I ordered an xbox bundle package online on Saturday 11/13/10. This is starting to be a hard to get item, so I wanted it before Christmas for my children. It said it was in stock and I proceeded to checkout and paid for the item. I got an email a while later stating that the xbox bundle was canceled because it was unavailable. That's fine I figured I would just find it elsewhere. Well after checking my account they charged me for the xbox bundle that THEY canceled. I am furious. I call CS and they didn't really tell me much expect that I should get a refund in 3-5 days. I want my refund now, it is there fault for charging for something they don't have. Plus if you look at there policy it states that they don't "charge you" until the item ships. Well apparently this didn't ship because THEY canceled it. I am prepared to go to the BBB, my bank, and other venues if I do not get my account credited this week!! I am tempted to never shop there again!!!!

My wife is an employee of your 7155 store in Fairhaven. She is a dam good worker. Your Manager calls her when someone calls in sick she is always there for her co-employees. Here is my problem...She has worked for you since 2008, she is always there for them, but she has never been AVAILABLE to work on Fridays. Because Black Friday, this so called manager Jim O gives her 5pm to 11pm. Hello she is not available to work on Fridays, since day one. He tells her that it is MANDATORY for her to work on Black Friday. Hello how about asking her what time would be better for her. There are other employees there that are not scheduled to work on Black Friday, so why is it so Mandatory for my wife and not another employee....Hello he picks and choses who he likes and does not like! Please give my wife a break she works really hard and DESERVES that day off...She has always been NOT AVAILABLE on Fridays, she is not trying to get out of work, she will work for your company as she is very loyal...but it seems that Mr. Jim is not loyal to his employees. I really wanted to send this e-mail to Paul the District Manager or Dan Rivera but your web-site is much too complicated. My wife is always there early and ready to work, but for Sears Holding to do this is totally unfair. I am writing this comment because she would never think of doing it, she just takes what they give her and rolls with it. I believe that my wife has no infractions and has a very clean attendance record with Sears Holding. Has her husband and loyal friend I CAN NOT sit back and watch this continue...I have asked her to LOOK FOR ANOTHER JOB, due to the fact that Mr. Jim does not RESPECT anyone's feelings or situations. I really hope that someone can help my wife...They know who she is!!!! Miss call me anytime and I'll be there!

I have been shopping at kmart for 30 years and putting things in layaway and the had called me last year because i missed a payment and my layaway was 300.00 and they did not put it back on the shelf. This year i put a little over 60.00 in layaway and they put it back on the shelf the day after i missed a payment no call. They informed me that it was my responseabilty to reed all print . i guess i should have but since i put so many in layaway in all my years. Anyway I will not shop at kmart ever again. This store is in kokomo indiana 765-457-1111 / 705 n dixon road

Kmart, Lawton Oklahoma: I have been shopping at Kmart since my childhood and have found the store to be a delightful experience. However, recently, at the Lawton Oklahoma branch I found the layaway department to be a joke. If it hadn't been for the presence of my fiance, I would have left my packages in the cart and left the store never to return. We stood in line for 1.5 hours waiting to check our goods in. There were only 2 employees working behind the counter and only 1 of which new anything about the process. The lady in front of us was there to pick up her parcels which could not be found. A peak in the storage room was enough to realize there was absolutely no managerial oversight or organization. Bottome line, I did not feel comforatable leaving any packages in their possession. You, whomever is in charge and if there is any managerial oversight most definately need to look into this departement, especially now at the peak of Christmas shopping. Thank for an undesirable experience. Bob Harry (580) 649-7055 anytime!!!

