My wife and My 2 children took me to dinner for my birthday and bought a gift card and was going to use it with the free 5 dollars when she attempted to she was told it was no good until the next visit so she asked to speak with the manager Who came over with an attitude and also told my wife it was corporate policy and we could not use our gift card. So my wife asked well what if we bought it this morning would we be able to use it and was told Yes my wife asked whats the difference Where the manager said once again corporate policy and my wife said thats how you lose customers and the lady proceeded to raise her voice to my wife. My wife told her she was not a good manager and dont know how to take care of customers and the lady then told my wife that she was rude and just walked away. We left and will never go to the Oswego ny ponderosa again

I went to the Ponderosa Steakhouse located at 12450 St. Charles Rock Road in Bridgeton, Missouri this evening with my fried. Ordered my steak at 5:07pm. Went to sit down and it took the waitress 15 minutes to get our drinks. When my steak came it was ordered medium rare. It was so rare that it was raw totally on the inside. I sent it back to be cooked longer, thinking that it would take about 5-10 minutes. 30 minutes later they came and said they were going to cook me another steak. I could see by the expressions on the cooks and the waitress faces that they gave my steak to someone else. 20 minutes later the manager came with a different steak just as I was getting ready to walk out. She said the delay was because the way I ordered my steak and ask me to try it to make sure it was now ok. I cut just the outside of the steak and it seemed ok so she left right away. After I made a second cut I found out that it was as rare or even worse than the first one that they gave me. My friend was already finished eating as it is now 5:55 pm. Screw this place. I just got up and left. Too much clowning around in that place between the waitresses and the cooks. If they are that stupid and can't cook a steak medium rare they need to go back to school. The place is a joke and the manager needs to be fired along with the cooks. The reason it took so long to get my steak was because the way I ordered it cook.......right! Just because she is stupid doesn't mean everyone else is. I won't go back there and I recommend you don't either. Won't ever go back there again.

November 15th 2011 the Ponderosa in North Syracuse New York hosted a FREE Buffet for all military and veterans. Free drinks and free buffet. No one was limited to how many trips to the buffet they made. I have eaten at this resturant before and will do so again. It is always very good there, but I was particularly touched by this show of generosity to the servicemen and women of this great country.

Two people stopped at the Dubois, PA Ponderosa at 3 pm on Sunday, Oct 30. The inside was clean & orderly, BUT I had stomach discomfort BEFORE I even left. 4 hrs later, we still felt unsettled & not hungry. In fact the smell of Pizza almost did me in at 5pm. Around 10 pm my Aunt got terrible diarrhea that last over an hour. The only things we both ate were canteloup, gr beans, carrots,mac & cheese & lemon bar. This is the 11-3 and my stomach is still ugky..

My family has had several "bad" experiences with the Ponderosa at 9200 W. Floriisant Ferguson, MO 63137, but this last experience on 30 Oct 2011 was the final straw that broke the camel's back. My sister and her husband recieved eClub coupons for buy one breakfast buffet and get one free. They forwarded the email to me to print for them (their printer is broken). Theefore, on top of both emailed coupons is the line that states To:janedoe@email.net. When this printed email coupon was presented to the cashier she stated that the email was a duplicate to Jane Doe and that duplicate coupons could not be used. My sister tried to explain that situation and pointed out her name and her husband's on each coupon and how they both were forwarded to me. The cashier did not understand and stated that "you people" were trying to get over. Again, my sister tried to explain but my brother-in-law, who was absolutely offended, cut that conversation short and walked out. Needless to say, that store had lost a family that remained faithful despite a lot of "ish".

Stopped in the Kittanning Pa. Ponderosa at 630pm on Wed the 19th of Oct. I had to wait 4 to 5 minutes befor the cashier came from the kitchen. Chose a booth and went for a salad. The plain salad tray was empty so chose a salad with dressing, too strong. Upon returning to table no waitress showed yet. Went for the second plate and a salad with out dressing. Returned to the table and no waitress yet and no water. Eat this salad it was good. No waitress yet. Went for soup and saw the floor was wet and chicken noodles were still on the floor. No waitres yet. Made a fourth trip for chicken wings and potatoes and retured to the table and there was a glass of water and a plate with a piece of chicken and a bake potatoes. This is not the chicken sandwich with tomatoes and onion I ordered. No waitres showed up. Went to the cashier and tolder her the order was wrong and she shrugged her shoulders and said I could have either. Re-emphized to the cashier wrong order but she was busy. Went back to the table and waited about 5 minutes, no waitress. Went up for dessert but there was no cheese cake next to the sign in fact there was not much desserts available at all. Went back table no waitress yet. Went back to the cashier and she was busy with customers. So I took 3 napkins to my table removed the siliver ware and rapped up my wrong order and went back to the cashier for the 3rd time and told her I was taking this WRONG order that I paid for and leaving. Also, told her the restrauant has the worse service I ever saw in my life and she agreed. She said "OK". To this day I dont know who was my waitress. I saw people in street clothing waiting on other customers??? Assume they were waitress??? BAD BAD service. THIS RATING SHOULD BE --ZERO!!!!!!!!~! Managentment should CLOSE or hire some waitress that were aprons or uniforms.

