I'm (or was) a regular shopper at the Pine Ridge Road Petsmart store here in Naples Florida. I can't figure out why it is when you have a coupon for a Buy 1 Get 1 Free product that they NEVER have this food item in stock. It has been now going on week number 8 with it being out of stock, but I can bet that they will have it in when the coupon expires (Feb. 28). I have talked to the management about this and was told that the order was suppose to be in last week but it never arrived, with a shrug of the shoulders. They did finally get an order in a few days later but of course not the one that is for the bogo, and to top it off the order/price tags came up missing, so now there is only 1 variety to pick from.. I gave up of them and will not be a regular customer of theirs anymore.

Just a warninig to the folks in Jacksonville, Florida. DON'T take your dog to the groomers at the Monument Road location. I took mine on Saturday and they dislocated her knee cap. My sister picked her up from the store at closing on Saturday and 'Bella' was so happy to see her that she didn't complain or show any signs until she got home, by that time the store had closed. We called and went back to the Vet Clinic at the store on Sunday morning and found out what was wrong with 'Bella'. After a bill of over 500 dollars they were not able to re-set her knee cap and now we have to see an orthopedic doctor today. Of course PetSmart is accepting no responsibility and not willing to help pay for any of the costs. Guess I'll be speaking to the lawyer today. Just warning everyone, may not happen to you but it could.

THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED, THEY PAY YOU $7.80 AN HOUR AND HAVE THE NERVE TO TIME HOW FAST YOU WORK THEN GIVE YOU A .10 CENT RAISE...YES FOLKS A DIME. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU RECEIVED A DIME RAISE?? LIKE 25 YEARS AGO, WHILE THE COMPANY KEEPS BUILDING MORE AND MORE STORES.

I have been a Petsmart customer for about 20 years. I have taken my dogs as well as foster dogs to Petsmart in Colorado Springs, Denver, Gulfport, Mississippi and Slidell, Louisiana and have always been pleased until yesterday. Yesterday I took two dogs to Petsmart in Pueblo, Colorado, to have their nails filed. These same two dogs have been there every three or four months for a couple of years. This time I was asked for their rabies papers, which I did not have with me and have never been asked for. Then the store manager told me they could work on the boxer mix without the papers because she(the dog) could be muzzled. However, my chihuahua could not be taken care of because they could not muzzle her. I explained the chihauhua is 20 years old, no longer gets vaccines and has no teeth. Still, they could not take the risk of being bitten - store policy. I said it was ashame the store did not have the freedom to decide on a case by case basis - it seemed lacking in common sense. The store manager took this personally and thought I said she had no common sense. Things deteriorated from that point and I drove my dogs across the highway to become a Petco customer. Might I add that if Petsmart is afraid of dogs, perhaps they need to be in another business.

PETSMART POISONS ANIMALS!!!!! According to the management at the Lake Mary, FL Store, it is "CORPORATE POLICY" to dump cat and dog food mixed with kitty litter and THEN OPEN and POUR OUT ALL THE TOXIC CONTAINERS of flea killer, disenfectant cleaners, etc. all over the cat food ("so that it cannot be taken by other people" they say). Thanks to them, 2 kittys that live behind the Home Depot Store next to them are being rushed to the vet for signs of poisoning! PLEASE, PLEASE do not purchase from Petsmart!!! Please check the back of your Petsmart stores for disposals like this! They do not even put a top on the dumpster to prevent wildlife from getting into the poison. This has to be stopped! Shame on you "Corporate Headquarters"!!! I have spent an average of $500/month at this store. NO MORE!

I brought my small dog to petsmart here in Albuquerque,NM to get groomed, and i was very unhappy. I have took my dog here before and they charged me for a small dog, well this time they charged me double the price of what i paid last time. The manager than came out to the floor and completely avoided everything i said. He was very unprofessional and very rude. Thanks to the cashier she gave me a coupon to make things right. I think the corporate office should give this cashier a promotion, and look farther into how the managers are conducting there day to day opporations. Because of this i will take my dog elsewhere.

