Why is my card blocked,i didnt request anything????its a weekend no one available.wow

Hello everyone I recently inquired about a charge on my New Start account and found that I had been being charged the New Start Fee of 19.50 well after my 1 year of being in good standing with the credit union had ended... I contacted my branch and was told that I couldn't get "any" of the fees reversed because I was supposed to go in and convert my New Start account to a green account! then I was told that I could get half of it back which the representative did do but with no explanation why only half? Today I called the Customer service number 702 457 1000 and spoke to another rep and she told me that they `can only reverse Fees within the last days... and then I asked why only 90 days and she told me that its not our responsibility to monitor your account and that I should have gone in after the initial 12 months to convert the account! I was never told nor did I read the fine print telling me hat I personally had to tell them to "STOP" taking my money after the first 1 year was up! It feels like one of those services you sign up for and if you forget to cancel they charge your credit card until you notice "OMG" what's that charge for? Im very put off by this and wish someone would have told me to do that so I could have saved 58.50. you would think a New Start program would be aimed to help you instead of having this kind of hidden agenda.
