I am a 20 year retired, disabled AF NCO who is greatly disturbed by your company selling door matts with a design of the American Flag. I served my country for 20 years so that we would have our freedoms but your organization has soiled the term Freedom and insluted my service and all those living and dead who have served alongside me! You have given Freedom a bad name. What is wrong with you people? Are you not citizens of this country? Do you not know the protocols concerning the care and handling of our flag? It is a sacrilege to have someone walk on and/or wipe their feet on the American Flag.. I have seen our flag burned, stepped upon and torn to shreds in numerous foreign countries, many of which my country and tax dollars have gone to give them aid! Now you people figure it's OK to have our flag stepped on! I am a member of the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and the Retired Enlisted Association. You can be sure that I will be contacting these organizations so that they can do as I am doing and hopefully inform you of the error of your ways by selling such a disgraceful product. If you have any intestinal fortitude and love for your country, you will pull those disgraceful door matts from your sales shelves! It's a DISGRACE! afgunso@comcast.net

I understand that Lowes is selling a doormat of the American Flag. If so, that's a disgrace to our country and especially our military and veterans. Good citizens don't wipe their feet on our flag. Please stop!

When a friend of our's was hired at Lowes, they were having all kinds of changes, and within his first 90 day period, they had already changed their HR person 3 times! This was last year, so they were giving out commissions (spiffs) to their employees based on Special orders, etc. Initially, he was earning and getting those add'l monies, but by winter, there was nothing extra showing up on his paycheck. He asked about it, and was told that he was supposed to have completed a test (for certification or something) before the first 90 days was up, or else, he would forfeit any add'l spiffs. The big problem? NO-ONE had ever told him that, nor was it in writing anywhere that he knew of! He reminded them of the issue with all the different HR ladies, etc., and they agreed with him that it wasn't right, but he was still being told "We can't make any exceptions." He would not have been an exception (unless they do that intentially and often)... in short, Lowes failed him miserably, by not giving him the information in the first place. Since a few hundred dollars is worth fighting for, he wrote to Mr. Niblock directly, explaining the situation. That sorry butt wouldn't even write him back... he asked someone else to call him and tell him that they could do nothing else about it, because the spiffs were coming from their vendors. (You can be sure that Lowes still got his part!!) Lowes was the responsible party for this problem, yet they didn't take responsibility for it... they wouldn't give him one cent of those hundreds of dollars that he had rightfully earned!! Then the next thing that happened was that Lowes announced it was taking the spiffs away from it's employees. (BAD move Lowes!) Some knuckleheads apparently got together and decided they would continue for one year, to give each employee an add'l $amount in each of their paychecks... a formula that consisted of using the total amount of add'l commissions they had earned during the previous year (2011). So now, not only did they not pay my friend the few extra hundred dollars he had earned, they wouldn't even recognize that he had actually earned it... it wasn't even factored into their formula for the tiny bit extra they were to pay him each paycheck!! That's pretty LOW! Also, another small mention, is that he had to pay the most EVER for their Ins. through them, and had the WORST Ins. they had ever had!! Everyone should be careful of what you purchase; look it over carefully, because they will accept nearly anything back as a return... beat up, stuff with nailholes in it, windows that had already been installed, and in conditions you wouldn't believe... most gets put right back on the shelves! (I would never have even given them this 1 Star rating, but I had to!) Lowes needs to understand that without their employees and their customers, they are NOTHING!!

The best thing I can say about lowes is you suck.......

We had a bad situation a few years ago with Lowes when trying to get our kitchen remodeled at a vacation condo. We eventually went with Home Depot. Today, decided to try to purchase a door from Lowes. And guess what...their customer service hasn't changed in the last three years. Here is a copy of the email I am sending Corporate. To whom it may concern, Three years ago, we purchased item number 115484, a Larson 32" storm door with pet door. The door has since weathered quite a bit, the doggy door flap is tearing off the door and the screen is torn. So we want to replace the door with the EXACT SAME DOOR. The door is in stock at your store #1579 located at 1200 North FM 1604 W in San Antonio, TX. I called the store this evening, asked to purchase the door over the phone and arrange for installation. We were told that before the door could be installed, someone would have to first come out and "measure the door". I explained to the clerk and to the on-duty manager, Bernie, (approximately 9:30 pm) that it is the EXACT SAME DOOR! The manager told me this was necessary just in case the door we want to purchase does not fit! Again and again, I explained it is the EXACT SAME DOOR and that the current door works just fine; it just does not look nice any more and that is the reason we wish to replace it!. I also explained we have family coming in from out of state to visit and we are in a time "crunch" for installation. Again, I was told that "well, if it doesn't fit, we cannot be held responsible so we must come out to measure. I then asked if, when they come out to measure, if they can bring the new door with them and install it at that time. I was told "no". I was also told "you will get the measurement fee refunded when the door is installed." That is not the issue; in fact I did not even bring up at any time in the conversation about a possible measurement fee. I finally told your manager, Bernie, that I will just come out tomorrow, purchase the door and hire an independent contractor to install the door. I do not understand why this is so difficult. If we have the exact same door which is operational and we are replacing it with the identical door, then why do we need a measurement appointment first? Common sense says this is not necessary. Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.

