I placed an online order a few weeks ago. I think the total was around $20 or so. I got confirmation that it would be shipped via FedEx. FedEx delivered it to a post office for them to deliver it. I thought that was strange, but someone told me they did stuff like that all the time. 5 days pass and still no package. I called my local post office and they said they didn't have it. I was thinking maybe it was just lost in the mail at the time. I e-mailed customer service and told them about it. I tried to make this e-mail as correct as possible and with very few grammar and misspelling errors. I got a reply the next day and at first I thought that was really fast. I opened the e-mail and all it said was that they were sorry and it actually said "that's too bad" at the end of the letter. Also, there were a lot of misspelled words, but I won't get into that. I don't see how a customer service part of a company can be so unprofessional about something. I'm not upset that my order was lost in the mail, but there is no reason to just tell me "that's too bad" and that be it.

I was just at the spencers in the sunrise mall in bayshore ny. I was just glancing at items with my girlfriend and happen to stop at the adult section.i happen to give my girlfriend a kiss and i here one of the employees say you no ypure on camara right! I proceed to say " and whats the problem with the camara" the mananger stated welll you are under the handcuff section. I was so appalled and asked her what her concern was just cause i kissed my girlfriend. I never felt so disrespected and violated.. It is a free country and she made me feel as if she wanted to control the fact the i kissed my girlriend. I feel these people you get terminated for discrimination im trying to speak to corporate to see wt can been done.. Obviosly the manager didnt even apologize

Employee of spencers at one poiint in time got fired today because the managers didn't know how to schedule and put me on the days and hours I told thm I could not work at all even gave them a paper saying can not work these hours. Yet they still put me on for those hours and expected me to show up when I have another job and they warned me and yelled at me when it was their mistake not mine and now my car breaks down it won't turn on nothing the car place has it fixed by 4pm today spencers calls me and fired me at 3pm while I'm at the car place working on getting my car fixed and paid for. They will be hearing from me and my lawyers. They are rude, terrible people who don't listen when someone can't work and expect them to show up.

ON TUESDAY THE 22ND MY WIFE SON AND I BEING 2 WENT TO THE COUNTRYSIDE LOCATION IN PALM HARBOR FLORIDA...MY SON LOVES YO GABBA GABBA SO THEY HAD QUITE AN ABUNDENT SELECTION OF HATS BACKPACKS AND SUCH,WE BOUGHT 3 HATS A COUPLE SHIRTS AND A BROBE BACK PACK FOR CHRISTMAS...WE GET THEM HOME THE SALESMAN NEVER REMOVED THE DYE PACKS THUS MAKING THEM USELESS UNLESS RETURNED...I LIVE 45 MIN IN EITHER DIRECTION TO ANY OF THE 3 MALLS MIND YOU.I CALLED UP TO SPENCERS AND SPOKE TO A SO CALLED MANAGER MATT AND HE SAID BRING THE STUFF BACK UP THERE TO REMOVE THE INK PACKSI THEN REPLIED OK ARE YOU GONNA GIVE US 10-20 % OFF BECAUSE OF HAVING TO DRIVE 45 MIN?MATT THE MANAGER REPLIED LOL NO!YOU CAN EITHER BRING THE STUFF BACK OR RETURN IT...THEN HE GETS RUDE AFTER I SAY ANY REPUTABLE STORE WITH INCOMPATANCE LIKE YOUR SALESMAN WOULD GIVE A DISCOUNT FOR HAVING TO DRIVE SUCH A GREAT DISTANCE BECAUSE OF THE SALEMANS POOR INCOMPATANCE...ANYTHING?AN APOLOGY ANYTHING...I SEE LIKE 30 PISS POOR REVIEWS ABOUT SPENCER GIFTS ITS ABOUT TIME CORPORATE DOES SOMETHING TO ADJUST THIS PROBLEM ESPECIALLY WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE AND APPRECIATION....AND ALSO TO THE GRANDMA WITH THE LITTLE GIRL WHO SAW A "CLIT" ON A SIGN YOUR STORE SHOULD BE FOR 18 AND UP ONLY BEING AS YOU CARRY SEX TOYS DILDOS WHIPS AND OF THAT ASSORTMANT SPENCER LLC SUCKS AND NEED TO BE ADDRESSED I WILL NEVER EVER COME TO YOUR STORE EVER AGAIN IM 33 BEEN COMING THERE SINCE I WAS 14 AND YOU SHOULD BE TURNED OVER TO THE BBB...

