In 2008 I bought a couch and matching chair from Kane's for $1700.00. For another $150.00 I purchased a "lifetime guarantee" that was stated on my receipt, no limatations noted. My wife and I are "part timers", about four months a year in FL. Obviously the furniture has not had much use even though it was purchased in 2008.
The center section of the couch has "collapsed" about five inches. Flipped the couched over and four springs stapled to the so called frame had come out.
Returned to store in Pinellas Park with my receipt with warranty on it expecting Kane's to send someone out to repair couch. I started with the lady at the desk and she told me the warranty only covered fabric.
I pointed out that my warranty said "lifetime" with no other stipulations. She repeated her stance several times and I did the same to no avail . I asked to see the manager and got ASSIT manager Sherri. Same story and process except she was very rude to me and obviously felt the best way to get rid of me was rudeness.
I asked to see the general manager, Tom, but he was not in. I was told if I left a phone number he would call me. About two hours later, he did. He had pulled the transaction and didn't understand what I was complaining about because the store's copy plainly stated fabric only. Hmmm , store copy and my copy different.?? I question Tom about that and he asked me to fax him a copy of my paper work. No access to fax so I went back to store and lady out front made a copy which was five pages long for Tom.
Latter on the phone Tom said he would contact and send copy of my pages to cooperate and call me back.
May, 7, 2012, Tom called and said cooperate wasn't going to do any thing. My problem.
I want to say at this point that Tom was nice and appeared to understand my position. I asked for name and phone number at cooperate I could discuss my issue with. He gave the the number of customer service, Christine Ball. I have called several times and Mary answers the phone and puts me through but all I get is voice mail. I leave message saying I want to discuss a warranty issue and leave my phone number. Never a response from Christine who is in charge of customer service.
I am calling BB and also trying to get in touch with the CEO. I doubt that will happen as the customer service rep is protected from the customer so I am sure the CEO has many more layers to isolate him from the customers.
Do I need to say that all Kane's wants is your money and you go away if you have a problem and how poorly I think of them. Their warranty is meaningless and I see they now advertise "free life time" warranty
That I paid for. I assume their "free" warranty is worth the price you are paying for it. I know what my paid for warranty is worth!!

| They are crooks!!! Don't try to buy a wall unit from them they show a group price of one thing and you think it is for the whole unit and it does not include the most important part (the tv console)! Went to store to purchase it and the total was $500 more than what sign says!! Even if you go on line and pull it up it shows the price in top right corner, but you have to read the small print at the bottom under notes to read the console is $500 more!!!!! I will never shop at Kane's again!!! Havertys all the way!!!! |

Our "leather" furniture is cracking after 3 1/2 yrs. And we even bought leather Protection for 100's of Dollars and a Warranty, to find out it only covers accidental damage and the Leather is not "real" leather. It is called bonded leather.
It took a month for the store to send someone to take pictures of a crumbling love seat and chair.
Another month after numerous phone calls to have a manager call me back and tell me that they won't give me my money back on the leather protection that did no good, since it's not real leather to begin with.
No one ever said to us that it's Bonded Leather, the original Bill of Sale says Leather.
I will file a report with the Better Business Bureau.

| I gave my daughter my credit card and told her to check out Kane's Furniture for a new living room. She went with three of her friends and upon entering the store was treaated extremly rude. They assumed she had no money and didn't allow her to see the furniture. They questioned her ,asking question that were ridiculous. She came home very upset, feeling that they were racist against her. | the manager at Kanes in Orlando FLorida told us when we complained about our furniture and it not being real leather as we were told he sated to my husband and I if it is bonded leather we dont have to reveal that and are allowed to tell u it is real. we bought a warantee for our purchase. within a few months the relcining mechanism kept getting stuck and the seam ripped and fell apart they came out to tend to that but the mechanism still doesnt work and the NOT REAL leather is shedding and falling apart and the warantee company said they couldnt do anything and the manager Tom said they had problems with the warantee company. He told me the general manager would call us the next day we even brought one of the pieces with us he took pix of. he said if we bought new furniture there they would give us a deal the deal being free delivery whoop de do!!!! the general manager 4 days later still hadnt called. I called TOm informed me they have a new general manager and he didnt know when he would be able to discuss this with him and how long it would take to get back to me. the cafe table and chairs i bought it took us 9 months to get the hardware to put it together and use it. they fixed our rocking recliner twice and its so far back my feet no longer hit the floor. another couch I bought was falling apart upon delivery and the get this the delivery guys say yea there furniture is made of poor quality and they literally staple it together cuz i saw the staples all fell loose and the arm rests fell off.i jsut reported them to the BBB. I spoke to 3 differnet people and they all had KANE furniture problems and had to go out and buy new furniture elsewhere. KANES really sucks and I want to report them with my pictures to that shame on you tv show but cant figure out how to go about that. |

