Two sonics on potranco rd in san antoinio suck the food is great the service sucks big time the kids that work there have no respect for costumers and take all there time i sat there at the drive threw window today for a bag of ice for almost 7 min before the girl stoped ignoring me and ask did i give u a ticket i said for what ive been waiting for a bag of ice i was so frustrated with her i told her she took forever she said there's another sonic down the road, I went to that one because it was convenient for me after work but i loose more and more conifence in sonic altogether with these people that think that coustomers are not their first priorty its supose to be a FAST food and it's totally the opposite i will never go to SONIC on 151 and potranco in San Antoino Tx. Thanks to the girl in the drive threw window!!

hi im a carhop in Amarillo, Tx. and i just started several weeks ago. Everything is usually extremely well when it comes to customer service and we always do a good job of keeping our time as low as possible(even though, there is the occasional call ins and we have to deale to the best of our abillities. All that aside i actually enjoy the fast paced work invironment, little time to be bord and standing, but with things always so fast pace its hard to learn everything there is to know when everyone one is in a rush to keep things going right. its hard to learn on the fly when you are constantly buisy and managers usually lack the time to realy stand by and instruct. It makes things rather tedious and frustrating. im not even aloud to touch the switchboard inless someone tells me too or is around to help(which is rare). As to some comments above about teens and youngue adults not doing anything at the window, when we are prepreparing bags for food to make delivery smoother and faster. One of my main concernes about sonic though is the fact that i come up short on occassion( and its almost always when a seartain manager counts me down). Which is terrible considering as a carhop i only make about 5.60 an hr and most people dont even know they are sapose to tip or atleast encouraged. Most customers believe we make 7.50 (minimum wage in tx) which is false. Inless tipped we dont make enough to get by. We only are allowed a 15 min. break and usually its within the first 2 hrs of arrival because the hecticness of happy hr makes it nearly impossible to be missing even one employee. Im also being criticized and constantly told different things by employees and other managers, When im almost always trying to do my best exactly as the head manager tell me to do. I am constantly being griped at for not smiling within the store (as soon as i am within view of the customers however i greet all with a smile and try to be as curtious as possible) and not sprinting when were buisy. I have an anxiety disorder and chronic depression( which makes it hard to constantly appear happy, and if i over exert myself [such as constantly sprinting back and fourth, which is hard enough as it is to move fast with a full trey] i get severe diziness and my vision goes white due to the antidepresant medication i am on, on some occasions the stress from it all almost makes me feel as if i could pass out. i tried telling this to a fellow employee that it is all caused by a chemical imbalance in my brain and told me thats stupid an that one of our managers has the same thing(she has a.d.d. completely different scenario and disorder) They dont understand me and constantly misinterpret the way i act and feel as something completely different. I try my best to work hard on every occasion and im not normally one to speak up on situations because of social anxiety and i try to avvoid confrontation if at all possible. Almost all of our card payment parts of the carhop thing are usually broken(or the customers dont seem to be properly informed on how to use them) Wanting to display how i feel and asking what to do about my situating. I live in SC and am very dissatisfied with the advertising on the boards and then the actual total price at the window. SC does NOT have that much food tax on food! An All-American hot dog with chili, cheese, onions, relish, and ketchup with EITHER tots, fries, or onion rings and a drink is advertisied for $3.99. When you go to pay it is actually $5.88!!!! The receipt shows that discounts are taken off but obviously you are paying too much if there's that much difference. The same with hamburger combos. Does anyone else have that problem or is it just SC? I've complained before but to no avail. Don't think I will go back there any more even if I do like the food. Don't like getting ripped off every time I go. Hope others will pay attention and see if they are having the same problem. good luck!

I actually work for a Sonic and I would just like to say that the uniforms are awful. The anti-sweat polos are not the drive in look, and after you wash them once they stink for ever. Sonic corporate took away our summer tees which were actually the car hop look, but they wanted to go for a more "professional" look . If black pants and an ugly polo are professional, do I want to even work for these people? I had a customer complain, " I accdentily walked in and I thought you all were creepers". Yes, a paying customer thought we all looked like creepers! My employr said " If I had all my carhops skating wearing a classic poodle skirt, a leather jacket and the whole drive in get up, sonic courpret wouldn't say a word if our store was making 4 million plus a year! I think the uniforms are just going in the wrong direction. Sonic needs to change their uniforms, whether they take the classic drive in look into play or, something as simple as the summer tees and kakies! Just any thing but the McDonald's look, please! PS: thanks for no more metallic cups, they were bad and took to long to get a grip on/ never could be cleaned!

