost at you South Bay gasoline station is charging $4.09 a gallon and that is after the $.05 off when using your stop and shop card. I have a good mind in contacting the Attorney General's office and tell them that Stop and Shop is price gauging. If it is not a benefit to shop at Stop and Shop, I will be shoping at Shaws, or Roach Brothers, Shaws costs are much lower than Stop and Shop and the only reason why I kept shoping at Stop and Shop was to get a lower price for gas. Someone needs to look into the price gauging at your gas stations, otherwise people will not shop at Stop and Shop and start shoping somewhere else for their groceries. Other independent gas stations can buy gasoline at a much lower price than brand name gas stations, and it seems that Stop and Shop is price gouging, and should immediately stop.

They have a 800 customer relations phone number. Don't expect any customer relations. They don't get back to you and couldn't care less about your concerns. Basically what happened was, S&S got too big and forgot about their roots, their customers. Shop anywhere but S&S... Shop Rite, BigY, Whole Foods,Price Chopper, Walmart or anywhere else. Stop and Shop needs to go back to the drawing board and have ongoing customer service training.

I went shopping this afternoon to the Oyster Bay, NY Stop and Shop. As I turned down Aisle #3, pushing my basket, a RAT (yes, the rodent kind) ran across the aisle in front of me. I was horrified and upset. I backed out of the aisle and went looking as quickly as I could for an employee to report this to. I saw no one in the first few aisles I passed, so I quickly headed for Customer Service. There I spotted the manager, standing nearby. I reported what I saw and he smiled and chuckled. He did not move, ask any further questions or in any way act like he intended to do anything about it. I thereby left the store, telling a few women who were on their way in what had just transpired. They left as well. I decided to contact Stop and Shop Headquarters with this information, but found no good way to reach anyone there via e-mail. This "make a comment" page is the only place I found to tell my story. I hope someone reads it.