| Waited 6 weeks for couch set , Then when finally delivered they sent me couch with no legs And refused to help me get some , they took couch back the manager at the new port richey kanes store was rude and I will never deal with these people again we own four businesses in the new port richey area , now on all our doors it says do not buy at Kanes furniture npr ........ very rude people store has terrible service |

| Just got off phone with yet another rep. from Kane's in Lakeland,Fl==This must be the 2 dozen calls that I have made about my sofa and love seat that I purchased from them on 1/29/12. The very next day I called them with the problems with the 2 pieces I purchased. All I do is call them,tell my story to each and every one--and no one calls me back from the Store Manager Michael to all other rep. They sure do not stand by their product or give you one bit of Customer Service--wish I had been on this web site before I bought my furniture--as I am having the same problems as everyone else listed here. I even paid extra for the stain treatment warranty--I bet that isn't worth a damn as well. Corporrate for sure doesn't read any of this mail. |

When we lived in Bradenton, FL I bought some furniture from our local Kane's store. I had problems with it and they did not resolve it. I bought all future furniture from other stores, i.e. Haverty's and always got very good service. Even Rooms to Go, one time made sure I was happy.
Well, we moved to Ocala and I needed a new desk. So not knowing the area, I saw a Kane's store and figured I would give it another shot. Found a desk I really liked, but my husband wanted me to make sure it was all wood and not press-wood, because the desk was $1,000. While on the phone with my husband, I asked the salesman if there was any press wood in the desk, and he assured me there was not. When the desk was delivered, my husband looked as they were putting it together and said, "this thing is all presswood, you were lied to." When the salesman called later that day, I told him it had presswood in it and I was not very happy. He said something like it was covered in real wood--- and that was the end--so I paid $1,000 for something I could of got a Wal-Mart for two or three hundred dollars. And trying to get someone from Kanes to call me back----That isn't going to happen. |

| I just brought a brand new sofa set, got it home and fouond a big tear on the love seat. I quickely called kanes and the general manager BUD was very rude. he told me that i would have to keep it just like it is and that he do not have to take it back at all. He also went on to say well we did not dilever it so how do we know you did not damage it. First and fore most I never shopped there so it was my first time. secondly I did not sing anything at the warehouse, the guys loaded it with the plaste on and we took it home. Had i've known to inspect it there i would have i dont have that kind of money to just throw away. The general manager was yelling and cutting me off I couuld not believe that. i had a few neighbors over and it was on speaker phone they were in shark too. They were so nice at the store but now that something is wrong with their product they get really nasty. I do not want anything from them ever again and first thing in the morning i will be taking this sofa set back to the store. it says to report it within 72 hours well it has not even been a hour for me. Please get the word out to our local people this place suck. |

We are thoroughly enjoying our furniture and our neighbors are in awe. Top shelf furniture for sure. Also, the delivery men were very professional and friendly.
One of the reasons we bought the amount of funiture that we did was because Kane's gave us plenty of breathing room to decide what we wanted. But the salesman was always within our sight but was right there whenever we had a question. The experience on the whole was wonderful and by far the best experience we have had with a sales person. We will go back for more. |

| The delivery drivers were some of the nicest men my wife and I have had the pleasure of dealing with. They were very helpful and accommodating. We don't remember the names of the delivery men but I want to say that they were very kind, patient, friendly and professional. I am planning on purchasing more furniture based on how I was treated at the store and how well I was treated by delivery. |