I was in the Pet Smart store on Porsmouth Blvd. in Chesapeake, VA by Chesapeake Square Mall today around 3:30 p.m. to get some dog food and treats for my dog. I stood by the grooming window for about 10 minutes watching them groom dogs. There were about 6 or 7 groomers and each were woking on a dog, all of them basically small dogs. Three of the groomers were very rough with the dogs and I was appalled that Pet Smart does not monitor the groomers better. One little dog had a cone on his head, I guess maybe so he wouldn't bite. The groomer had his little back leg stretched out and practically all the way up and he was trying to fight her I guess because she was being so rough and she continued to do it. They keep the dogs necks in a loop to keep them standing and every time she went to move the dog she just swung him around. Then she yanked up another leg. They called a manager, and a female, which I assumed was a manager since she responded, was talking to the dog and petting his little head and it calmed down and was wagging his tail. The groomer worked a few more minutes on the dog but apparently did not finish. (If I were a dog and she was yanking me around like that I would have tried to bite her too). Another groomer had a small to medium size dog and had combed his hair down over his eyes then was using clippers going from the back of his head forward rather fast. You could tell he was not being gentle in doing this and looked like he was just banging the clippers into the dogs head each time. Another groomer was grooming a small dog, looked like he did a lousy job then picked the dog up I guess to give it a bath, was not gentle in anything he did. As I walked to the front of the store to look for a manager, the female "manager" that had been in the grooming dept. found a male mgr. and I overheard her telling him that the groomer was unable to finish the dog (with the cone) and called the owner. That manager then went to the back. Then he went into the back of the grooming dept. and never came out. I saw another man and asked if he was a manager and he said yes. He had been bringing in carts from outside when I first walked in and asked if I wanted a cart. He never smiled and looked like he was mad at the world. I told him I had been standing in the back watching the groomers and there were three that were very rough with the dogs and that I would never bring my dog in there for grooming. He looked at me with a totally disgusted look, acting very aggravated that I would dare take his time to make a complaint, and after looking at me a few seconds said alright I will say something again. Then he turned around and ignored me. He never acted concerned or thanked me for my concern over the matter or stating he would look into it right away or anything. I'm sorry I did not get his name but I will recognize him again should I see him. We spend a fair amount of money in Pet Smart, but if something isn't done there, I will be finding someplace else to shop for my pet.

I was at a Pet Smart groomer in Lexington, KY. They put my puppy on the table without cleaning it first. I asked the girl, "Are you going to disinfectant the table in-between dogs? There was an inch of hair on the table. She wiped the hair off the table with her hand onto the floor as I asked. Her reply was "why?" It's just hair. This is disgusting and unsanitary. The kill time for a disinfectant is definitely worth the wait. Yucky!

I regularly go to the PetSmart in College Station, Texas. I have a small poodle who has many health issues, probably from the way they are bred to be so small. That is an issue for another time. Since I have my little guy with the Banfield hospital and he gets groomed there, he is quite well known. I would like to say that the entire staff at this PetSmart are the most professional and courteous group of people it has been my pleasure to meet. They go out of their way to see to my little guy's needs and they are always happy to see my little Leo. When he is in the hospital there, I never have to worry that he is neglected. The whole staff goes through at one time or another to keep Leo company or give him hugs and attention. Leo truly adores his PetSmart family and I am so thankful that we have them there for this little one. His doctor, Dr. Eckman, is never too busy to see Leo and has let me know that if I need to bring him in that he will make the time for Leo. What a nice man! I am very grateful for our PetSmart family and the love and care they give my little one. It kind of made me laugh a few weeks ago when people from your headquarters were in the store and saw a picture of Leo with one of his PetSmart buddies. I was told that you have a policy that pets are not to be allowed above the neck. If that is true, and I think it might be a good policy because you never know about some pets, I can understand the comment that was made about one of the employees holding my dog and Leo was giving this person kisses. What I thought was priceless was the comment, "Oh, that's just Leo." Leo is the most loveable little person and he does adore his PetSmart friends. Some of my favorite pictures are of Leo giving lavish affection to his best friends. I could go on and on about what a fantastic group of people who work in that store. Again, I commend you for having such a great group there and we are proud and honored to call them our friends and to have them be a part of Leo's family.

I have 3 cats and haven't yet shopped at Petsmart, and thanks to all the above letters they don't deserve my patronage. It's really scary to think this stuff goes on and the mucky mucks might be living high on the hog now, but I don't think for long.

I took my dog to Pets Mart here in Midland, TX to have him groomed Dec 4th. We were there at 8 am and the groomer stated that he would be ready at 11 am. I called at 11 and my dog still was not ready. Matter of fact they hadn't even touched him. The purpose of me bringing my dog in early was because I had plans. I asked the groomer how much longer and she stated another 45 minutes to an hour. Pets Mart called me at 12 stating my dog was ready to be picked up. When I got there my dog was shaking reaching for me out of fear and he has never displayed that type of reaction coming from being groomed. Once he was in my arms, fur was on my shirt like they hadn't brushed him. He didn't even smell like he had been given a bath. Then his paw was stain where they clipped his claw too short. Michael the store manager was very apologetic, but the mananger Jimmy for grooming was VERY RUDE!! His co-worker Patty who is a manager even stated that they don't let him deal with the customers. I will never take my dog back to Pets Mart!!!!

Rebecca returns! Store location, Baseline and Power in Mesa, AZ. Rebecca (Manager) dumps her unwanted kittens with Ringworm to the store's non-profit shelter. She informed the shelter to handle the situation. The shelter replied that they could not intake diseased cats due to contamination possiblities. The flat out state "I don't care what you do with them, just take them to the pound and kill them". Now people...I need you to understand...this is a PetSmart Manager who did this! She infected the cats!...She did not give nor donate money to the shelter!...Corporate stands behind her! Reading every blog out there on PetSmart proves how the public is outraged and tired of the crap! PetSmart needs to be taken down and put out of business. Easy to do people...start talking! Get people to make purchases elsewhere! One person at a time...in due time we will conquer!

