198 Reviews For Meineke Headquarters & Corporate Office

Meineke is the worst car care facility in the USA. No customer care, no concern for the well being of a customer. Bottom Line Pay More Money, and you will get poor poor quality. You are a disgrace to the indusrty and corporate should be investigated. I've reported you to the BBB. Disgusted Customer

I am a very dissatified customer. In Georgia in order for your car to be inspected you have to pass the emissions test. Since I was at the Tag Office to pay my taxes on the car and Meineke was in the facinity of the Tag Office, I took my car to Meineke in Woodstock, Ga. due to the fact that my check engine light was on. Since, Meineke advertised they do free diagnostic, I had the diagnostic done and was told that I need to have a Catalic Converter installed and this should be sufficient for the repair. This cost me $300.00 and the so called repair was done???????? (which I question this) After the so called repair, I then drove off with the car and not more than 10 minutes the check engine light was on again. I subsequently returned to the Meineke shop. I was told by the Manager that it might be a problem with carbon build up from using gasoline with ethinol (and he stated that he has had customers with this problem) so he suggested that they blow out the system. Once again, this procedure was done and I again, was charged for the blow out service. I then left the shop with my car, and not more than a half hour, the check engine light was on again. I again, returned to the Meineke shop and the Manager had the technician do a diagnostic check on the car again. The technician and the Manager said that I need to have my sensors changed to insure the repair would be complete and I would not have any other trouble with the car. He suggested that I go and get (four) sensors and a PVC valve and return them to him and the repair would be done. (Now this is going on for three days). I went to Advanced Auto parts, which was suggested by Manager, and purchased four sensors which cost me approximately $177.00 and the PVC valve about 2.50. Took them back to the Meineke shop, (this is saturday evening about 5:30 p.m. and the shop was about to close. I suggested to the Manager, that they do the repair on Monday, since the Tag office would be closed during the weekend. The manager ageed, and stated he would call me Monday when it was time to repair the car. Monday came, and no call from the Manager, so therefore I went to the establishment about 1:30 p.m. He stated he was about to call me, and said the technician was ready to repair the car. Looking at all the part purchased he stated that I needed a release valve (or something to that effect) and suggested I go to the Auto store and purchase what was needed. The people never heard of what he wanted and they called the manager to see what he wanted. They told him they never heard of this particular item. I left the Auto store and returned to Meineke. The Manager then called the Ford dealership and told them what I needed. He told me it was a dealership item, and that it would cost me $262.00. At this point, I almost went postal. I told the Manager to give me my parts I purchased and I left (mad as hell) (This was day four). I them took my car to my regular mechanic, and to my suprise,,,,,,, I did not need the converter, sensors or the release valve. As the mechanic looked at my car, I standing their watching his every move (not trusting anyone at this time) he showed me where the hose and the sensors were connected (also to both of our suprise) the hose had been broken and had been taped with black elecric tape. (Positive the Meineke shop broke it, the tape was not dirty of greasy so therefore it was put on recently. (If it had been put on months ago it would have been dirty and greasy) this was not the case. The mechanic also told me that all four of my sensors were working, and that he put the computer on the car, and showed me what the reading were and what they entailed. The sensors had a leak due to the broken hose that was done by Meineke. Of course with a defective hose the sensor readings were wrong. My mechanic showed me what had to be done and explained everything to me. (First, I did not need four (4) sensors, or an release valve from the dealership). Within an hour my car was repaired, checked on the computer and I was told to drive the car until I had at least 60 miles on it (this was on Monday April 16, 2012). Then I returned to my mechanic on today, my car was diagnostic again. My mechanic did a diagnostic test and assured me that the emissions woud be fine and it would pass the emissions. On today April 18, 2012 I took the car for the emissions test and passed with flying colors. (I did not have to get new sensors or a release valve from the dealership....... so therefore I have to come to the conclusion, that I got RIPPED OFF......BIG TIME....) This cost me approximately $672.00. ($517.00 at Meineke and $155.00 at my mechanices repair shop). I also called the Meineke Corporate Office today, and left a message for a lady by the name of Ms. Nagel in the complaint department and await her call. Im VERY DISSATISFIED WITH MEINEKE.