My husband and I ordered a chouch and loveseat about 4 months ago form kanes(we usuall purchase from RTG, and now I see why).
The Loveseat cushions are continuesly falling to the ground do to them not staying in place on the furniture. About the 2nd-3rd time of sitting on it you can gurantee the cushion will slide off the next time!( we have to constantly tuck them into the back cushions)My daughter, who is only 1 will go to get down and when she get to the front of the cushion she gets flipped off!
We had a technician come out and look at it and we were told then that its not a defect (I guess thats normal for their products??)and that we can try to put rubber matts under the cushions.
Fisrt off I didn't pay $1000 to have to rig my furniture, secondly what happend to "Kanes gurantees quality furniture to last a lifetime" when mine isn't even making it to 6 months!! Then for the company not to replace the product nor to offer anything to help??? That is just poor customer service. The store manager in Ocala wouldn't even talk to me or my husband but instead had the secratray do his dirty work!
My Couch and Loveseat from Biglots(the set previous to this purchase) was better quality and lasted a heck of a lot longer!
I have launched a call to corpoate where I had to leave a message, Im now waiting for them to call me back about this matter. I will update you all about what they once I know something, Hopefully they will back their products.(its ashanme to b/c I was going to purchase the matching recliner until this all happend) |

| This company does not care about customer service. They sell inferior quality merchandise and then will not back it up. Purchased a living room suite 2 years ago it started peeling and they said I waited too long. It looks like it has been in a home for 10 or more years. We have no kids, no dogs and work 8-12hrs a day. So how can it be "abused". It is a shame to be taken advantage of by a local company. I am telling all and everyone I know to stay away from this company. They sell very inferior quaility furniture......SHAME ON THEM..... |

i recentley went to kanes and after looking through there nice selection of furniture i found stuff i liked.when approached by the sales person i told him what i wanted to buy and that i was prepared to write the check. i said i wanted a little better deal than what was posted. now what i was looking at was gonna cost upwards of $5000.00 a pretty decent amount to spend. he told me he could maybe get me 200 off however a mailer went out to people for labor day and they would get a better deal than me.well as you can imagine that didnt sit well.so i said alot of those people probley wont show so why dont you find out what kind of dwal you can get me.he came back and said nothing!
i left, but i liked it so much i went to another kanes store i went in and said i know exactelywhat i want can you get me a price. she was nice, came back with a sale coupon and said i will give it to you early.so i made the purchase.
later i went home and thought about what i bought my roomate decided he would buy some other stuff to go with it all. so the next day we went back to the original store on colonial and got a different salesman we told him what we wanted. after 20x back and forth and them not knowing there own sale and trying to get us to buy a 24 dollar vase because thatwould bring us to enough to get a 200 discount we agreed then after 45 painfull min they figured that wouldnt work. well it went back and forth for hours and we almost left finally we worked it all out.or so we thought five deliveries later and countless returned items for damage we still after 2 weeks dont have all of our stuff we have been mistreated by delivery people and store managers. we have legs to sofa's coming in the mail we have bolts that were holdinding legs on that they stripped before our ees coming in the mail. we still dont havee a chair that was promissed a week ago .i had to goto the store and pick up a barstool so i could get an undamaged oneafter 3 delivery attempts. even that was tought 7 out of the eight in the store were damaged. i took # 8 home in my car. the day office mgr was horrified by the turn of events and gave me the vp's phone # and urged me to call i left ms christine ball 5 messages she doesnt return calls so here iam dont buy from kanes you will regret it they will over promise and under deliver there delivery people play beat the clock and damage your stuff. "they suck"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!a nd in this day and age , in this economic climate who can afford to suck?????????????????????????

I ordered a love seat console from kanes waited 190 weeks for it to come in. I finally contacted Kanes in Ocala about the order and found out that my item had NEVER been ordered because it was discontinued by manufacturer. The manager said he told the salesperson to contact me 2 weeks prior to me contacting them. The salesperson said he thought the manager had contacted me. They both dropped the ball on this one. I called customer service at the store and got nowhere with the representative who answered the phone. So, I called the corporate office customer service and I got some service then! The Ocala store manager called me back right away apologizing for what had happened. The sales person called back (message left for me) that day as well. The called back the next day to apologize for what happened. I let him know I did not buy from the manager I bought from him and I was NOT happy. Corporate office said there was NO excuse for what the Ocala store did and i would receive a refund of what I had paid and a refund for a restocking fee for a return item --when I purchased a replacement item same price that same day of the return! I am done with Kanes, I have closed my credit card account with them, and don't plan to shop at any of their stores again! Refunds: the credit to my Kanes CC was posted the very next day (8/18), however I had to call Kanes (9/6)to find out where the over $400.00 refund to my checkcard was. They claimed that after checking they had keyed in the card number incorrectly and the credit will show to my account in 3-5 business days. I don't think that was ever a credit done and had I not checked I would not have known! Kanes
has lost a customer for sure. I have bought many items from Kanes before and never any problems. Now this, never again will I shop in a Kanes store. very dissatisfied!

