Rent A Center Corporate Office & Headquarters

I wish I could I rate this -1 stars!!!! I went to the RAC in Braddock Hills in the Pittsburgh area. The assistent manager at that store is engaged to my cousin. I went there to rent a tv and a laptop for just a couple of weeks because I am moving and all of my belongings are at my new location. Well it took over 2 hours to process my application and I was approved. They set up delivery and advised me they would be there by 5. I wasnt out the store 5 mins when the driver called me and said they are refusing to rent to me because the assistant manager called my cousin and told her I was in the store she advised him that she read on my fcebook page that I was moving to Florida. He proceeded to go on my page and leave me a message (he isnt my friend) that he cant rent to me because I am moving!!! My cousin isnt one of my references nor is she listed on anywhere on my application!!! So he had no right to discuss what I was doing in the store. He advised me that he could send me to another store. I told him no I wanted a refund and I would be in the store to get that I will take my business to Aarons and I was goint to call their corporate office to file a complaint. I came in the store to get my refund and was very upset because I wasnt treated like the other customers. He wouldnt go on their facebook page to get private information. Well an associate who I was not taking to tells me they have the right not to rent to me and I agreed but they didnt have the right to discuss my account with my cousin nor go on my facebook page! After 15 min he couldnt figure out how to issue my refund on my debit card I said give me cash because I used the debit part of the card and it came out as cash he told me no he couldnt it wasnt store policy I told him I had a ride and he needs to hurry up so I could leave he told me if I cant wait then I need to come back the next day. I told him no I wasnt going to do no such thing and I called the C-O I spoke to a rep who advised me to to tell him to call his district office he said no because he doesnt answer. I said ok and my next call was to the police the police came and advised it was a civil matter take them to court and e gave me the local Magistrates office number. Suddenly he called the District office and the manager told him to gve me cash so I could leave. I went home and called the district managet Rick and he was just as rude as the others he started accusing me of attacking the employee and refused to hear my side. So I told him its against the law to discuss my account with anyone other than myself or my attorney!! That he could only call my references at this point to verify my address. He told me that e was glad I knew the stores policy, I then advsed him that I was contacting the Attorney Generals office to file a formal complaint because the store violated my privacy was extremely abbusive and unprofessional. I asked how he spelled his last name he asked me for what and I advised for my complaint he reluctantly gave me the spelling and I hund up and filed an online complaint with the state Attorney General. I strongly advised if you have been harrassed, mislead by pricing or you had your account discussed with anyone other than yourself or your attorney to file a formal complaint with your states Attorney General's office and when they ask how you would like the matter resolved ask for punitive damages. If enough of us complain and sue it will force them to change their practices, The best revenge is to be an educated well infored consumer.

My 1st time in rentacenter was not a pleasant one my tv went out and I thought I would give it a try for the first time so I walked into my local rentacenter on Clinton hwy Knoxville tn and a nice young gentlemen approached me we talked about there televisions and so I resumed to fill there app out and sitting there as I waited the manager passed me not so much as a hello or how are you today so still I sat waiting after calling my place of residence my employer and a couple of other references not to mention a pay stub showing I make 45,000 a year the young gentalmen proceeded to tell me that he could not reach one of my references and would be unable to deliver my tv until he reached my last reference wich I provided more than they asked for and I proceeded to tell him I needed a tv tonight and so I said no thank you and proceeded to go to ezrentals just blocks down and with a paycheck stub and a couple of references was acomidated not only that but a delivery man dropped it off an hour later and I gave him a pretty hefty tip so I ask you in this day and age in a customer service generation why could rentacenter not acomidate me and a mom and pop operation could I work for ferguson ent in Knoxville to and we pride our selfs on top notch customer service and even our worst customer gets the best service after hours or during regular hours no task to small or big so in closing my 1st experience in a rentacenter was not the best one but I'm sure some people have great experiences and are very pleased but I'm not one of them and would never recommend them to anyone visually good service meteoker at best above and beyond for someone trying to rent the most expensive product they have almost non existent so they won't work hard they won't get the best customers and results ...

it is biggest rip off we ever had. you wind up paying back four time the cost. the same thing are at walmart.for good price in just 3 months , but knot at r.a c. we will never buy anything there again, we would be better off with out it. the employees are horrible. this is in hiram, ga. thank you,larry edwards/ p.s. the stuff they said is knew is not,its used/

I have been dealing with Ramone,the assistant manager at your Revere,Massachusetts store in the North Gate shopping center for about two months now.He has gone above and beyond to help me at this difficult financial time in my life.Ramone has always asked me to be honest about my financial situation.I in return have been honest with him about when I would make my payments. At this present time I am renewing my yearly unemployment benefits.It will take approxamately 2-4 weeks to receive my retro check.As soon as i get paid ,Rent A CENTER will be paid .I have asked Ramone once again to work with me to continue doing business with the great RENT A CENTER.I will only communicate with Ramone in this matter.I mean no disrespect to anyone.Thank you for your always exceptional products we purchase, Sean Davin seandavin37@yahoo.com

