INVESTIGATIVE REPORT: PUBLIX ground beef products are never processed on site. Publix, we learned from their senior meat purchaser, receives it's ground beef products in ten pound tubes, purchased through one of three midwest processing plants. WE have been repeatedly lied to by store and office management in this regard. IF and when meat oxidizes it does so from outside in, not as misrepresented by beef lobby report where they try to convince us the outer remains pink but the inner turns dark gray brown due to lack of air reaching the product..WE were informed that due to federal laws all chain groceries now purchase meats that are kryo-vaccuum packed. What exactly is the PUBLIX employee/management policy on LYING TO CONSUMER'S? Had they been honest to begin with I would not be posting this today> GROUND BEEF NEVER discolors internally first - I've proven it with their own in store ground sirloin which I purchased and handed to the butcher in the store. Further, I am a senior citizen who has been cooking gourmet for over fifty years- conclusion: PUBLIX ---MANAGEMENT---CANNOT BE TRUSTED--

I am a worker at Publix Store Number 0598 and I have been a bagger for over a year now. I would like to be given the oppurtunity to be a cashier and move up in the company, but every time I ask my management (Jennifer Wellman) if I can be trained in cashierin I'm always told no. The reason I'm told no is because Jennifer says I talk too much and I'm better off as a bagger. I'll admit I talk a lot but that's no excuse for me not being able to excel into other fields. I have worked for nationally top ranked companies as a cashier and am confident that even though I talk a lot I can perform the task at hand efficiently if given the chance. The managers don't see that in me I think and I wish they would because I feel if not given the chance by the end of the year I'll need to explore new job oppurtunities someplace else.

In a time of much struggle everywhere we all tend to complain about more than normal. Although all of us, myself included have have some neg. experiences. This time I only wish to thank the store managers of 2 stores (00395 & 00844) for stepping up to the plate to make an effort to help a stranger (family of 4). Without them that family would have had nothing to feel grateful for during a time of struggle. Thanks for being Great Examples of Decent Human Beings and Great Examples for your employees and community. There still are good people out there. Angels do exist,,Thanks

On New Years Eve , I shopped at the Publix Store Summit Point in Fayetteville Georgia , I have shopped there a number of times never had a problem until tonight. I purchased a bottle of Champagne for me and my husband to toast in the New Year hopefully it will be a better year than the previous one. I called the Publix because the very expensive bottle of champagne was not in any of the grocery bags. I had my son search my Van again to make sure. I called the Publix and spoke to the assistant manager and the manager and they made it seem that I was making it up and that I actually took the bottle of champagne . Why would I be calling ??? I have better things to do on New Years Eve ... Well I never got any resolution as usual they told me that they cannot refund my money , this is outrageous !! I will never shop there again Walmart & Kroger here I come!!!

It is Christmas morn and my daughter and I were watching tv. One of your commercials came on. Your company always has wonderful family orieted commercials which we enjoy very much. At the end of the commercial we were thrilled to hear MERRY CHRISTMAS. We appreciate your using that instead of Happy Holidays. Your company has always been a leader in the communities and hopefully other companies and businness will follow in your foot steps. Merry Christmas from us, in Orlando, to you.

I love your super market...many wonderful things. Our family likes macaronni and cheese. I just wanted to let you know you may want to change the type of cheese you use as it is very tasteless.

I was at a store in savannah. while standing at the deli I heard two woman take about do a blow job on their boyfreinds, and blowing bubbles with their semun, what kind of people do you have working for you! never shop there again.

If you are one of the many using food stamps today AVOID THE PUBLIX'S ON MAILBAR RD & SAN FILLIPO.IN PALM BAY FL. MOST OF THE CASHIERS & BAGGING PEOPLE TREAT YOU NASTY , W/ ATTUIDES BECAUSE YOUR USING FOODSTAMPS INSTEAD OF CASH OR #CK. THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND YOUR BUYING THEIR FOOD KEEPING THEM IN BUSINESS & JOBS!!! I TRY TO GO TO ANOTHER STORE BECAUSE OF THIS. I'M SICK OF THE ATTIUDE.