I was interested in purchasing a bundle deal offered online at Kmart.com. The site said that for $299.00 I could purchase a bundle that included: An Xbox 360 slim with a 250GB internal hard drive, built in wi-fi, Kinect, an Xbox 360 slim controller, Xbox 360 Headset, Xbox 360 Composite A/V cable, and Xbox Live. My mother placed the order as a gift, made the payment, and I waited for the package to arrive. When it did, I took it out of the package and plugged it in. Since the hard drive is internal, the only way to confirm its size is to plug it in. I discovered that the hard drive was only 4GB, considerably less than I had agreed to pay for. When I contacted the costumer support number, I spoke with a woman who said that there was a website error and that she could refund the order. When I expressed that I did not want a refund, simply the products advertised to me, she connected me to her supervisor. I spoke with Michael C. and explained that, while I understood the mistake, I felt that the error was not with me and that I should receive the products promised to me. After Michael stated that the error did not mean that they had to honor the offer, I asked if there was anyone else I could speak with. He directed me to speak with the corporate headquarters. I called the number and spoke with a woman named Diane. I once again explained what had happened, and she apologized but said that there were disclaimers that stated it was not the fault of Kmart and that they were under no obligation to honor website errors. When I said that it was illegal to offer products and then, after accepting payment, send something different. Diane stated that she was not about to discuss legalities with me. I at this time handed the phone to my wife, as I had another matter to attend to. My wife explained that she had once been an employee of the company and knew that company policy dictated that the company must honor any price offered, even if it is offered in error. Diane stated that she would fully refund the product and offer a $50 gift card so we could upgrade. My wife explained that since it is an internal hard drive, we are unable to upgrade. My wife stated that we did not want a refund. The product description of the item number 018W029655090001 clearly stated that we were paying for a 250GB hard drive. We were simply requesting was that Kmart honor the agreement it had entered into with us. Diane became very hostile and said she would not offer anything other than the refund. She gave us her phone number and extension and told us that if we wanted to refund all we had to do was callback and the call ended. Furious, I drove to my mothers and took her to te local Kmart to return the merchandise for a full refund. I will never again shop there.

As a K-Mart Manager for 14 years (in July) I have had a problem recently with "snitch racism". This is when an African-American (because it's cosmetically impossible for any other race to pull this scam off) employee can call basically ANY white coworker a racist by phoning a 1-800 snitch "hotline" destroying white lives with C.I.A. "espionage" inspired phone calls from "anonymous sources". If you are W. Bruce Johnson, the CEO of K-Mart and you are reading this, every white employee you have is in danger. All other managers beware of this thoughtless tactic. Calling an old African-American man "Moses" is not racist. Calling a white male a "redneck" and making references to the Mason-Dixon line is utterly deplorable, as are ALL racist terms. If you have to make a stretch to call somebody "possibly racist" like the whole "Moses" thing, then you should look in the mirror and see who is actually prejudiced. You are. The snitch who didn't have the guts to say something to the person's face, but had the guts to get them fired behind their back a month before Christmas during the worst recession our nation has seen since the 1920's. You truly are as much of a coward as you are a racist.

I went to Kmart tonight to see about an unadvertised sale on Huggies. I had been told by a very reliable online coupon site that the store in Cleveland, TN did have them earlier that day. The shelves did not have any and when I asked not only did they say they didn't know anything about it, when a supervisor was called she was rude about it. I so rarely go to Kmart for many reasons: ther store is nasty!, the prices are much higher than Walmart, Target, CVS, etc, and the staff is rude! I will no longer waste my time and will contact corporate offices.

