So that no one is confused the vacation request for 7 days off was given 3.5+ months in advance to the incompetent mgmt in the Winchester VA store. I am not the employee.

As a Petco customer for the past 11 years I faithfully bought our 2 dogs their dog food, treats and grooming supplies there, though disappointing to find they no longer honor buy 10 bags/get 1 free; I still continued to shop there. Until this week where I discovered the price gouging between stores and online products. I was in need of K9 Advantix II 55lbs.+over. Petco.com price for 4pk=$41.99 incl. free shipping; 6pk of same dosage online = $61.99(free ship). Due to needing product before online item would arrive, I went to our local Petco to purchase. I found I would have to pay $65.99 for a 4pk - a whopping $24.00 UPCHARGE!! When I questioned the employee, she was too busy to get me through the checkout to inquire with manager. I came home and proceeded to call Petco hotline and was told the stores and vendors come up with price and this price does not have to correspond with online store prices! So to the unaware customer walking into a Petco store vs. shopping online could cost them $20.00?? I have a huge problem with a corporation representing themselves falsely..I understand a few dollars difference but over $20.00...enough reason for my family to discontinue their relationship with Petco.

I had just purchased a puppy and rushed from the breeder to Petco in Chantilly, VA. I had a toddler with me and a new puppy. I needed food for the dog.and several outher things as well,The doors said they close at 9pm but when I arrived the staff said they were already closed, they told me this through locked doors. Another man was behind me that needed dog food as well. It was seven minutes to nine o'clock. It was obvious the staff wanted to get out early, (it was a friday night) they said that they went by their corporate clock and to them, it already said 9pm. The staff was rude and obviously they don't tell time either. I am extremely disappointed in Petco and their staff, I will be shopping at PETSMART from now on, at least they keep the hours they have posted on the door. I am going to write as many reviews about Petco and their rude staff as I can possibly find. Don't shop at CHANTILLY PETCO, rude staff and don't adhere to posted hours. 571-512-2204

the petco in holyoke MASS needs a major overhaul.. all employees are very rude and the management is lacking in leadership this is petco #45 holyoke st holyoke 413 539 9197....if corporate cares at all about your company this and all other complaints should be addressed ... i now shop elsewhere and i suggest more should do the same

Purchase a guinea pig for my great granddaughter for Christmas, it got sick. Got it better and then purchased a guinea pig for my daughter for Easter. The pig has been to the Vet twice with respiratory problems. Petco will not reimburse for the expense even though they were contacted. I personally went in to see the manager and all I got was what do you want me to do????? My daughter called and they hadn't even talked to corporate and refused to do anything and the pig is still sick. WOULD NOT PURCHASE A FIVE CENT ITEM, MUCH LESS ANOTHER ANIMAL. Very poor place to do business with.

I went to PETCO in rosenberg tx on 12 June 2012 i believe its on commercial Drive. I always go in there to get a rat for my pet boa. I look at the new reptiles and i saw to baby ball pythons that looked horrible. One was in the hide in the other was where everyone can see well they both had improper shedding the one that was where everyone can see still had its skin on its eye capsles and the other one had skin peeling all over the place when i told the employee he went and grabbed one of the managers n they put one of them n water. i went back to go look at it again it had no temp gauge or humidity gauge and it looked very dry. And they were on sale for roughly 40 dollars. When i went to go check out i told the other manger on duty as well to keep an eye on the snakes because thats very unhealthy and they can get really sick. She rudly said she has nine of them at home and it's normal i did some research found this link http://www.rcreptiles.com/blog/index.php/2006/10/25/dealing_with_poor_ball_python_sheds_1 And the link said it is not right to have a python shed that way during the summer. i would like for that to be taking care of because them poor pythons do not need a short life spand because a employee can not take care of them correctly. If that is not taking care of i will gladly get some kind of animal endagerment investigation going. Thank You for your time.

The service is ok but the only thing that makes me upset is when you to buy fish they are about 2 dead ones floating in the tanks every time and it happen every tank you look in to

I went into the PETCO on Lee Highway in Fairfax virginia last night and had a really bad experience. The gentlemen who waited on me was wonderful. He had lots of information and lots of suggestions and could answer all my questions. I spent over one hundred dollars. He even got me some free treats that had a coupon in it for the dog food I had decided upon to help me out a bit. The horrid experience began at check-out. Apparently the store closed by the time I got to the cash register and off went the lights. A VERY rude women waited on me and was obviously angry that I was alive and in her store. When she ran over the treats with the coupon without deducting it I told her to please use the coupon. She said well i need it cut out to use it, quite rudely. I said, as I took out my dog waste bag...now thats not a problem, its not the end of the world is it..? She said Yea. I said nothing. I then tried to open the bag to put the treats in the UN-used waste bag as she ignored me..I then asked her for the sissors displayed openly to her right. She handed them to me then I gave her the empty bag so she could have the coupon. I went out to unload my car with my items and another clerk was coming out ready to go home and made some rude commend about the card and begrudgingly took it into the store. WOW? Really? You talk me into buying more then I planned, good plan..then wrap it up in a nice bow of rudeness. Way to go PETCO. I will never shop there again, Pet Smart is my next stop.

