The Marshalls store on 125th St. in Harlem, NY ahs quite a few problems. 1- Their merchandise is always thrown all over the place. The store looks like a big bargan basement! Cipped and broken merchandise on display, things all mixed together - not located in the right department. 2- No matter what time of day you go into the store, there's the ongest line I've ever seen at the registers. Although you have many cash registers, there's only maybe 2 or 3 registers open. The registers on the 2nd floor are always closed. The last three times I was in the store, the line was so long I decided not to buy the items that took me an hour to find (because of all the stuff thrown around). 3- I was in a Marshalls in Maryland and found that the same comforter sets were cheaper than the same sets in the store in Harlem. 4 It's hard to find any sales peopleon the floor for assistance.

First, I want to acknowledge Marshalls department store as one of my favorite places to shop. I have been shopping at the 625 Atlantic Ave location for about 10 years now so I am totally shocked and appalled by the service I received on 10/28/2010. I found some fantastic items that came to a total of only $64, which originally would have been $130. One of the items I checked out at the register was this gorgeous vase that was only $7.99. Unfortunately on my way to the register the price tag for the vase fell off. So when the young lady at the register noticed there was no tag, she called over her manager CHARLES BRYANT. He looked at it and said it was $12.99. I told him that the price tag on the vase was $7.99 and it fell off along the way. He said he would go check and be right back (I already waited 20 minutes to be checked out now while standing in front of the register I had to wait another 10 minutes for a total of 30 minutes.) Once he returns, he says that it is the last vase and he has nothing to reference to but he remembers it being $12.99. Once again I was polite and mentioned that I saw the price tag as $7.99 and if the price tag would have stayed on that is what I would have paid. Let me also reference that I know a lot about customer service because I have been hired as a secret shopper by numerous companies and also have managed one of the best bistros in New York for 5 years. By now I would have done anything in my power to leave a customer satisfied (the customer is always right) however not everyone is like me (CHARLES BRYANT.) So I asked him will he negotiate a price and he bluntly said no. Because of his response, I decided not to purchase any of the merchandise I had on the counter and just purchased the vase which totaled out to be $14.14. So because CHARLES BRYANT is always right, my favorite department store MARSHALLS lost a sale of $64 for a $12.99 vase. So all in all, I was totally humiliated in front of a long line of agitated customers because CHARLES BRYANT treated me like an impostor. I tell you who I am; I am a college graduate, a voter, and a taxpayer. So I am asking you, what can be done to solve this issue?

I bought a $500 coffee table from Lafuentes furniture. I then bought a $5 candle holder at Marshalls that was sold along side crystal and stone holders. The one I bought was made of salt stone and ate my table. Marshalls did nothiing but give me a $25 gift card which I took knowing that its all I was going to get. Nice job Marshalls and thanks.

Customer service in Sunset Hills Missouri is poor! Cindy looks a mess every time that I go into the store. Her attitude is horrible and she smells like she is a chain smoker. The manager Tory makes excuses instead of addressing the problem.