I took my car (1999 Ford) to the Meineke in Longwood, FL. for a power steering failure. My car was worked on and used parts were installed. I still had the same problem so I was back and forth almost every day for about 2 weeks. The mechanic said that whatever he repaired was not the problem. He quessed as to what was wrong with the car. That quessed cost me over $200.00. I spent another $330.00 for a used power steering rack. It cost me over $200.00 for a problem that did not exist. I expected a refund. but that did not happen. Another thing that the mechanic did was to keep my car for 5 days. He said that it was going to be done on a Friday, but I did not get the car back until Tuesday. He was working on everyone's car except mine. That was when I lost my temper.

I have had bad luck in mechanics since moving to MD. Finally yesterday, I decided to take my sister's 1998 Volvo to the Meineke on Annapolis Rd in MD. The owner is a Korean lady who was very nice. I trusted her automatically, and instead of just having them do the brakes, I told her to check everything out. Firstly, I left my car for her to take her time looking over everything. She promised she would call me before the shop closes, and she didn't. That was okay since I had no where to go today. When I did not receive a phone call from her by 11 am I called and was told she had called me so many times and left so many messages on my voicemail. Bah Humbug; I have a great phone that is never not working unless I am overseas. So here comes the diagnosis: a tune up that would cost me more that my BMW tune up, a radiator replacement that would cost me more than my BMW radiator job, and finally front and back discs and pads for over $600 which I thought was about right considering I had priced the parts, and I had done my research in today's labor costs. I told her to do the brake job, and that I would buy the radiator myself and have her install it. Here it is almost 3, and she calls me to tell me that the pads she was going to use was too cheap and flimsy so she would have to use dealer pads which would cost me another $150 extra. At that point, I asked her if she was using factory parts or aftermarket parts for the rest to which she replied that it would cost a lot more if I wanted factory parts! I told her I was under the assumption that factory parts were being used since she never asked me whether I wanted factory or after market parts. At least that is my experience with the more trusting mechanics I have dealt with in the past. She gets to yelling and screaming that led to my yelling and screaming, and I finally hung up the phone. Bottom line is that she quoted me a price, and I agreed. Whether or not she used aftermarket or factory parts is irrelevant, the bottom line is that after I had agreed, she called me to tell me I have to pay an additional $150. In addition to this we have been having this back and forth fighting match over the phone with no resolution. This woman is not only crazy but she does not need to own a retail establishment. I am an Asian from Singapore and I am not racist against other Asians, but this Korean woman seems to think she can do whatever she wants to, and talk however she wants to with whomever she wants to. This is an unprofessional woman who should not be representing a national equity brand. If Meineke is such a great auto shop I sure did not experience this here at the New Carolton, MD location. "Each Meineke Car Care Center location guarantees your satisfaction. Quality workmanship, a friendly professional staff and quality parts are the reasons why our customers rely on Meineke to protect their cars year after year." Well, I am not satisfied with this one, and the parts that were being used were definitely not "quality parts", and the owner/sole front desk staff is most definitely not a friendly professional staff. Three strikes and I will not be taking my car to another Meineke, and I will spread the word to all those I know on facebook, twitter and linkedin. Thanks for reading this, Dr. Suraiya Shaik Ali.

With sincere appreciation I would like to express the exemplary customer service and automotive care I received from George, who is employed at the Meineke Car Care Center located in Gaithersburg, MD. On Thursday, February 16, 2012, for the first time ever, I arrived at that location in order to have my brakes adjusted. Normally, I take my vehicle to the dealer for all maintenance and repair issues. However, with my car’s increasing age I have decided to establish a network of honest, knowledgeable, efficient, effective and reasonably priced automotive care centers. After perusing online reviews of local companies offering brake services I decided to visit Meineke Car Care Center. Since my original new car purchase of my 2002 Toyota Camry I have never arranged for automotive technicians outside of the Toyota service centers’ network to perform maintenance and/or repair work on my vehicle. Since my vehicle is older and the warranty period has expired, in certain circumstances, I find it may be more cost efficient to arrange for other automotive technicians to perform services without sacrificing automotive care quality. In this regard, George did not disappoint. I was most impressed with his knowledge, technical and automotive expertise, willingness to demonstrate the brake adjustment process to a “hesitant” new customer and ability to answer all of my questions with clear and concise responses without any hint of frustration or misrepresentation. George was exceptionally professional and courteous. Without any difficulty he adjusted my brakes and briefly watched over me as I walked through the process to replace my brake light bulb. As a result of his expertise and effective repair work, my car’s braking system is much smoother and fully functional. In all, George’s high level of professionalism, outstanding customer service and excellent rapport were supported by his humble and honest demeanor. Throughout his actions during my service call George embodied all of the worthwhile characteristics that make an automotive care business truly great and profitable. Without any doubt, in the future, I plan to return to the Meineke Car Care Center located in Gaithersburg, MD for my automotive care issues. I have the utmost faith and confidence in George’s competence, automotive skills, commitment to excellence and dedication to customer service. In closing, I hope your organization takes the time to recognize and reward this outstanding employee. I am very appreciative of his work and you should also be grateful for the positive impression and goodwill George creates with the public on behalf of your corporation.

