Reviews For Olive Garden Corporate Office

My husband and I went to the Olive Garden in Mays Landing NJ it was Sunday May 20, 2012 around 8pm we were greeted very pleasantly by the receptionist and was seated in section 95 we sat there for approximately 25 minutes we where never greeted by our server who had a stretch earring in her ear she walked pass our table 4 times and there was no acknowledgement from her she proceeded to ask her other tables if they were ok with there dinner guest sat down across from us she proceeded to take there drink order and there salad order they looked over at us to ask if we where there before them we stated yes so at this point I had enough I proceeded to ask the receptionist at the front if we could be seated at another station so that I would not have a confrontation with this waitress. I work in Customer Service for over 15 years and was very disappointed with how we where treated by this employee. Overall we did eat dinner it was excellent but this is not the kind of employees that you should have working in your company.

While dining at your restaurant, located on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. Clarksville, TN. We encountered an unexpected guest at our table. A ROACH !!!!!! I had finished my entree and my husband was still eating when this roach came crawling across our table. He immediately lost his appetite, grabbed a napkin squishing the roach. We then called our server over, she immediately apologized and got a manager. While waiting for the manager, we looked around and under the table for any other unexpected guests, we noticed how dirty the the table was behind the salt and peppers shakers, and how dirty the floor was under the table along the wall. The manager appeared and we showed him the roach under the napkin. He apologized for the problem and comped our meals but stated we must pay for the two Blue Moon beers we drank. As a manager of this establishment HE should of offered to pay for our drinks. He didn't!!!!!! We paid our $9.50 tab and left the server a $4.50 tip. Now, mind you, I could of posted this mishap all over Facebook, my husband who is a supervisor for Wal-Mart (on Wilma Rulolph Blvd.) and comes in contact with 100's of people daily could slandered the Olive Garden name, not to mention during all this we were very respectful not to raise our voices and disturb the other customers all of which we could of done and probably cleared out that restaurant.
I'm sad to say we will no longer be dining out at the Olive Garden or any other chain of restaurants for that fact. I was so disappointed how this was handled so unprofessional. Shame on you Olive Garden for making us pay for our drinks when YOU had roaches in your establishment !!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I were at an Olive Garden Sunday - 5/6/2012 - for lunch and when given our
bill was told that we could by filing out the survey online that we could be eligible for the prize drawing(s). I have tried for a few days to fill out the survey but the web pages are non-functioning. I called the restaurant and whoever answered the phone has said that he would contact someone regarding the issue. The survey is still not working. I'm starting to think it is some sort of a scam.

My wife and I just returned from a delightful experience eating at the Olive Garden in Charleston West Virginia located in the Southridge Shopping area. Under the skillful and considerate tutelage of Nick Lowry we had a delightful evening and a most attentive waiter. He picked up every nuance of professionalism and anticipated our every need almost before we asked. The food was delightful and so was Nick Lowry. This rates a 5 star rating for this dining experience.

My son wanted to take me to dinner on Mothers Day. So we set out about 4:30 p.m. at the OG on North Hamilton Road, Gahanna, Ohio. We and his family which we had a 9 year old with us, had to wait 2 hours and then was told it would be another 15 mins. All because there were five of us and they needed to tables to set more people so those that came in after us were seated first. I was so livid that I told the manager that we did not need their little disc thingy anymore we were leaving. We ended up eating at 7:30 p.m. at McDonalds what a disappointing Mother's Day for me and my family. We will never eat at the Olive Garden again. You need to check into new management. Remember Corporate word of mouth travels fast.

Though past visits to Olive Garden have been pleasant - today's visit will be my last. Hoping for a relaxing luncheon with friends who have returned to the area recently we found our visit otherwise. Our waiter, though proficient, was brusque and rather condencending to our questions regarding the menu. Our check was brought to our table shortly after the food arrived (which should have been our first clue as to what transpired next). As we continued to chat and finish our deserts, I was unsettled to notice the waiter (who sported over-sized multi-colored spectales and referred to himself as Elton which we found a bit out of the ordinary for this restaurant. He still wasn't overly gracious)continually walking past our table and at one point picked up the check, and when we informed him that we hadn't settled the check yet he rather quickly placed it back on the table and walked away, no apology. Seconds later, the manager approached our table and asked "is everything was alright ladies?" Our second clue that became obvious since he hadn't stopped at any other tables. We very quickly, and I repeat very quickly paid the bill and proceeded to leave the restaurant. LUNCH LASTED 1 HOUR AND TEN MINUTES TOTALLY. Could this fiasco be because we were lunching at 12 noon and room is to be made for the lunch crowd? The restaurant was by no means packed. What a disappointing episode. We all agreed, bye, bye, Olive Garden. Competition is fierce, especially along the strip of highway where this restaurant is located. Here's hoping you read the reviews Corporate Headquarters customers keep you in business.

I had a horrible experience at an Oilive Garden in Norman Oklahoma. I took my two grand daughters to eat dinner there ,who are Part Sicillian. The Tables had no table cloth, most other OG I patronized had white linen table cloths. One of my grand Daughters spilled a drink and we sat there for 10 minutes until we were able to flag down a buser. and even then he didn't do a good job, he wiped up the spill with a dry cloth and left the table with sticky residue, which I had to go find him and point it out to him. Most other times my dining experience at OG was pleasant and very satisifying. I do all the cooking in my household and I will not try Olive Garden again for a while.

Our family ate at a Olive Garden in Manhattan Beach, CA #1723. It was a frustrasting 45 wait to be seated for lunch. After all that wait we decided to go ahead and gave them back their lighted frisbee and eat there. We were given lunch and dinner menus. When we went to order we were told the only entrees served on weekends all day and night were from the dinner menu only. It is beyond me why we were given lunch menus then. Since we had invested so much time we went ahead and ate. After our very average meal we asked for our check there was 19% gratuity already added in. The service wasn't worth 19%. I usually tip 20 percent every time I eat as a mininum. Having the customer decide what my tip will be gives the waitress or witer the freedom to give lousey service because they know they will get a good tip. Before Saturday I couldn't believe a restautant would not serve lunch off during lunch time of 1:00PM How greedy Olive Garden is to tell me how much I will pay for lunch and how much I will tip. They did it once but they won't see me or anyone I know again.

You see, word of mouth is the best press. When people are happy about they might tell maybe 3 or 4 people but give them a bad experience they will tell at least 10 people. I worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years. This is true. Bye Bye Olive Garden to your greedy attitude that if you charge it people are ignorant to pay it. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Your current and future sales will show in these tough times. When times are tough it is important to give a little extra to the common man. You don't charge him through the nose.

We are at your restaurant in Peabody, MA. The wait wasn't bad. My wife and I sat down and ordered our drinks. They told my wife that they were out of the drink that she wanted and when we ordered our food they told us that they were out if salad also. We were just wondering why you would offer unlimted salad if you run out of salad. We were perrty upset about this because wecame here because of the unlimited salad. I don't think we will be coming back again.

Shirleen Trabeaux 3/24/12
What a HUGE disappointment. Prior to dining at Olive Garden we had heard mixed reviews from colleagues and friends; we had a gift card so we went. When we were initially seated without a wait and the salad was good we were optimistic about the entrees. After our the salad we waited patiently 30-45 minutes for our entrees which were less than adequate. NEVER again. The meal including the tip was $50, I expected more for $50. I had a scallop, shrimp, fish pesce. The description sounded wonderful 'saffron flavored' pesce with 'spinache'. The scallops were about the size of a pencil eraser, the shrimp were old and tough, there were 3 very small spinache leaves' and not a hint of saffron. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Olive Garden! I'm writing due to a very big disappointment in you soup. My wife and I went to one of your restaurant in Gilbert AZ and ordered a soup (Pasta e Fagiole) with a salad. The Service was very good, and the waitress was as pleasant as can be. This is my complaint. When my soup came to my table, I notice that there was four maybe five Ditalini pastas in the whole soup. I looked at my wife soup, and it was the same. I asked the waitress where the pasta was, and she said "that's the way it comes" I have been a customer at the restaurant for years, and had the soup many times, and never had no pasta in Pasta e Fagiole. Is this a sign of the times; cut backs. Well if this is the way your going to make your soup, then maybe you should add chilly powder and call it Chilly rather than Pasta e Fagiole. I had been there so many times and had my friends, family, and met there for business as well, and never saw the cut backs before. There are so many Italian places I can go and get a good cup or bowl of Pasta with out them cutting back on such a cheap item. I can't tell you disappointed both my wife are, and I notice I paid about the same; only to get less. It's not about the money. I don't mind paying a little more, as long as it's a good meal, but to get less for the money is not where I would go or support. My dad use to say (You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time)
Disappointed

I just returned from a great lunch at the Olive Garden, Beaumont TX. Food and service was excellent. However, when I received my ticket and paid with my debit card, I noticed the ticket showed my personal checking account balance on the ticket. It reads " Card no, auth code, check amount, remaining balance before gratuity and the amount in my checking account." I am outraged. This is invading my privacy and should be stopped.

Olive Garden makes you claim tips you dont make at clock out. The system used to be okay. We have a large hispanic population to deal with and we all know they don't tip. Can't tell you how many times I've had a $100.00 check and hispanics give you $3-$5. At clock out you still must claim taxes on this. They have it set up to claim at least 1820% of each check and your sales. If you get 3 of these a night then day after day, you will owe taxes at the end of the year the way the system is set up. It's crap glad I don't have to work there anymore. It's okay some 18 year old that doesn't know any better will always need a job. The Olive Garden is unfair and every server hates to wait on hispanics, even hispanics!

You say on your website your companies supports the communities it serves. So why 5 weeks before, did your Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada restaurant in St. James back out of Craig Street Cats annual Spay-Ghetti dinner that it supported the last 2 years and made no mention until this week after the charity had contacted you in early January as she was supposed to? My wife and I will no longer dine in your establishments nor will likely many of the 400 guests that come, many that live right in the direct neighborhood. This was contradictory to your web page claim!

I just want to let you know that your company will lose at lot of buisness in the Baytown Texas store due to the fact that a registered sex offender working there. I for one use to love eating at this establishment but i will never eat at another Olive Garden again. I have let all of my friends know this fact and it is up to them whether they eat their or not. Come on really most people dont want to be seated by a host who was convicted of sexaul aggravated assualt of a 15 year old girl. That job could have went to a law abiding citizen.

I went to buy food to go at the olive garden at the manhhaten beach location to for my patients and the food was not worm when they gave it to me and then I had to buy the bread on the side once I got home the patient told me the food tasted wired and I had a taste of each plate and yes it tasted like chemicle like pine sol or something like that I called the manager at the location she said she would refund the money to my account and its been over a year and nothing has been done my whole family would go to the olive garden every other weekend but once you get service like this I don't recommend it. All of us got very I'll for over two weeks and the olive garden has not even try to do anything about it. they don't care out there customers it sad because we really loved to go there but I just don't know any more. When we go out to eat we want to enjoy ou food not get I'll.
I would like to know what the head quarters can do about this?

There is no rating low enough to express the outrage over food and service at the North Litte Rock, AR shop. Saturday, Feb 4th, 6:30 PM, we had had a great experience a week prior at lunch. We enjoyed the dishes so much we retiurned for dinner AND ordered the same dishes. The dishes were brought out with the same quantity as our lunch a week prio and one sih that was suppose to be served on angel hair pasta was served on spagetti. Both dished wereclder than the drinks we were served. Melted cheese had gone back to a solid. When we complained the server went to the Manager and came back and said the manager informed her that that was the way the dishes were suppose to be...cold and inadequate. Manager refused to visit the table and put the burden on the server to deal with the issue. Obvious that they hire manager from a long list of inexperieced bafoons.

First of all I want to say that we love Olive Garden. Our waiter greeted us by giving us his name and that he would be waiting on us with a coworker. It was obvious that he was new and very nervous. It took almost 10 minutes for him to get us drinks and he then spilled 2 of them on the table, wetting our clothes and purses. My daughter ordered Chicken scampi, he confirmed shrimp, she corrected him and he still brought her shrimp. We were very forgiving of the spill and the wrong order, but the service got worse. The assistant manager came to the table to apologize and offered us free dessert. At this point it was very awkward having to ask for cheese, refills on our drinks and stack our own dishes. When we were finally ready for the free desserts, he suggested the apple crisp one, we picked the chocolate cake, 10 minutes later the same assistant manager brought us the apple one and had to clear the salad bowl (now over an hour old) and our plates to make room to put down the wrong dessert. Rather than wait again for a corrected order, we just shared what was brought; shaking our heads. At this point, we were an hour and 20 minutes into a lunch and asked for the check. We watched the waiter fumbling with the printer until he was called away by the hostess. Ten minutes later he came back and said he was sorry but he had been distracted by a coworker and had run our card for the wrong amount. So he ran it again. During this time, we noticed at least 5 waiters standing around the printer. Obviously his trainer was paying no attention to what was going on. During all of this two of your servers saw our distress and came, brought refills and offered to take our dishes. All in all this was the most uncomfortable dining experience we have had in over 20 years. Maybe you should review your training program. Someone allowed Roger to fail miserably and no one stepped in to correct the deteriorating conditions.