Visited you Indiana Pa. location on 10/13/2011. Very poor quality of food the HOT BAR was any thing but hot the food was dried out. The steak i order WELL done was still very very red. Sent it back when in came out it was burnt beyond being eatable ask to see a manager and waited 15 minutes. NO one came my family and I left. I am a working man and didn't go there for something free. I only wanted what I had paid for and that certainly didn't happen. There is a reason we don't frequent chain restauraunts. The food is usually poor at best and the service is shoddy.

When you re-opened the new Ponderosa #880 in Watertown, NY I had high hopes the food would improve. We went several times & it was great! Couldn't believe our area FINALLY had the same quality food as the Pulaski store. Unfortuantely, I suggested my son & I go in on 9/21/11 for supper, I was starving & hadn't been to Ponderosa in awhile. We each had the salad bar and...OMG...it was HORRIBLE! All the vegtables-corn, green & lima beans tasted the same. That is, tasteless. Absolutely back to the same crappy menu the old restaurant had & that was BAD (known for that near & far). My son & I agreed the only tasty items on the menu were the rolls, steak fries & maple bread pudding. Thats' IT. Oh, and the cashier? If she smiled it would crack her face. She's the same one that's been in there on the other occassions I've been & she STILL doesn't smile! Don't know her name, she's heavy set with dark hair & a grouch! I won't be going back to this fairly new store because its become, sadly, once again "Pond-da-gross-a".

Hi, my name is bryan edgar, and i would like to talk to you. i have been to ponderosa steak house in amsterdam, n.y. a few times recently. i am sick of eating the same food every time i go there, and a lot of the time i go, a lot of the hot food is cold and tasteless. there needs to be a better variety of both hot and cold foods. a lot of the time, if i go before 12:00, the soup is cold and i have to put it in the microwave to heat it up. the hot food needs to be hot throughout the day, and we need a better selection. get some chicken and dumplings, peiogies, shrimp, pork chops, spaghetti and meatballs. please get back to me on this.

While in Moorehead, Kentucky on business, I went into a Pondeosa Steak House for lunch. I was the only customer in the restraunt at the time, having entered it just after 11:00 local time -- the time when they opened. I ordered the buffet initially, and then chose to add the T-Bone for my meal. The Assistant Manager of the store took my money, to my credit card, and had me seated. Everything was going well, including the waitresses, the appearance of the food at the buffet bar, and the cleanliness of the restraunt. Then, I got sirloin tips. I told the waitress that this was not what I ordered, and asked to receive what was ordered. This was not done. The assistant manager refused to see me, going into the back room when I tried to approach her about the issue. The staff were unceromoniously sent to me to try to quell my desire to have the T-Bone instead of the sirloin tips. I shared with the staff that they had done marvelously, initially -- which they had. I also shared with them that I wanted to talk with the Assistant Manager, who continued to refuse to see me -- according to the staff she told them to tell me that I would be served the tips unless I wanted to pay (again) for the T-Bone. I asked to have the General Manager's phone number, which was refused. I asked to have the district manager's phone number, which was refused. I called my bank, as it was on my credit card, and they told me that because I had signed the charge -- despite the fact that the order was wrong and errantly charged and thus errantly filled -- I still had to pay the bill. I left. I have tried to reach corporate headquarters, and have not been afforded a return phone call or any attempt to rectify this situation. Therefore, I would highly discourage any one from going to this restraunt again -- either in this particular town of Moorehead, KY, or anywhere. They are good when they are right, but they have an arrogance that is rarely surpassed when they are wrong, and have continued to refuse to refund the money, rectify the situation, or even so much as an apology.

We travel back and forth from Rochester, NY and Cape Vincent,NY and stop at Ponderosa in Oswego for dinner. The last time up in August will be the last time stopping at the Oswego Ponderosa. I have used Johnny on the Spots that were cleaner and in better condition then the restrooms at Ponderosa. When you can smell them in the dinning area it is bad. If the bathrooms are in that condition I wonder what the kitchen is like?? My family and I will not be stopping there again. Wonder where the Health Dept.is.

I took my Aunt and Husband out last night to Ponderosa and i thought we were going to enjoy ourselfs but boy i was fooled the inside was really Dirty.I went to the one in Bath New York and here is a list of things that were wrong. 1. Windows were so dirty you couldn't see out 2. Dust on the vents was falling all over 3. moled the food on the wall and wallpaper coming off wall. 4. water spots all over tiles on the ceiling 5. carpets were totally nasty 6. windows over the food was nasty. 7. short walls between areas were dusty and nasty. 8. the door to leave the main area was so nasty was scared to touch it unsanizted 9. chairs need to be cleaned was dusty and sticky 10. some of lights were blowned in the area to see food better 11. trays that bill comes on was nasty and dirty 12. bathrooms were dirty and no toiletpaper 13. holes in the walls 14. food was not hot food. 15. tiles starting to fall loose from ceiling. Then they want to know why there business is going down hill well look at what is going on there then you would understand why no one wants to go there. Bath really needs to start getting on the ball and fixing these problems now. I will not send anyone to a place that should be closed until these problems are fixed. if the state knew about this then i know that the state would close it until it is up to the standreds . The health inspecters should go into this restaurant and see what i am saying and there is others things but you got the main things i saw. thanks for making my evening a living hell.