Something is seriously Dysfuctional at Lowes. The corporate climate appears to be one of such fear for their jobs they can't function for the customer. Have a rogue store manager- they cannot or will not get the truth- but continue to back store mgmt that not only lies but is wrong. I suggest Mr. Niblock start looking for a new job. His austerity measures from getting rid of quality employees in exchange for seasonal- translated means no loyalty to brand or customer- to a closed loop for handling customer complaints harms the shareholders- Because we consumers can just somewhere else.

Lowe's corporate office needs to check into what is going on with the Lowe's store in Central Bradenton,Fl 34205. The store is understaffed. I walked down 6 aisles before I found someone to help me. Well they couldn't help me because it was not their department. Come to find out that there were only 3 departments with anyone working in them. There are never any loaders. I saw a woman putting some heavy boards in her vehicle and I ask why she didn't ask for help and she told me she was tired of waiting for someone to come and help. I went to the customer service desk and ask why there were no loaders, and she responded that there were none schedule for the day. Really??? This is not a one day occurance. I have shopped there for a long time but I am getting tired of the customer service in the store. On any given day there will be several departments with out the staff scheduled to cover it. Or the only employee scheduled is on a lunch break and the person that is suppose to be covering for said employee doesn't know a thing about that department. Are you a penny pinching company that will not allow for the staff to be hired to cover the departments. Oh yeah, there are never enough cashiers. I was told one day that 4 cashiers called out. You guessed it, Yes it was a weekend. But these people still have their jobs. I went in the other day to look at ordering new blinds. The person that was in the department told me that there was no one in the department and they ask them to cover if they could. The employee told me they knew nothing about blinds and told me how the manager had stepped down to become a cashier, one employee had injured their arm, and that another employee was having surgery. Why was no one hired that knew about blinds to cover them while they are out. The department was a mess. Corporate needs to check the store and get it into shape before they lose their business to Home Depot because they are right down the road from that Lowe's. Or does corporate not care about their customers wants and needs. It sure looks like that Lowe's doesn't care. Oh one more thing. The bull crap about getting a managers override for military discount. The cashier is always waiting for a manager to come to their register. Lines are held up sometimes for 10 minutes. I know this because I was in line behind a military vet. Corporate you need to do something about this store. You have lost me as a customer believe me you probably already lost a lot more.

Too bad you don't show how to give NO stars! I am horrified that this "good American" company is a supporter of abortion. By supporting Susan G Komen Race for the Cure, you are doing that - it is a metter of record that they give MILLIONS to that abortion mill, Planned Parenthood! I am forced to do my shopping at your rivals, due to this policy. I contacted the Board of Directors aover a year ago, and got an answer that Lowe's has no intention of dropping support for Komen. Shame on you!!!

Sorry, Russell, I beg to differ with you. Regarding Lowe's Veterans' Discount, all you have to do it go to the checkout, show your military I.D. card and they will give you the 10% off. We have NEVER had a problem. Lowe's treats us very well and we prefer them and their products/pricing to Home Depot.

I am writing to share the poor customer service we have received from our local Lowes, as well as the 800 customer service number. We have purchased several thousand dollars worth of product from Lowes. Three years ago we purchased gas logs and lost the controller. We have spent several months trying to get help on obtaining a replacement controller. Not only have we received no support in getting the part, but we have also received rude comments from the staff we have been in contact with. Part of the reasons we purchased from Lowes is the customer support we received in the past, as it currently appears, Lowes has fallen in the same level of poor customer service as everyone else. There is no reason to be loyal to them as a company, as they do not support their after sales market.

We contracted with Lowes for replacement windows in September 2011. It is April 23, 2012 and all of the windows are still NOT installed. I have called corporate twice and have failed to get a response. I don't want to drag you through all of the details. We highly recommend you use Home Depot or another big box store for big ticket items.

