I had to chose the ‘only receive email from my email address list’ in order to prevent getting so much spam like some 10 plus years ago. The unfortunate part of that is, if any of your contacts change their email addresses, physical address and phone number at the same time, without letting you know, you will loose contact with them. My current problem is that after sending a couple of informational emails (I’m a research bug) to the people in my address book that want to receive this information, I got locked out, after two messages from Microsoft ‘that these looked like spam‘. I had entered the code to prove I was a person, but to no avail. I looked at several options on proving I was the person the hotmail account belonged to. Was I supposed to put in the original address when I signed up so long ago? What information was I required to give at the time of signup? So how would any of this info show I was me? One option was to create a new email address with them, it wanted name address…! another option wanted a credit card! Was I really getting this from Microsoft? Or was this a security breach?! I chose the option of giving the Subject of the last two emails plus some other minimal info, as those had been the ones I got the ’looks like spam message - enter code to prove you are you‘. Then I was locked out, they wanted another email address to send a message to me about the lockout. I had to make up another email address with another company to be able to proceed. When I received the email, it said it may take 5-7 days to get to the review, and depending on the info, I may or may not be able to get into my hotmail account! I’m thinking of calling their customer service 800 number, but by the other complaints here, it doesn’t look promising. I will file a complaint with the FTC in any case, if customer service doesn’t resolve my problem immediately, because how else will I have a chance of my email account folders and emails remaining intact!!! I’m also considering the FCC.

I recently purhase an all-in one Computer 23" Gateway, I ws not aware that until after I purchased the Computer that you no longer receive Microsoft Word with the purchase, so I purchased Microsoft Word 2010 for $119.00. WHY?? It IS the same as 2003 WORD. I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK. I have 2007 in my old COMPUTER, which could have been used. MICROSOFT YOU ARE THIEVES.

i read an aticle on the conjoined twins getting a reality show,posted thursday by MSN homepage.I enjoyed the article itself. MSN has a"comment on this article" opportunity for the public to post-and i was completely horrified at some of the degrading,cruel,inhumane posts some people wrote-and which were readily available to read by anyone,anytime.MSN should be monitoring/screening these disgusting,cruel comments-some of it was complete hatred and degrading to these girls featured in your MSN article.I am just very upset that public venue is offered by MSN to anyone to post whatever hateful,sexually degrading,inhumane comments for anyone to read. if these cruel people had to post using their real name-they would have thought twice about spewing out the filth i was presented to read! please bring this to corporate attention,and try to find a solution.this should NOT have happened,under your watch. thankyou. I may have made a terrible mistake. The post I made about Mike my be in error. This guy Mike called and asked how my windows 7 was doing, since he could not fix the problems I had previsoisly. I am not sure, but Mike actually may work for HP and I mistook him for an agent from Microsoft since he only talked about Microsoft and Windows, but thinking back, it may be the same guy who tried to fix a problem with a brand new computer of mine, who could not and tried to sell me a another new one with half the memory at the same price and also told me I had to upgrade to windows 7 Professional and tried to charge me $30.00 more than I could buy it for. He worked for HP, I believe, or had some kind of business with them. Maybe he was trying to get me to buy something else. In any case, the support I recieved from the last two Microsoft support people was excellant and I if made a mistake on who Mike works for, since he did not identify his company to me when he called, I am truly sorry to Microsoft for it and I highly recommend the support personal at Microsoft, but in my experience have found the HP supoort personel to be almost perfectly useless.

It would be nice if you had a way to report one of your support people, named Mike, who just hung up on me. I will think twice about ever buying an upgrade (I just purchased the upgrade to Winows 7 Professional) or anything ever again from Microsoft. Mike called from Cincinnati from 513-698-1051

Microsoft as a company should be ashamed of the wat they treat customers who have problems with hacked e-mail accounts. I would like to START some kind of movement to bring all the above to light. I am in the Metro area Of New York City. I am going to local newspaper company and try to get a reporter to write a column on this situation. I suggest everybody do the same.