Well since your questioning my "expertise" I will give you a break down of my aquarium experience.(Although I do not need to validate it to you or any of your employees but since you questioned my "expertise" with your sarcastic reply I feel the need too) 11 years freshwater and the last 4 years saltwater. With a 55 gallon reef that has been running successfully for the last 4 years. So my "expertise" should be the last thing your worried about. Actually I think that would qualify me to be the most experienced person at Petco every time I walk through the door. I have lost fish,inverts,coral before. Never complained it is what it is. My point is your selling a fish that has a 98% mortality rate in captive aquaria! Bottom line is this fish should be left in the ocean or sold to zoo aquariums with marine biologist on staff. Now lets tackle this "business ethics" Do you remember the old saying the customer is always right?? It was real big in the 70's,80's,90's and even in the early 00's. Let me insult your intelligence this time....If you knew anything about customer service you would understand that 1 dissatisfied customer turns into 10 dissatisfied customers all by word of mouth. I work in rescue. I recently was called by my vet regarding a cute little dog who's owner no longer wanted him and brought him in to be put down. The owner agreed to allow me to find this sweet little boy a "forever" home. I made a few posters to post at my vet's office, and local pet stores in the area, PETCO being one of the stores. Every place allowed me to put the poster up except for PETCO. PETCO sells all kind of animal products but doesn't seem to care about animals other then the money they make selling pet related merchandise. One of the local pet store chains even offered some food for this little dog who is being boarded until a "forever" home can be found for him. Now I would say, that is a store that not only sells pet products but they genuinely care about animals. I was also treated rudely at Petco by one of the sales girls. The manager of the local PETCO said she was sorry but it was a Corporate decision not to allow any postings of animals in any of their stores. I will NEVER spend another penny at a PETCO and I will be sure to pass along this information to all the people I work with in rescue and any pet owner that I know. PETCO YOUR ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!!!!!!

I am really frustrated by the Customer Relations dept. handeling PETCO in the Philippines and obviously the procedures in place!! I have spent hundreds$$$ of dollars on Petco since I rehab and rescue birds and have had horrible experience with getting orders on time for live mealworms. They do not ship (repeat delivery) on time for various reasons and they say one thing and do another. They do not confirm what they say to you with an email as requested..ie, expedited service is guranteed (-- per the supervisor I spoke to and the reps ( more than 6 the last go around!)But I never got it and had to go 50 miles to the nearest Petco for very small worms I had to pay for as the discount was not generated on time. YOU CAN NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY TELL YOU AS THEY WILL NOT EVEN CONFIRM IN AN EMAIL SINCE IT WILL NOT HAPPEN. DONT buy mealworms and expect to have them when you need them from Petco. The Customer Relations is TOO far removed and they don have access to the supplier and cannot stop shipment they send late or erroneously.THEY ARE A MESS!

Petco corp. is the most disorganized corporation I have ever seen. And it is not just the associates that are rude the customers are the rudest customers of any retail organization I have ever encountered !!

The grooming salon in staunton virginia. Petco is beautiful and they do a great job. The employees do a thorough check of your pet then review what service you want before they groom your dog. The salon manager is very experienced and trains her staff to be gentle with your pup. A little higher priced than the local shops but well worth the care your pet recives.

I WILL NEVER SHOP AT PETCO IN RANSON WV AGAIN. I ASK FOR SOME ASSISTANCE. THE MALE EMPLOYEE WAS VERY RUDE. I GUESS THAT HAVING SOLICAL CONVERSATIONS WITH THEIR FRIENDS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN CUSTOMERS.

PETCO did not notify me of the change to their pals program, they changed it to pals rewards where you no longer after making 10 purchases get a coupon for a free bag of dog food. And their cashier was not aware of this change because she told me that i was due a free bag and that the coupon would come via email. PETCO will not follow through.

I am a volunteer for the The Animal Rescue Alliance (T.A.R.A) based in Independence Mo. We have cats house at the Petco 1629 in Overland Park Ks. The store is going to go thru a remodel soon and we have been desperately trying to save our Free Roam Room. It was a large bird area that we were allowed to decorate and set up like a home for our adoption cats, its an open area they can walk around in,lots of places to sit and look out the windows and visit with the public. Not small cages that limits their activity and makes for sad kitties. The public and the store loves this area. The public always comments how nice it is, good for the cats and how Petco obviously cares more about them. You intend on removing the area for more shelves and i understand its a business and a financial decision but i plead with you to please not remove it!! I cant include a picture on here but you should have received our online petition and i am mailing to your corporate office many pictures so you can see what a great thing this is for our homeless animals.. Petco in North Charleston, SC has a very dirty ferret cage. No litter, urine and poop all over. The smell was very bad. I have 2 ferrets, so I know what a ferret smells like. This store on Rivers Ave, Suite E-2, North Charlston, SC doesn't care for their ferrets. I told 2 people who worked there and they didn't care. To me, it is abuse to let animals play, walk or live in their own feces.