As an employee of your Goose Creek, S.C. store, I must compliment you and your staff on the quality of my fellow workers. It is such a pleasure to work with them and for them. I had been a shopper since the store opened. Now I work for Publix's as a greeter on Senior Day. I would like your staff to know that one of your Customer Service officer's,Alex Freer shows so much caring for his fellow workers. An example the day after Thanksgiving Alex posted a large thank you notice to all for our hard work on behalf of the store. It was posted right next to our time card check in, for all of us to see. It is little things like that show how our superiors feel about us. I for one say Thank you Alex.

My husband and I lived in florida for many years, our children still do. Publix has always been a great experience for us. We love your bakery, your fresh delly products, etc. HOWEVER! We have moved to TENNESSEE!! At first we missed publix, but Lo and Behold!!! to our delight, they did open several Publix super markets in TN. We live far, but travel up to two hrs. every 2 to 3 mos. just to get our bread and other things we can't get anywhere else. THE PROBLEM IS,...publix refuses to compete with other store prices. I know the quality is better in publix but untill the public gets to know you, you must compete. Especially with your biggest competitor that is Kroger, not Wallmart. Yesterday,...Thursday we went to Publix in MT. JULIET, Pears were $1.99 a lb. and both the pears and plums were getting too ripe. Lower the price and get rid of them instead of discarding them. Ad match, just give the competition a hard time. Advertise more, you're tough in Florida, Why not here in TN. You know how to do it! I just fear that you won't make it. They just opened a new Kroger Supermarket in Mt. Juliet, just a few blocks from Publix. It was packed! We just don't want to looose you publix. We just found you! Perhaps its not your Tennessee time yet. What do you say?

I HAVE BEEN SHOPPING AT PUBLIX FOR ABOUT 12 YEARS, THE ONE ON ATLANTIC BOULEVARD JUST A FEW BLOCKS FROM THE BEACH. FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS THE SERVICE HAS BEEN DETERIORATING ESPECIALLY IN THE DELI DEPARTMENT. LAST WEEK I WAITED ALMOST ONE HOUR ALL THIS FOR A POUND OF BOLONGA. THE PRODUCE DEPARTMENT IS ALSO BAD, THREE TIME I HAD TO RETURN A BAG OF POTATOES THAT WERE ROTTEN WITHIN A WEEK AND EVERYBODY KNOWS POTATOES DO NOT SPOIL THAT QUICKLY. TODAY I WENT TO SHOP AND I FIRST DECIDED TO BUY A HOAGIE BIG MISTAKE.... THERE WERE TWO GIRLS AHEAD OF ME AND I WAITED MY TURN, WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO PLACE MY ORDER, ANOTHER PUBLIX EMPLOYEE CAME UP TO THE GIRL WHO WAS MAKING THE SANDWICES AND INTERRUPTED HER AND STARTED TELLING HER ABOUT A PROBLEM THAT THE MAN WITH HER HAD WITH HIS ORDER. IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING THE SANDWICH GIRL WALKED AWAY AND LEFT ME STANDING THERE LIKE A JACKASS. NO ONE CAME TO REPLACE HER UNTIL I STARTED SHOUTING WHERE IS THE SERVICE HERE?? FINALLY SOME OTHER GIRL CAME & MADE MY SANDWICH, I DEMANDED TO SEE THE MANAGER & WAS TOLD HE WAS UNAVAILBLE, FINALLY ANOTHER GIRL WENT AND GOT A MANAGER, HE CAME RELUCTANTLY & ASKED ME WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS & I TOLD HIM WHAT HAD OCCURED AND THAT THIS WAS NOT THE FIRST TIME, IN FACT EVERYTIME I WENT TO THE DELI IT WAS A BIG PROBLEM AND WHAT WAS THE PROBLEM WITH THE EMPLOYES IN THE DELI THEY ARE DOWNRIGHT NASTY TO CUSTOMERS. THIS IS NOT MY EXCLUSIVE OPINION SINCE THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE IN MY BUILDING WHO DO NOT SHOP THERE ANYMORE. THE MANAGER SAID THAT HE WOULD REVIEW THE TAPE AND FIND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, I DID NOT FEEL THAT HE WAS SINCERE AND HE WAS JUST TRYING TO PLACATE ME. PUBLIX DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS BUT THEY HAD BETTER SINCE THEY ARE LOSING CUSTOMERS TO WALMART AND ALBERTSONS. I SHOP AT OTHER PLACES SINCE THE SERVICE STARTED GOING DOWNHILL AT PUBLIX AND I DRIVE PAST THE PUBLIX STORE AND GO OUT OF MY WAY TO SHOP ELSEWHERE. THE ONLY REASON I STOPPED THERE TODAY WAS TO BUY A SANDWICH AND I AM SORRY THAT I DID. THE MANAGER DID NOT DO ANYTHING TO MAKE ME BELIEVE THAT HE CARED THAT I WAS UPSET BY THE WAY I HAD BEEN TREATED. IF I HAD BEEN ME, I WOULD HAVE TRIED TO SOOTHE THE CUSTOMER, MAYBE THAT IS NOT THE WAY PUBLIX EMPLOYEES ARE TRAINED BUT THEY SHOULD BE. I STARTED READING THE REVIEWS FOR PUBLIX AND WHAT AN EYEOPENER, I AM NOT ALONE IN MY OPINION. I AM SENDING A COPY OF THIS INCIDENT TO CORPORATE AND I DO EXPECT A RESPONSE. THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED AT THE POMPANO BEACH STORE ON ATLANTIC BOULEVARD TODAY AT APPROXIMATE 4:20.