I would actually give zero (0) stars if it were possible. On Friday, February 3, 2012, my daughter and I were shopping as she needed some career clothing (just finished college at the end of 2011). We stopped into the Olive Garden in Houston at The Shops of Stone Park (off the Beltway 8) at about 1:30 p.m. The hostess promptly seated us in the very back room of the restaurant. There were other customers there also. We did receive menus; however, we sat there for 15-20 minutes and nobody came to take our order. I noticed that the employees were waiting on all the other tables. I don't mind waiting my turn but nobody even stated: "I will be with you shortly." After 15-20 minutes of being ignored, we walked out and went to Chick-fil-A across the parking lot as we were hungry. We had no problem being waited on there. I guess the employees at Olive Garden looked at us ... two women .... and thought that they would not receive a good tip from us. Well, I am tired of the apparent stereotyping. I find it totally insulting. If a Stone Park Olive Garden waiter/waitress reads this ..... just so you will know ........ you missed out on a really good tip .... that is if you would have waited on us in a timely manner and treated us properly with refills of beverage, bread sticks and salad upon request. For example: Went to Denny's one instance and tipped the waitress $8 for a $18 ticket total. However, she did not keep ignoring us and the service was excellent. She deserved the tip. I will never step foot again in the Olive Garden at The Shops of Stone Park in Houston, TX. No way, no how!!!!

This evening I ate at the Olive Garden in Mesquite, TX. It was absolutly one of the worst dinners I ever eaten. It was the aprocot grilled chicken with vegtable -very small serving and covered with the sweet sauce. Everything had so much sweet sauce that I felt I was eating a desert. I complained to the waiter but he said he would tell the cook - but that was all. I will never go to Olive Garden again. There are plenty of "good" restaurants close. The salad was good.

I have eaten at both the Huntsville, AL O.G. and Florence, AL O.G. Quality wise & cleanliness the Florence OG was more like a 4 star rating. The Huntsville is dirty, and my drink and food all tastes like it was not clean. However, what is with all of the salt in all of your menu items are overloaded with salt. So, if it takes bad, just load it with salt. Also many items taste like it was microwave and not fresh. You did need lots of help, fix the menu, fix the store, fix the food!!

First time at Olive Garden in E. Wenatchee, WA. and the Last time at Olive Garden period. I would not waste my time going again. Poor service, it took over an hour after being seated, they forgot the coffee, gave excuses for the poor service but in the end they were NOT HELPFUL. I will never go back and I will encourage others to stay away.

I have always enjoyed my service and food at the Olive Garden located in Richmond,VA. The manager/co-manager make rounds to ensure your food and service is okay. My comment has nothing to do with there phenominal service. One Sunday, I was dining with my family. We were taking pictures because we hand not seen each other in a while. I left my camera on the table. That night when I called back I was told that my camera was there, they took my name, and told me that it would be in the manager's office. I live approximately 20-30 minutes away from this location so, I did not return to the resturant until the end of the week. There was not sign of my camera. After speaking with manager and co-manager and giving them all the information that I could, they replaced my camera. The let me know that exceptional customer service is still alive in a society that might would have given me a little harder time. I would like to say THANK YOU!!!

I dined at the Olive Garden in Jackson Ms. and the service was fair. I sat in the bar area and the waitress in the area walked pass me four times before the girl at the door finally came over and gave me a bowl of salad.
after waiting and eating half of the salad the waitress finally came and took my order. I ordered appetizer and my dinner came out before the appetizer. I just told the waitress when she asked did I get the appetizer yet. She wanted to take the dinner back I told her no leave it on the table and I will probably take it home. I still have to wait about ten more minutes before the appetizer finally came out. Waited fifteen minutes after eating before another waitress finally came over and asked how was everything. I then asked for a glass of water since I had nothing to drink and a to go box. She bought everything to me and the check. This new waitress came back for me to sign the check and said she will give it to my waitress. I feel my waitress should have been with me all along. I ordered for dinner lasagna for dinner and took it home. Well I warmed it up to eat and found a long piece of white plastic in it. I took a picture of it and I am not happy. I will not dine there anymore.

We were at the Olive Gardens on Ohio Pike in Cincinnati on January 17, 2012. There were 7 diners. After ordering our dinner, the waitress brought us two bowls of salad. One plain and the other with Italian dressing. She never asked if we wanted cheese but just assumed we all did. When I asked her to bring one out without the cheese on top she asked if we could just dig in the bottom of the bowl. I told her NO and she said it would be a while for her to bring out the salad. When ordering our soup, we did request lots of potatoes and meat. When we received the soup there was NO potatoes nor meat in the soup. She responded that we would have to wait for another batch of soup and we said OK. The second soup was no better than the first. I asked for a manager to come to our table. He didn't get to our table for about 10-15 minutes. He was absolutely no better than the waitress. He just asked loudly who wanted the soup with all the potatoes and meat. When we asked what about the rest of us who had ordered the soup, he left the table very quickly. Talk about customer service. We did receive the soup but it was not much better. One of the men then requested another bowl of soup but was told they had run out of the soup. It was 6:55 PM. We told the waitress it was very poor management. You can be assured we will NOT return to Olive Garden again. You has just lost 7 patrons who go out every Tuesday night for dinner.

I have only eaten at Olive Garden twice and neither time was I impressed. The first time I went, it was with my whole family. It was my childrens birthday and we had a large party. The food was cold when we got it but I left it alone because there was 15 of us and that was alot of food to bring out. My daughter loves the place and told us to give it another try. We did. First off I ordered Lasagna was told there was none The waitress has not nice about it either, she just said "you'll have to order something else, we don't have any" no I'm sorry or anything. Next we had to ask for more tea and bread. Never got the bread, filled the tea when we were done with the meal than never asked if we would like a to go cup. Then she said the Lasagna just got there,I thought you made it fresh, she made it sound like it just came off the truck. My husband ask what place did you get it from. finally we had to ask for to go boxes and could we please have a cup to take our tea, No mints, no thank you come again. My daughter said it is nothing like that but you sure fooled me.Had friends in town and they wanted to go there and I said no way!!!!! Hope you don't get many letters like this!!!!Just thought you would like to know.Orange Park, Fl store both times.

Went to dine at the new Elkton, MD Olive Garden last night, along with three other adults. We sat, ordered our salads, and meals.................had to wait over 30 minutes for the salads to be brought to us. Then we began intentionaly timing the arrival of our meal...............over 1 hour and 18 minutes later they finally showed up.
We nicely made mention of this to our server, her response was, "it's been like this all night, and it's killing my tips, I hope you won't take it out on me by leaving me a bad tip....will you?" What? Did we just hear that? She wasn't concerned about anything except what she was going to be given in return for the poor service. Sad............... and yes, we left her a tip commensorate to the overall service provided...We may try again, well after the new staff has 'seasoned' a bit. But for now......we will go elsewhere.

It has been my experience to get waitresses who want any male customer to notice their bodies - they wear clothes that let men get a glimpse of their breasts, tight clothes to cling to their bodies and they flirt -- why? Tips, of course. Some men are so gullible they will tip big depending on how the waitresses flirt and how much skin is shown and how sexy they act - to make the male customers think they are sexy and that the waitress would like to have a personal encounter. What happened to earning tips the moral and respectful way? Why try to cause trouble between a male and female customer just to get a tip? I feel for the lady customers who have to watch a female hit on their male company, I would never do such a thing.

Olive Garden in Tauton MA is awesome. The greeter "Angie" went out of her way to make my 3 year old grandchild welcome. After my grand-daughter colored her picture she gave it to Angie and the next time I went there Angie said she hung it on her refrigerator. The food is very good at Olvie Garden but we continue to go there because of Angie. She makes you feel like family. Great customer service!!!

I am an employee at the olive garden in panama city and would like to say that they don't have their stuff together. I was sat a 7 top and already had a 3 top and was told since the 7 top was technically 7 and a highchair i must take it with someone. OK well their was only 7 entree's so i could have taken it by myself but was chewed out by my GM for it had to half MY tip money since i did all the work cause my partner was a new server and had 2 other tables and couldn't handle a 7 top. Then once they got up they turned around and double sat me with a 7 top and a 4 top. It makes no since to me. I feel as if i got robbed out of my money and i have 3 children to take care of its ridiculous!!! I can understand if it were 8 adults but it was 7 and a highchair the little girl was maybe 1yr old and didn't get an entree. The Store number is 1395. Something should be done about this. Thanks.

Before meeting someone for lunch today, I looked up your menu on-line. I eat pretty-much vegetarian/vegan and there are several items on your menu that work with that (thank you). However, I did note that the sodium content on your menu items is astronomically high - much higher than it should be for linguine with a marinara that has onions & herbs. I cook a lot and this just is not necessary! So I did order the aforementioned & perhaps I am more sensitive to pre-salted things because I try to limit a lot of salt - but, honestly, the sauce would have been good if it were not for the useless amount of salt - it really smothered the taste of the ingredients and again, why is that necessary (people can salt their food if they want more)? I basically pushed most of the sauce off the pasta & ate the pasta. I would love to continue to frequent your restaurant but I think it's time you get with the latest/greatest theories in regard to the use of sodium. Otherwise, our experience was very nice! It would be really great if you took a look at this issue.

Today I visited the Mechanicsburg Olive Garden, PA, Asked for a waitress and was given a puck to await me being called to eat, I was told 15 min. waiting time, 25 minutes later after 4 groups that came in and were signed up after me, were seated, I still was not called, I then asked why? a wantabe manager told me that thay would not seat me, because I asked for a waitress, but while waiting one of the parties seated ahead of me asked for a certain server and was seated, I WAS DISCRIMATED AGAINST, SHE WOULD NOT SEAT ME, I PAY THE BILL AND PROVIDE THE TIP, NEXT I WILL BE TOLD WHAT WINE I MUST DRINK IN ORDER TO BE SERVED. I do not want a male server, because they wear their sexual prowlness on their sleved, falling ove their feet to serve a gook looking woman, or women while ignoring me an senior male by myself.
YOUR RULES or POLICY DISCRIMINATE AGAINST ME, I WILL SHARE THIS WITH EVERYONE I MEET

I worked at the Olive garden in Enfield, CT and I have to say it is the worst place to work. The manager Christopher is outrageous and a sorry excuse for a manager. As a manager there is no need to say things like "are you fucking slow" and "pick up the pace god damnit". I feel sorry for those employees that are left. YOU should really keep an eye on this.

First, I chose "1" star because there was no "0" stars. January 6, 2012. I took two women to Olive Garden in Danvers, MA. One of the women has been talking about going since Opening Day. This was a Christmas Gift I gave her--lunch at Olive Garden.

This for me was the Third time going to this establishment. Making it the LAST time. Yes, I did send in a coment to HQ again but have not heard back from them. What is happening to Olive Garden? Service was the worse; food quite unpleasant.

We ordered one appetizer and was told it will take ten minutes to cook. That was fine--semed odd she would tell us that. Two of us ordered Soup & Salad for our meal and one Parm entre. We got there about 11:45am. Was not crowded or that busy when we got there. Close to an hour before we got food. First served was Salad. I commented on the salad stating that the THREE of us were having salad and that two of us ordered the All you can eat Salad. What she brought in the bowl was enough for one person. You know how that is--"1" olive & "1" hot pepper per person in the bowl and little salad. I asked if she was bringing "2" more bowls--the one she brought was not enough for three--let alone enough for 2 people. She seemed dumbfounded. I had to request that she bring more salad "Please". She acted like we put her out. ??? Anyway, while eating salad, my appetite is small because of surgery and had to find another waitress to find ours and cancel soup for me but bring soup for other person. When soup was served it was lukewarm and GREASY. Pasta Fagilla (spelling) which is Pasta and Bean Soup. No beans, tasted like greasy ground beef--BAD. Ordered the Chicken & Gnocci - two Gnocci pieces in the bowl. Appetizer made it out after everything else was served--DAH!!! Needless to say a REALLY BAD LUNCH.

There was more to say about service--disappearing Waitress--baut won't go into it all. You get the Jest of it. What a BAD experience.

I will go back up north to NH. Food & Service is much better. I would rather drive an hour than something closer that is worth going to.

I paid not only with money but embarrassment for my guest having such a BAD Experience.

Thanks Olive Garden.

Went to Olive Garden in Naperville, Il on Saturday 1/7/2012 for my birthday. My mother who is not in the best of health and my 2 young grandchildren were in attendence as well. We were told the wait would be approximately 35 minutes. Ok I thought they were a little busy is was 5:30 pm so we decided to wait. Well an hour went by and we were still waiting. I took a walk around the resturant to find not only 6 tables open on the one side but nother 10 tables open on the other side. The manager told me that was because they were reserved. I finally went up to the hostess station to see where we were in line, she told me I was the next large table. In the corner there sat a table for 8 unused for at least 1/2 hour. I asked her about that table and she told me that was the one I was getting. I asked her why where we waiting then for an hour if this table has been opened for the last 25 minutes. Her response was they did not have enough servers scheduled for the night and had to call some in. Apparently the GM lied to me... Not once did the GM come out and offer any type of appolozies to the mass amount of people waiting to be seated. Once we finally were able to order an appitizer "Spinach Artichoke Dip" it came out sour. The waiter was great and applogized. Once again the GM Mr. Chuck Cortese never came out to offer an appoligy. If you ask me Olive Garden you may want to check into this GM you have there. He has no clue what he is doing or how to care for his customers... Will NEVER go there again. Thanks Mr. Chuck Cortese for ruining my birthday dinner.