On Friday October 28, 2011 I took my 7 yr old twin grandchildren to Glenbrook Mall in Fort Wayne, In. As we walked along the corridor, their eyes were drawn into the entrance of Spencers's Gifts where there was a large display of adorable hats that are now the rage with the kids because they have animal faces or ears. My two chose Stich and an orange tiger face. We went to the register to pay and passed snugglies with Sesame Street characters and the twins went nuts. I thought they would make great Christmas gifts. We walked to the register and were sort of cordoned off by a large rack of smutty "funny" t-shirts. I diverted their attention to the Sesame Street backpacks hanging on the wall behind us. We were still 3rd back in line when my 7year old Grandaughter says, "Grandma, what is a clit?" Awkward. A thirteen year old girl standing in front of us buying 2 hats like we were, turned to stare at me. Awkward. I was thinking, for a moment, that my grandchild surely misread something, however, she pointed to a magnet, yes, a large magnet, stuck to a metal sheet on the register counter. It was next to the Oscar the Grouch magnet. And the one that said something with capital letters "BITCH". The one my 7year old was questioning said, "GAG ME WITH YOUR CLIT". This is not OK. This is NOT OK!!!!

I don't understand how this company is still in business...I had an experience that matches what a few people here are complaining about. I'm getting ready to contact an attorney to file a law suit if there are any one here that wants to be added to that suit for compensation please email me at noa81@hotmail.com

All I can say is wow. I had been looking at becoming a vendor and I wouldn't want our companies products associated with a company like this. When I was young they were cool. THis is very sad and disappointing. I will approach Hot Topics instead.

The employees at the Katy Mills Spencer's Gifts,Katy Texas Mall are very rude.They bad mouth the other establishments merchandise which is liable for a law suite.When contacted about them about bad mouthing other stores in the mall they denied it.When the assistant manager was asked for her bosses name and number she refused to give it.When asked for the corporate phone number she said she couldn't give it out.BS !!!Shape up or ship out if you want to keep your job!!

You need to update the return policy. I just bought the shirts and they clearly haven't been worn, the shirts were for a gift and I must have misplaced the receipt. The tags are attached and pretty much still folded how I bought them. They won't even let me exchange them for something else without a receipt. There is nothing more that irritates me.

I have called corporates customer service 3xs on an incident from Fathers Day... Its now July 22nd...and still no phone call from the District Mngr. They say its a 24 hour turn around time!Its been over a month! For curiosity.. my complaint: My kids wanted to get there father another Hangover Shirt, we went to Spencers and they had the Graphic T-shirts at Buy 1 Get 2nd at 50% off. Ok.. I can do that... My son notices that they had the same shirt in his sz (4T) So of course he wants to match dad..Ok I can do this theres no profanity, nothing wrong with the shirt..plus its 50% off... WRONG!!!! The sign said NOTHING about buy 1 ADULT graphic shirt and get 1 ADULT shirt at 50% off.. it simple said buy 1 graphic shirt and get the 2nd at 50% off!! The same sign was in the toddler section. They would not give it to me @ 50% off. Then the cashier tells me I can always go somewhere else to get the shirts... Needless to say I left pissed off, but I did pay for it...With hoping that buy contacting Spencers Corporate.. they would reimburse me due to there mistake! From what I can see... They dont care about there customers at all, spend your $$ somewhere else!

I was never treated so poorly at a job anywhere. Treated like dirt. The return policy is crap and pissed off a lot of people. Stopping people who may or may not have stolen and make them empty their pockets. Not only that but people brazonly stole out in the open. THEN management makes US empty our pockets every time we leave the store because LORD KNOWS all employees must be criminals. The district manager was the worst because he hated anyone who transferred from their sister store Spirit Halloween. You should NEVER work for them or shop there. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PEOPLE.

I wish there were a zero stars button. This place will never get $0.01 of my money. On Mother's Day, an employee at the Town East, Mesquite, TX store came charging out of the store and accosted a teenaged mentally challeged young man damanding that he "give her the bracelet!" The poor child has the mental capacity of a 10 yr. old, so he walked back into the store, picked up the bracelet that he'd been looking at & took it to her. Since she didn't see him pick it up off the shelf, she assumed it had been in his pocket, so she had him arrested. Then Spencer Gifts attorneys sent a letter with a demand for $350. (for a $1.99 bracelet that never left the store and was never in the boy's possession) They said they'd forget about it if he would write a letter of confession and apologize. I hope the family sues them and wins!

