ORDER SOME FABRIC ON 10/22 IT WAS SUPPOSE TO SHIP 7 DAYS WELL TODAY IS 11/8 5 PHONES CALLS LATER IT SUPPOSE TO BE HERE 11/28TH, WELL I WAS WAITING FOR THE FABRIC TO HAVE MY SOFA UPHOLSTERED FOR THANKSGIVING, SINCE I WAS HAVING FAMILY OVER MY HOUSE, THE PERSON THAT WAS DOING THE WORK HAS BEEN WAITING. AND NOW THE BP STAFF DOESN;T REALLY KNOW WHEN THERE OUTSIDE VENDOR WILL BE SENDING.GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUT BAD BUSINESS WITH THIS VENDOR. I WOULD HAVE GONE SOMEWHERE ELSE. NOW I HAVE TO USE A COVER TO PUT ON MY FURNITURE.

Worst in store customer service ever. Shopped the King of Prussia P.B. looking for a bridal gift. My niece created a bridal registry. P.B. is NOT equipped to fulfill bridal orders. They did not have a box for a three tier cake plate- so the associate (who assured me that they did have a box) shoved it sideways into a box that was too small and gave me paper and an odd gift tag to wrap myself. What a disaster. Don't do bridal registry if you can't offer the service and ability to wrap a gift. Shame shame Pottery Barn. Taking my business elsewhere. There are too many other fine stores to shop for a gift!!

Long story, but I'll try to break it down (I'm still going through this hell): Ordered a chair/ottoman in August 2011 Got notified about the ottoman shipment last minute and could not get a tracking number at first (took some tug of war to get it; was told the vendor doesn't give that info out initially and miraculously got the info from a different rep) and I had to stay home from work since I did not want the ottoman to get stolen. At the time, I was told that I should get contacted about the chair on Oct. 20th. I wondered why did I get the ottoman solo? I was overcharged for both the chair and ottoman as well and had to go through the ringer by showing proof to get credited the difference and they offered to credit me $95 once the chair is delivered. In-Home delivery service gave me two delivery day options and it had to be during a work week, not over the weekend b/c they don't deliver in my area over the weekend. I was pretty peeved about this b/c I wasn't aware that this would be the case. I've had furniture vendor deliver on the weekend, which is better for me b/c I work full time, M-F. I begrudgingly picked Oct. 19th. I was told that I will get notified Oct. 18th on the delivery timeframe. I called in-home delivery since I had not heard from them and it was almost the end of the work day. Initially I left a message followed by two more follow up calls and finally reached a live person. I was told that the chair has a hole in it and pottery barn is supposed to call me; the vendor had spoken with pottery barn an hour before. They NEVER called. I called pottery barn and told them what I found out. I asked how long I'm going to have to wait for the chair. I was told that they will find out from another vendor in two to three business days. I had no idea that in-home delivery would be inflexible! Had I known that my time would be raped from me like this, I would have never ordered in the first place! Yes, they plan to compensate me once the chair is delivered ($95); however, I don't feel like that's enough. I've seen MANY complaints, a lot centered around delivery issues. I hope someone high up listens and makes an effort to change this twisted way of doing business! Deliveries should be scheduled around the customer's schedule, NOT the other way around!!!

I ordered two Studio Wall Shelves in Antique White on September 20, 2011 and received them on September 24, 2011. They arrived, via UPS, in perfect condition. My husband put them together and hung them on our wall in our office. They are absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to add my books, framed photos, odds and ends to beautify the office! To those people who have said, "Pottery Barn's Customer Service is rude and unresponsive;" I say this, "If you speak kindly when calling a customer service representative to any company, you will receive the kindness back."

What do customers expect when you pay outragious prices for things that are made by very such poor people in another country. It is not the workers fault but Pottery Barn who is only too happy to exploit the poor and not manufacture in America. BUY AMERICAN!

I called Pottery Barn Kids in Portland,Oregon where we live after my granddaughter finally found the backpack that she couldn't live without. Also they are the only store that has a Star Wars Backpack. So we have 1 large choclate rabbit,1small star wars and 1 retro lunch kit. I placed my order on the 1St of September and was told that the items were being put in the mail as we speak. Now I live 130 miles away from this store, So this is Thursday a.m.. School does not start until Wednesday, so we have plenty of time for the mail to get the items here. So now it is Tuesday and I go to the post office and there are no packages from Pottery Barn. Hmmm, this is troubling, so when I call them, I get the excuse well you know it was a holiday weekend. Whoa don't go there I talked to you on Thursdayyou told me as we speak you are getting these ready to be put in the mail. Now it is Tuesday and they are still sitting in your store. Gee we are really sorry, but with the holiday weekend you know how things go. No what I know is that I have a 3rd grader upset that she Does Not have her Backpack, and lunch kit. I also have a 1st grader upset that he Does Not have his backpack. So then I get the smart answer of well our shipping manager could talk to them. No really and explain What? That they were sitting right there and heard them say that they were putting their things in the mail for them, but they did not do this. To a third and first grader, these people have lied to them. So explain that one away. It amazes me that my transaction went throught though. but my order sat on a table all weekend, but could not get put into a box and have a lable put on it that takes all of 10 minutes worth of work. So let's work Harder at doing our job better, and not making excuses to children when you drop the ball. I teach my grandchildren if you say you are going to do something then you follow through. You are only as good as your word. Mrs. Leese