With sincere appreciation I would like to express the exemplary customer service I received from Andrey Sokolov, General Manager, who is employed at the Meineke Car Care Center located in Gaithersburg, MD. On Thursday, February 16, 2012, for the first time ever, I arrived at that location in order to have my brakes adjusted. Normally, I take my vehicle to my Toyota dealer for all maintenance and repair issues. However, with my car’s increasing age I have decided to establish a network of honest, knowledgeable, efficient, effective and reasonably priced automotive care centers. After perusing online reviews of local companies offering brake services I decided to visit Meineke Car Care Center. At the onset Andrey was friendly and highly professional. He quoted reasonable prices and timelines for the brake adjustment service and the replacement of the dogbone mount and engine filter. Andrey also confidently watched and waited as I stood before him and contacted my dealer for price comparisons. Of course, Meineke was more cost efficient. After we discussed the work to be performed I felt very comfortable starting with the brake adjustment service. I was quite impressed by his professionalism and good rapport. He did not mislead me in any way. As a result of my interaction with Andrey I have a very positive impression of Meineke Car Care Center. In closing, I hope your organization values the public goodwill established by outstanding corporate representatives such as Andrey. Based upon my confidence in his competence, whenever necessary, I plan to return to the Meineke Car Care Center located in Gaithersburg, MD for automotive services.

I took my car to Meineke located at 4330 JONESBORO ROAD FOREST PARK, GA 30297. Tel: (404) 363-1538 to have a SIMPLE oil change. I had a coupon which entitled me to an oil change and free tire rotation. When I told the manager what I was there for he said, "I don't know why the keep printing those coupons. I'll check and see if you need a rotation. (SURPRISE!!!!) You don't need a rotation because your good tires are on the front, already." I bought ALL four at the same time!! I didn't say anything because I was in a hurry to move back to SC that day. When a worker, a guilty looking old man, approached me in the office he said, "Your dipstick was broken and it fell apart in my hand when I was trying to change the oil. You need to get another one from a junk yard." That lying old man broke my dipstick and when I mentioned it to the manager he said, "Yeah, he told me about that." WTH???!!! Of course I called customer service who PROMPTLY told me that the location is a franchise and it's up to them to do whatever they want about the situation; they can refuse responsibility. I was also told there is NOTHING I can do about it. OF COURSE these dishonest %@&%*+ds lied and said it was broken when I brought it to them!! If anyone knows who I can complain to, PLEASE let me know. In the meantime, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

I took my car into a local Meineke in Tucson, AZ for a transmission flush and they started touching my motor without authorization and did an oil change not knowing if I even wanted them to do an oil change or even look at my motor. I took in my car for transmission and came out with a broken motor. I talked to the owner because my car only made it to the next parking lot and he said my car was like that when I brought it in. They refunded the oil change, but I still left with my car being brought home in a tow truck. I cant get ahold of anyone in corporate and the owners are not taking responsibility. They fixed what I came in for and broke my motor!

Well I took my car in to get the transmission flushed needless to say its leaking like hell. I took it back they told me it burped out of the dipstick well now i have to carry it back again bc its still leaking so dont take anything here.