If I could give it a zero or a negative number, I would but you do not offer those. Friday, October 29, I had an operation on my jaw due to osteomyelitis. I have been on antibiotics for 5 months and the surgery was to help prevent further deterioration of the jaw bone. I have been and am still in significant pain. Due to the pain killers and multiple antibiotics, I tend to have a difficult time with concentration, but I am by no means ignorant. I am a professional working two jobs in my community plus volunteering and raising money for charitable organizations. Friday November 5 I went to Kmart in Bangor and put a table and chair set and a bamboo Roman blind and a few other things on layaway because I have chosen not to own a credit card because I believe that they are the cause of many people's finanacial demise. Anyway, the woman behind the layaway counter told me that there was a $10 fee for the layaway which is added to the total and informed me that a cancelation of the layaway will cost me $15. Another woman behind the counter then told me that I qualify for the extended layaway because my total came to over $300. I asked her what that meant and she informed me that I would have 12 weeks instead of 8 to pay off the layaway. I asked if it made any difference financially and she told me that my payments would be less. I agreed, signed and held on to the receipt. Today is November 8. I went back to Kmart today because I was again in Bangor seeing my surgeon. I have cellulitis at the surgical site and am in great pain. I stopped because I realized that the table and chair set is not what I really want and I don't want to settle for less than what I want. There were 3 people in front of me in line. There were 3 women behind the counter. It was the lunch hour. There was a woman picking up her layaway. She made her last payment and the clerk paged someone to retrieve her packages. Then we waited and waited and waited 45 minutes while someone retrieved her packages. They could have asked her to step aside so that the next customer could be waited on, but they all just stood there gabbing. 2 customers had to leave to get back to work. When I was finally at the desk I asked if I could please cancel my layaway. Again I was informed that it would cost me $15. I said I know and it's ok. I had put $40 on the layaway on Friday. They punched into the cash machine and then handed me $10. I asked why and they said, "it's because of the extended layaway" I said "you told me I had to pay $15----not $30" They said "that's just the way it is" I then went to the front and asked to speak to the manager. I repeated to him what had just occured. He took my slip and said he was going to check into it. He came back 10 minutes later and said "that is just the way it is" I told him that his employees are not doing their jobs if they are not informing the customers that there is a difference between the cost of a 8 week or a 12 week layaway and/or cancellation. He told me that that was my opinion. I informed him that I was not satisfied and that I would be contacting you. He said that was my right to do so. ok so here is my complaint. are you trying to go out of business in Bangor? Because your employees are stealing from the business everytime they stand there and gab instead of waiting on customers? You lose money everytime a dissatisfied customer walks out and can better treatment at another store. You lose money everytime that dissatisfied customer shares with others their bad experience at your stores. You lose money every time a customer is treated like they are stupid. you have lost my money for the rest of my life. and I preferred KMart to Walmart and Target because it is the last smaller store (I used to work for Ames and Zayres years ago) When I worked in a superviser role at Ames we believed that in most cases the customer is always right. Treating people like they are right endears them to you and then you build and maintain customer loyalty. We also believed that word of mouth is far more powerful than advertisement. So we want our customers to provide a POSITIVE word to others----not a negative one. I did not expect my entire $40 back, but I did expect the entire $25 back with the $15 for cancellation staying in your store. That is what I was told and explained. I didn't read the tiny print (and it's baby blue on white which is VERY difficult for me to read not only because of my medications but also because I am legally blind and have retinal degeneration in both eyes) YOur manager treated me like I were some low life rather than someone who deserves respect. I happen to believe that people deserve respect until they prove that they do not. I would truly appreciate if you would send me the additional moneys owed me and if you would please ensure that in the future this does not happen to other people with visual impairments. You may contact me at ehopkins@mrhme.org I live 60+ miles away from Bangor and used to drive down once a month for your sales but now I will take my business to Walmart. Sincerely, Elaina S. Hopkins

I can't believe KMart runs a ad and they don't even have the product in their stores or on line! This is exactly why I stopped shopping at this place over 20 years ago. They were terrible then and just as worse NOW.

I'm sure that writing this is only going to give me personal satisfaction, and not bring any results, but hopefully the investors of this company will either insist on change for this retail chain, or take their money elsewhere. Today I went to the customer service counter to return an "unworn" halloween costume that I purchased the day before, with receipt in hand, still in the bag. The service person had a sign in her hand, and was about to display that stated no returns on halloween costumes after halloween. I explained that I had purchased many costumes, and wanted to only be refunded for the unused costume, or given store credit. She told me of the corporate policy, and then called the manager in charge to repeat to me that there is a corporate policy that states they can't return my item. I said to her "she was basically calling me a liar, making the assumption that YOUR customers are trying to rip this company off! I would not have made this purchase if I thought I would encounter this experience. At this point, it wouldn't matter to me how much savings you would offer in all of the expensive advertising, I will not subject myself to any more humiliation from the Bellingham Wa. Kmart store!!! With the economy the way it is, can any store afford to lose customers? You just did!!!

I just waited for over 10 minutes to speak with a manager about the extremely poor customer service that I continue to receive from the local K-Mart store. More than 5 different people picked up the phone to ask me who I was waiting for. I told each and every one that I was waiting for a manager, however, NO MANAGER EVER PICKED UP PHONE. This store is about 2 blocks from my home in Denver, CO. I will never go there again. The customer service is horrible, the store is filthy, and the majority of the employees are not helpful at all! I will take my business to Target, that is at least 5 miles from my house. Heck, I may even drive more than 10 miles to get to a Wal-Mart rather than ever stepping foot back in K-Mart again. Rather than closing specific stores down, they should shut down the entire company, or completely restructure themselves to become a viable business!