This is to let u know that the seafood dept employee Doug adamson at ur fruitville store in Sarasota is excellent. Anytime we ask him about any of the selections he is accurate and knowledgable . Courteous and a real good person with people skills. He is very particular how he displays the seafood, always looks appealing. This is my first note re any publix employee

On saturday, Nov. 27,2010 I went to do my weekly grocery shopping at Publix located at 155 E. 2nd Ave, Hialeah, Fl. I purchased an Overland Cake at $5.99 but when I got home and checked the sales receipt, low and behold, I had been charged $7.99!! Publix had stolen $2.00 from me. I returned to Publix using my own time and gas and talked to the store manager, Mr. Ortega, but before I did, I had the cake scanned again and found out that it was still $7.99 to the detriment of other unsuspecting shoppers. Mr. Ortega had not bothered to change the Price on the Mainframe. I got my $2.00 back with no apology. This behavior is unprofessional, untherical, unconcionable and downright STEALING from the same customers who keep Publix in the black. By the way, this is the THIRD time that Publix has STOLEN money from me. Obviously, I will present my complaints to the Consumers department and to the Florida Attorney General. Publix should pay me for my time and gas for returning the cake.

11/28/2010 Dear Sir/Madam: I was checking out today at your store at 840 Glynn Street, S, Fayetteville,GA, when a man started reprimanding a packer in front of myself and other customers. I looked at the packer and said that was very rude, the packer said nothing, I said where did he go, he said he's standing back there, which was a few feet away, I walked over to him, and told him, the next time you want to reprimand someone, you don't do it in public, it's very rude. He said he was sorry and i left, I came home, and i was irate, how dare he do this, to a man who was obviously older then him, try a little respect. I returned this morning, because I thought there was an error on my receipt, there was not, I spoke with I think the Manager, and asked if that manager, apologized to that packer, he said no, but I spoke to him, and he's not a manager, he is a coordinator. So I guess he thinks that's ok, on my my receipt, it reads store manager: Curtis Beaver. I was there at 10:51 a.m. and my cashier was Tristen, which was very pleasant, along with the packer. The southern charm, sure did show this morning, I hope you will address this immediately. Sincerely, Andrew Shontz