My favorite resturant is Olive Garden and my husband and I visit at least twice a week. This past time however I was inquiring about a job at 3:30 pm in the afternoon. Well I guess when 10 cars are in the parking lot thats called rush hour! I had a horrific time, I guess they discriminate against white blonde headed girls, because this manager (and the hosts) freaked out! She acted as if I was murdering her, she got beligerent...which was uncalled for as I just had a few questions that I didn't want a 17 year old host to answer (because she was already getting an attitude when I had asked). My advice: if you go to Olive Garden go as far away from Winsor park in SAN ANTONIO, TX as possible...we have only met one manager that actually cares about his guest! This is pitiful, I used to work at Olive Garden so I should know!

Kristen 1/7/12
Do not go to The Olive Garden for lunch uless you just want the salad and bread sticks. I ordered ravioles and got only 4 of them and payed a dollar or two less than I would have for dinner with a full portion. Great for dinner but Not for lunch.

Linda Shue 1/4/12
My husband and I ate at the Bonita Springs, FL Olive Garden this past Saturday. I ordered the eggplant parm. I was very dissapointed as the eggplant was overcooked and you couldn't get it any thinner and the side of spaghetti was pathetic. I will not order the eggplant again, I'm sure it's frozen, not home cooked. Always enjoyed Olive Garden in the past, but will be going to Bucca from now on.

Honestly IF there was a category of -100 rating thats what I would rate the Olive Garden in Midland, TX.
I've gone to eat with my family and I understand employees have smoke breaks but when you reik ofmarijyana thats when it's a problem? What kind of business are ya'll running? I then requested to speak to a manager about overhearing some employees talking about some cooks getting " high " in the back? That's unprofessional and if this is going on iI can imagine one or ALL of the managers getting "high" as well, anyways the manager never came out so I decided we call corporate or write. I suggest you get a MANDATORY drug test for ALL the employees including MANAGERS. If not I will be in touch with the BBB and have something done.

Tonight was our last night eating at any Darden Restaurant again. We ate at Olive Garden in Thornton, Colorado. The Five Cheese Ziti was more like cardboard Ziti. The waitress offered no apologies, we never saw a manager regarding our complaints. Another dish that was served-Alfredo something-was dry and rubbery. We asked for more bread sticks, instead we got the check. The waitress told me that on my next visit that I should order something else....perhaps something that I "LIKED"!! HAHAHAHA!!! Perhaps next time we will keep driving and take our money to another restaurant that appreciates our business!!!

Dave in TN 12/21/11
My family has been going to the Olive Garden in Spring Hill TN since its opening several years ago. Always great service. Last few months it has gone down hill. Noticable so by the lack of patrons on weekend afternoons. Last night (12/20/11) my kids wanted to eat there so I met them there after work. Arriving a few minutes before the rest I asked for a table 2 adults and 4 kids. The place was not crowded and only the back half of the dining room had patrons. The greeter who I later found out was the general manager wanted to push some tables together and seat us at the bar. I commenetd that I am not sitting my kids in the bar area. He then has one of the waitors push 2 tables together in the occupied dining area.
We are seated and all seems well. My wife and I typically share an entree' as a healthy habit. We order the kids meals and 1 adult entree'. Our waitress comments if we eat more than 1 bowl of salad they will have to charge us extra. We have ordered this way for a few years and have never had any issues. The bread sticks come out as normal in a normal basket with normal amount of breadsticks. The salad was this pathetic 1/4 portion sized in the regular bowl. I sat there in disbelief. We should have just walked out. I jokingly asked what happen to the salad with the waitress replying something about it needing to be proprtioned to the meal.
Just as she left the general manager was making his way through the dining room. I motioned him over to comment about this salad. He too gives me some line about proportioned to the meal and although its unlimited they do it this way so all patrons can benefit from the unlimited salad. Assuming the issue is that my wife and I were sharing an entree' I tell him that if he needs to charge me for another salad as an entree' then do so and bring us a normal bowl of salad.
Another bowl not much more impressive than the first comes out. As we finsh the first bowl the waitress proceeds to take up the empty bowl. She hesitantly asks if we want another bowl of salad. I asked her if we were charged the extra, she replies yes. I said then absolutely bring us another bowl. Of course my wife was finished her salad and moved to the entree' I on the other hand took the 1/2 entree home and proceeded to order 3 more bowls of salad just to spite this guy.
The GM then comes over to appologize for the confusion and offers me a $15 gift gard for our next visit. When the ticket arrives I notice the extra salad charge was added then removed.

Not sure if you have a new GM in this location but this whole ordeal was pathetic over a bowl of salad. Way to make your patrons feel welcomed. Two things are going to happen because of this: first is I may never eat another salad again after 4 bowls !!! and second is I will not step foot in that restaurant again.

ONE OF OUR DOCTOR'S BOUGHT OUR CHRISTMAS DINNER. THE TOTAL BILL WAS $327.45..THEY TOLD ME THEY DID NOT DELIVER ANYMORE AS THEY HAD A NEW MANAGER AND SHE DID AWAY WITH THE DELIVERY SERVICE. OK SO WE ORDERED ANYWAY. WHEN WE GOT THE FOOD BACK TO THE HOSPITAL WE WERE SHORT ONE PAN OF RAVIOLI DI PORTOBELLO AND THE WHITE CHOC. RASP CHEESECAKE WAS FROZEN SOLID. I HAD CALLED THE ORDER IN THE DAY BEFORE SO EVERYTHING WOULD BE READY. UPON CALLING THE MANGER SHE TRIED TO SAY THAT SHE KNEW WE HAD RECEIVED THE RAVIOLI AND THE CHEESECAKE WAS UNTHAWED. SHE FINALLY AFTER ARUGING WITH ME SAID THE RAVIOLI MIGHT HAVE BEEN PUT IN ANOTHER ORDER. THEN SHE ASKED ME WHAT I WANTED HER TO DO. I SAID TAKE IT OFF THE BILL. SHE SAID SHE COULDN'T WITH OUT THE CHARGE CARD.SO I SAID ALRIGHT GET ONE READY AND I WOULD PICK IT UP AND THE STAFF COULD EAT IT TOMORROW. YOUR MANAGER WAS VERY RUDE AND DID NOT MAKE ANY CONCESSIONS TO TRY TO MAKE UP FOR THE MISTAKE. I DON'T KNOW BUT I WOULD TRY TO MAKE PEOPLE COME BACK AND NOT BE RUDE. WHEN WE PLACE AN ORDER IT IS USUALLY BETWEEN 300.00 AND 400.00 AND I WOULDN'T WANT TO LOSE THAT KIND OF BUSSINESS. THANK YOU

On Dec 5, 2011, My husband took me to my favorite restaurant, OLIVE GARDEN....Not any more...We are on a fixed income and cannot afford to go out and eat much, but it was my 62 birthday, I couldn't wait....I order Alfrado with shrimp/scallops, and a order of scallops on the side. I got a third of there regular portions I always got the years before, the noodles in the bowl were very good, but they only covered the bottom of the bowl, my side order of scallops was a bigger laugh 4 tiny scallops balls smaller then small marbles, I swear to GOD this is true, My husbands order was also 1/3 the side it was last year. I said to the waitress , is this all we get, she said yes, We should have left that restaurant right then, but we were hungry, We paid $52.00 for that tiny meal. (We also had 2 drinks and a appetizer) We left the Alcoa, Tn, Olive Garden...Still hungry....Is this Olive Garden In Alcoa TN the only resturant serving VERY small portions Or are all O.G. portions TINY now???
If this is the case, We will never eat at any Olive Garden Again...The Shipman’s

Applebee's Kitchen staff in Jacksonville NC don't even wash their hands durring a shift and they never change the dish machine water so if you have eaten at Applebee's in Jacksonville NC my condolences. The kitchen is also very very filthy, thanks Lindsey the Kitchen Manager for doing such aa crappy job.

Karen Murray 12/9/11
My husband and I had lunch in Watertown, New York yesterday. I noticed that there were no Christmas decorations about. Upon leaving I asked amd was told that they were not allowed to decorate for fear of "offending". Had I known this was your policy before I had ordered, I would have left. I of course will not be eating at any Olive Garden over the holidays, as I am OFFENDED that your corp0oration does not see fit to celebrate the holidays.

J Jaggers 11/30/11
We ate lunch at Olive Garden on Suemandy in St. Peters, MO today. I have a lung disease and am on oxygen. When we entered the restaurant, I specifically told the hostess that I needed to be seated away from the bar/smoking area as I had a lung disease and can not breathe smoke. She insisted on sitting us in the area right next to the bar with only a open wine rack between us. Half way through our lunch people began smoking in the smoking area and it filtered through and I began coughing and gaging. We had to leave the restaurant.

First of all putting the smoking area in the center of the restaurant where smoke filters to both sides is bad planning on your part. Second and most importantly the hostess needs to be fired. It was obvious I have a breathing problem since I am on oxygen. There were empty tables away, but she decided that was where she wanted us. When I stopped on my way out she just said, "well that is where I wanted you."

Our waitness was outstanding and the food was good. But due to your smoking policy and the rudeness of your hostess we will not be returning to Olive Garden until it is a non-smoking venue. We will travel to St. Louis County and use other restaurants, or go to non-smoking venues in St. Charles.

Jessica 12/1/11
Great tasting food. My husband and I have spent many dollars dining there. However, those days are over. At Christmas Olive Garden makes thousands of dollars from happy Christmas diners. But, they are offended by the word Christmas and Christmas decorations. They are also offended by the American flag. I am offended by their hypocrisy. Goodby Olive Garden and Red Lobster. No more of our Christmas money.

Kathy Richards 11/26/11
I live in Charleston, SC and my mother lives in Ozark, Missouri. Naturally, geography is our challenge and today was her 82nd birthday. She told me that she was going with her senior friends to Olive Garden to celebrate her birthday. I quickly called the Springfield store and asked for special recognition on her big day. I also asked that their dinner be charged to my American Express as a treat -- and she could order whatever she wanted. When the waitstaff informed her of this surprise, she wept. Her only income is Social Security . . . and she was struggling about paying for her meal. The General Manager, Dave Hammonds, made a concerted effort to make this the best birthday ever -- and he and his entire staff succeeded! Thank you so much -- to everyone -- for caring and for honoring her. Regardless of any political stances, Olive Garden will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you Dave.

Jerry Milam Sr 11/21/11
My family, and I have always loved our outings to Olive Graden, & Red Lobster but, now I am afraid they are things of the past. We will not ever visit another of your establishments. Your refusing to honor the flag of our country, is disgraceful. Of course your insult is a dishonor to the brave men, and women who have died in the service of our country to protect your right to do what you did, in not allowing the flag in your resteraunt. It appears that good taste only applies to the food, in your places, and is sorely lacking in the character of your management people, and stockholders. My family in Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, in the military, and discharged; will be boycotting Olive Garden, and promoting the same within our network of freinds, co-workers.

Jerry Milam Sr

My wife and I are both retired Army Officers and would like to express our appreciation for your Veteran's Day recognition. We both had an excellent meal and were treated like royalty by your staff at the East Washington Street restaurant here in Indianapolis, IN. Thanks again.

I think it is terrible that you wont provide reservations in special circumstances there are people with special needs that cannot physically wait a long time because of age or illness that would like the opportunity to go to your resturant.. I think that you should have managers with enough intelligence and humanity to make a judgement call in certain situations. When someone is choosing your resturant to have their celebration of a life time (80th birthday) and due to physical limitations u are making it a difficult painful for them I think you should be ashamed of yourself. I feel that this is discriminating against handicapped and elderly and violating the ADA federal mandate for accomidation in public places. I am disappointed in you your commerical says we are treated like family I hope you wouldnt treat your parents or grandparents like that ... I feel really hurt this has been their favorite resturant for years and you have made it difficult to impossible for them to get out and go there. Shame on you !

Dustin Rhodes 10/21/11
I want to know how a store like this can Support Hate Crimes? The store in Macon Ga, had 2 VERY NICE and VERY hard working Gay employees what worked there. The Store hired on some one that started off ok but then started calling the other two names like "Fag, Cock Sucker, Homo, ECT." This was reported time after time to the store manager and the manager each time would say we cant fire him right now we need him. After after this keep going on the two employees after getting both getting called fags said some thing to the other employee about it and they where fired for it because of it. I am going to be going public about this.

Shealita Williams 10/22/11
Dear Corporate,

I absolutely love the Olive Garden, and my only concern is there isn't a Olive Garden near my home. Corporate, can you please put a Olive Garden in Montgomery County Maryland? It would be nice to have a Olive Garden on Rockville Pike, there are a few available lots. "PLEASE" I would visit at least once a week.