I went to a store in Houston TX on Fondren and W. Belfort looking for a stackable washer and dryer. The hispanic girl approched me asking me greeting me, my first mind was to talk to the man behind the counter, so I trusted her and told her what I needed. She then proceeded to say well some apartments don't allow that. I looked at her and then stated you just lost a client, what the hell would you start trouble before you even took my information second why would you draw attention to something that doesn't warrent it, thats like drawing attention to a law called fornication which is in the law but everyone does it yanno why pick now to start acting holyer than thou yanno, if I had let her pull up my name she would find out I was a long standing client of Rent a Center was is the key word. I looked at her as causeing trouble where trouble wasn't as long as I used rent a center when I needed them from 1986 yeah I said 1986 then she would have shut her big mouth, Im saying I never had any problem as such from any Rent a Center employee until I met her from 1986 such at this and if that was the case that would be my problem to work out not hers. So I happly went to Arrons Rents who I only got a years lease and a great price and I am wasing my clothes happly in my appartment with no damm problems. God Bless the big mouth problem causer at Rent A Center...

just reading all these negitive reviews of people that have had so many different problems with rent a centers i myself have had nothing but great things to say about my experence with taunton ma main st store where i have have bought two large tvs a sectional couch tv stand bed room set the computer i'm on right now an most recently a washer and dryer they have addressed any and all problems or questions i've had over the years in a professional an courtious helpful an knoweledgable of products they sell if they say theyll be there they are if they say they can do it they do hat's off to my guys and girls at taunton ma main st rent a center store

i just want to let everyone know how rude the workers are in the guntersville al store are they came out to pick my stuff up and i had someone here waiting on them because i could not get home in time and they didnt pick the stuff up and was talking real ulgy to my daughter that i said i would be here and should of been they told her she had better make sure i called them as soon as i got home. they should have got their stuff i had someone here waiting on them and they had no right to talk to her the way they did

WTF!? I have never been treated so poorly. My husband and I are buying a washer and dryer from the Traverse City location. we have had them for two years and only owe 500 to pa them off . We got 2, thats right 2, weeks behind and they sent us a letter saying we were to return the items to the store. we said we would give them back the dryer but we have paid off one of them , so we were keeping the washer. Put your drinks down your gonna crack up. they said thats not how it works because they still owe money on the items, bahahahaha! How do you owe money you wouldnt be able to make profit and have a store idiots. and if anyone from rent a center is reading this, you should know i keep all my reciepts and i showed them to my lawyer. Call me a million times for that!! once we keep our washer an throw your dryer back at ya, we will never do business with you again, see ya

Rent a center has to have the worst customer service,the room mates and I have a washer,dryer and refrigerator from them and they wouldn't stop calling and harassing my room mate at work and they put us on the spot when a friend wanted a tv and they were too lazy to make a new application so they suggested I put his tv under our name and we couldn't say no In front of him..and also the worker on the phone got a real bad attitude over the phone and was being a smart ass and even cussed at us..don't support shitty customer service with rent a center.

your office on maysville pike in zanesville has very poor customer service,and ur treated like crap,i had broke my foot and had to have surgery,and i had never missed one payment before,and i had even bought a computer there and paid it off within two weeks,any how i had asked for a little time to come in to make a payment on my tv,and they informed me i had until the end of the day before closing and they came a half hour later to pick the tv up !!! i will never go there again and or recomend anyone there,i have also delt with aarons for years so i will stick with aarons cause they have always been good to me. very angry in ohio

RAC use to be a good place to rent items that were needed. I rented a fridge, this was a new fridge, a day after it was delivered we noticed the door not working right. We notified them, they sent out someone to take a look at it. This guy stated that he needed some nylon washers and was going to get some and come back. He didn't show up for 2 weeks, went in and paid the bill. Mentioned it to the manager about when is the fridge going to be fixed. He knew nothing about it. He stated he would have someone come out on that Tuesday. Sent the same guy, had no idea what he was doing, complained that they should have sent another guy to help. My husband ended up helping him fix the door, come to find out at the manufacturer, they didn't put the washers on correctly so the door wasn't moving freely. They put the washer on correctly and the door worked great. This didn't make me feel to good about RAC as it took them 2 and half weeks to fix this fridge. We have an Aaron's in the area, so we went to look, they had a bigger fridge, and cost was less. So, we took it. That day we went to RAC and told them to pick up the fridge as soon as possible as we found another one. They picked up the fridge, but not without doing a lot of damage to my home. The person who picked it up was the same guy that couldn't fix the fridge. He took a dolly and while the fridge was on it, with out tipping the dolly on the wheels, dug the dolly into my linolium floor, making several dig marks. Then he proceeded to go a different way then the way he stated to my husband he was going to take it out. Was in such a hurry, damaged an entry way, making quarter of an inch dig marks on both sides of the entry way. This happened in December, it is now middle to late march and they still have not paid for the damage that I filed a claim on. They have asked for 2nd appraisals done, the flooring is the most expensive as my kitchen is a good size kitchen. They think I should just not bother having my home fixed and it's okay to damage my home. Will never, ever, rent from any RAC store ever again. Aarons will be getting my business, they have nice things, they treat you with respect always.