| I have never done business with a company that has such poor overall customer service. Especially in this day and age when money is so tight!! I feel for the delivery people. They did their best to make us happy. The truck came as scheduled. They pulled up in front of our house and started putting the furniture together. In the street!!! What is professional about that. I have been waiting over 2 months for this order to be completed. But I guess it should take that long since, as our salesman said, "it must be on a slow boat from China". Had I read this website first I would not have done business with them. And you dont even want to know what my husband has to say about Kanes!! Who ever runs this company needs to take a long hard look. I'm surprised they can stay in business!! I would not recommend Kanes to my worst enemy (or maybe I would). |

I'm very dissatisfied with my experience with Kane's. We ordered our furniture at the beginning of June. We were told then that the bed frame/drawers would not come in until the middle of July. We agreed to that because we had to go get a new mattress anyways, so that would give us time to shop for that. We were called in the middle of July to say that the delivery was being pushed back to the first week of August. I called today and was told that, no, it was not even going to come in until at least the middle of August, possibly later. We've been sleeping on the floor for three weeks now waiting for the bed frame to come in. Now it looks like we'll be sleeping on the floor for another two to four weeks. The person I spoke to was completely unhelpful, said there was nothing we could do, and that it was the vendor's fault. No help, no answers, had to drag out of her the fact that she really had no idea when the furniture is coming in. She was completely unsympathetic, couldn't care less that we're sleeping on the floor. I've looked online and found MANY reviews that say the same thing regarding delayed deliveries. This is really no way to treat customers. My husband and I saved for this furniture for a long time, and we still don't have it. Called your corporate office and was transferred to a voice mail. Really feel like everyone I talk to is trying to pass the blame to someone else. |

We recently bought two rocker recliner chairs from the Kanes on Rt. 98,in Lakeland Florida. When they were delivered, the men were very courteous and handled the cahirs with great care. I thought you would like to know that. The delivery was today, and I am sorry i do not know the names of the gentlemen who brought our chairs.
i will also compliment our saleslady, Jessica B. who was very helpful to us in making our purchase.

| i have tried to resolve my problem with kanes they have abad advertisement kanes for life that's a untru statement. I just purchased furniture not even a month ago. the furniture is to exspensive to have anything wrong the pillows are shredding i have been told after speaking today 6/27/11 that the pillows are made to shred and is not for the purpose of the furniture but, for jsut decorations. '' kind of bull s--- is this you spend this kind of money for decorated pillows if this is the case then i would have purchased quality furniture from haverty's these people just lie to get your money telling you any thing as if you have any problem we will fix it. i can't seem to speak with management always seems busy and when calling back you get this oh''' the manager is not in and will not be in until later or try tommorow. kanes sucks and i will never buy anything in life from them again i should have known better this time after i bought aprx $10,000. dollars worth of furniture for my mom in 2008 i will be contacting the better buisness burea and consumer services. |

| I purchased my bedroom set in 2010 at orange blossom trail location, after few weeks i call them back for discomfort, i was getting back pain every morning,so they told me give more weeks to adjustment, then finally technician showed up, took pictures and measurement etc. I waited for managers to call me back as the technician larson said, no one call for two weeks, when i call them back they told me they going to send tech again,cause of family emergency i had to leave the country for six months, i came back i call them back and same tech showed up and he totally denied for previous visit, he took the measurement again and left, this time there excuse was spot on the matteres, so i call the padding company they did their jjob,so i call kanes again now they told me they cant do anything,personally i would recommend any one to buy any furniture from them, i spend about 1700 dollars untill now i'm sleeping on floor. |