Thanks in advance,

S. Williams

I live in Big Bear Lake, Cali. but I have daughters in the Glendale Burbank, Ca area, we go to the Burbank Olive Garden at least 3times per month this last time on 10/5/2011 the food was just awful, it was like the Hispanic vesion was taking over the drinks were very bad, and the food was dry and burnt, I have never in my 50 something life have had food like that from Olive Garden, my husband and I when we go off the mountain we go to the Olive garden in Victorvill, Ca, I ran a rest. in Valencia, Ca and lived close to the Olive Garden in that area never have I had such horriable food, I'll never go back to The Olive Garden in Burbank Cali. If you are changing
your way of cooking the wonderful food you lost at least a dozen Guests at your Burbank Olive Garden, it was quaility foor but no more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Darla Kappelos 10/16/11
I am totally thrilled with getting "warm, sincere service" and I want to commend an employee (and Mgr. Ed Vinetos)for providing it so well.. that is why I send elderly friends to lunch there. I am talking about the Hawthorne Blvd restaurant in California (Torrance),The employee is Sally Kamal and she has gone out of her way to make these friends comfortable....assist to the bathroom etc and actually told one friend (when she was told the lady only had $1.00 tip that day) and she was told with a smile..."save it, you may need it and all I want is you to enjoy your meal and come back ". The friend was so touched she tips her now 20% (which is more than she is used to but wants to) and they are refer others .... We will be dining there and continue to refer people. Thank you !

M 10/15/11
I will no longer go out to dinner at any Olive Garden Restaurants, do the disgusting and un-American action of banning the American flag from your restaurants. If the diners are distracted by the sight of the American flag maybe the restaurants should also ban crying kids. A crying kid is more of a distraction then it is seeing our countries flag. I also hope that my fellow veterans who have served and fought for my country feel the same way and also boycott Olive Garden Restaurants.

Gerald 10/15/11
So, your company is an American Company. Right? So, why does Olive Garden not allow an American flag inside your restaurants? Don't you believe in our Flag and what it standss for? Or, is your Company just interested in the bottom line and not concerned about our Country. I'll do my best to tell all our friends not to visit any of your locations any longer.

kathy 10/15/11
I was extremely offended that one of your restaurants refused to have an American flag set up in one of your banquet rooms for a private meeting. The person said that they didn't want to offend anyone. How about offending Americans? If that is your policy, I won't ever go to one of your restaurants again. I'M OFFENDED BY YOUR LACK OF PATRIOTISM. NEXT YOU WON'T LET IN SERVICE PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY ARE IN UNIFORM WITH AN AMERICAN FLAG. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. YOUR DISCUSTING.

Susan 10/16/11
Having just read that Olive Garden would not let the Kwanis Club bring in a American Flag, Olive Gardens response was they do not want to offend anyone!.. Well since this is America our flag shouldnt offend and if it does to bad. So until things change I will not eat at Olive Garden, and neither will my family or friends, and there are a lot of us out there!

Barbara Harrison 10/14/11
No American Flags allowed in one of your restuarants because there was no private dining room is no excuse.
Our family will not be going to any more of your estabishments, Red Lobsters.etc.

Kyle warren 10/13/11
I would like to let you know that my friends and I will boycott your restaurants (all those affiliated with you'll) due to the flag incident. What kind of un american company are you. You might consider moving overseas. It's companies like you that make us not even recognize the America we grew up in. Thanks for showing your true color of Yellow and not red white and blue!!!

D. Jackson 10/13/11
I am writing in response to the policy in Alabama regarding the American Flag. REALLY!!! You just lost a very good customer.

GABRIELLE CHRISTINE 10/13/11
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: ANY RESTAURANT THAT DISALLOWS THE DISPLAY OF OUR NATIONAL STANDARD (FLAG) I FIND TO BE EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE TO ALL OF US VETERANS! I GUESS YOU DON'T WANT OUR BUSINESS. APPLEBEE'S IS DEFINITELY A MUCH MORE FRIENDLY PLACE TO DINE - THEY EVEN "HONOR" VETERANS ON "VETERANS DAY". I WOULD SUGGEST THAT ALL VETERANS - AND THEIR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS - WHO ARE OFFENDED BY OLIVE GARDEN'S FLAGRANT DISREGARD FOR ALL THE SOLDIERS THAT HAVE GIVEN THEIR LIVES FOR THE HONOR OF THE FLAG ... ENJOY THE "MILITARY/VETERAN" FRIENDLY WELCOME THEY WILL RECEIVE AT APPLEBEES.

Olive Garden: American flag display would disrupt dining experience
October 12, 2011 9:23 AM
AP / WPEC-CBS12.com

ANNISTON, Ala. -- Officials with the parent company of Olive Garden restaurants say they're sorry if a decision regarding an Alabama Kiwanis club's desire to display the American flag caused any concern.

John 10/13/11
The Olive Garden refused to let a local Kiwanis Club hang an American flag in the banquet room during one of their meetings. Apparently OG decided that displaying the flag would be offensive to some so they won't allow it. Political correctness has has gone to far and I along with most of the friends I know won't be giving OG anymore of our money.

Ruth Hosgood 10/13/11
Olive Garden was my father's favorite restaurant and one of mine as well. I do not usually send emails out, but felt I had to let you know that your decision to not allow in an American Flag, in my opinion was a huge error in judgment, and because of this error, I for one of I am sure are many, will no longer be eating at Olive Garden. My dad served in the Army of this great country. I am so glad he is not here to see this. It would break his heart

Andrea Baker 10/13/11
As a fan of your restaurant I am most disappointed in your decision to not allow the Kiwanis to hang the American flag. Since you are in the United States this should not be a problem and in fact you should be flying the flag at all times. I was getting ready to buy a $100.00 gift card as a gift for my aunt, but now I will not be spending that money with nor will I be eating at your restaurants in the future unless you reverse this stupid decision. This is must more political correctness run a muck.

John Martin 10/13/11
I understand via news reports your restaurant chain disallowed the American flag to be displayed. I will never darken the door of your establishment again! Although I liked Olive Garden, enough is enough. You with your liberal stance on our proud flag can no longer have my business. I find it odd that you wish to do business in America but shoot yourself in the foot by pushing this agenda. God help you because there are many who feel the same way I do. Thanks for nothing Olive Garden.

Sandy Mucho 10/13/11
I loved Olive Garden but I will not set foot in one again. I just received the email about the Olive Garden in Anniston, Alabama and the Olive Garden headquarters not allowing a flag to be placed in the restaurant as it my offend someone. If it does let them go back where they belong. As my husband is a Korean vet we are emailing the article to all veterans we know and to all churches that we have friends in. We are asking them to boycott your restaurants all over the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Between you and Obama we will soon be living under a communist regime. X- Olive Garden patron.

Steve Gaston 10/13/11
Just to let Corp know, YOU just lost a patron and my family. The reason, your OT
restraunt in oxford, Alabama says The American Flag is a distraction?????? wow
I live in Boise Idaho and I will spread this news thru the local media/friends/neighbors and hopefully it runs you ameriKans out of town...........................you want to be PC I will be a true AMERICAN---------this is a disgrace....

Lorraine Everitt 10/13/11
Just want you to know how very disappointed I am with Olive Garden for the position they took regarding the display of an American Flag in one of their properties recently. I am ashamed to say I've even patronized your businesses. That you can do business within the United States and yet, not allow the flag to be displayed is unconscionable at best. We live close to a rather new Olive Garden which we have patronized many, many times. From this point on, neither my family or me will be eating in ANY of your establishments. We are very patriotic-oriented and this was just not a smart move on your part. Better take a breather and rethink your position. You will be losing a lot of business. And who is more important? Citizens of the United States or illegals who have no love for our flag? Better do some soul searching on this one and then publish your thinking if you hope to regain any of your former patrons.

carol mwwk 10/13/11
As of this morning and reading of the BAN of OUR American flag in Olive Garden restaurants, I will no longer be dining at Olive Garden. My last visit was last week for a family birthday-- we will all be celebrating birthdays at other restaurants from now on.

Our community has been hopeful of bringing an Olive Garden-- welllll that idea has now been dropped and I will fight effort to bring one here.

I cannot believe you ashamed of our country's flag who many have died to protect this great country.

Roger Williams 10/13/11
My wife & I dined at your rest. # 1197 yesterday & enjoyed our dinner as usual.
Today I got a email about not allowing our flag (The flag of The United States of America)in your Alabama rest. You really need to change & make sure this does not happen again. It almost sounds like your owners are muslims, I hope that's not the case. The moron that made this decision must be like obama that never served in our military & thinks that we have 57 states & places his left hand over his chest when he has to salute our flag.
POLITICAL CORRECTIONESS WILL BE THE DOWNFALL OF OUR COUNTRY.
You really need to correct this disgrace of not allowing our flag in your rest. & it better be on national TV or your can forget about us, our families & friends ever coming to your resurants ever again.

Cathy 10/13/11
Kudos to other commenters blasting OG for their pathetic flag attitude. I stopped frequenting OG long ago, mainly because of the mediocre, questionable-quality "food." However, my parents, for some mysterious reason, like going there. Maybe, having lived through the Great Depression, they're more easily amused, food-wise, than most.

Whatever their reason, one thing's certain: once I let them know about OG's sad attitude about the greatest flag the world has ever known, they'll not set foot in another OG ever again! EVER! Period! No matter how much OG may snivel and grovel.

James Krempen 10/13/11
You just lost a customer, and I will get eveyone I know not to go to your resturants, I love this country and the flag it represents, to ban it makes you people unamerican.

Lynn 10/13/11
I recently read that one of your restaurants refused the Kiwani's from bringing in an American Flag. Unbelievable! Myself and my family have always enjoyed going to the "Olive Garden" but we will no longer support your establishment. Sorry....my country comes before your restaurant. I hope that others will boycott you as well. There's a lot of good restaurants around and Americans need to stand together and say NO MORE OF THIS CRAP!

c. johnson 10/13/11
Concerning the issue of not allowing the AMERICAN Flag to be displayed during a planned banquet; HOW DARE YOU? I, nor anyone in my family will ever step foot into another Olive Garden. I will also tell everyone I know how UN-AMERICAN Olive Garden is.

Jodie A Myers 10/14/11
What in the matter is with your company? Are you not AMERICANS? I WILL NEVER EAT AT YOUR RESTAURANT EVER AGAIN AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO EAT THERE. NOT ALLOWING AN AMERICAIN FLAG IN YOUR RESTAURANT IS ANTI AMERICAN-----YOU KNOW YOU HAVE THE FREEDOM TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY IF YOU DON'T LIKE OUR FLAG!!!! SHAME ON YOU!!!!!! JODIE A. MYERS WOODBURY, MN.

Lynn 10/14/11
I sent a comment yesterday and noticed it has not been posted. Then I realized that you have Page 5 filled with negative comments regarding your unpatriotic stance. I think that you're being very disrespectful when you ask for comments, but then do not have more space/pages to make it public. I would like to know how many negative responses you have received over this pathetic ordeal.

Dennis Janson 10/14/11
I have been going to Olive Gardens Restaurants for many years. But not anymore. When the American flag cannot be flown then this American and his family won't visit your restaurants. You only have the right to even own and operate a restaurant in this free Democracy because people like myself served in the military protecting your right to run a business and live the good life. We love our country and its flag.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I went to the Olive Garden in Casper,WY with my husband and 3 year old son. We waited 35 minutes to be seated, when we were told the wait would be 10 minutes. Once we were seated we placed our order immediately. After an hour of waiting, our food had still not come, the waitress apologized and said it was because they had new kitchen staff. Needless to say we never got our food, we ended up leaving because by this time it was 10pm and our son was starving and tired. We asked to speak to the manager, who we waited another 15 minutes for!!! All he told us was "sorry it took so long", he will "work" on it...Two hours spent at this place and we leave angry and hungry and the manager seemed like he could care less...Cannot wait for the Red Lobster to open next door!

Linda Morton 10/14/11
I've long eaten at Olive Garden. I particularly like their bread rolls and endless salad bowl.

I will never eat there again. I'll never do business with a company that considers our flag not worthy to hang in a private banquet room for a special event.

I know that Olive Garden says there was no banquet room, but the lady said they told her she'd be in banquet room 3. I believe her so what does that make Olive Garden's spokesperson.

roxanne heacock 10/14/11
YOU DID IT THIS TIME -YOUR EITHER AN AMERICAN OR A TRAITOR - I LIVE IN A RETIREMENT VILLAGE FULL OF AMERICANS - IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DISPLAY THE AMERICAN FLAG YOUR NOT AN AMERICAN - SHAME ON YOU...YOU WERE ONCE ONE OF OUR FAVORITES...THE WORD IS SPREADING..AND WE WILL NO LONGER DINE AT YOUR RESTAURANTS..WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO APPEASE

Rick 10/14/11
It is very sad to see another American co. that is Anti-American in the way they conduct business. How dare this location make an American remove the red, white and blue while on their premises. FYI: Our Nations colors are, and follow closely , 1. The mark of our Military men and women fighting for the very freedoms you absolutely take for granted, and in my humble opinion, DO NOT DESERVE!!! 2. A symbol for freedom all over the world!!! This lady that was refused to display her flag at the restaurant is a true American hero and should not be treated this way on American soil. The Workers responsible should be FIRED!!! I will Never Eat at Olive Garden again and i will make sure this is not forgotten... MOVE YOUR COMPANY AND RESTAURANTS OUT OF OUR COUNTRY, WE DO NOT WANT YOU HERE. This lame statement your spokesman gave trying to justify the actions of your employee's was ridiculous... Makes me sick to know i served my country to defend the likes of your company. For those of you who do not know the restaurant location was in oxford... If there was a ZERO I would rate co. ZERO

Bob Sousa 10/14/11
I just happened to put on fox news and watched a segment, about a woman wanting to display the American flag at one of your resturants I was and still am appaled by this Im a proud American and display the flag at my home every day,I will never eat at one of your resturants ever again This a great country we should all be proud of her and our flag.

