Contemptuous customer service

Hechinger Mall Safeway located on maryland ave NE customer service continues to prove over and over again that it does not put the customer First. Long lines are met with indifference, cashiers closing lines at the height of traffic to take breaks, a long list of other complaints too long list here. The culture is me first not the customer.

Ephrata wa Safeway

Never in my life have I been so disgusted about the way a manager treats his employees. My wife has been working there for three years now and recently put her two weeks in to go to Wallmart, a non union job, half the pay and it's all because of this one person. Now I don't normally complain about people but when this occurres on a daily basis to not only my wife but numerous people. Where do we draw the line on how a manager can treat his emplpyees,When dowe stop all the abuse. Thanks for reading this. Rip Off

I bought an avocado and they charged me for 14 avocados. Yes, that's right FOURTEEN instead of one. They often make "mistakes" like that, but never once have they made a mistake in my favor.

BAD DECISION

I can't believe u would hire a person for management from an outside competitor-especially one that has a PAST!! The newest person to get to management in the Dixon store used to be Stripper and has been with more guys then a urinal at a bar!!! POOR CHOICE in hiring this one!!! Not to mention she use to shoplift at the mall on a regular!!! Keep an eye on her-she'll get with a married man in a second

Poor Customer Service

My mother wrote three checked on April 21, and each time the clerk and store manager refused to cash her check for the amount of items. No reason given. Treating a 82 year old like that is in poor taste. I will be calling the corporate office today.

Bad Service

Long time shopper in Vallejo and really disappointed with your meat department lately,my wife bought salmon and when we got it home it was definitely spoiled and not for human consumption-I guess I'll buy my meat somewhere else

Safeway Really safe!?

I took home a bag of lemons gonna make lemonade fresh Looked on the lable Not one but 7 different Poisons and coated in wax to boot. I am taking the bag back and checking out a local store. No more safeway!

Complaint

Von's is at it again on how to "alienate" customers. Big sign at cashiers "If we do NOT ask for donations please contact the manager for a $10.00 credit." Cashiers (loudly) "Do you want to round that change out for donations." I go for groceries only, not to be cajoled or coerced into donating." Somebody in the top floor corner office should be fired. Hello Ralph's, Alberson's, Walmart.

Customer Service

The checkers are rude, rough with grocery items and disrespectful. I have experienced this for years and I will no longer shop at Safeway.

When are you going to do something about your store manager at 1466.. he needs to learn some leadership skills along with communication ability. He is nothing but a glorified stock clerk with a white shirt. He must know someone because he should have been move years ago; unless your getting a manager at a stock boys wage. But then Safeway HQ you most likely will not even read this; yet, this site does provide information that could be useful; if your concern about your bottom line and employee loyalty this would be a good place to address some of those issues. You see; when people are treated with respect they get respect back; but if not you end up with someone who is only concern with the buck.. it's not the loyalty that binds people together.

All I need is to change vons club card #. Old card does not read. System does not recognize phone #.Kept on hold to long,not "toll free" to me, only to be told it has to be fixed at the store. At the store they tell me to call toll free number for help.. Back and forth,Back and forth .Automated system that can't "hear". Does anyone know who I can contact for help?

Very upset!!

I'm writing from Columbia, MD and I really have to tell you how upset I am at the fact that I went shopping on Saturday and practically everything I bought has gone bad! I had to return the chicken bc it had actually gone bad - Monday night I was getting ready to make it and when I unwrapped it a smell took over my kitchen. My avacadoes and spinach went completely bad. Not to mention your food is some of the priciest in this town - more expensive than the specialty food stores!! I am no longer going to shop with you guys. This isn't fair.

Red Card

I have been a Loyal Safe way Shopper since we moved to Battle Ground Washington in 1995. I literally wore my card out. I was given another card by my local Manager and told to call the number on the back of the card to re-register. I called the number twice. The second time I put the phone on speaker and let it stay for 30 minutes. No answer. When I asked my local manager about this he said there was nothing he could do and without very much sympathy I might add. Fred Myers and Winco here I come. If I ran my business that way I would be broke.

disappointed

I've been a faithful customer since the Dixon store since it was new,I've noticed on more than 1 occasion a new female manager Flirting with vendors and other employees while I was on the same isle as her, on 1 occasion her and another female employee talking and laughing with their Phones out. I don't know where she transferred from or where u found her but she is not MANAGEMENT MATERIAL!!! This is a store- Not a Nightclub!!

i shop at safeway in santa rosa, ca at the calistoga rd store. i was shocked to hear the way the workers talk to each other with no respect an very vulgar. the one person that stood out was a man by the name of hector. if he's the store manager he needs classes on how to treat co workers, ill shop elsewhere my children dont have to hear that type of language.

Over charged

I use to like Safeway my grandmother has shopped there for years. In the beginning of the month if marched I ordered my son a birthday cake and was charged twice on my EBT card sounds horrible but I have tax payers who are being taxed just to feed me and my family get up and go to work faithfully Just to feed theirs and ill be damned if either one of us get played I hate their service and the long lines hire more people and show some gratitude in customer service towards their customers rather than not wanting to do their jobs or unhappy to be there i

my elderly mom bought a two thousand doolar money order for a scum bag in haiti that scammed her. longview 15th ave store the store manager did not ask her anything about money order talked to store clerk she said she wont send money there for elderly unless someone is with them manager droped the ball on this one

Unfathomable!

It baffles me that a lucrative market, such as home delivery, can be decimated by a major corporation whose business involves food distribution. Safeway delivery has done so. I contacted top officials in this service only to be treated more rudely each time. Top that with an unfriendly policy and you have the makings of what not to do in business. I'd rather pay the additional cost for Peapod to be treated properly by professionals with policies that respect their customers than get that "fabulous Safeway discount / free delivery" and be treated like complete garbage. Those in corporate are to blame and if someone was smart, heads would roll. A complete lack of accountability. When I have to go to the market, I go to Safeway solely out of convenience, although customers are treated well at my particular Safeway. Prior to home delivery, I was a full time Safeway customer. Your home delivery devision needs a 100% complete overhaul and your employees need training in courtesy. Unbelievable that a customer needs to tell this to corporate.