I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars at PetSmart each year and just recently learned on activistcash.com that PetSmart donates to HSUS “The Humane Society of the US” NOT to be confused with LOCAL humane society shelters. HSUS rakes in MILLIONS of dollars and donates less than ½ of 1% , that’s less than 5 cents out of every ten dollars, to local shelters that REALLY need the money. HSUS is an EXTREME animal rights, NOT animal WELFARE, group that’s goal is to eliminate animal ownership! Can’t understand why PetSmart would cut their own throats and have anything to do with such a group. They will lose allot of business from being associated with such a group and when this group HSUS reaches it’s goal with THEIR help there will be no pets and PetSmart will be out of business!!! $1.00 to a LOCAL shelter will do 20 times that of $10.00 to HSUS. Donate DIRECTLY to your LOCAL SHELTERS OR RESCUES and it will do HUNDREDS OF TIMES MORE GOOD! Shame on you PetSmart!!!

I was at the store on October 2, 2010 and the kittens and cats are living in complete disgust and the odor in the enclosed room was so overbearing that I got a headache in the first 60seconds that would explain why otherwise playful kittens and cats were lethargic and unresponsive.

I Had Been A Ex Groomer - Employee Of Store #1265 as will as Store #1281 And A whole lot of What Is being Written down on this Web page .Is so true I was one of those Employees that our everyday of grooming pets for Pet smart was what we enjoyed Doing and their is maybe 2 to 4 out of 8 groomers who actually love their pets and do think about the safety and the comfort of the pet.But It seems like the more you are concern of a relationship with the pet parent as will as the pet . Pet Smart tends to let those type of Employee's go......Fort Worth Texas

your store in glendora is absolutely the best pet store i have been to ever. the staff is incredible, the store immaculate. my goal is now to become part of your team there. fantastic!! hire me!!!

The other night I had the pleasure of shopping in your store, and I was appalled at the conditions of the environment that housed the fish. There was a live catfish out of water which I retrieved and put back in the tank. In addition, to my dismay, I viewed sentient fish housed with other fish that were dead. Personally, I would hate to be with other dead creatures of my kind. You clearlly need to clean up your act in order that I patronize your store. Please take pride in G-ds creatures!

I have just returned from the Petsmart Store located in Evansville, Indiana for the second time today. I have been a customer of Petsmart since we got our dog, Elle, three years ago. We even went through obedience classes there. I had an appointment today for my dog to be groomed at 10 a.m. I knew they would like to see a copy of my dog's vaccination from this past week, so it took me a while to locate it....I arrived at 10:10 a.m. The groomer, Megan, was already working with another dog, but stopped to look at Elle. She had some mats in her fur and Megan told me they would need to BUZZ Elle. I said I didn't want her buzzed, I wanted the Schnauzer cut that they always give her. Megan said they could not do that. I asked if I needed to take Elle home and comb her out before they would groom....she said I could do that. So, I drove home, spent about 10 minutes combing Elle (with, I might add, a comb I purchased at Petsmart when Elle was a puppy) and then returned. By now it was 10:30 a.m. I went in and Megan said, "I cant take her now, she missed her appointment...you can make another appointment." I know they took a dog in Elle's place to begin with and Megan was working on another dog when I returned, so they lost no time...there had to be a way to work Elle in for her cut and bath. I said, no thanks and went out of the grooming area. I asked to speak to a manager. There was not a manager there, but a young man named James came to listen to my story. I was upset...had made this appointment and wanted her groomed, but after two trips it was now 10:35...and I mentioned this to James. He apologized and looked at Elle and said he wasn't a groomer, but thought she looked fine...I had removed every mat in her fur. He said the manager of the grooming section was in the room when I was there, so I said, well, no need to go in to talk to her, she stood right there then and heard the whole thing and said nothing and did not intervene. I just can't imagine that I should have had to groom my dog before Petsmart would groom her....it's like cleaning your house before the housekeeper comes! This whole thing has eaten up an hour of time and is quite upsetting. I am reluctant to return because Megan saw me talking to James and James said he'd have a word with the manager of the store when he returns tomorrow. I don't want to put Elle in Megan's care and I don't want to even see her again....I'm not a confrontational person normally. I just found this to be unacceptable and wanted to let you know of my experience.

i stopped by your store on I45 and 1960,, to get some dog food , the check out person told me i needed one of the stores card,,to get this price, i told her no i do not want a card, so she could not sell ,the Dogfood to me, Petsmart rather lose a customer than overrite the product,, if this is your policy, let me know i will never go into one of your store,,, there are other stores where you do not need a card and the price are not any higher ,,, s

Petsmart located in Mesa, AZ at Hampton and Power Road/Southern Ave. Customers be aware that the Manager, Rebecca is the most unprofessional woman ever known to retail management. It is a shame that in todays economy, with hundreds of people out of work, that Petsmart chooses to hire this woman and keep her employed. This Petsmart location has been dwindling in business over the past year. You would think that Petsmart would realize and start investigating closer at the type of people they have put in charge. PetCo is 1/2 mile up the street and has excellent customer service. As a loyal customer to Petsmart for 40 years I have now taken my business and money to the competitor due to the UGLY ATTITUDE of the manager REBECCA!