Meineke Car Care Center #949 120 N Dupont Hwy New Castle,Delaware I own a 2004 Ford F-250 4x4 pickup, and usually do most minor to moderate repairs myself, but because I was pressed for time, I took my truck to Meineke for repairs. The first visit on 11/28/2011,involved replacing both front rotors, brake pads, and 4x4 hub service, for a total of $602.21 Everything worked fine for about 2 months, after which the truck would pull hard to the left when the brakes were applied. I returned to Meineke on 1/22/2012,and they diagnosed that I needed new front brake calipers and hoses. It was a Sunday, so the manager went out to get all needed parts, some of which came from Pep Boys. When he returned, he had all parts except for the front left side brake hose. All parts were replaced, with the exception of the left side brake hose, for an additional $492.00. I left Meineke, and my brakes were fully functional again, with no more pulling. The next day, I inspected the mechanics work, and discovered that the clips that secure the brake hose assembly to the support bracket on the frame of the truck, were all missing. The hose and metal tubing were just floating back and forth in the bracket mounting hole. I went back to Meineke the next day, and they said that the clips were thrown away, and assured me that the brake line isn't going anywhere. They also added that they do all Ford trucks this way, which I thought was scary in itself. Unfortunately, the aftermarket brake hoses don't come with support clips, but if you buy the OEM Ford ones, they come as one complete assembly with the hose already secured to the mounting bracket. Two days later, the left front side hose started to leak brake fluid at the flare fitting connection. At this point,I no longer wanted Meineke to work on my truck, so I bought two new right and left side brake hose assemblies from Ford,at a cost of $137.33. I installed the new lines myself, and this finally gave me some piece of mind. Meineke's lack of concern for my safety, is not acceptable. All front brake hoses and metal lines are now secure,as they were before Meineke butchered them up. I went back to Meineke, and talked to the manager, asking for him to reimburse me for the hoses that I had to replace. He said he would talk to his regional manager about possibly refunding the cost of one hose. I never received an answer, until I called Meineke Corporate Headquarters. They investigated and told me that no reimbursement is being paid, and because I replaced the hoses myself, all warranties would be void. Thus far,it has cost me a total of $1231.52 for front brake repairs. I will actively be spreading the word about Meineke's price gouging for parts, and inferior workmanship.

Took my truck to meineke for an oil change. They left my cheap filter they put on loose, (heco in mexico), and the oil slowly leaked out over 3 months till it ran dry and almost blew my engine on the freeway. Water overheatead and blew a hose costing over $100. in parts, antifreeze, thermostat, hose that blew, new oil filter, and 4 quarts oil. Went to the store to see if they would make good on there mess up, Manager was real rude, and unprofessional. No sorry, no nothing. He Said 3 months, no way. Got reciepts got pics, got witness. They about to be sued.

I took my truck into one of your franchise shops because it was making a strange noise. The owner of this shop took me back, spun the wheel, and told me that my rear axle was bent, and emplied that replacing the axle would fix the noise. $667. and some change later, I drove my truck off and it was still making the same noise as before I took it in to your shop. I went back and the guy told me that they would have to install new rear end gears and would cost more. I took it to another shop. They checked the axle and two people told me the old axle was NOT bent. The other compay fixed my truck and put the old axle back into the rear end and it's driving fine. You should REALLY check out the people that buy into your name, just to screw people. It is giving your company a VERY BAD name. I will Never take another vehicle into one of your shops and will definitely pass the word. After reading other comments,,,, it appears that you don't give a crap either. Just take advantage of the public and keep on going. It WILL come back to bite you in the butt.

not a good mechanical place i spen over 750 $ to get struts put on my car and a couple other thimgs and to be honest they took my wheel lock and it took me about a week to get it means i had to drive my car with two different size tires in the fron and back of the car because they did not pay attencion when they put the tires back on my car they also broke one of my turn signal lights and i have to pay 80$ extra to get a new one its benn almos 3 weeks sinze and my car still not done yet and i just call to find out wass up and they have me in hold for 20 minutes please go some where else meineke in freedom drive sucks