| I purchased $2,400 worth of living room furniture from Savon in Port Charlotte, Fl on 5/22/11, they delivered it 6/1/11 which was fine, except the two end tables and sofa table came without glass, and the ottoman was covered in the wrong fabric. Went to store after delivery guys left and found out the glass 'wasn't ordered' for the tables, which is rediculous, and they would order the correct ottoman cushion and let me know when it would be in (never got a return call on that). In the salesman's defense, you would think the tables would automatically come with the glass tops, as who would order tables without glass? So, the salesman ordered the glass and promised it the following Tuesday. Savon called tuesday morning to inform me the glass had arrived, great, so asked what time it was being delivered. Their response was "oh, it won't be delivered until thursday". I said "the salesman PROMISED he would deliver it today", again, their response was "sorry, it's his day off, so will get it thursday". I told them it was promised to me that day and it was their problem and they better figure it out and she was not happy with me. Tough, I gave them my money in good standing, they in return gave me a hard time. Well, the salesman came in, on his day off, and brought me the glass at 7:15 that evening, which I appreciated. I live 10 minutes from the store, but they called him in on his day off, not nice, someone else could have brought it. I asked him about my ottoman cushion, said he would get back to me, nope, no phone call, email or nothing. Called this morning, 6/14/11, and was told it would be another month to get my cushion, good grief. Needless to say they got an earfull. Claim it's the manufacturers fault and they have no control, bull, it's called 'passing the buck'. I'm not done with them, the manager will get a visit from me for sure. To make a long story short, I will NEVER buy another piece of anything from Savon in Port Charlotte. Their motto is: "Take the customers money then ignore them, they'll go away". Sorry, not going to happen. |

| I purchased furniture from kanes in nov 2010..for delivery in march 2011..furniture worth 6000 dollars and more. It also included a mattress worth 1200..unfortunately the mattress we got wasn't working well with us and we went ahead and got a reselection..with the reselection the new mattress costed more than 1200 so we decided that we will finance the difference..now kanes is sending me a statement that i financed the whole thing..they have ommitted the diff which was already paid for..and as i am calling them for the past week to get things resolved..they are not calling me back..giving excuses that oh corporate hasn't replied yet..and when i keep calling the lady i spoke to is saying i should pay what the statement says and if there is any refund i will get it..its ridiculous why should i pay a bigger amount which i didn't even finance..just to avoid penalty and to maintain my credit score..for a mistake they made..she also threaten to hang up on me..if i don't listen to what she says and when i told her that i will call corporate..she said she doesn't care..now i am surely going to take the matter further. |

I wish I could Rate a Negative Star.
On February 15, 2011 I came into the Clearwater Kane's Furniture store, I was promptly greeted by a sales agent Mary Pantalone & my husband & I told her what we were looking for. We were not in there for a very long time. We picked what we liked & purchased it. When we were checking out Mary Pantalone had to put my information in the computer 4 to 5 times before it actually went through. Meanwhile my husband & I were debating on getting the fabric protection put on the furniture. We told her that we have a houseful of children & animals & it seems a waste of money, she insisted it was a great investment & that she too has animals that have accidents on the furniture & that it's all covered & that not to worry they would have to replace the whole piece of furniture since it can not be taken apart. So we decided to spend the $190 more & get the fabric protection on all 3 pieces of furniture we purchased. My total in the store was $2,229.28 paid that day (NOT CREDIT).
The delivery on the 18th went very smoothly & the delivery men were very nice.
Now ever since we got the furniture my husband thought there was something wrong with the fabric protection. Every time my children spilled a little something on it, it seeped into the furniture. I told him no & that it was probably a different kind of protection & not like the scotchguard were it repels & bubbles up the liquid. On accident one day we spilled a cup full of water on our sofa & it just seeped right through, I thought nothing of it because it was water.
Then fast forward to a few days ago. May 3rd 2011, my cat was startled & tinkled on our couch. I promptly cleaned it up & put stain remover on it (again everything seeped through). After trying tirelessly trying to get this stain up we could not. On May 7th, 2011 I called the store where I bought the furniture, I gave the woman my phone number & she looked up my account. I told her the same above story. She was very quick to tell me that the fabric protection does not cover animal stains. I thought that odd & told her that the sales woman Mary Pantalone told me she had animals & it was covered & that's what sold me on the protection. I also had a problem with my recliner creaking very loudly, she told me that she would send out a technician on the 18th of May.I asked her if there was a way the technician could tell if the fabric protection was on the furniture. She told me no, because it was purchased months ago & that if there was a problem we should have said something sooner. I hung up feeling very disheartened by the companies sales tactics. The customer service woman called me back a few minutes later (whom never told me her name) & proceeded to call me a liar & told me that Mary Pantalone remembered me & she remembers telling me it covered cat fur & that was it. Now, not only to call a customer a liar, but to call them back just to tell them that is reprehensible. Because, as you & I both know, to get a stain some kind of liquid has to be present & that is what the fabric protection is for. Fur can easily be cleaned up with a vacuum cleaner & has never left a stain on anything in my life.
We found on only one piece of furniture a sticker that say's "treated by" but the sticker is blank, so that shows me that it was never treated
So, now I believe that I was fraudulently duped by not only the sales lady Mary Pantalone but the company all together. She lied not only once but twice to me, just so I would purchase the product. Then the product did not even have the fabric protection put on it, so in essence they stole $190 from me.
Tuesday May 10th I received a call from the Corporate Customer Service rep Christine Ball & I thought they were trying to resolve the problem, but I received a letter from the CEO Irwin Novack saying there is nothing they can do.
They have scammed a hard working American & their customer service does not serve the customer. Only lines their pockets. I will not rest until I get a refund or a replacement.