Pottery Barn has done it again! Second time I didn't receive email notification I had a bill to pay! Then they charge a late fee & I waste an hour of my precious time speaking to the credit card billing company to get the fee removed! So they remove the fee after talking to the supervisor. Something's up when this happens twice in a few months. They really need to get their act together or they will no longer be in business. I'm very leery about ever doing business with them again!

Pottery Barn Kids customer service department is a joke. They CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD $ 1,677.33 FOR A BEDROOM SET I DID NOT AUTHORIZE TO ORDER. Thank God, I was randomly checking my email when this pops up in my inbox “Pottery Barn Kids thanks you for your order #XXXXXXXXXXXX”. Furious, I immediately called customer service and CSR who answered the phone was absolutely no help whatsoever. Hang up, same thing, second CSR was no help. Finally, I demanded to talk to a supervisor after waiting 30 minutes or. I explain my situation on what had happen and the supervisor said she would cancel the order but it was only like a 98% chance the unauthorized charge would cancel. I wouldn’t be so upset, if I was trying to cancel something I had authorized to buy. It originally starting when I was trying to get a 10% off promotion code I received in their latest catalog to work online. I was trying to do a cost comparison between two different bedroom sets I was thinking of buying for my son. So, I called the PB customer department to get some help on getting this promo code to work. They instructed me to enter the source code on the back of the catalog. That didn’t work, so the CSR rep said you could get me a total, but needed my credit card number. I made it very clear I just wanted a total and didn’t want to purchase the bedroom set. I just want a grand total with taxes, shipping, surcharge after the 10% promo code has been applied. While it didn’t happen that way, the CSR created the order without my permission. I have been on the phone for over 4 hours trying to straighten out this mess. The worse part is, I still don’t know if it’s even cancelled. I credit card says pending and supervisor says I need to call back tomorrow morning to confirm if the cancellation request work or not. Please, DEAL WITH THE STORES ONLY!!! THE ONLINE POTTERY BARN CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE!!!

Buyer BEWARE!!!!!!!! If you are expecting then DO NOT purchase beds from pottery barn and expect them to actually get to your house before the babies are born! Our beds were purchased in May and supposedly to be delivered no later than 8 wks, about July 15. They are still not delivered - but the "twins" are ready to come without any beds for them to sleep in!!! It has been a nightmare to deal with PB and then the shipping company - they both are slower than Christmas and not as thoughtful as my dog. I always would love to go shopping at Pottery Barn until this has happened. I will spread the word in any method I can. We need to stop shopping at PB so maybe they will get the picture that service is what gets you where you need to be- not just a name.

I would give zero stars if it were an option. I ordered a lamp and after 1 week on "in process" ststus I called customer service and was lied to. They said the item would definitely arrive on such and such date. After reading a lot of bad reviews online my husband called the next day to see what was going on. He was told the item was not in stock! He told them to cancel the order and found out that they had charged the credit card the second they got the order. They took an order for an item they knew they did not have. Pottery Barn is running an online scam to keep your money as long as they can. They did not cancel the order or issue a refund as promised so now we have to go through our credit card company for help. A business is not supposed to even charge your card until the item is ready for shipment. I am totally convinced that they are running a scam to keep a customers money. They tried to get my husband to agree to let them try to find the lamp at one of their stores. He told them NO and they lied and told him they had issued a refund when they did not. He was put on hold numerous times while she consulted with someone. I have spent a lot of money in their stores for many years, but I will not do business with these con artists again!

I purchased a Swivel Desk Chair from Pottery Barn for home office use. One of the rubber wheels has cracked and fallen off rendering the $399+shipping+tax chair unusable. I contacted Customer Service only to be told that "other people have had the same problem". They are unable to provide a replacement wheel and referred me to FurnitureMedic.com, a company familiar with their products, who might be able to help me locate a replacement. This is not the Pottery Barn I have dealt with since its inception. I have had issues before and they have always been resolved to my satisfaction. In my experience, this is the first time PB has dropped the ball - and it'll be the last. As much as I like their merchandise, there are other companies out there ...

In 2009 I purchased a PB Basic sleeper-sofa for 2,000. The slipcover was a walnut cotton twill. I really like the sofa but one day I took off the slipcovers to wash them. I put them in the dryer with the intent to dry them about 10 minutes to get the wrinkles out. To my huge disappointment they shrunk so much there is no way to get the slipcover back on the frame. For 850.00 I can order a new one. UGH!!! I can't afford that amount and I could get a new sofa for that amount. Has anybody else experienced excessive shrinkage in their slipcovers and what did they do about it.