Focus Money 10/14/11
Sir, After you declared the American Flag was Banned by clubs like VFW, American Legion, Kiwains, etc, etc...then you banned Americans ...and that includes me and all my roudy American friends...have a nice day...

Carol Aowell 10/14/11
The only reason I rated Olive Garden at one star is because that is the lowest listed.

I have just seen on TV the incident at the Olive Garden in Alabama when an 80 year old woman was being interviewed about the Kiwanis luncheon she had planned at the local OG restaurant. She had an American flag displayed for the meeting/luncheon, and was told to take it down so as "not to offend anyone." She was horrified that she was not allowed to display the flag of our country and said she would not have come to the restaurant if she had known there would be a restriction on displaying the flag at the meeting.

I am equally as appalled as the person who was made to remove our flag. I cannot express to you how angry I am with the management that our flag is not welcome! As a result you have lost me as a customer and I'm sure many other Americans as well.

Apologies after the fact are accepted, but will not affect the outcome of the incident. It's been said that it is easier to ask forgiveness than to get permission. I'm here to tell you, when it comes to our country and our flag, it was too little, too late.

Frank Williams 10/14/11
Regarding Bud Townsend's comments dated 6/15/10 about Olive Garden's menu showing "Soup and Salad $4.95" and their subsequent charge of $9.95.
I see the problem as two parts.

1st Part: Olive Garden doesn't know how to design a menu that clearly indicates "Soup $4.95 or Salad $4.95". Instead, if their menu indicated "Soup and Salad $4.95" that would mean both dishes for one charge of $4.95.

2nd Part: The customer should question the waiter about charges before ordering. Then again, the waiter probably would understand the difference between "and" vs "or".

Isn't it sad when we Americans can neither read or write understandably?

John Marxer 10/14/11
My wife and enjoyed your resturant many times a year. We will not go to Olive Garden Resturants anymore because of your stance on allowing the American flag in your resturant. The excuse you gave for what you did was pathic. This is America and thousands upon thousands of Americans have given their lives for that right. Untill issue a public apology and change that stupid rule, we will not enter your resturant.

Bonita Curtis 10/14/11
I was absolutely appalled at the news story I saw this morning on Fox News. I witnessed a very distressed 80 year old woman who went to the Olive Garden in her community with a Pro American group who had asked to have a flag and banner displayed because it was a intrical part of their event, which was preplanned and the display of the flag and banner were already approved. This group was seated in the very back of the resturant next to the kitchen because they had a large group of people. The flag and the banner was not in the way of any other customers and had already been approved. This woman was told that she could not display the flag or banner now because the resturant was following a corporate policy which did not accomodate for this kind of provision. I have already called my family and friends so they could see the story and will never eat in any of your establishments ever again. It is a shame because we have always had a positive experience in both of our Olive Gardens in Reno and Sparks, Nevada. The event should never have been approved if that was your policy. If you are ashamed or too politically correct to have a American Flag in your establishments then this American and all of her friends and family no longer will frequent your establishments.

10/14/11
I love your food but if you are so worried about someone displaying and American flag in your restauant you should not be allowed to be in business in this country.
I own a business because I live in America I and you can live the American dream and part of that dream is the FLAG !! people have died trying to rally around the Red White and Blue and your choice to not allow the flag is shameful. all people of all nations have a flag and they respect them. the next time I go to Olive Garden I will bring my little American flag and put it on the table as I eat.

Good Day

I just received an email containing a story from CBS12.com, in Anniston, AL, about Olive Garden refusing to permit the American flag to be displayed during a Kiwanis meeting, for fear of “disrupting the dining experience” of other guests. As a military retiree and patriotic American, I just want to notify you that my wife and I, frequent diners at Olive Garden, will not be visiting your restaurants, again. If the display of the flag would disrupt the dining experience of your patrons, then I wouldn’t want to eat in a place that tolerates such people. Since I refuse to believe that patrons wouldn’t be disturbed by a Kiwanis meeting in their dining room, unless that meeting included a display of their flag, I can only assume that the anti-American attitude represented here is yours.

When you can assure us that the American flag would be welcomed in Olive Garden at any and all appropriate times, such as meetings of organizations more patriotic than yours, we will return. Until then, you may color us gone.

Edward Patterson 10/12/11
I have eaten at Olive Garden’s for well over forty years and have enjoyed the fine dining and wonderful service. As a retired disabled American veteran, I find the policy that the display of the American flag would disrupt anyone’s dining experience to be inexcusable. When groups come together to socialize and/or honor our troops, Scouting, ect., I consider it disrespectful not to allow use of the appropriate flags for the situation. My family and I eat out three to four times a week. I am sure that there will be a substantial number of patrons feel as I do. As long as this policy exists, I will spend my money elsewhere.

Steven 10/12/11
Your recent response to the lady who booked your restrant in Alabama for her Kiwana's & was not allowed to bring in their banners or the US flag; Using the excuse that it might disrupt dining is BS & a paltry excuse; YOU are in America, & your company has become rich from AMERICAN dollars. Yet you act ashamed to aknowledge the AMERICAN Flag. Until this policy has been changed; I will never eat in your restruants again, & I encourage EVERY Patriotic AMERICAN who feels the same to also boycott your establishment; & if they own stock in your company to sell it immediately. If you want to diss America; America can diss you & your restruants....

Roberta 10/12/11
I had the most terrible experience at the restaurant on Northwest Highway, Dallas, several weeks ago! We were taking one of my co-workers out for a salad and soup lunch for her birthday. We never saw the waiter again for almost 1 hour. He never came back to see if we wanted anything to drink or refills of food. The checks were supposed to be split 3 ways and when I got my check, I was charged double for my lunch. We were so late for work at this point because it took the waiter 1 and a half hours to return to our table, that I did not have time to wait anohter hour and a half for the waiter to figure out what he did wrong. Do you really hire people who can't do basic math??? So my lunch ended up costing me $17.00 for LUNCH of soup and salad!!! I am so disgusted with your restaurant that I usually take my entire family ther once a year, that's about 12 of us, and I will not do it ever again. I'm out the cost of double my lunch and had terrible service as well!!

David W Wyble Sr 10/12/11
I had always frequent the olive garden here in Roanoke, Va. Reading the article where the Olive Garden refused to let a club display the American Flag becsuse there was not room and that the manager said it may offend others is totally absurd. Your response was that you felt sorry that the incident cause such a flap. What did you expect? Your attitude with your response is unacceptable. My wife and I will not dine anymore at any of your place's in the future.

D. ETHAN GOLDSTEIN 10/12/11
As an American business you can make any policies you want regarding flags. If I walk in and you are displaying an Iranian, Venezuelian, or Syian flag, I'm gone. That was choise. But this is America where millions of men and women have given their lives in the last 225 years so your company can florish in a democratic society. We've had many birthday dinners at your establishments and have had dinner there many time adding up to several thousand dollars. But you wont be seeing my family of eight any more until you change your policies regarding the American Flag.

End of conversation.

bryan sauerland 10/12/11
I find it hard to believe that NO SPACE could be found to accomadate a US flag.!!!!!
my patronage will never darken your doorstep again...besides, your food is way of overrated.

Best of luck ..

James P Bergeron 10/12/11
I hope everyone who has read the piece on The Drudge Report on October 12, 2011 about the Olive Garden corporate decision to NOT alow the AMERICAN flag to be displayed at a function in one of there restaurants in Alabama will tell two more Americans. In this way we can send a message that Americans don,t need to support an ANTI AMERICAN FLAG business. May they all go out of business is not good enough for this PROUD OF THE FLAG American!

T. Gahagan 10/9/11
I have been informed that one of the Olive Garden Restaurants stated that your corporate office will not let the US flag be flown as it might offend some people. You are in the US and it is offensive to think that this is a true, but will not be seen at any Olive Garden or it's affiliates until I learn otherwise. It's a real shame that restaurants which are really good would take this kind of stance but are willing to take the money from Americans who support them. NOT ME ANYMORE. There are other restaurants that will allow Americans to be AMERICANS.

Hi,
I am proud to say that the Olive Garden of Homestead is a Godsend. It is the best in quality of food and the service is fantastic. I am not just saying that. I have been to restaurants where the service was gross. Your employees are clean, well dressed and courteous. That is so important for a restaurant. You want your customers to come back. Keep it up.
Thanks

This evening my Fiance and I had dinner with our 3 year old at the Olive Garden in Brown Deer, WI. On numerous other thimes when we have eaten there the servers have been rude and pretty much did what they could to ignore us as much as they possibly could. We went in there pretty much expecting the same thing, but when you have a 3 year old your choices for eating out are pretty limited.

To our pleasant suprise we had the nicest, friendliest, and sweetest server in Mary. She was extremely caring and kind, on top of everything, and had the greatest smile that made you smile as well. It was a pleasant suprise to have such great service and Mary completely made our evening.

Thank you so much Mary we will be back to see you again and again!

Not reviewing any particular location, but commenting about a recent FB offer: a chance to win a $250.00 OG gift card. For clicking the Like button and leaving a comment about Olive Garden. Then you are asked for your identification information and because I trusted OG, I gave it. Then you find out what you have been 'hooked' for. Trials for all kinds of other venues which I can only assume have been given my personal info because one of them has called me 5 times in 3 days already.
I thought Olive Garden would not share my personal information because there is a statement to that effect on the website. I have had nothing but good service, wonderful food and pleasant dining accommodations in the restaurants I have frequented, mostly Lancaster, PA. But this experience online has left a bad taste in my mouth I'm sorry to say.
Please don't affiliate your good name with these types of 'deals' again.

Olive Garden in Albuquerque, NM. Called from Texas to order food for family there. Bob was compassionate, thoughtful, and kind about our situation. Bob Flippen is just the greatest!

Hello! My husband and I have always enjoyed the Olive Garden's food and usually gave $25 Gift Cards for Christmas, anniversary or birthday gifts to family and friends over the years. We always hoped they would reciprocate.
While shopping in Cookeville,TN today, we stopped for lunch and had our usual wonderful meal and the service was great!
But what happened to the portions? Is the O.G. skimping down on the portions?
I ordered my favorite: Braised Beef and Tortelloni which was $10.75. I got about 11 tortelloni and 2 1/2 thin slices of beef and maybe three sliced portobello mushrooms and I had to ask for more sauce to finish my meal for the pastas.
My husband ordered the Venetian Apricot chicken. He got one piece of chicken about 2" by 3" some hard aspargus and some broccoli. He said he never did taste any apricot, and would never get that again. His meal was $9.95.
I would have to think twice about sending anyone there again and telling them to try the great Braised Beef meal.
We were so disappointed. Thank you for listening!

DO NOT GO TO THIS OLIVE GARDEN POOR MANAGEMENT. Spoke with Mr. Don Carr manager at 9280 Roosevelt Blvd Philadelphia and he refused to serve a party of 20 for this upcoming Sunday. He refused because Sunday is his busy day. What my money is not good enough for him. I am a paying customer like everyone else. I contacted corporate office. I believe if the management is bad at this location, what can you expect from the rest of the service at this location. I WILL GIVE THIS LOCATION -100 IF POSSIBLE.

My wife and I have enjoyed dining at O.G.,McPhearson Rd., Fayetteville, NC for many years. However, after learning on the 9th of Aug, that we could have possibly been exposed to Hepatitas A through an employee of O.G. our money will no longer be spent at this eatery. I'm 62 yrs. young, have eaten-out many times. This is a 1st for me. And I've frequented "greasy spoons" on occasion. Now we have to "visit" the county health dept. in order to be vacinnated. A waste of our time and gas. Has O.G. had anything to say but "not-to-worry"? Haven't heard it yet. Therefore, we will never dine at Olive Garden again. Oh, by the way, we ate there on the 8th of Aug.; management was aware that there may have been a problem days prior.

I chose the Olive Garden to visit for my birthday, located in Duncanville, Tx, we arrived around 8:15, when we were about to be directed to seating, I told the hostess where we would like to be seated, she told me that the area was closed because they had a shortage of staff, the manager was called and he too said that side was closed. I told him that there were other people on that side and that was where we wanted to be seated. They then tried to seat us in a high trafic kitchen area and we refused. We were finally seasted at a table in the area we requested, the staff made sure that we knew that they were not happy with us. They were slow to bring food and condiments. I was really afraid to eat the food. We ordered a bottle of wine Moscato, which cost about $30, it was very good, however that same bottle of wine is $11 at Albertson's food chain. When we asked for a box for our wine, we were given a clear plastic bag and told they no longer had boxes. We announced that we could not take a open container out like that, it was against the law. Our son who is a peace officer joined us for my birthday and confired our suspisions, the manager said basically that the lawyers in Florida said that the plastic bag was what they could put it in and that we could take it or leave it. I am pretty sure that the laws are different in every state, In Texas you can not have an open container, Floriday may have some kind of Micky Mouse Law that says you can take alcohol out that way, however it made us feel very uncomfortable. The whole thing ended in a big argument and my party was ruined. We paid the big bill for a terrible evening and left. I was very disappointed.