| My daughter went to the Kane's Ocala office (3/13/11) & paid in full for a 3 piece living room set. She was told that her order would be in at the end of March. Well she got a call from a saleperson that the order would be in at the beginning of April. She got another call and said that the furniture would be in on the 15th of April (as there was a total of 7 orders for the same furniture). On April 11th, she got another call asking if she would be willing to wait for the chair and ottman (as several sets has came in but one set still did not have the ottman & chair). I called the Ocala store and spoke to the General Manager "Bud" whom I explained the situation to, stated "well if your daughter wants her money back we will refund it. Just have her to call me". Well when she called "Bud"-he told her that he don't know why she was told that the furniture will be delivered when their system shows the furniture won't be in til May. On April 12th (today) I called the Corp office and spoke with Christine (Customer Service) and somewhat apologize for the confusion on the mix up however she stated that my daughter can have her money refuned. When my daughter called her today, Christine told her that they can give her a refund of the delivery fee ($100) if she still wanted the furniture. I am going to write the CEO-but from what I am reading may do little good. I am also writing BBB on this. Kane's is not in the business for it's customers! But I will be spreading the word so that others don't have this problem! |

| I paid for entertainment set and breahfast stools and for delivary in te month of Dec2010.I called them for delivary on two occasions and was told that everything is there in the warehouse and to call in just before ten days. | We purchased a new Serta King Size Mattress...under a warranty claim on an older mattress paid an additional $540. We thought that the mattress did not feel as firm as the one in the showroom however, we tried to adjust and missed the 60 days Bedding Comfort Guarantee as it runs from 60 days from date of purchase - not delivery. We had them come out to expect every three months, just having their third attempt on the 4-5" dip on one side, about 3" on the other side. Having the pillowtop on the mattress it does not allow the defect within the springs to show. After chiropratic visits and a script for a new bed, in addition to sleepless nights, we had had enought. We donated the 'NEW' mattress to a local thrift store on 3/9/11, which was delivered on 3/17/10. NOT EVEN A YEAR OLD!!! We went to a MATTRESS STORE and bought a new mattress that they showed how it was contructed layer by layer. Kanes Mattresses do not have anything in the store to show their construction layer by layer and we feel that what they have on the floor may not be made the same as the one you receive. WE RECOMMEND BY A MATTRESS FROM A MATTRESS STORE, NOT KANES!!! Their inspection for a warranty issue is to take a string weighted on both ends, laid across the bed and measure the space from the upper fabric portion of the mattress to the spring, which must be 1 1/2 inches to be considered a defect. They do not take any consideration in the inter structure issues as the memory foam and other padding is the only thing they are measuring. AVOID KANES. |

| Three years ago I purchased a complete 2 bedroom condo full of furniture from kanes. This fall the laminate chipped off the dresser, I called Kanes and explained what happened and ask if I could get help getting someone to repair the dresser, I was more than willing to pay that person or Kane's. I was told they would not help me. I will never purchase furniture from Kane's again. Poor quality and no customer support. |