Strange, I have gotten Microsoft Office 2013 via download from TechNet, everything is fine with it. TOO fine in my opinion! Meaning it is saying it is a fully registered product, and I never entered the key, and telling me I have 5 more installs available and instead of having Consumer Preview, it is saying only Microsoft Office 2013, when I checked for a expiration date there was none, said it was a fully license product. NOW let me ask you, HOW in the WORLD would a beta say that??? Took screen shots to verify this, got a call back from 1-800 MICROSOFT after they reviewed the screen shots, and was told to delete it, and re-install from a location address they email me. YEAH!! Sure I'm going to do that. (Laughing)

to mr gates , don't get me wrong but for myself i think it would be in Microsoft's best interests to give back the ability to put windows on all an owners pc 's under 1 licence that belongs to us . for example i have 3 now and about to have a forth all with windows on board i mean we depend on Microsoft for the ability to do the things we do both online and offline and concentrate on windows ability to defend itself from attack from virus'and hackers. i have used every known windows o/s since 1995 and love it . and have no plans to change that ; but i build my own pc's and repair my own and like other round the world we are on budgets and our windows are a prime investments for us so remember we are your investments as well as you are ours . thank you ,

I was unable to get into my email messages even though I can open my hotmail account. I tried from multiple computers. MSN was quick to take $99 for msn premium support tell me they have a guarantee but the problem is still not solved for over a month. I have spent over 14 hours on the telephone. All they do is put you on hold and they do not return calls. It is impossible to complain to the corporate office. I even pay $20 per month for msn. I am an investor in MSN and think I will sell my stock.

i have been hoppin mad at msntv2 for a ong time now. that is untill i read some of the correspondence in this e mail. i tell you what, my complaints are miniscule compared to the ones listed on this site (email). i truely hope that all you peoples find that your many msn problems are rectified.

MSN is very poor at email support systems, unable to block emails that dont have a valid return address, and yet they can send all the email crap inthe world to my account. Emailing has become a bother, and yet to date MSN has no way of stopping those crappy, unsolicited, rediculous, awful emails. There should be a UNABLE TO SEND ANYMORE EMAIL bin thhat once you enter there domain, they can never ever send you another email. A BLACK HOEL FOR STUIPID EMAIL button. one would think that with MSN having all their technology, they could help consumers stop the consumer email crap. so now i call the companies that email me directly, complain and then call the BBB for harrasing emails. thats what i do, maybe i should start calling the BBB on MSN for failure to provide safe and unsolicited services that i didnt sign up for when opening an email account. fix it or lose customers, and get daily bad reports from BBB, from me.

My account with msn was blocked due to a security problem in their company. No one there is able to help me. I have been working with them for the last 24 hours and they have given me the wrong information on how to correct the problem and get a new password, now due to the way they walked me through it I can't try again for another 24 hours. I can't get anyone to HELP. I even called the corporate office and all I got was an extreamly rude switchboard operator!

if i could give microsoft "support" minus ratings i sure would. i have had crash problems with my windows 7 ultimate for over a eyar and have not been able to register on line my new office 10 pro plus even though i have the original box with product key number. microsoft has deactivated my office suite. windows continues to crash. i complained to the washington attorney general office in seattle and microsoft replied that they are not responsible for their defective products and that i must turn to HP the maker of my laptop. HP now tells me they are not responsible for MS products and I must turn to Microsoft. help me Mr Wizard! i am NOt going to shell out more monye to billy gates, i am a pensioner with limited income. where can i turn to?

First of all i'd like to say that it's hard to get a US based tec. oOn Oct. 21,2011 i clled for tec. support, because i was getting a blank screen. Your (Microsoft tec) asked if eh can get in to my computer, i gave permission at this point after being on ,line with him i could not what he was doing,i kept calling him to no answer i hung up the phone and called back,thes a total of 70 min. On the phone.now the problem is worse all i have after his helpis a blu screen and ICONS, THEN HE TELLS ME THAT FOR A FEE OF 198.00 A ONE TIME FEE THEY WILL FIX MY MY COMPUTER FOR A YEAR, OR 95.00 TO FIX IT THIS TIME.SOME ONE SHOULD LOOK IN TO THIS. (SEAMS LIKE A RIPOFF TO ME) TKANK YOU

Very Very Very disappointed and upset with tech support! The agents I spoke with were rude and condesending. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told we don't have supervisors. I also asked to speak to an American agent and was told there are none. Ever see that commercial for cap one when they call customer service and the foreign agent picks up and says my name is Peggy? They nailed it on the head! Horrible tech support!!!!

I tried to solve a problem with IE8 & SP3 for about a week now, night & day. They just keep giving me/you the run around. It comes down to, if your going to get any help, they expect you to pay for it. These are problems they created when updating/upgrading/whatever you want to call it and you can search and search, the answers are no where to be found, maybe because they don't know them. I've sure tried to find the answers myself. I did find you have to uninstall SP3 before you can uninstall IE8, but my problem is, where did they put them when I installed them??? It says I have IE8, but yet it's no where to be found in add or remove programs. It shows that I have SP3, but it's funny, when I try to remove it, I get Service Pack 3, The system cannot find the file specified. Enough is enough..

my email got blocked over the weekend because someone hacked my account now they will not let me back in . i have important emails there and want it back(one being my resume) . My rating negative 50000000 stars.......