Gloria 8/13/11
My husband and I went to the olive garden on Walnut St. in Cary,NC for a nice afternoon dinner. It was around 2:30 to 3:00 we had to wait for a table for about 15 min. The restaurant was not crowded at all, alot of empty tables? When the waitress seated us,the airconditioner was blowing right down on us and the table. My husband asked the waitress if we could move to another table, now there was a table right beside us empty, two tables on the other side empty. She said she would have to go to the front and ask the girls at the front if we could move. When she came back she proceeded to say that we could go to the front and wait for a bit longer to get another table. We could not belive our ears. She said it again and I told her to sit in the chair to see how cold it was. She it was not cold, and again we could go wait in the front for another table. I guess the Olive Garden does not believe in customer service. If this restaurant was the only one left on the planet I would not eat there. Now if later I was told it went out of business it would surely not suprise me.

I visit the Olive Garden often with co-workers during lunch. My husband and I have always taken our children there for their birthdays every year. Tonight after we spent $80 on our meal and drinks, we were told that they couldn't sing happy birthday to my twin girls who were turning 7 years old. I even spoke to the manager and practically begged him to sing the birthday song to them like they have done in the past and he just replied with, "No, we can't do it." It made me really sad for my girls. This is the whole reason why we went to the Olive Garden tonight and spent our money there. I'm appalled that they wouldn't take 2 minutes out of their time to sing to a child. It's absurd. I'll take my family elsewhere from now on for birthdays and special occasions and my co-workers and I will not eat lunch there anymore (I have a say in that). I think it sucks that you make a new rule up about not singing when you've done it for years. I'll be sure to spread the word for you because no one informed me of this rule change until after we spent money there.

I just would like to say that the business practices are awful. I served for a party for olive garden employees over a month ago and the company that I served for has still yet to be paid. I would never do business witht his company at all and be sure to reach out to everyone to do the same. I'm sure Olive Garden catered a party that they would not wait over 30 days to be compensated. Poor business

I went to olive garden yesterday with my family and was very much dissapointed. I order for our table and said we wanted the mozzarella fondo to start with. I also asked for her to bring out the salad if she was not to busy, but if not I told her when-ever possible. She then told me that she could not do that, that she had to put my entre in first and then pick the salad to go with it. (bascally I needed to hurry-up and order). I told her "excuse me I have been here before, and I will have an entree, may I have my salad with both intalian and ranch please", she said-"oh ok I will have it right out". Our fondo tasted a little bit more spicy then what I had anticipated. Mind you I order two kids apple juices for the kids with me and she charged us for two adults. I order our meal shrimp primevera, 5 cheese ziti for kid, and chkn fingers w/ meat sauce and shrimp for other kid. All of our food cam out incorrect; ALL OF IT. We sent it back it smelled digusting and tasted even worse. the second time had no result better than the first. Our drinks were mighty low and nerver saw a refill. Our dessert was to go and we left unhappy. The maneger rob did come talk to us but still unhappy.

Are u aware that Twelve Tribe members work in all of your restaurants?
Twelve Tribes (TT) is an international hate group that secretly professes to be the new Nazi’s. TT trains their young to engage in hate crimes and to recruit the youth of America with a smile. TT employees have spy wired your location. They are able to see and hear everything everywhere including the restrooms. They use harmful chemicals to control individuals, groups and businesses by targeting part of their body resulting in symptoms of headaches, foot aches, eye aches, for example. Their membership includes nurses, teachers, professors, pharmacists, researchers, public health, airport, mass transit, Conedison, retail, culinary, secretarial, sanitation, Housing Dept, John Jay College, College Board, United Nations, bankers, traders, prison, court, accounting, and more. They are young and some are older waiting retirement. These individuals must be weeded from our public and private institutions and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Their teenage children must be held over to be tried as adults to avoid having Nazi camps popping up all over the US. It is not about saving their children but rather saving nations.

Olive Garden needs some kind of Dress Code enforced...I just left the Olive Garden and the Restaurant was packed with Minorities who were unshaven, shabbily dressed, combat pants on, baseball hats turned sideways, bare feet in dirty sandals, fat, uncombed hair, and little kids who were even more shabbily dressed. The entire atmosphere was hot and sticky...I completely lost my appetite... I WILL NEVER RETURN TO OLIVE GARDEN AGAIN...EVER....IT HAS BECOME A LOW CLASS RESTAURANT FOR EVEN A LOWER CLASS OF PEOPLE...AND I USE THE TERM PEOPLE VERY LOOSELY...

Owners of Olive Garden and Red Lobster in bed with Michele Obama. Agreeing to cut calories and fat content. Why are they giving in to government nudges to conform. I sure wish American Corporations had some cojones left and would fight back. These two restaurants will not see any more of my money and I'm sure others will follow suit when they learn of this.

Pam 9/16/11
My husband and I dine at Olive Garden on a very regular basis. Many times, we take our children and grandchildren. However. we will not any longer eat at any of your establishments due to the fact that Olive Garden has decided to partner with the government on menu preparations. As Americans, we value freedom and individualism. Unfortunately, Olive Garden has chosen to be a state run business, and we have no interest in patronizing such an establisment.

Jaye Southworth 9/15/11
Now that Darden has gone the way of Michelle's diet plan, I will no longer go to Olive Garden restaurants nor patronize any restaurant owned by Darden. Michelle is a hyposcrite I do not like her dictating to me what good for me and what isn't. I want to make that decision not her. Her most favorite food are french fries and fat cakes. I, my family and friends will boycott your restaurants.

I'd like to say that of all the places I've eaten at or worked at the one place ym family and friends will never got to again is the Olive Garden in Orange Park Fl.. The reason is that My family and sister-in-lwas and their family(total group size 14 people, and one that was in a wheelchair). The wasitress took our oder and that is the last time we saw her.Since I've work in many restrauntes in the pass I went to the maneger. No Help their, infact he walked off like I wasn't their. So we all got up and walked out.I've talked to alot of friends in the area and they tell me that the only way you get service is you have to know some one.
Why don't some one go under cover and really fine out what is going on at some of your places.

Olive garden is one of my favorite restaurant. The one in NOVI, MI is really good. However i have a complaint about a gift card which was activated in florida by my grandma on 06/30/2011. Apparently somebody drained the amount from the card at store 9994, before we tried to use that card in NOVI MI. How did that happen? I was dissapointed.

My mother, daughter and I recently visited the OG in Hagerstown MD. It was a very pleasurable experience. The food was delicious but the service was even beter. Our waiter was exceptional.
To be honest, with the economy we cant afford to go out often but this was money well spent. Kudos to the staff at the Olive Garden in Hagerstown, MD.

On my mothers 92th birthday my son and his family and daughter and her family wanted to take grandma out to eat at Olive Garden. My husband, grandma and I got to the restaurant 20 minutes early to get a table for 11 people. We were the only people in the lobby waiting the hostess said she had two large tables together and had to get one small one. So we waited for 15 minutes. People started coming in the restaurant and were getting seated right away. I asked the hostess if our table was ready. She want back in the dinning room came back and said it was a 45 minute to hour wait. I was so angry I asked to speak to the manager she came and said I'm sorry but, we are very busy. I walked out not to return to Olive Garden in Lake Elmo, Mn.

Mrs. Turnage 7/16/11
My Friend wanted to go to Olive Garden to get Alfredo sauce and Breadsticks..So we got there and there was no place to sit ..so we asked if we could sit in the bar area since it wasn't busy..So we went in there and sat down...When one of the Managers came in and asked us to leave the area since it was for people eating in the bar area..So we go back out front and sat...since now there was a place to sit..And then the Orential Manager came over and said to me that every time I came there I had issues...I haven't been there in a year...He said he might have to ask us to leave..I was shocked at his attitude..He was very rude..He must think that he is the owner of all Olive Gardens...My friend wanted to stay..I will never eat there again. They think that they can talk to you any old way...And I eat out every day and am in charge of a lot of social events in the area..I will never suggest that place to anyone... SORRY...

The olive garden in Trussville, AL treats their employees so badly. I was in there and witnessed a manager yelling at a server for no reason at all. I thought "Ok, maybe he did something wrong and I didn't notice." Five minutes later an employee walks out and quits saying that they are all getting treated like shit. They need new managers up there.

On July 22, 2011 at 1205 P.M. my wife and I went to the Johnsburg/McHenry restaurant for lunch. We have gone there for the last two years on various occasions and always enjoyed our food and the service. On the above date I found cream sauce residue and lettuce on a fork and brought it to our server attention. First of all she seemed annoyed that I brought it up to her. Then my wife checked her silverware and also noticed filth on her forks. We asked her to replace the silverware and she returned with new silverware for me and became even more annoyed when asked to get my wife's replacement. Then I asked her if she was familiar with the menu, and she replied "Yes" but never elaborated on the dish, that I asked her about. Her only rely was "It is self explanatory."When my main dish arrived I was disappointed with the small tiny piece of chicken and when I confronted her about the dish, she walked away and summoned the manger. The female manager then came to me and right at the start, said I quote "I understand you were disrespecting my server." Say WHAT? I was applaud at her comment, to say the least! I was nothing but polite and concerned about eating a fine meal with filthy silverware!I assure you my wife and I will NOT be returning and are highly offended over the treatment and disrespect we received from these tow people. I will no longer recommend that restaurant to anyone. I am very disappointed in the two mentioned people and how they handled a simple issue, not to mention the fact that it's a shame because we really love the food and dining at Olive Garden restaurants. I can only hope this matter is addressed and if so maybe we will reconsider future dining at this restaurant. My address is 5413 N. Queen Anne Road Woodstock, IL 60098 and my telephone number is 815-648-4824. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to express my discontentment with this server and manager. Sincerely Mr. Steve Kapsalis

Went to the Olive Garden in Danvers Massachusetts last evening. Horrid odor on and off during the meal. Turned out they have the bathroom IN the dining room. Yes, feet away from the table where we sat. Needless to say, we were all grossed out!! When I mentioned this to the waiter, he told me they HAD to put the bathroom there. That's nuts~! The other Olive Garden's I've been to have the bathrooms to the left and right of the entry way; far from the dining area.

Bottom line, the waiter told me to fill out a survey. Had I known what that odor was before I paid for my meal; I would not have paid! Disgusting and I'll never to back to an Olive Garden again; It will be a long time before I get that odor out of my nose!~!

Stopped in for a late lunch after a hard day and was amazed and very disappointed
at the lack of attention by waitstaff and management. It was clear to me, simple
five minute meetings are not conducted to get staff ready for the day. Two of the best selling wines were not available, of which the waitress did not know. The waitress tried to serve me warm white wine. After one sip I refused it and she actually tried to score points for not charging me for it or the sampler white wine
she gave me in the beginning, which was too sweet for my taste. The food was as good
as I can do at home, but I was there to pay for the experience of being waited on and a cool glass of wine with my seafood meal. A manager did stop by but was smirking at me and offered no help whatsoever, except for flimsy excuses and let
the waitress take all the blame. For one person, at $17.59, I could have enjoyed
a glass of tap water and three meals with desert at home! Lesson learned.

The olive garden in MD on 5609 SPECTRUM FREDERICK MD 21703, needs a better trained staff and Manager. The manager and staff were VERY unprofessional and extremely inexperience Very bad rude service. Absolutley a Night Mayer and NOT AGAIN and had the worst service of my life.

Used to be an employee of the OG and i STILL have NOT gotten my final paycheck. The manager keeps insisting that "its coming" uh ya didnt know that it took a month to get a paycheck in!!! Companies can most certanly write you out a handwritten company paycheck..no need to wait over a month for back wages.
Also, the management sucks and the waiters have no idea what is going on or how to serve people. The hostesses are rude and snippy with the customers.

Dont go to the OG in Danvers, Mass!!!!!!

We have a restaurant here in Naples on the other side of town. Nothing closer! We LOVE to eat there but not in winter when so busy. We have a site for you in
Bonita Springs, Fl just north of us and you would really be busy I know as there are so many people that live in north Naples, Bonita Springs and surrounding area. Our site is directly on U.S. 41 (Tamiami Trail) next to a CVS Pharmacy and Perkings. Across the road is a shopping center. The property next to ours is for sale and between the two - there is room for a building and parking. Please, please, please consider it or better yet - come down and take a look. Our phone number is: 239 597-4706, e-mail: mwhisman@hotmail.com Please consider, Sincerely, Mary Whisman

If there were no stars I would give that for a rating. I have moved to NC and come to Olive Garden on my birthday and brought many other friends and family here. I just want to say that lately your menu portion size has been shrinking significantly.

I ordered your Chicken parm and spagetti and received onethin piece of chicken smaller than half of a one dollar bill and less than 1/4 cup cooked spagetti. What is going on here?

I loved this restaurant and the fact that gnocchi in sauce is gone and your chocolate galette with choc chips is gone is a real shame.

I did not order one of your new deserts as they did not interest me.

So long Olive Garden

Loire 7/4/11
Olive Garden on the east coast of florida, to be specific in jensen beach is awful. I ordered chicken parm and got deep overfried cutlets and hardly any sauce and about a childs handful of speghetti, it was dry and awful....my husband ordered their pizza and there was hardly any sauce on that.....For the money we paid, we won't be back there......or any OG for that matter.