Sears and Kmart are the devil! Can you believe that half of the things I put on layaway were lost when I went to pick them up!! I was so angry that I didn't get nothing! I see a "out of business sign" in the future of this corporation!! That is all!!

In the past 3 weeks, our newspaper carried the Kmart ad which had the Wii Bundle for 199.00. I went to the store the 1st time it was advertised and they didn't have any. I wanted to put it in layaway for my grandchildren for Christmas. When asked if they were getting more, I was told they didn't know but to check on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. That is when their truck comes in. I checked those days and nothing. Low and behold, this past Sunday, the ad appeared again. I called them rather than make the 10 one way trip. They didn't have any, didn't know if or when they would have them. I told them this is false advertisement. I was told they don't order them and that they are sent to them by Nintendo and that they come in by United Parcel, not on their usual shipment. I am soooooo mad!!!! How can you advertise something you don't have, don't know if you will have, or that you can't even order. I am on a fixed income and putting this in layaway was a way for me to purchase this item for my grandchildren for Christmas. I think it is absolutely unacceptable to lead customers on when you know you supposedly don't have any control over ordering this item. Oddly enough, Walmart and Meijer's in our area have them all the time. Unfortunately they don't have layaway. Kmart----stop advertising something you don't have and probably won't have! THAT IS FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM SO SORRY THAT I HAVE A HUGE COMPLAINT. MY HUSBAND AND I RECENTLY VISITED MAGGIE VALLEY, N.C. AND FOUND A KMART IN OR AT THE EDGE OF WAYNESVILLE, N.C. THE 1ST TIME I WENT IN I BOUT A GOOD FEW THINGS, RUSHED OUT SO HUBBY WOULDN'T BE KEPT WAITING AND UNFORTUNEATELY LEFT BEHIND A BAG OF STUFF. BEING AS THAT PARTICULAR STOR HIRES YOUNG KIDS (20'S) THEY ARE NOT NEAR AS RESPONDIBLE AS OLDER WOMRN. AT LEAST IN A WAL-MART THE CASHIER ALWAYS CHECKS TO MAKE SURE YOU GET ALL OF YOUR BAGS. NEEDLESS TO SAY THIS CASHIER DID NOT PAY ATTENTION. ULTIMATELY I KNOW IT IS MY OWN RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK, BUT CONSIDERING I'VE HAD A STROKE AND GETTING MEMORY LOSS TO BOOT, IY WOULD HAVRE BEEN WONDERFUL THAT THE CASHIER WOULD CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYTHING WAS TAKEN THE 1ST TIME. WELL, WENT BACK TO GET IT. HAD TO RETURN A FEW ITEMS ANYWAY A 2'ND TIME, THEN BOUGHT A FEW MORE ITEMS. ONE OF WHICH WAS A JOE BOXER FLEECE ROBE. GOT BACK TO MOTEL, LOOKED IT OVER AND LOVING IT, PUT IT ON AGAIN, ONLY TO FIND THE GIRL AT THE RETURN DESK DID NOT TAKE OFF THE PLASTIC GIZMO THAT PREVENTS THEFT SO MUBBY HAD TO PRY IT OFF WITH KNIFE AND PLIERS, WHICH PUT A RIP IN THE UNDERARM. BY NOW I'M FUMING AT THE IRRESPONSIBILITY OF THE CLERKS IN THAT STORE. COULDN'T GO BACK ANYMOR AS WE LEFT THE NEXT MORNING. MY HUSBAND WAS ALSO VERY UPSET. NOW I HAVE A ROBE THAT I HAVE TO HAVE SOMEONE ELSE MEND BECAUSE OF THE STROKE, AND THE END RESULT KNOWING I WILL DEFINITELY NEVER RECCOMEND ANYONE GOING TO THAT PARTICULAR KMART. WHAT DO YOUR STORES CONSIDER PROPER TRAINING ANYWAY? WE HAVE OUR OWN PROBLEMS IN FLA. TOO. ALL I KNOW NO MORE KMARTS FOR ME!?! THESE STORE HIRE KIDS LITERALLY WITH NO "COMMON SENSE".