Most of the time we always have good results when we deal with Lowe's in our Douglasville, Ga store. But this last two weeks they seem to have really failed. We have been looking for cedar mulch and Lowes is the only store anywhere that carries this type of mulch. Well they can't seem to get any of their orders filled and keep saying they don't know when any will be delivered. You would think because these stores are the only ones to carry this product that they would want to keep it stocked well. I am very discouraged with them. Get your ordering and delivery act together. If it is in that much of a demand and you were the only ones that carried it service would be better.

Don't waste your time trying to contact Lowes Corporate Headquarters, while they list an Email Address to contact them, they don't even bother to answer them. I've tried twice to make contact to determine what the policy was for Veterans Discounts and they act like they never heard of a Veteran Discount. Beware of this bunch. If you need something like Lowes sells try Home Depot or Ace Hardware both are much better stores.

I purchased a wall air conditioning unit from Lowe's plus a 4 year warranty. I've been trying to get it fixed since March 17, 2012! A and E services sent our incompetent repairman. THey have the LOWE's Contract. When I finally got a supervisor, he said he needed to contact the "customer care" team to see what could be done! Will take days! DO NOT BUY FROM LOWE'S IF YOU WANT A GOOD PRODUCT AND SERVICE! LOWE'S IS VERY VERY BAD ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. IF I HADN'T PURCHASED THE WARRANTY, I WOULD NOT HAVE CALLED THEM AT ALL. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME. tHEY DON'T EVEN RATE A POOR RATING.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THE LOWE'S STORE IN TROY, ALABAMA!!!!! On March 21, 2012 a order was placed for laminate floor covering with their people to install. I was told that the order would be delivered in their store on April 2, 2012 and they would set up a time to install. As of 5:30pm on April 2, I had not received a call so I called them and spoke with a Asst. Manager he told me that he would call the supplier at 9:00am on April 3, and call me after that. I had not heard anything from them by 10:30am so I called and spoke with a employee at the Troy, Alabama store and she told me that the supplier "Pergo" said that it had been back-ordered and would not be delivered until April 15th. How can this be???? I have company coming for the week-end and my house is a disater. I'm really disappointed with the service that this store has provided!!!! Oh by the way, I put this on a Lowe's Credit Card and I have already received a statement from them and the goods have not been delivered, can you believe that??? Again, I don't think I will ever buy anything else from Lowe's!!!!! Question, are all the stores like this one????

My Oxford Al. store would not except my check. They use Certegy Check Services. They are the ones that stoped Lowes from excepting the check . Ck. $17.57. My banked stated I have $234.00 in my account. Contacted Certegy and was told a third party said do not except the Ck. and said they could not tell me why. Also could not tell me who third party is. So I can not use my ck. at lowe's any more like I used to. HOME Depot hear I come

I probably will never have lowes in derby, ks deliver anything I buy from them ever again. I realized it has been a few months but I noticed an item from my bathroom was stolen, I only had 2 friends since Ive moved into my home come over and my in laws come over to visit often. I am not from here but recently bought the house. I remember when I got my fridge and stove installed by these 2 guys one of the guys asked to use my bathroom and I didnt want to be rude and say no so he used my bathroom, This was around the time they were ready to leave, That guy was very shady but at the time I was too excited to have a stove and a fridge I didnt think twice about what had happened. Later now I realize why he acted like that and wished I had noticed it from that moment. He stole a 50 dollar conch shell from hawaii my husband gave to me. So I do not trust any delivery people in my home anymore.

In my community Lowe's is located about a mile from a big competitor, Home Depot. The customer service at Lowe's is so poor that I always go to Home Depot first, where I am greeted, and there are many helpful clerks, all very knowledgable. If I need help, they provide it, and if I'm just looking, they respect that, too. On my most recent visit to Lowe's I had to go to the cashier to find someone to help me after I walked through the store and found no one. Even Customer Service was too "busy" to help. If this is indicative of how Lowe's conducts business in every store, they should close very soon, especially in my area.

Lowe's has to be one of the worst companies, especially to their workers. For the past 2 months I have been fighting to get my W-2's for taxes. My problem is my local store entered my address incorrectly. Correct street address with wrong city and state. So my one free W2 was sent to someone else. To get a reprint it cost $12. Its just $12, but to me its the principle. I call the store and explain they entered the incorrect address. They agree they did. I told, the Manager won't authorize HR to pay $12 fee to have my W2 reprinted. I am in total disbelieve. So I am suppose to pay for a mistake made that was out of my control. So glad my work there was only seasonal.
