First of all we don't carry "Vans." I'm sorry for the bride, but just remember... most of what happens is NOT the fault of the employee, part time or other wise. I understand that you are not blaming us, but when you go to the store, acting upset and angry at the employee does not help matters. We try our best to solve and resolve any problems and having a customer yelling at us doesn't help. Most of the time if the customer is nice to us (and even when they aren't) we will try to use the resources that we have to correct any error. As far as giving out numbers, some stores only have a DMs private cell number. A corporate number should be available... and can easily be found online (which I, myself, have done before). I'm sorry that your regions have poor structure, but my region gets customer compliments on customer service and we have been trained on the fact that "the customer comes first" and that we must do anything we possibly can to meet the customers needs. There is a lot of behind the scenes things that go on within the store that Payless requires us to fulfill and remember that we work hard too. Just because when you are in the store there might be a lull and you might be the only one doesn't mean that its been dead ALL day. In some cases, yes... but most of the time we just got done managing a mad rush. Think of how you treat others and put yourself in their shoes. Just because we work at Payless doesn't mean that we are low life nothings. Most people I know work to help put themselves through school. Give respect and you shall receive respect. Thank you all for shopping at Payless and come back soon! :)

Hello I had gone into Payless Show Source in Anchorage, Ak at the Sears Mall. I went in there and bought a pair of moccasins which I love. I shop for all of my shoes at Payless shoe source throught Anchorage locations. Anyway, when I was at the cash register a young man name Eric ( Store Manager) whick I didn't see his name on his I asked him for his name after he had me my cash back folded. I looked and said to him your handing my money back folded. He looked at me strange no apology. After i had gotten into my car I called and asked him for his bosses phone number, he said that he was waiting on a customer would I hold on I decided after a few minutes that I would hang up can call back and I did. This is when he told me that he cound't give it out. But I could get online and find it there. I knew this was not true. So I called Dimond Payless Shoesource and a nice lady answered I asked for the manager she said that she is the manager. I asked her for the number and she nicely gave it to me I find this very dispectful especially being a manager. I was not rude to him. I would like to talk to someone concerning this and I plan on taking this situation further Thank You

I am very displeased with the Unforgettable Moments Dyeables. I am a Bride that wedding is in October. I have a large bridal party that consists of 14 bridesmaids . I organized and planned throughly to have them order their shoes from you all. The shoe style that I selected was the Jackie Quater Strap sandal. The dyeable color that was chosen was the Taupe Shimmer #1743. One of my bridesmaid order her shoes and they came back looking lavender. I was very upset! I went in to the local Payless : Westside South Sc (#1250) in Gretna, La 70053 to select the shoe. I also looked carefully at the swatch color book and selected the Taupe Shimmer. I sent out emails to all of my bridesmaids, which by the way, are scattered all over the U.S. informing them that I selected the shoe etc. and they can begin ordering them. After the incident with one of my bridesmaids shoe looking lavender instead of Taupe, I decided to go back into the store to double check and of course the shoe DID NOT match the Taupe Shimmer at all. I am very displeased and upset. This color needs to be removed due to false pretenses and false advertisment. One should not have to go through the trouble of planning and ordering shoes all to just have them come back the "incorrect" color! I will NEVER recommend your dyeables to anyone in the world! I am utterly upset ! One the the sales associates mentioned to my bridemaid that a lot of brides and others have had problems with the Taupe Shimmer color! To cut down on complaints and upset customers I feel as though that color should be completely removed from the book all together. Even when we looked online the shoe looks like the correct color but once it came in it looks lavender. I hope that this matter is resolved! I will make sure coporate office receives a copy of this complaint.

I have been wearing your exercise sandal for 3-4 months now, and I now have a cyst on top of my feet from the strap. I recently went to a podiatrist and he told me to stop wearing your exercise sandal and also the tennis shoe I have bought. I work on my feet all day between 8-12 hours a day and i thought that your exercise tennis shoe would help with my feet. I have been instructed by my podiatrist to not wear any of your exercise shoe that we have been walking the same way since we were born and to stop now would be crazy, that your shoe and everyone that has made a certain exercise shoe is changing the way we have walked for years. My foot now swells everyday which hasn't before i got this cyst on my foot from your strap of your exercise sandal, It's very painful. I will possibly have to get a cortizone shot, and my husband told me that is painful. I will possibly have to get legal advice.

What a horrible shopping experience. Owings Mills, MD-ordered shoes on line and shipped to the store. While waiting for the clerk to find the shoes I started browsing. I found the same shoe I had shipped in another color that I had wanted. The price in the store was $22.99-the same shoe on the website $7.00. The website did not have the size I require but the store did. The clerk would not sell me the shoe for $7.00. She indicated if I brought in the page from the website she would honor the price. I took in the page as she requested-and then told me no she wouldn't sell me the shoes. Another clerk was there and said to her you can not do that. Prior when in the store the clerk called the manager who told her just have me bring the website page and she could sell the shoes for $7.00. When I asked for the manager's telephone number I was told no. When I asked for the district manager's phone number I was told no. Is there any time when patronizing your store someone can say yes? One would think with the "recession" and business not being what it used to be, a company would have their employees bend over backwards to keep a customer-not have them walk out. I would think $7.00 beats a blank-as there was no other patrons in that store, maybe because of the attitude of the so called customer service representatives. Customer service needs to be rethought and taught. Also the word thank you is still a sentiment very rarely used. A customer service training course may be something to be considered. Oh yes, that cost money! I understand why your company may not be able to afford such a course. Remember the "older" days-when the customer was the priorty, not the word no!

I was at the Elk Grove, CA (Bruceville location) yesterday and purchased one pair of vans for my child. I went to the register and the cashier guy must have swipped my card like 4 times, literally. So sure enough I get home and thought about it. The next day the dollar amount was taken out of my checking acct. twice. I call the Payless locationa and the gal on the phone after putting me on hold for like 4 minutes gets another gal on the phone who is apparently the manager. She then tells me she will look into it but isn't sure if she can do anything until next week when the manager gets back from vacation. So now I am out $21.74 and have to wait a week to get it back. This is the problem. Customer Service is obsolete. This is why I don't shop in Elk Grove. I would rather drive clear across town for good service.

I love the fact that you all carry size 12 and 13 womens shoes, but I am just disappointed that some of your cutest shoes stop at size 11 or 12, especially some of the top designer shoes. I truly appreciate all of your shoe selections but I would love it even more if you considered putting more of the cuter stylish shoes in the larger sizes. I know so many people that would buy the shoes!!!!! Thank you and I hope you consider this for the taller younger women who just want a cute shoe!