Letting everyone know I was denied a television, because they wouldn't honor an incorrect prices. Roma Id number 36515 and Ivan Id number 39677. A television that was 42" inches Vizio was originally $589.99 was scratched out or lined out, and new price is $300. I argued with this company and all they could say is we could give you 10% discount. If I am not mistaken the customer is always right, and I kept telling them and showing them the mistake, but would not sell me the television for the price of $300. They need to honor their mistake.

Looks to me after reading all these comments that your organization is in need of a PR makover. Of couse your employees are not going to represent you well if they themselves are miserable in there jobs.......with a company that is credited with 55 billion in sales annualy think you might want to be more creative with your company dynamics. Think this was one of the key factures in your original demise. both Sears and Kmart have some dust around their edges that need to be shaken off. Your employees are snarly and your stores and technology dated. Truth does hurt. You can crunch numbers, ideas (lightbulbs) etc......but in the end you can not crunch people. I am the one who first pitched the K SMART idea to you back in 2004....I am sure you did not mean to overlook me???? was so surprised and flattered when I saw the ads...YET hmmmm..let's talk, I am sure you still have my e-mail shoved away someplace....address is still the same remember artful1designer that's a one in the middle....I have more ideas to add to your KSMART branding campaign that would add the "Human Touch" and a little caring on your part toward your customers resulting in improvement of your bottomline....you have to remember that people are feeling kind of kicked around these days???

Firstly, if I could give a lower rating than one star I would. I really wish there were negative star. I received an ad in the newspaper today that has a blurb on it about 99 cent clearance apparel. It said 99 cents clearance apparel, excludes denim, intimate apparel, and maternity. When I read the ad I thought no this has to be a misprint so I called our local K-mart and was advised that as long as the clearance apparel was not one of the listed exclusions that it was indeed 99 cents. I went to the store and loaded up my basket careful not to get any of the excluded items and only took from racks that had a clearance sign on them. Low and behold when I go through the register to pay for my items I am told that it was only a few items that were 99 cents. It was only spring and summer items. Everything I had in my cart was tank tops, shorts, and the super thin t-shirts. I was uset and asked for a manager. When the manager came over I showed him the ad in the paper and he said that was not what the ad meant. I pressed the issue and stated that if it were only to be spring and summer apparel then the ad should state that; however, it clearly did not. He told me that it didn't matter what the ad actually said, it was only select items. I left the store without buying a single thing. (I also had regular priced items and all together my total would have been well over $150.00.) I'm so glad that K-Mart doesn't need the money. Unfortunately this is not the first problem I've had a K-Mart. It never fails, every time I go into the store to purchase things one or all of them are mismarked or the shelf was tagged wrong or the items are in the wrong place. After today I will never set foot in another K-Mart as long as I live. I am also thinking of starting a chain email with today's story and passing it on to everyone I know. I also believe what they did with that ad is against the law. Bait and Switch is exactly what they did.

I went to the Muscle Shoals AL KMart today. The manager was blocking off the handicapped spots for a "safety" event. I asked her why she was making the area inaccessible for handicapped persons and she said it was only for 4-5 hours and the police would be there. I asked her to ask the police when they arrived if it was not illegal to block off the handicapped parking. She said she had left a couple of spots (the ones furthest from the store.) She yelled at me that it was perfectly legal and then added loudly "THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY! WE CAN DO WHAT WE WANT!" I have shopped at KMart for 50 years. No more. I will contact Corporate Headquarters and tell all my friends what happened. I only have 467 friends on Facebook but if I forward this to them and they forward it to their friends and so on, you will lose business over this shrew of a hot-headed manager with a big mouth who apparently enjoys yelling at a handicapped woman.

I'm not very happy just came from the Kmart at 7700 Brookpark Rd Cleveland, Oh 44129 I had 2 layaways and was in there on 10/7/10 to get out the oldest one and the girl in layaway, would not leasen to me. I went back today to pick up my layaway and it was put back yesterday for non payment a payment was made on 10/7/10 for 9.02 and that money was not refund to me. The manager back there was not helpful at all. I will never shop there again. From now on Walmart gets my business. Asked for the number to Corparte and was told I would have to talk to a manager, what is that? I do not believe they deserve 1 star put you can not go any lower.