WARNING TO ALL PARENTS! There is an employee at the spencers in white marsh mall in white marsh maryland that is selling incense to kids to smoke and get high off of. I have seen this stuff at various locations and spencers is not a store that carries it.I contacted the store and did not get much help from the manager. I have contacted the authorities about this matter and will be on top of the situation until it is resolved.Please be aware that this is a big problem and to all concerned parents..KEEP YOUR CHILDREN AWAY FROM THERE!

I do not appreciate "Duh" remarks on emails. Before you "duh" someone you should check your information. Your site is not very user friendly. It does not accept correct information. That was very unprofessional and quite frankly foolish of your service department. "Duh" is childish and does not belong in the work place. It says a great deal about the company. I shall look else where for the items.

MY WIFE AND DAUGHTER WERE IN THE SOUTHLAND MICH. LOCATION, MY WIFE BOUGHT A CARD, MY DAUGHTER WAS LOOKING AT EAR RINGS. SHE PUT THE EAR RINGS BACK. THEY EXITED THE STORE, WENT TO HOT TOPICS. SPENCERS CALLED THE MALL SECURITY ON THEM. THEY WERE TAKEN BACK TO SPENCERS, WHERE MY DAUGHTER WAS FORCED TO EMPTY HER POCKETS,THEY WATCHED THE SECURITY VIDEO. AFTER MY DAUGHTER PROVED SHE HAD NOT TAKEN ANYTHING, THEIR WAS NO APOLOGY. MY DAUGHTER IS A STRAIGHT A STUDENT AND WORKS HARD FOR EVERYTHING SHE GETS IN LIFE, NOT A THEIF. WE WILL NEVER SHOP SPENCERS AGAIN. NOR WILL OUR FRIENDS, OR THEIR FAMILIES.. WORD UF MOUTH TRAVELS VERY QUICKLY . I HOPE THE MANAGER THERE GETS REPREMANDED, THEY PROBABLY JUST COST YOUR COMPANY HUNDREDS OF CUSTOMERS. PS. THE WORST DAY OF MY DAUGHTERS LIFE. YOUR EMPLOYEES SUCK, AND I HOPE THEY READ THIS.

I went to the spencers in willowgrove mall and the manager was so rude! I asked what the return policy was and he yelled at me and said read the receipt and through the bag at me.

I think Spencers is a great company and I have never been mistreated. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. People just need to complaining and get a life. They are just trying to do their jobs as far as the return policy. Read the fine print if you don't that is your own fault. As far as the sex section, this is the 21st century get over it! That is why on every store there is a parental advisory sticker stating that there is inappropriate stuff inside. Keep on doing what you are doing spencers, remember you can't please them all!!

I was in the Spencer Gifts in the Deptford Mall in NJ earlier today. There was only one employee working and very many customers. This one employee seemed extremely over worked and she did try to help me out, but there were too many other customers. I had questions about one of the lava lamps, but I didn't ask because she just seemed to busy with about 2 other customers, and a line on top of it. Having worked in retail before, I felt absolutely terrible for this poor woman. Other stores in this mall have more than one employee. Why not this one? To make matters worse, I called customer service to report this and they essentially blew me off one heck of an attitude. Oh, and while I was there I heard this terrible door alarm sound going off constantly. This all really was terrible and this company needs to do something about it.

We paid CASH for a strobe light for my son for Christmas. When he opened it and plugged it in it shocked him and he said he wanted to take it back. When we took, it back within two week time frame, they would not give us cash back. They said they have a no cash return policy, gift card only. Okay, as if this wasn't infuriating enough, we received a $30 gift card and tried to use it online. I purchased a shirt and with shipping it came to $28 and some change. When I entered the gift card information and hit next it showed I had a $1 and some change credit on my gift card. I clicked next again but it would not complete my sale. It wanted my Credit Card information which it did not need. I logged off the site and called customer service number. They found where I had attempted to purchase the shirt and it had REMOVED THE MONEY FROM MY CARD but DID NOT complete the sale. The customer service lady informed me she would have to send it to the finance department to reapply the money to my card. I was furious. This company is definately a racquet at taking people's money and not coming through with good quality service. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT SPENCERS AGAIN!!!!!!

Had not been in a Spencers gift since the 80's. Was in the dolphin mall Miami an giggled as a brought my friend in thinking we were going to have a great time. I was horrified at aisle after aisle of sex related items. I'm an ex-dancer so I'm not a prude. I was embarrased. Do you think children can see these things an not be effected?