I have just been informed that you fired all the Joplin MO employees for refusing to wait on Westboro Baptist Church when they came to Joplin to protest at our funeral for our tornado victims. Well, we are spreading the word and I sincerely hope that you can do without Joplin business. I am quite confident that you had employees impacted by this storm. We have lost 35% of our town and 8000 families are homeless. We really didn't need Westboro and their hate speeches while we buried our dead. And we really don't need Olive Garden.

Shame on you!

J Harris 6/9/11
I cannot understand why you would change your meat sauce. I just went to an olive garden in Ohio tonight and had found out that you changed your meat sauce, its terrible, might as well ordered the maniara sauce that I do not like. It had large chunks of tomatoes and very little meat, nothing like your original sauce. Needless to say I will never go to an Olive Garden again.

Olive Garden Sterling Heights Michigan would have to be the most awful experience I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with! Out of the three times I have called to set up dinner parties for 14 of my employee's for our company meetings I have only found that 1 person there is friendly and I wrote her name down last time. Her name is Angel. If you get her, praise God that it wasn't the acclaimed know it all bitch Lynn. I had the unpleasant opportunity of getting Lynn yet again today and upon simply asking what kinds of entree's and drink specials they have available - I was grilled to the 3rd degree about why I wanted this information. It should simply be stated that I want the damn information because I am a business owner that wants to convey to my employee's WHAT I will be paying for. After asking for the information in several different ways, Lynn became huffy with my requests and told me that it is undisclosed information and if I was a regular Olive Garden guest I would know what they sold. And if I didn't like her response, I could call the general manager, Alex, tomorrow.
This is one place that has lost my business. Looks like Andiamo's may be better suited for a REAL customer since Olive Garden Sterling Heights doesn't want my business. Who hires people like Lynn?!
Highly upset,
Sandy

I took my friend out for her 30th bday party to the location in Rochester, Mi along with 8 others. I had been to this very same locations back on January 22nd for my best friends commencement luncheon and we enjoyed the service very much. This location was quick to bring refills, didn't rush us and even helped incorporate the special birthday cake that I brought for my friend. All around great service at this location! Very happy customer :)

THIS IS NOT A REVIEW BUT A QUESTION.WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO OPEN A RESTAURANT IN SANTA BARBARA?JUST RECENTLY THE RUTH CHRIS STEAK HOUSE CLOSED. NOT SURRISING. WE IN SANTA BARBARA ARE NOT ALL WEALTHY. IF YOU TAKE OVER THE RUTH CHRIS LOCATION YOU WOULD BE CLOSE TO MANY RESIDENTIAL AREAS AS WELL AS THE FORGOTTEN FOLK WHO LIVE IN GOLETA. CHECK US OUT. WE CANNOT ALL DRIVE DOWN TO OXNARD OR VENTURA. FORGET DOWNTOWN SANTA BARBARA. TOO EXPENSIVE TO RENT THERE..THANS FOR CONSIDERING THIS REQUEST.MAUREEN LANCE, SANTA B ARBARA CA

I live in Hemet C.A. Southern California, and in our town we only have what the restaurants here would call Italian fine dining. which is another word for cost more money. I wanted to put in a request to your company to look into building a olive garden in my town they have in the past few years added a Chilies and A Applebee's they have made good revenue here. I think it would make for a good profit here and make for good job opportunities as well. Thank you for your time that is again Hemet C.a. Riverside County.

My husband and I have been to this Olive Garden twice since it opened and like A. B. from South Pasadena we thought that the first time was a fluke. Since the Olive Garden had just opened s few weeks prior to our visit. The wait was over and hour (which we expected since it was new), what we didn’t expect was the have cooked dough that came with the dinner my husband ordered. His dinner came after all four of the other dinners. Wait staff were tripping over my father-in-law because they had placed us at a booth and added a chair (he stuck out). The second visit we decided to take my girlfriend for her 59th birthday. What a flop. The wait staff never refilled our water. The breadsticks didn’t come until after the entrée. We kept asking for them and the wait staff along with the manager kept saying that they were out. I couldn’t understand this. We arrived at 4:00 PM on a Friday before the big rush and it wasn’t even busy. It took us 1 ½ hour get our meal. The staff was asked prior to us being seated if they could sing happy birthday to my girlfriend. Well, that didn’t happen. We like A. B. from Pasadena WILL NOT ne going back to this Olive Garden. We will go to Tucson. At least we know that the dinners there are worth the waiting time. What a disappointment, we waited so long for an Olive Garden only. If I could give you a no star rating I would.

I went to the Olive Garden in Spanish Fort Alabama I was in a hurry so I called in a to go order the to go The first thing was it took forever for them to answer the phone and when i got there to pick up my order the togo girl ( her name was Elizabeth) was too busy flirting with the servers to even notice i was standing there when i said excuse me she rolled her eyes like i was interupting her party time and then she took her time getting my order. She came back from the back with a couple of guys she seemed to be all over . didnt seem to care she was out in front of your store with customers waiting for there food. well finally i got my food and was about to be off when i looked back and she was well it looked like to me she was dirty danceing with a black gentelmen in an apron from the kitchen. this is not the kind of service i wanted if i did i would go to a strip club to eat. why on earth would your company want someone like that working there especially out in front where we all see that she is being whoreish after seeing the kitchen help and her i didnt eat my food i droped it in the parking lot for lack of a trash can being there i dont know where her or his hands were before i got my food but i can only guess after seeing her actions

I will never go back to your store

like i said if i wanted to see whores in public i would go to a strip club

yes,i live in hagerstown,maryland..i like the resturant, but one of my complaints is that i really dont care for the salad dressing..i wish u could just get a tossed salad made to your liking with the kind of dressing that u like.also,i dont understand why you have to payfor dipping sauces for your bread..that should automatically come with it..the bread comes with nothing to dip it in and it doesnt even come with butter.and there should be ore side items offered with the entrays.

I went to dine at my favorite restaurant, the Olive Garden on Lexington Springmill Rd in Mansfield Ohio a few weeks back. The line was long and the waitress told us it would be 20 minutes wait. I have problems with my feed and have trouble standing for long periods so when I noticed that the cafe was totally empty I asked the waitress if we could just sit in there for our dinner. She informed me that we would have to sit at the bar to eat in there, though all of the tables were empty, we would have to sit on a bar stool to eat in there. I asked the bartender, a very nice young lady by the way, if we could order our meal and carry it to the table and we were told that only people who request the bartender to wait on them get to sit at the tables in the cafe but if I am too unfortunate as to not know this rule or be privy to the bartenders name I must sit at the bar or wait 20 minutes to sit in the main restaurant.
This is rediculous, What the heck. I understand that the bartender may have repeat customers that you oblige by letting them sit in her area but why make me sit on a bar stool when there were tables open and the bartender was not super busy so it would not have been a great burden for her to pick up another table.
I was a bartender as well as a waitress in the past so I know what this can do.

My point is, if the restaurant is full and you have 6-8 empty tables in the cafe, let people sit there if it is not an over burdon on the waiter/bartender but don't insult the customer by making us KNOW THE RULE that says I have to ASK for the bartender personally to be able to set in the cafe. So what I don't know the bartender/waiter . I just don't understand , This to me is a STUPID, REDICULOUS policy. What are you people thinking?

although I love the food and service at my local olive garden I recently had a bad experience I would like to share with you. I do enjoy lunch with my mother at olive garden frequently so my husband gave me a gift card in my xmas stocking for $50.00. While out to lunch with my mother and 2 other guests on february 15th I attempted to use my gift card towards the lunch check. The waitress came back and apologized stating the gift card was coming up as used, she explained that she could not tell me where it had been used as it is outside their local area. when I came home I dialed the phone no. on the card and was told by the gentleman there that the card had been used in Reading PA, and strangely it had not been swiped through the register but had been overridden by a manager and was entered manually. He gave me the phone no. of the location where it was used and told me to have the manager there call him. When I called the location I was told by a woman she was the district manager, I tried to explain to her what happened and she was very emphatic that this could not happen and she would call me back. She did call me back and very curtly asked me for my name and address and told me she would mail me a replacement. I offered to send her the reciept for the purchase of the gift card as my husband still had it and she said it would not be necessary. Today it is 5 weeks later and we have not recieved it which doesn,t surprise me given the attitude I recieved from her. To think I, a 50 yr old woman would make a suddent turn to a life of crime and to think I would drive 100 miles away in a snow storm to uae a gift card and then take my elderly mother and her friends out for lunch and embarass myself is ridiculous. I think the circumstances of someone using a gift card without the card by a manager is the person who should be questioned. If you would like to look into it it is gift card no.6063 3796 8685 9338 used in store 1525 in reading Pa

Our Olive Garden in Ocala, leaves a lot to be desired. Service has been very poor, always the same excuse, help didn't arrive. Time to get rid of help, that only shows when they. Several smoke and there clothing smells of toacco. Also, have noticed the black olives could be used as a plug on flat tire. Olives have no taste, and are awful.
Not planning a return there, unless we hear good things. There are many other eateries in Ocala Fl.

My wife & I had visted your Olive Garden resturant in Lawrenceville N.J. for dinner. We placed our orders and when we were served, the Lasaguna I ordered was cold. I asked the waiter to please heat it as it was cold. A few moments later the manager came back with the lasaguna and claimed it could not be cold, & he then pulled out a thermomator from his shirt pocket to attempt to show me. Well, you could imagine what I wanted to tell him what he could do with it; but I simply said, "Look, please take a forkfull and try it & yuo will see that it is not hot, do please just put it in the microwave & heat it". This guy then claimed that they do not microwave ovens at all, so I said, "Whatever, just heat it." Well by the time I finally got my meal my wife was already done with her meal. Thus I was sdo frustrated, I pushed the lasaguna away, requested my tab, paid the bill, and never again have or will patronize an Olive Garden resturant.

YOUR LUCKY I AM NOT SENDING MY REVIEW TO MY NEWSPAPERS After spending somE time visting your Local Boynton Besch & Congrss Avenue Olivie Garden Restaurant, my experiance was lesss than welcoming. Your Jeanette took our order an thenm it was who can wait longer . While dining on Salad and waiting for my Bread after 20 minutes I was told the bread sticks were burnt and new ones were in order. Meantime time your Jeanette was busy serving drinks in the bar section to about a dozen drinkers , forgetting my attendance was there and my food was not delieverd to me . By the way she never offered to have me taste the wine selection and so waitng . My companion and I decided to leave and take the food when it finally canme out of the kitchen . To my dismay yuor Manager Claudette was not there to hear my complsint , being a steady GUEST All in All you owe me a Dinner for TWO to give you another try to serving me RIGHT; Advise with your e mail to me at PR.GROUP@JUNO.COM

Open letter to Olive Garden execs:

On February 1, 2011, I made the error of sitting down in the Olive Garden "restaurant" in the Eastwood Mall area of Birmingham, AL to eat food. The hostess was friendly, the waitress was friendly although somewhat detached. The food was absolutely inedible. The food would not pass in a hell made of bad restaurants. The "beef" tasted like dog food. The "chicken" was obviously a frozen thing only recently released from the deep and warmed so that it made no noise when it hit the plate. I believe the "vegetables" were nothing from nature. A bargain Olive Garden says at $18.75. I make $20 an hour, which means I worked more than an hour to pay for this waste.

Execs, You Ought To Be Ashamed. It is hardworking middle class people that has put Olive Garden on the map and you steal our money this way.

I dare you to show up at this restaurant, unidentified, and try to eat what is served there. You better, because I won't be spending any more of my money there - and neither will anyone I know.

San Antonio, TX - 1/15/11 - Culebra/1604. Guest services was horrible. The young hostesses did not know how to manage large/small parties. Waited for 1.50 hrs until finally seated. Someone needs to better manage this staff of clueless broads.

Basically, Olive Garden is a restuarant just like any other place you go to eat at.You order food, they serve it to you, you pay and leave. The staff people have lives and families just like you do.Things happen. Unless you want top rated service and food at your own discretion-stay home and cook!Or if the service you claim to be looking for doesn't meet your standards go to a chain that is actually rated 5 stars! Olive Garden is great. Its the picky, spoiled, complainers who make a big deal out of nothing!! I'm pretty sure the loss of your business is no where near greater than the number of people who dine at Olive Garden! So better find a new restuarant sour pusses!!

Went to an olive garen in ohio and will never visit one again. how about a little caterpillar with your salad. Yes that's right just as I was going to eat my salad. I picked up some lettuce on my fork and looked at a caterpillar. What is so unbelievable is that I thought they were suppose to wash the greens in the salad before they serve them. you mean to tell me that it would not have washed the little bug away. And what's worse is that they just brought out new salads and only offered a dessert. For what they charge that is just disgusting. They really could have at least offered a free meal. I'm not sure I could even give the free meal away.