Purchased a philly cheesestake sandwich today in Marshall, TX........not impressed!! There were 4 very small pieces of meat on the sandwich. Needless to say......I think we should being back the "Where's the Beef" commercial. I took photos and posted them on my Facebook page. Definetly won't recommend that anybody else waste their money on that sandwich

the mangement at the center,texas site really needs to go back to mangement school and relearn how to treat people! my husband was fired b/c of personal reasons that had nothing to do w/him! kevin bell learned on 2/09/12 that my husbands twin bro had an affair w/his bro girlfriend (it happen yrs ago) i know this b/c i was there on the 9th kevin acted like he didnt remember her but i could tell he did but what he didnt let me r my husband tell him was she was my cousin and we didnt condon what they did but instead on 2/10/12 the gm listen to kevin side and not my husbands, if it wasnt personal then i dont know what was.my husband is always getting judge by what his id twin does we thoiught that this was a good place to work but its full of backstabing people.i thought you are not to let your personal feeling come to the work force but kevin bell did!!!!! if thats how they run their business then im so glad my husband not working there i dont want my kids around trash like that(the store) we will drive 50 mile out the way before i eat there again its not right to treat people like dirt.

Yes, I've stop at a lot of your drive ins and will not stop again. The one in Marlin, Texas has gotten so bad today they didn't even take my order so I just left. This isn't my first time to go there but it's my last. Why can't you guys hire better people. I'll not eat at another one Dairy Queen will have my business now... You can e-mail me back. I will never visit sonic in fruitland Maryland again. Food was great service was great but I over heard a manager who I later found out was the gm cursing a shouting profanity at a employee. I drove be minutes later and that employee must have been fired or quit because was sitting by the bathrooms wearing normal clothes and ther was a sonic shirt on the ground by his feet. Poor managment

I worked at Sonic in Center Texas. All I can say is with gm's like the one you have there you will NEVER keep any employees! I hated it! Who in the world wants to get yelled at every day? And then his WIFE worked there and heaven help you if that fat cow dnt like you! Because she goes and wines to him bout simple little things like I say to loudly that trays are up or not loud enough that the trays are up! And have you ever heard of personal hygene? His wifes breath stank so bad it could kill a magget! And he walked around with a dip in his mouth spitting in the trash cans! EW! And if you are a cook at sonic you know that you are sappose to toast both sides of the bread on toaster sandwiches! Well the GM told me not to toast both sides because it wasted bun oil! Then his boss comes in and he tells me to toast both sides! And then my GM tells me again not to do this! And then one day out of the blue because his wife was mad at me he yells at me to toast both sides! I tell him well you told me not to! And he says oh well they changed the book on how to prepare the sandwiches! Uh no they did not I have worked at sonic several times and its always been that way! Just to show the crap that everyone at Center Texas sonic has to go through!

Never ever go to sonic@ Westheimer in Houston tx store 4369 A guy named Justin M stole my cash and my gift card. I ask for 3 milkshakes I paid 4 dollars cash and the rest with my sons 10 dollars gift card, the total was 9.36 If you know math 9.36-4= 5 So, my balance on my sons gift card was 5 dollars. He didn't want to give me back the gift card and my cash, even that he charge the 10 dollars on the gift card, I ask for my receipt and he told me bitch and close the window. I stopped at Sonic in Fort Worth at the corner of Sycamore School Rd and I35 and went through the drive through to get a tea, small strawberry slush, and an applejuce. I had my 3 year old son and 2 year old daughter with me and they were thirsty. I pulled up to the wiondow where the guy gave me the drinks. I jhanded him my sonic gift card that I use constantly. ( I'm a full time student and I keep money on it so that I can buy drinks while commuting)I never carry cash and this time I didn't have my debit card. Anyway, I sat and sipped on my drink for about 5 minutes waiting for the guy to charge my gift card. About 5 minutes later he comes back and tells me that the card reader is down and do I have any cash. I said no, and I even went through my wallet to make sure. I said,''sorry, I don't have any cash, what do you want me to do?'' and he said ''you are going to have to give me all of those drinks back.'' I could not believe this guy was telling me to give back all of the drinks that me and my kids had been drinking because he couldnt get the card reader to work. I said it's not my fault your card reader doesnt work, let me speak with your manager. The manager never appologized but told me to go ahead and keep the drinks. I just couldn't believe they would take back half empty drinks from a mom and her two babies.