June 15 at 4:17 P.M we visited the Clare Michigan Ponderosa. We usually stop at Ponderosa when we are tired of fast food and want a complete meal but don' have a lot of time to spare. We were surprised to find the food with very limited choices. We had a choice of three different kinds of chicken that were from lunch and all dried out. No seafoood at all, not even seafood salad The warm vegetables were all mushy. The meatloaf was the only meat that was edible. Pizza was old. Most of the deserts were small left over pieces. Stopped at the Ponderosa in Moorefield W.Va. on June 11th. We were on a bus trip. so the entire bus went in for a meal. We arrived shortly before 4P.m. Everyone one from the bus was inside the building before 4Pm. However while we were being waited on the waitress stopped in the middle of the line and the prices were changed. Now I didn't mind the price change, but it seems to me that the entire bus should have gotten the same price. It is not our fault they didn't get us through the line before the time change. Then they looked at me as though it was my problem. So, based on my visit, how likely will I be to go to Pondertosa again. NO.

This was at the Ponderosa in Uniontown, pa. The very first thing that happened was our order was wrong. The chopped steak dinner that my husband ordered was horrible. It was so tough and dried out. Then we both used the rest rooms, if thats what you want to call it. It was more like an outhouse. FILTHY! The floors leading to the restrooms and the kitchen were were really dirty. The carpet needs replaced or cleaned throughly. I can't believe the health inspector has not cited this restaurant. I really do think that I will be calling a few people to let them know the condition of this restaurant. Also there were dirty dishes piled up on a table across from us, and the waitresses kept piling more and more on the table. How lazy can you be not to carry them to the kitchen!!! Disgusting is what it was. Had I seen what the bathrooms looked like before I ate, I would have walked out. This is the worst I have ever seen this restaurant. I will nnot be going back, and do intend on also calling the corporate offices in Florida. Something definitely needs to be done here.

I want to compliment The Ponderosa in South Louisville which recently had a much needed update. The inside was remodeled and completely done over. The booths are nice and big, plenty of seats, very good food, and servers who take care to see our drinks were filled and our needs met.However, it seems to me the servers should not have to bus the dirty tables of dishes. This is very unsanitary. I don't like the ideal of my server cleaning a table full of dirty plates, glasses, etc., then bringing my drinks to me next.Can't management at least pay a bus boy a few dollars to do this, freeing the servers to tend to the customers? This is very much needed.Think of the germs this practice is spreading...not appetizing.

In a time when too much salt in our food is said to be unhealthy, we have a chicken supplier to Ponderosa at Washington, Mo. who is piling it on. I like salt, but fried chicken portions served up at this restaurant are inedible and yet the staff say 'no one else has complained.' I would rate the fried chicken as containing about 75% salt content!! The management who appears to be quite competent say it is often hard to change food suppliers because the problem falls into the 'too hard tray.' So given this scenario, I am writing about this matter for the corporate office to deal with. I will ask for a refund next time? if the salty chicken supplier is not found and taken off the suppliers list.

My family and I visited the Ponderosa Steak house on Telegraph Road in Dearborn, Michigan on 4/9/11. I was so disappointed and the experience was horrible. A family with their four children who were there to dined got the police called on them because the father sent his food back because it was not prepared the way he requested it. The father ask either give me my money or prepare my food as a carry out and I will leave. The waiter made it real clear to the Man that he was NOT going to get his money back or any food. The waiter called the Dearborn police upon there arrival they told the Man to call and complain to the Corporate office and also ask him to leave. The wife was very calm and quite. My family praised her for that because their were four young children with them. My family will never visit this Ponderosa again. Whatever happen to the customer is always right? What a horrible place to eat.

i went to the oswego restaurant and it was a horrible experience i didnt get what i wanted first of all i was led to believe something elseand the food was horrible the potato was dried out and so was the shrimp that was as big as a dime the steak had no flavor and the bathroom was filthy. i have never been so dissapoointed in my life about going out to supper. i was so much looking forward to having a nice dinner celebrating my husband going back to work.we also walked away hungry.and when i complained all that was said was im sorry. they could have at l;east offered us a desert that we couldnt get with our meal.we will never return to that restaurant or any other ponderosa again. im so upset i dont even know what else to say.oh i guess SORRY is the word i want to use.we do know a lot of people and you can be sure that we will tell all of our friends.dont waste your money.