Hello My family and I have been going to the Olive Garden here in Salisbury MD for many years now. The service is usally really good except for a few waiters and waitress that have been a little hostle towards there costomers. They come to your table to take your drink order and bring it to you and desappear for 20 minutes. Now we found a waiter that is great and if more Olive Garden places had more like him they would be set. We come in ask for Garry and would be seated he would be there take you drink order and come back with them in a matter of minute and take your order. He knows what you drink and knows how you like you food with out asking everytime he really remembers his customers. Sometimes there are just two of us dinning in and sometimes we have groups come in about 25 at a time. we went in last week and asked for this waiter Garry and was told he did not work there anymore because he created a hostil atmosphere for other workers. I had wittnessed what happened one time that a waiter was very belingerent towards a couple of his tables and went in the back to read a news paper while his customers where waiting for him to come out. Garry had said something to him about it and he told Garry to mind his own business. If that a hostil atmophere then they should have fired the other waiter and not Garry. So needless to say we have not been in there since we heard there fired Garry. We are not the only ones that feel that way either. We go in and ask for him and when they tell us he is still not there then are big group leaves the resturant and go to Zia's across the street. I usally have all my business meeting at Olive Garden but I will take my business else where. It was because of him that we kept coming back to Olive Garden in the first place.

I had dinner with my dad at the Olive Garden in New Castle, DE. We got there around 8:00pm and as soon as we were seated, I placed my purse between the chair of our table and the wall of the fireplace next to us (so it wouldn't be stolen without me noticing). After we had a nice meal, we got up and left - forgetting my purse. Ten mins later I realized what happened and immediately called the restauarant to ask them to look for it. The hostess answered and went to check, but claims she didn't see it anywhere. She also said she asked the manager, who also hadn't seen it. At this point I am panicking because we left 20 minutes before the restauarant closed so I have to rush back. When I get there, I ask any staff member I can find if they've seen my purse - all of them say no. I ask to speak with the manager and he never comes over to me. I stood 7 feet away while an employee pointed to me and told him my purse was missing. All the manager replied was "I haven't seen a purse" and then walked away. Infuriated, I left and had my dad call. When he spoke to the manager, the manager claims he never even heard of a purse being taken, which is ridiculous because I watched 5 mins earlier as an employee told him! Based on where my purse was located (tucked away, purposely out of sight), my father informed him it was most likely that a bus-boy or waitress found it when clearing the table. He asked the manager to check again by the employee belongings - the manager said Olive Garden wouldn't hire anyone that would steal. Considering we left the restauarant AFTER they stopped seating new tables and it was almost empty, the chances of another customer taking my bag are very slim. I could not believe the service I got when asking for help to find my purse - the manager completely ignored me and lied to my dad. I filed a police report in the parking lot and waited for each employee to leave, espeically the manager since his story made the least amount of sense. I waited over two and a half hours for the manager to leave, and he never did. Eventually I had to leave because it was getting late but that manager was definitely trying to cover his butt for something. I wrote to the comment section of Olive Garden's website and told them what happened and asked for video surveillance to be checked. Guess what? That location doesn't have video surveillance! I find that really hard to believe considering its 2010 and Olive Garden is a huge chain. I lost so much with my purse being stolen by their criminal employees - my credit cards, debit cards, an iPod, $400 in cash that I was planning to use for presents (now I have no money because I'm a broke college student), and gift certificates to other stores I'd been saving.

This is a warning - Olive Garden does not hire reponsible employees so if you plan on eating at this location (Churchmans Rd, New Castle, DE) guard your possessions carefully.

Not looking for any coupons or such. Just a couple of points. We have a new Olive Garden in Inverness, FL. Finally got thru the door and sat at the bar. Ordered a Corona beer - and it was served without a lime(no biggie). Mentioned it to the bar tender and he just brushed it off. The biggest problem was that we ordered spaghetti and it arrived with a spoon (typical for an italian restaurant while serving spaghetti). The spaghetti was cut into about 2 inch pieces. Why serve a spoon with this dish????? Disappointed it was not prepared or served properly. Hope the changes are made so we can enjoy fine Italian dining. Thank you.

I recently went in to the olive garden in New York the one between 22nd and 23rd street and the service was great but one of the managers was very rude and unprofessional I wish I would of gotten her name the way she looked at the guests and spoke to the employees made it seem like she wants them to feel intimidated by them! I guess it's that power trip but I suggest some one from corporate speaks to the managers that are working at this olive garden because that just makes people not want to go back seeing the way people are being treated by a manager!

I went to the Olive Garden yesterday in Tyngsboro Mass, for lunch. First of all the first part of the parking lot is taken up by take out orders only and everyone else has to park further away especially if there are a lot of cars there. Second of all there were no door greeters and believe me that front door is very hard to pull open after being seated we told the waitress we would like the soup and salad that was advertised for 6.95. She said oh it is 7.50 as that ad does not apply to their restaurant. Her name was ( Amanda). I said you have to be kidding they advertise here on television and we cant get it? She said thats right. Then the salad came and as usual it was a big bowl with two tiny slices of tomatoes I asked her if we could have some more tomatoes for it and she said we are only allowed to give one slice per person. I said you have to be kidding. She said I will give you a couple more if you want. The dressing was so strong tasting it tasted just like bottled Italian dressing from the supermarket and not your own which is suppose to be made there. Well I ordered a dinner and paid more and after thinking about it I should have walked out. Believe me I dont intend to go back. Play me for a fool once You wont do it again.

First I want to thank Olive Garden. I do like wine and it was there that I discovered Riunite Lambrusco. That is the good part. Olive Garden charges $5.00 a glass or $25.00 for a small carafe.
I found the Riunite Lambrusco at Smart and Final grocery store for $3.99 per bottle. 85% less that a bottle by the glass would cost at Olive Garden.

OK, that is the good part. I like soup and their soup is consistently terrible!! Yesterday I ate at the one in San Diego. The minestrone was awful. The vegetables were uncooked, not good in a soup, OK in a salad. And the broth was just water. Like it was just made and had no time to soak up any flavor. I complained since this had happened several time before. The server was quite understanding and I decided to try the pasta fagoli, again terrible no pasta and no beans. That is less than five tiny piece of pasta and less of the beans. So I decided to complain to the manager. He seemed not to really care, but offered to bring me a bowl with more pasta and beans.
But of course the broth was terrible. I pointed it out to the manager and he replied "well soup is suppose to have water in it"
It was around 2:30 and I think they were just preparing a new batch. You really cannot make soup instantly unless your culinary training is limited to top raman!
I suppose you could just write the soup thing off as "never order soup".

But it is not just the soup, or just the stupid manager. It is the food.
I like chicken parmigiana. At Olive garden they deep fry a frozen chicken parmigiana breast! I have ordered it several times and the edges are always over fried and hard as rocks.
This restaurant sucks, and the public should wake up and show them that people really matter.
Hopefully if enough stop going there they will go broke since they have forgot the simple ethic of providing good food at a good price results in success in the restaurant business.
And the reverse ultimately results in failure!
And that is where they belong! There obsession with the bottom line and their stock price shows where American business is going.

My husband and I decided to try our new Olive Garden on Garth Rd. in Baytown, Texas.
It was not crowded, had a lot of staff working, so we felt that at 3:40 p.m., that would be a great time to go in. We walked in the door and the young lady immediately ask how many and proceeded to give that information to a lady for seating purposes. We followed her to our table and, that was the end of our service. We were never waited on again, and even requested at one point, for service. After 25 minutes of sitting with not even anything to drink, we left and went to another Italian Restaurant. My husband now says that he will never go back, and Olive Garden is one of my favorite places to eat.
The staff seem to be extremely unorganized and had a lack of customer service. It would be to the best interest of Amy Fogarty, General Manager of that O.G. location to re-access her staff.

I went to Tyngsboro MA. Olive Garden Labor day evening. I arrived at 8:10pm just to miss the wait and crowd. The hostess stated a 10 minute wait which I thought was reasonable. After a 20 min. wait my husband checked back with hostess when I saw previous customers turning in their red customer beeper and leaving. She said they were short servers and running a little behind. As I sat there three servers said goodnight and left. After asking to see the manager and sitting another 5-10 minutes the hostess did finally seat us. We walked through the dining room and saw (many) tables not cleaned up and a messy floor. We were sitting about three minutes and a waiter came over and greeted us and said he would be our server and it would be just a few minutes. Reasonable enough! I do believe we were seated only because we asked to see a manager. After A few minutes more the female Assistant Manager came over to talk to us and proceeded to apologize and make excuses for the delay and entire situation. After speaking with her she offered the corp. phone number to my husband should we want to place a complaint. My husband had to ask for it, as it was not offered. We waited a few more minutes and at this point I decided to leave, simply because the entire situation made me realize I would no longer enjoy my dinner. We got up and left quietly only for the assistant manager to come running out the door after us to offer some type of compensation.........! It is now 8:40 pm. I asked her for the district manager’s phone number and I said we would be all set. She then told us that the restaurant manager was here and we could talk to him. He came out, apologized and took full responsibility. He began to explain why the whole situation occurred to begin with and said he was caught up ordering pasta and taking care of paper work from a busy day. He said that he had been there 10 hours and had a new baby one week old at home. He offered to compensate us for what had happened and understood that we were very aggravated and hungry at this point. It is now 8:55 pm and we are standing outside only to see a female waitress (the fourth one to leave) get in her car which was parked in one of the three spots reserved for customer pick up-take out! I understand all things don't go great all the time but where was the assistant manager? Don't you think she should have been running the front since customers were still coming in and not leave it up to the hostess and another female waitress as they were really not concerned, after all, it was the end of the evening so let's take a laid back approach and the customers can wait. When I first came to this Olive Garden I was so impressed with the great service, cleanliness and efficiency. The last three times leave much to be desired. The waitresses look sloppy, the tables are not cleaned up and the floor is messy. This is not very appetizing or appealing and certainly not very efficient. In retail I always understood that the customer is always right even if they are dead wrong! After a delay of almost 45-50 minutes on our part I really think your management has a huge problem. It was nice of the general manager to give us a $40.00 gift card for compensation............ but I would have much preferred enjoying my evening, not have my time wasted, much less all the aggravation. A gift card is a nice gesture but certainly is not compensation for the entire situation! I guess the management feels by doing this, all is well and no one else has to know what took place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SURPRIZE!!!!!!!!!!!OLIVE GARDEN is not the only show in town and word of mouth is your best advertisement!!!!!

This used to be one of our favorite places to eat but no more. 3 months ago we had one of "those" nights......everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. The manager was appropriately apologetic and took care of the check as well along with giving us a gift card for $25. Very nice. The biggest issue I had was the fact that their dishwasher simply did not do the trick. We have hard water in the area so water spots are not unusual but they are very unappetizing. Simple fix: buy a filter! That was the first issue and it went downhill from there.
We decided to give them another try last night. Glasses looked filthy, as did the flatwear. One glass I could see and feel the film of a past user's lipstick. I asked for a clean wineglass and was given what, at first appearance, looked clean. After a few swallows I looked down and there was a chunk of something stuck on the INSIDE of my glass. Gross. I didn't use the knife because it too looked suspect.
The food was mediocre. If nothing else, it was hot. So hot it steamed for about 5 minutes before cool enough to eat. Very little sauce on the pasta. Chicken a bit overdone. The server was absolutely annoying as well. The Northglenn Olive Garden is not what it used to be and that's a shame.

I was at Olive Garden on Capital Blvd. Raleigh on 6-12-2010.About 5-6pm time frame.Food was good the server was good the hostess could not wait for me to finish my meal.I was about 3/4 through she came and ask if she could box my remaining food. Seeing how frustated she was I said yes.She then came back and started pulling the dishes and my cup of coffee I told her I wanted my coffee she reached over spilled the cream container never attempted to wipe the spill.I was not offered desert was quickly given the bill and I left,When I pay 18+$ I expect to finish a meal!Without hostess interfering!I was alone so I was not wasting time talking I was eating.I have been many times to this location never was thrown out like yesterday and I doubt if I go back any time soon.YES I will go to others but that one was very convenient for me.

My wife and I was in the Olive Garden on State Rd in Ann Arbor Michigan, Thursday night June the 10th. My wife ordered from the menu soup and salad, the price of the soup and salad was $4.75 OR $4.95. when we received the bill we were charged $9.95. We called the manager and we showed her the menu, the menu said Soups and Salad for $4.95. No ware in the menu did it say Soups and Salad for $9.95 Please explain to me, if the menu says Soups and Salad for $4.95, how can they charge us $9.95? My thinking that Soups and Salad means,Soups and Salad for $4.95 not $9.95!

August 31, 4:30 pm - Roanoke Olive Garden Rsetaurant. We arrived at 4:30 pm so we would not have to wait long. When we arrived, the parking lot was about 20% full-great! We walked in and found a waiting line (7 people). There were a few people eating. I young, blonde hostess said there would be a 10 to 15 mimute wait. OK. After ten minutes, I asked the hostess if we could sit in the bar and have a glass of wine while we waited. You see my friend was just six weeks out of surgery for a total hip replacement and he was leaning on his cane for support. There were two employees just sitting around the bar-maybe one of them could pour a glass of wine? The hostess ignored us. She didn't offer a chair for my friend. She said if we did not want to wait, we could go somewhere else. We did just that and found a great little restaurant with a friendly, educated, and caring staff. I don't that I shall go back to OG again for a long, long time. Previously, we had a mature hostess, Italian, and she took wonderful care of the customers. She would suggest a drink at the bar while we were waiting - guess what, that's more money for your compnay. Maybe you should hire someone to visit your properties and make reports back to you. You might just find out how you're really doing! My e-mail:rlhess@ntelos.net