I ordered something for a birthday party 2 weeks before the party. with 5-7 days advertised promise of getting the product, this should have been plenty of time. However, after a week of the order's status of "In process", I was getting nervous, so I called Pottery Barn, who gave me a tracking number, and assured me it would get to me by Friday before my party (on Sat). I called again on Monday, since the order still says "In process", in which I was again reassured that I would get it in time. I stated that I am calling to give PB enough time to address the issue if needed (expedited shipping). I finally got an email the next day saying that my product had shipped, but on the UPS site, it states that the shipping label has been produced, but no estimated date. I again called to inquire status (3rd call), and the operator said that there was nothing she could do until there was no movement for 2 days (which would be too late for her to do anything anyways for my product to be delivered ON TIME). She told me to call back in the morning (4th call), in which I did, and this operator is telling me that my product is STILL AT THE POTTERY BARN WAREHOUSE. WHY WAS THIS PROBLEM NOT ADDRESSED ON MY 1ST CALL. POTTERY BARN SHOULD HAVE JUST EXPEDITED THE SHIPPING TO ENSURE I GOT MY PRODUCT ON TIME. IT HAS TAKEN 4 CALLS, WITH NO RESOLUTIONL. I WILL NEVER ORDER ANYTHING ONLINE FROM PB AGAIN. I EXPECTED MORE OUT OF THIS COMPANY.

Very unhappy with their product! I purchased blackout panels for my daughter's room & decided to wash them per the instructions. My goodness did they shrink two inches & the inside lining was longer than the outside material. I called the store & she asked me to pay for another set to be shipped from another store, return the destroyed one once I received the new ones, and then I can get a refund. Really?! That made no sense to me at all as the store was not close to my home. I called the corporate office and expressed my major dissatisfaction. I was told that the regional manager wad going to call me. She never did. Only the store manager & then agreed to ship me my drapes & refund me me my immediately without having to return the damage drapes. I feel that the customer service is horrible. I've had better service from a lower end retail store. Will never shop there again!

Customer Service from Hell! PB delivers there due bills after the due date then add excessive fees to your bill. Then they are quick to harass you for money owed. Pottery barn is total garbage from CSR to banking procedures posting your payment late and or bill late!

Worst service ever! Customer service is horrible!

I ordered a sisal color bound rug from Pottery Barn using my rewards certificate,it was a piece of CRAP! The edges curled up and people were tripping.i spokw with a customer service rep who ASSURED me that I could return the rug and get another(hopefully not defective also). The rug was returned, but they would not honor the promise of sending another rug. this place has the absolute worse cusomer service ever. The prices are inflated and the merchandise is junk. I have paid a quarter of the price of that rug at for one at Wal-Mart.The Wal-Mart rug is much nicer ,better quality. I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on furniture at this store, but they will never get another dime from me. SAVE YOUR $$$$$

I used to be "in love" with Pottery Barn and their merchandise. However, I too have had the same problems with my reward dollars. Ordered an item that turned out to be out of stock 2 weeks later- The rewards had expired. The sale merchandise is ALWAYS the same and I emailed them way back when in respect to the pricing and how expensive they were compared to say a " Home Goods" where you can decorate the same room for probably a 10th of what the Pottery Barn charges. Also, visiting their stores is not a fun experience at all- most "fun" items are internet only- why bother???? Here's to you Pottery Barn hoping that you will one day see that a reputation is only as good as what stands behind it!!!!

I spent several thousand dollars to purchase Outdoor furniture. I bought the six piece sectional couch, a console, coffee table, side table, 8 chairs, and table. Apparently it left Houston on April 25th and has yet to arrive in Jackson as of May 11th - I was told it was due to weather issues...3 weeks due to weather...i've called everyday asking where my furniture is and no one in customer service can seem to find it except to say it's not in our system yet. If I sent a truck with furniture 3 weeks ago and was not able to find it - I think i would be concerned. I've asked every time I've been on to speak with the customer services manager. Each time I was told they would call within 24 hours. Which they never did. And when I had them on the phone, I asked if they'd walk down the hall to get their manager on the phone and they said they had left for the day (at 1 in the afternoon). Then I asked to speak to the logistics manager of the furniture department - to be told they were gone for the day (at 1 as well) and they were the only person in the entire company of pottery barn that could help me. Call back tomorrow. This is absolutely the WORST customer experience I've EVER had and will NEVER purchase another item from pottery barn or pottery barn kids ever again. Still no furniture...

Well I know most folks only post the bad news, but let me share some outstanding news. My wife and I purchased some furniture through the Annopolis Mall in Maryland, store# 96 and the service manager at that location, understands the meaning of "service". She was able to address our concerns and make appropriate price adjustments on the couch, love seat, ottoman, 2 side tables and a coffee table. "Pamela" was professional, curteous, understanding and willing to work with us to our full satisfaction. I want to ensure she receives special recognition for her great attitude and friendly service. Thanks for an outstanding job Pamela!