I went into store# 1059 Montclair Rd. I went into the store on a Saturday to pick up a cake for a coworker who said the person who ordered the cake for her was unable to pick it up at the time and asked if I would pick it up for her. I entered the store locating the baker to my right time you enter, and went to se Jill for this said cake. I received this small 8" cake in this HUGE celebrate box with this invoice taped down to the box. I left the store out of the same entrance doors I came into heading to my car. As I was placing the large cake box into my 645 BMW passenger door I was approached by this black male dressed in white button and black slacks with NO NAME TAG saying,"DID YOU PAY FOR THAT CAKE"?,I replied no I didn't, I was not aware I was to pay for this cake. I was told to pick it up for a coworker and everything was already taken care of. So he asks for my receipt and I informed him I didn't have a receipt all there is a this invoice that is taped to this cake box. Once he pulls the invoice off the box the bar code and cake decription is on the back of the invoice. So not only have I been accused of stealing this $29.15 cake I have been humiliated, and embarrassed while everyone in the parking lot looks as I am escorted back into the store. I go back to the bakery and speak with Jill (co-workers friend) and ask her why did she not tell me I was to pay for this cake that i was told was taken care of and to just pick up. The customer service cashier was very apologetic as the black male stood closely behind me watching as I paid for this $29.15 cake with not a mumbling word to say. I have never been more angured by the way a situation was handled than this one here. I have not only told family members about this but I have told everyone of this incident and I will NEVER go back to this Publix on Montclair Rd again to be accused.

To Whom It May Concern: I am an employee at Publix store#730, and I wish not to speak my name at this time . I am writing to let someone know that some of the associates here at this store is very unfriendly and rude and they have no respect for other associates. There are so many situations at this store that’s going on and no one is bothering to do anything about it. 1) The survey box has been tampered with some of the customer service staff is pulling the surveys out that are bad. 2) We have( Jessica Macfarland )who is very nasty to other associates and it’s getting worse she talks to associates like she runs the show. 3) We have some associates who are cool with the front end staff who can do whatever they want. 4) The Customer Service Manager (Marie Sarr) really controls everyone, she has no respect for associates except for the ones she like. She acts like a big shot and horasses associates all day long. 5) The Store Manager(Katherine Kennedy) allows all this stuff to go on even when she knows that things are not right, she allows her associates to treat people any kind of way. She plays games also she’s in with the same crew that has no respect for other associates. 6) There are Cashiers who scan customers groceries but do not even say hello as their scanning the customers groceries. The customers complain to the store manager all the time and she still doesn’t do anything about it , because she shows favor to some of the cashiers which allows them to do whatever they want when they want. 7) Last and formost you have some customer service staff who treats customers like the customer doesn’t come first I have watched some customers get angry because the staff has an attitude problem, I have seen customers have to wait at the service counter longer than 10min. 8) If this is how you want associates to treat customers then don’t pay any attention to this letter but if you want things to change please check out what is going on in this store. The people in this store is not running things the way Publix wants customers to be treated. P/S Just letting someone know about this store

Have shopped at Publix for almost 30 years on SR 70, Sarasota and University Pkwy. Wonderful Stores !! Always had excellent Service. Have suggestion to make ! The Publix Premier Ice cream Carton was recently changed and the Premium Vanilla. Homemade is difficult to quickly recognise ! this is great Ice Cream and I'm sure would sell more if the words "HOME MADE" were in much larger Bolder print !! A helpful assistant found it for me but I had missed it on 2 previous visits ! Thankyou for your consideration.

I have always loved shopping at Publix. The Best store is in Ocoee Florida. They have the old time service attitude of talking with the people. Focusing on what ever the customer needs. Love shopping there although its way out of my way. (5 STARS) The store on Orange and Michigan in Orlando is my next favorite store. Pharmacy people are great and will always take my prescriptions there. Again people have that past attitude of talking with the customer upbeat attitude etc. Love that store. Leadership pays attention to when more lines need to be open. Five Stars Now for your problem store. The store on Mills in Orlando is awful. Public employees rarely talk with you because they are too busy talking with each other. No offer of help. Produce not as good. Bought a bag of Oranges for over 5 dollars and they were awful. However, the bakery people are very supportive in that store. 2 STARS. Don't loose that "Publix where shopping is a PLEASURE" mentality. Thank you for passing the word on.

ON 10/21/10 The Publix in Naples,fl in East Naples and Collier Blvd. They were awaiting the big wigs, I have never seen so many cashiers when there company showed up everything they looked at was a show then it goes back to the way it was once the corp.company leaves . I thought publix had a policy were they could not have so many family members In the same store, We are talking about 10 people that are related. what is a person to do when there service really sucks.