Back in November 4 2011 My Fiancee Doris Stevenson Took my 2001 Isuzu Rodeo co 951srz d v plates! She had the engine oil changed and had the transmission fluid checked and it was not good so the transmission so the Manager Tyler recommend that the transmission to be flushed so I went there and talk to the Manager and I did say to go ahead and do it so I gave a deposit of 140.00 Dollars and said to call when the parts was in so that the transmission could be Flushed! On 11/11/2011 Doris took back the car to have it worked on told job was 173.66 with my military discount!! On 19-Jan-2012 Doris told me that the transmission was acting funny so I told her to take it back to the shop on 20-Jan-2012. So Doris took it back to the shop and Tyler told the guy to check it out and Doris and her Grand daughter heard the guy saying that he was doing donuts in the back lot and started laughing about it and said that it was the rear end that was going bad!!!! The back axle and did not say anything to Tyler about the transmission slipping in low gear!!! So Doris told me to see what was going on with the car!! So I drove it on Saturday 21-Jan-2012 and just starting off I saw it slipping in Low gear I knew right away that it was the Transmission that was the problem, well after having a transmission flushed just 2 1/2 months before that it was not the gears cause it usually takes a while several thousand miles for a transmission to totally to go bad!! I had many transmissions in my life time and it taken many thousand miles to go bad! I am a taxi driver and owner and this transmission that i am on now haves 125,000 miles on it!! So I took Doris out for a drive around the block and and showed her that it is and must be low on transmission Fluid so on 22-Jan-2012 Tyler told me that he needs the Vin # to the car so he can see it this rear end up in Denver could fit my car! So on 23-Jan-2012 I took my car to a Transmission shop here in Colorado Springs and I had him check it out and see what was causing the slipping of the transmission when he pulled it on the lift it was 4 quarts low on transmission fluid and he replaced the fluids and now it is running with out any problems!! Rear end is fine and no slipping from the transmission so i called and gave Tyler the manager of Meineke car care center at 2446 East Platte in Colorado Springs,Co 80909 and said that why did he want the Vin # it is not the rear end and that the transmission was 4 quarts low and that was the problem and that he was trying to rip me off!! I am going to also notify the State of Colorado Attonerty General and the B.B.B. here in the State I am not very happy with the out come of this!!! and I am just starting what will be done to this outfit!! Jefferson Butler 24-Jan-2012

I got a coupon off internet for a free tire rotation I went there two time to get it done also to get price on dual exhaut I never got either done they said they were busy the thing of it was there was no one doing anything.

I TOOK MY CAR TO A MEINEKE SHOP I NEEDED MY BRAKES DONE, I TOOK MY CAR AT FIRST TO MY DEALERSHIP AND THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME 299.99 TO RESURFACE AND PUT BRAKE AND PAD.I CAL MEINEKE WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE AND THEY SAID OK PLUS TAXES. i WENT THERE THEY TRY TO PULL A FACT ONE AND SAY THE COULD PUT CALIBER,ROTOR AND BRAKE AND PADS FOR 328.00 ITS NICE DEAL BUT I DON'T NEED THAT HE SAID YES YOU DO AND SAID JUST PLEASE DO WHAT I ASK, THEY DID BUT i WAS SCARED AFTER THAT WOULD IF THEY DID A BAD JOB AND

I went into the Sioux falls SD,store on 41st St. and had my oil changed for the second time, when it was finished the person at the register told me that my 2008 Tundra had a lower radiator hose leak, but when he went to show me they had put the bottom pan on so we could not see the leak. I mentioned that I have not noticed any antifreeze on my garage floor and he stated that the leak was laying on the pan and was absorbed by the heat from the motor. He gave me a price of $170.00 dollars for the work and stated it would take about one hour and a half to do. I then went to another car dealership in Sioux Falls and had them check it out and replace for only $104.00 dollars if needed and guess what they told me that there is no leak or ever was, no residue on the pan or anything. Being brought up as a investigator I would care to say that this hose from Meineke's would have never been replaced but I'm sure I would have been charged for it so South Dakotans stay away from this place.

Printed oil change coupon for $19.95. Went to Shop on Long Beach Rd, Oceanside, NY 11572 and told that my car was $26.95 and not $19.95 because my car takes 5/20 oil. No where on the coupon does it say that 5/20 oil is more. Since when does a Honda Accord require special oil. Really a rip off. Taking my coupon to Pep Boys who said they would honor the Meineke Coupon.
