Match.com is one of many companies that spam individuals. I have never been on their website, nor have I ever done business with them. Every time this happens I unsubscribe, and then 90 days after I am back on their list. This is most disgusting. PLEASE BE AWARE!

I signed up for the match.com 3-day FREE trial. Prior to activating the account, I had to give my credit card information & select a package that would be automatically renewed if I did not cancel within 72 hours. I selected a 3-month re-newel at $59.97. I went in to cancel before the 72 hour time frame & was asked why I decided to cancel. I selected "Cost too Much". So they offered me a promotional deal of 3 months at $29.99. I figured why not. When I looked at my bank statement 1 week later I realized they not only charged me the $29.99 but also the $59.97. When I called customer service they basically stated there was nothing that can be done due to their no refund policy. In addition, when I decided to continue with the $29.00 offer that really didn't serve as a full cancellation. Instead it counted towards 6 months of service (they charged the first 3 months at the 59.97, then I get the next 3 months at $29.99. They tried to make it sound like such a great deal... Six months for only $89!!!) Now does that make sense? First off, I only asked for 3 months initially & that was ONLY if I decided not to cancel during the trial. I did decide to cancel due to cost. Instead of canceling me they tack on an additional $60 b/c they think I'd be better off with a 6-month subscription. Didn't I just say that I didn't want to pay the $60 - so why would $80 be ok? Furthermore, the offer said nothing about a 6-month promotion. It said 3 for the price of 1 month. After being on the phone with customer service for almost 45 mins & talking to reps/supervisors who continued to tell me their was nothing that could be done, the issue was corrected (so I hope... as it will take 3 days to reflect in my account). It should have never come down to having to go through this experience. I would not recommend match.com to anyone.

Horrible experience! I joined for 3 months in good faith but was dissatisfied within 6 days. I wish I would have had the chance to o a trial run and I would have known this site was not for me. While I know some people may have had positive experiences, some people don't and if they want a refund they can't get it. I think the customer service is horrible too. I tried to explain my situation and all Jason S kept saying - I understand what you mean but...and I am sorry you feel this way but...Anyone with great customer service knows that if a person is unhappy and makes a strong case that you refund the money. I didn't call 2 months into my subscription but rather 6 days...it is unfair. And I agree with what another person said about getting rid of the winks. They are useless. In addition the graphics on the site are poor.

I joined up just to see what was available. Every time i sign on now even just to check for mail, I have to sign up all over again. How many times do I need to enter the same information? I did respond to one person whom, I believe, you picked for me, So far no response, but when I go to look for one, I get a bunch of new names or am guided to the application page a gain. All i want to do is find out whether the person i sent a note to would like to exchange email.

Yes I signed up for match.com and decided it wasn't for me so I canceled within 24hr's of signing up. they took my money and I got nothing it was $107.95. all they hooked me up with were fat greasy old men. No thanks!!!! wendythatsit@gmail.com

IT IS A LOST CAUSE. NOTHING IS OR WILL BE DONE. I WOULD THINK TWICE IF NOT 3 TIMES BEFORE MAKING THE DECISION TO JOIN.

Maybe it was good at one time, not any more! Nothing but scammers from other countries using fake profiles and pictures. There are very few real people on the site. To make it worse customer service is outsourced and they are rude and don't care. "Danny M" just about told me to do what I wanted and informed me he was in the Nicaugua call center, like it protected him from having to give good service. I wasted my money, a free site would be better. Match seems to have imported all yahoo scammers with their aquistion of yahoo personals. YOu will only get messages from scammers and they will try to get you to go to yahoo messenger within the first 2 lines. If you get an email, there is no profile. Customer servcie tells you to report, but what for? The profiles are removed and another one opens. It's way more frustrating then anything else. I want my money back, I feel scammed.

I started a post above dated 3/10 and now have the results of what happened. PHONED CORPORATE AND I ASKED FOR THE LAST TIME WHAT DO YOU NEED FOR PROOF THAT WE ARE MARRIED.....THEY SAID IT IS A [HE SAID SHE SAID] KIND OF THING.....WELL GUESS WHAT....THAT IS A LIE....I...YES ME... NOT MATCH.... SUGESSESTED A COPY OF OUR MARRIAGE LICENSE....THEY SAID THAT WOULD BE FINE. So far it has taken 3 months to get my wife off match. All they do is hide the profile and when she calls up crying they put it back on. Apparently you need no proof you are not married. All you have to do is say you are not. As of today I have been promised it will be removed today.......time will tell and I will comment on if it was really removed or just hidden again. I am so sick of chasing this that if this fails...next week I will fly out there with my lawyer and get this taken care of. If I have to go that far.....match will be getting a bill....

match.com customer service is terrible.they are rude and 1 way.everything is in their favor. they use standard form letters and premeditated and rehearsed answers.they will not consider a problem that they caused or is their fault.they bomb you with email to resubscribe if you are lucky enough to get out of the auto rebill thing,which you constantly have to recheck.if you turn it off,somehow the next week it gets turned back on.they also send fraudulent emails about winks and emails inyour box that are ficticious to try to get you to rejoin. i paid $100.00 to read an email that was a "no thanks"message from someone i winked at a month before.then the next day they sent me a notice of a wink thatwas from someone i knew.after calling them on the phone,they said that they did not wink at me,nor were still a member..after confronting the "no service"rep's supervisor,they refused to give me a refund,would not tell me who else i could contact,and basically hung up on me. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THAT ANYONE USE THIS SITE MOST OF THE MATCHES YOU GET ARE NOT EVEN ACTIVE AND THEY CAN'T READ YOUR MESSAGES. YOU ARE JUST WASTING TIME AND MONEY FOOLING WITH THIS COMPANY. Today, I subscribed to Match.com. I immediately...within a minute... canceled my account. I called Customer Service and was told I will have to wait 3 business days for them to refund my $107.94 into my bank account. You have my money...I HAVEN'T AND WON'T use your site...even though you took my money! I demand that you credit my bank account with the money you took from me...TODAY!!!! I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Dallas, TX! Give me my refund NOW! I don't care if the CEO has to get in his personal car and go to the bank and have my $107.94 refunded into my bank account...TODAY!!!!!! Your company has me VERY UPSET!!!

I have re-visited Match just recently. WHAT A SHAME, IT USED TO BE ONE OF THE BEST DATING SITES, NOW THEY SEEM TO CHOOSE THE AGE AND DISTANCE THEY WANT YOU TO LOOK AT, AND WHEN YOU TRY AND EXPAND THEIR PARAMETERS AND SAVE IT, IT DOES NOT WORK. I HAVE TRIED TO SAVE AGES 47-59 AND 80 MILES FROM WHERE I LIVE, THEY KEEP SENDING ME 54-65 30 MILES AWAY. THESE ARE NOT ACTIVE LADIES, I SKI INSTRUCT, SCUBA DIVE AND AM FIT. I agree with Brian. Then to add insult to injury, they block your credit card from ever joining in the future after you calm down from poor customer service and unethical billing practices.

I have never been a member, yet I receive member emails. It is not possible to submit a request for correction - the help system requires the correct user name and email address. It is their mistake, and there is no way to fix this.
