I was a satisfied Wilmington Trust customer for 25yrs. I am now a dissatisfied M & T customer. My wife and i have had nothing but problems and issues since the transfer. We are getting hit with additional charges, you have terminated my wifes quick check card 3 times, we have been double billed thru your computer system, ect....... I removed $ 200 at a ATM and you doubled the amount withdrawn which we are still fighting. Everyone we speak with is rude and argumentative. The branch is Branmar Plaza in Wilmington,DE. The customer service is just horrible!!! I was next to a older gentleman who claimed his Veterans check was being put in ANOTHER persons account? He was told, I quote " Your pretty old and I'm sure you can't remember your account numbers" after he recited them all??? I'm embarrassed for the Corporate office the employees are blatantly ignorant. When it was finally my turn I was asked "and what do you expect me to do for you?" I will be closing my account after the holidays, I'm afraid to do it any sooner. I am currently trying to get my accoun unfrozen since I sent my wife to cash a cashiers check from another M&T bank and they froze account. I was told at the M&T credit union a cashiers check is the same as cash. Guess not because the other branch told me they put a hold on my account when I finally got to the horribly ignorant woman at the branch. This is all after I had to go to the branch due to the fact I was called a liar on the phone and "they would never put a hold on a check with in their network!" Guess M&T are the liars. But the jokes on me ......... MY ACCOUNT IS STILL ON HOLD!!!!!

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET A HOLD OF SOME ONE AT THESE BANK TO LOOK UP A CHECK THAT WAS GIVEN TOO ME ???? BUTT I WANT TO CHECK IT OUT FRIST AN I HAVE'NT BEEN ABLE TO TALK TO ANY ONE ????? AN IT HAS BEEN 14-DAYS SENCE I GOT THE CHECK ?? SO I DO'NT KNOW IF IT GOOD OR NOT ?? AN I HAVE'NT GOT ANY CALL BACK YET ?? OR E-MAIL'

I called the Customer Serivce center today November 26th,2011 and was talk to VERY POORLY AND RUDE from the bank rep and as well the Bank rep Manager/Supervisor Michael Babemen. He seemed to not care about my overdraft fee that was noted on my account and regularly argued with me as if I wasn't a customer to him and as I ask for another supervisor he said to me "he's the kno manager there at that location and there's NOBODY ELSE I COULD SPEAK WITH"! I was VERY UPSET and did not like the feedback I've got this morning and at this point I have very bad suggestions and comments about M & T bank . I feel they are very untrained banks reps and managers are the reason for this as I am a valid customer who received TERRIBLE customer satisfaction and no answer to my question of why I was charged for the fee.

Me and my wife have an unbelielevable bad experience with Liberia Branch office in Manassas Virginia. It seems like their Multi-site Manager JP Godoy is making his own rules so he could spent more time who-knows where..... Tellers are trained to beat customer off even if they bring deposit, even if we never had a customers check returned....My wife would not go there anymore with deposit. Today I had to go there to verify my signature so I can get costumer personal check changed to cashiers check as the Bank of America required. I did not get it certified there after hour and 20 minutes of phone calls and waiting, and waiting. It appers that Manager JP Godoy was not willing to show up, so they were telling me that they "do not do it anymore. Later they even refused to take this as a deposit... We went to another branch of M&T Bank and got it there in 10 minutes, but we wasted 3 hours of our time and later got a nasty phone call from JP GODOY who instead of providing me with written rule of the bank about this "not doing signature confirmation" yelled at me and threatened me with closing our account. What an ass! I hope that he is the only one at this bank. We withdrawing the money, do not deserve treatment like this.

I am not a customer with M&T, however in 2005 I was a victim of Mortgage Fraud. During investigation received a copy of a check that's was made out to myself in the amount of 74,373.05 which I never seen or received. I did not know any of this had happen until 2009, when going to the Glen Burnie Branch I spoke with the bank manager named Patty Lambert, I showed her the check and explained my recent findings, Patty Lambert looked up the acct. Which check was deposited in and acknowledged that her teller should not have let the man deposit that check with out me being there and she wrote up a report and said they were responsible for returning the funds back to me, I didn't hear back from her until I left a message I was on my way up there.Patty Lambert proceeds to tell me that she spoke to a man by the name of Scott that was the head of the bank and he said that they were not going to do anything because I passed my 3 yrs. Only they have failed to recognize that I have 3 yrs. On the discovery... She refuses to send me a letter stating this... Very inconsiderate of a financial institute...

I used to be an M&T Customer and left because of various problems, including, but not limited to fees that would show up associated with online banking when I was told I wouldn't have such fees, poor compatibility with Quicken, and other issues. Unfortunately, my employer uses M&T and occasionally I receive a reimbursement check that I choose to cash at M&T, as my personal account doesn't always have the funds necessary to cover the check. Each time I show up I am told that there is a $10.00 fee. I have no idea what the fee is for, but apparently there is a fee. Then, the teller inevitable tells me that if I join the bank, they will waive the fee! I finally asked one day, why would I join a bank that goes out of its way to screw people who are not bank customers. The teller became very angry and rude to me. She told me that the fee was because of the extra work for the bank to cash the check. I laughed as I realized that I was the only customer at the branch every time I went there, and, by the way, isn't that the teller's job. This practice is fraudulent, usury and criminal. I am now seeking other patrons who have had to pay such fees to file a class action suit.

I wanted to pass on my displeasure with your recent changes made to bill pay and to your interface with Quicken software. First I take offense at you withdrawing funds from my account 6 business days before the payment is scheduled to be paid. Secondly, since following your instructions to set up Quiken I have had nothing but errors in my register. Each day after my software updates I get balance adjustments in my register. Sometimes my balance increases, sometimes it decreases. Bottom line is I can no longer rely on my check register in Quicken. Below is an example. I just want to let you know that your recent change is costing you a customer. I have since opened a checking, savings, and credit card with another bank and once my direct deposits and automatic payments are moved I will be closing ALL of my account with M&T bank.

I have been an m&t customer for 30 years and I am not satisfied with the service I receive at the seneca/cazenovia 14210 branch. I'm tired of the miserable tellers with their rude comments. Something must be done. You can't have change without a change.

My only complaint is M&T started charging $10 every time my overdraft protection kicked in. This is rediculous because I pay it right back via the internet plus if you don't pay it all back right away they charge you interest of I belive 18%. I am going to check around at other banks to see what their overdraft policies say and I will leave M&T if they don't charge extra fees for overdraft protection and if they have free checking and direct deposit.