Was in Sonic at Hurst North East Mall and came across a manager whom her eyes were dialated and also had erratic demeanor. Would like to know if Sonic has a drug testing program as this is not condusive for family environment in the food court thanks.

The machine was down at the sonic off Parmer in east Austin, so they took my debit gre and came back 5 minutes later. They did not give me a receipt. I asked because I did not know the price. They told me that they wrote my debit card number and name info and would process the transaction later. I would think that permission would need to be granted prior to manually writing down your debit information! I called and they said they would tear it up and put it in the trash can later! Doesn't sound safe to me!!

I live In McKinney and have been noticing that Everytime I pay with cash at sonic the employees always seem to try an keep the change. Whether its 75 cents to a couple of dollars. They don't even ask if you want your change back they just walk away. When I visit in Anna tx they do the same thing. I think it would be a little more appropriate if they would at least ask if you want your change then it's up to the customer if they want to tip or not!!

Sonic-Drive In in Oak-Hall, Virginia store 5236 sucks! The manager is very cheap and always charging employees for stuff. On top of that he goes into the computer and changes peoples times so they have less hours. He makes his employees take longer than a 30 min break. Not only is this illegal, but its also making our paychecks smaller. The only way anyone gets a pay raise is if someone threatens to quit. Some employees have been there 2 years and still get paid minimumn wage. This absurd and something needs to be done!!!

Today I went through sonic drive through in Corpus christi just for a drink. There was one car in front of the at the window. We sat at the order/ speaker area about 7 or 8 min and no one ever took our order or even greeted us for that matter. The one vehicle in front of us got their order and drove off - we were still sitting waiting to order a drink. So we drove to the window and still 2 girls looked at us and looked away. One was folding napkins and stuffing paper sacks with napkins, the other one had her headset on but still never acknowledged us. After another 5 or 6 min of trying to get Someones attention my husband was furious by now and he lightly tapped the window . The one folding the napkins opened the glass window and my husband told her we have been waiting all we wanted was 1 iced tea. She went to get it and the girl w/ the headset was just giving us the eye, like we did something wrong. So it basically took at least 15 min or more to get my tea , when it was not busy and it should have been fast- a minute or two on a day like that. So when we paid, she said the total and I said well it ought to be free, my husband got so mad at me for saying that, he said I am embarrassing- so we left there in a fight. I want my money back. On top of that they didn't even put hardly any ice now it's all melted and I'm not even enjoying the tea I waited for and fought w/ hubby over. I will await a response- dd042906@yahoo.com

Service at the store in Reno Nevada was horrible. Years I have been going to Sonic and never had this kind of service or food! Besides the visit to the store dealing with the corporation in Missouri just for employee records is insane! They tell the past employees they do not have a legal right to their OWN PERSONEL INFORMATION. They need a court order just to release WHEN THEY WORKED THERE. Funny how not only the service and food have gone down but also the mentality altogether. I will make my own tots and nilla Dr. Pepper before I go back to ANY Sonic again!

I have worked at various Sonics over the last 5 years but I will not be doing so much longer. The manager at my last place actually assaulted me. I told our regional supervisor and she decided that she was going to do nothing about it, saying there was a lack of evidence despite the 6 witnessing employees and the video camera evidence. Naturally I need my job so I continued to work, enduring verbal abuse ad nauseum, and threatened on more than one occasion with further physical violence as well as home invasion. Needless to say I file assault charges and moved to another sonic (where the manager continued to come by to harass me) as well as inform human resources so that the proper action could be taken. Well it's 7 months later, the police having arrested said manager several months past and the regional super, and the investigator for human resources are both saying that there is nothin to be done and that furthermore they are outright refusing to correctly resolve the problem. Apparently this corporation believes it appropriate for it's employees to be physically abused in any manner whatsoever so long as the company can keeping turning a dime. Seriously, who keeps an employee on it's payroll who attacks the companies other employees? Even after the perpetrator has been arrested by law enforcement for doing so? And who the heck would deny such an event claiming lack of evidence when the freaking POLICE find enough to attest the A-hole? Only sonic. This is how sonic treats it's employees. Just imagine how they will treat you..,