ive rented several items from R.A.C. and paid them off but when they recentally took a kitchen dinet table and chairs that i know was used and discounted and should of been paid off they said i still owed. so i said hold for 2 weeks and it was not held when i came back to get it. it was gone and they no longer have this item and wont give me a replacement, that means i loose the 850 dollars i have into it witch the item was origionally lowered and should of been payed off they just laugh at me and take everything else ive already payed for this is bull**** that i cant get any replacement and be screwed like this. I WANT SATISFACTION

I've been dealing with on your stores in remington, Indiana an I gave a major problem with getting parts for my dining room table an chairs. I've been waiting almost a year waiting on the right parts to fix it. One thing I can say the employee from what I've seen have tried,but I feel I should have to wait this lo long for parts an stil. l pay the full price,I have been with this company about seven to eight years an always buying something new,but this is coming to a end if you would like positive commemts. I feeling things need to be taken care of .

NEW ALBANY MISSISSIPPI!...... It has took me awhile to decide to write about this. Iv had accounts with rent a center for over two years on small things. A tv and also an computer. Iv been in school for 4 years now. I have know the staff at the rent a center by name. Everyone of them. I'm pretty friendly I would say. I haven't ever had a argument with them and there has been more than a few times I felt like I was done wrong. Here lately the main manager up and left his job. I walked in a few days later and found out he had left. Him and all the staff but two of the regular ones. They replaced the old one with people fro Sorounding stores. These people have been here now for a couple months least to say they are screw balls..... Iv gave that store no telling how much money and never late on payments. I had my father pass away on a thrus. My payments never due until Tuesday. I pay on saterday or Monday. They went to my house on that saterday before it was due and nobody there. Door unlocked because between family cling and going bc of a death and being rushed out the door... They took my stuff and I wasn't due until the following Tuesday after renting for over two years. With out a noticed this happen we came home from the funeral to see this happen and iv tried everything g I know and can not get any sorry or help or why... Then was cussed by two members and screamed at by the office manager. Corp office doesn't have a number a real person can be reached and they won't response to my emails. What to do ? Is this not wrong?

i went rent-a-center in monroe nc an got table for my dinig room nov 8 2008 and it pay off in march 2010 and i to buy something rent a center today on 02-28-12 and brandon scott at 1011 w. roosevelt blvd monroe.nc 28110 he said that i couldnt rent any thing eles because i own on the table he was so mean to me. that as been two years if havenot pay anything in two year someone would came and pick it by now i have got two tv. that has been payoff living. bedroom.vcr that i have for 5 years washer&dryer everything has been payed off. my wife has been with rent a center for 09 years in pandland sc we never been treating that bad as we was in monroe from brandon scott he would talk to me like man to man an like a customer in talk to me like i was a child he willnt talk to me like that again i am telling everone on facebook how he treating me an we goung to take our bussines to aaron thank you

Rent a center in Neptune. NJ got the most unprofessional ***holes working there..by the way they talk on the phone shows you the type of people you dealing with....I dealt with them over 8 years ago and now they harrassing me over a laptop i did not rent..the ***hole talking about someone added themselves to my 8 year account...are you kidding me....DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE IF YOU CAN'T. AFFORD ANYTHING..PUT IN LAYAWAY AT WALMART..YOU BE BETTER OFF....

my daughter bought laptop from rac. well she got a little behind on her payments. well they keep harassing me about it, they even disrupted me while i was making funeral arrangements. they said they were going to have a warrant issued for my daughter if she does not return the laptop.

As of February 11, 2012, I made a verbal request by phone at (11am) with a young lady working at the Chicago Heights, IL location, to have the refrigerator picked up, because me and my family were moving out of the residence that day. The young lady placed me on hold and then came back on the line stating that someone was on their way immediately. Around 3pm, I placed another call back to Rent a Center inquiring about where they were and how much longer it would be before someone was coming. Once again, because we were in the middle of a move. She stated that she would call her manager, who was in the field already, to have him call me directly to advise just how long it would be. Less than five minutes later, I received a call not from the manager in the field but another employee who was currently working at the store, demanding to know what has been going on with me and my account? I again requested that someone come and pick up the merchandise and the employee cut me off and stated, “YOU DIDN’T ANSWER MY QUESTION”. He then proceeded to cut me off again and again and became extremely argumentative. I then disconnected the call because I wasn’t’ going to take the abuse any further. These are the most ghetto people I ever had to do business with. Please, if you can't afford to buy, invest in a payment plan; but do not do business with these fools!