| My daughter (a single Mom) took her income tax to buy a sofa. The took the money twice out of her debit card. They claim as soon as the transaction clear they will credit her back the transaction. Her bank said and called them in Ocala where this took place and told them it all cleared in 1 min. It has been 8 days no money. My husband is calling the marion county sheriff office today, we think someone is stealing from the debit cards at this store. We have talked to the manager 3 times this week with alot of run around. He claims there bank is working on it. Our banks said it is all electronic..Should of came back into her account as soon as they made the error and was called on it. |

| I think the person that Keith Churchill dealt with in Lakeland must have resigned by the time we had a problem because the sofa we purchased was very uncomfortable we pulled it out to look at it more closely and there was foam and broken wood chips under it. Naturally I cleaned it up. We called and a service man came out and took pictures, but there was nothing to see because I had cleaned it up. They said they would contact us in a week. We have never had a call. We have called them but they always say someone else will contact us. That never happened. We are very unhappy and I see we are not the only ones who will never go back to Kanes again. I don't see how they can keep getting away with these shoddy business practices. I agree with the woman who says go someplace reputable and get better quality. I guess we are stuck with our crumbling furniture that we have only had for one year! |

| Bought a new couch 15 months ago and the material has unraveled on the cushions and has come unstitched on one of the cushions. They will not stand behind their product as was told to me by their assocoaites at the store I purchased it from. The store was the Ocala store in Florida. | I have purchased all my furniture for my Fl. home from Savon in Port Charlotte, the experience has always been a pleasant one. The sales person Althea is just a pleasure to have to assist you with your purchase. I ran into a small problem with a mattress defect, which Savons tech came out to view and the store was to replace it, then a small problem arouse, so I spoke to an assistant manager? to no avail (not a person with the friendliest personality) and was referred to Mark the manager, which is a very polite person to go to for assistance with your problem but it was beyond his control and could not help with it. I contacted corporate and had the pleasure of speaking with Amy on the switchboard who knew exactly the person to whom would be able to help me and she turned me over to Christine the unfortunate women to hear my complaint, within minutes she had me feeling extremely relaxed with the situation, rectified the problem in a polite,courteous manner and has made me a reoccurring patron of Kanes/Savon Furniture. HATS OFF TO CORPORATE for their professionalism and good business sense. |

We just purchased a piece of furniture and were told that if Kanes deliver, we would have it for Saturday 11/20/10 but if we chose to pick up, we will have it for December although they have it in stock.
We had purchased several pieces of furniture from Kanes but this was the worst customer service we had ever received. They claimed that if we are willing to pay the $99.00 delivery fee for the single piece of furniture we will have it for Saturday 11/20/10. After pushing for a discount on the delivery fee, the manager, Tres offered to remove the gift card that was provided by KANES. Perfect bate and switch, they offered their customer a gift card and then want to charge for a delivery that will be twice as much.
Remember, they can deliver at the end of the week but if you choose to pickup, it will be December. They are trying to stretch the pickup date so they can monopolize on the delivery fees.
Come on Kanes, treat your customers with respect.

We have purchased and PAID for over $5000.00 of furniture (bedroom, living room, dinning room, all of which were on the show room floor) for a condo we have scheduled to rent in the next week. Kane,s scheduled partial delivery for Oct 29 and the remaining items on Nov 12. On the evening of the 28th we were notified most of the scheduled items would not come till the 12th. We called on the 10th to verify delivery for the 12th. The sales person was not in, the manager was "not in" neither called us back. However a staff person did let us know the majority of the items were not on the delivery schedule. Called again on Thursday morning the 11th spoke to our sales person (Donna)who didn't have a clue but would talk to the manager and call us back. NEVER received the CALL BACK and still no word as to way or when the paid for merchandise will be delivered.
To top it off while this was going on we made another 60 mile round trip to the store to purchase a headboard to match the one we purchased last year from them (yes, we are repeat customers). They had one on the floor as a as is discounted floor model. We bought it, PAID for it, and agreed to come back in an hour and pick it up. Fifteen minutes later we received a call from the "customer service" rep letting us know the unit was previously sold and we could buy a new one at full price. After some discussion and some time they agreed to deliver a new one at the as is discount price. I suggested he put it on the truck with the merchandise scheduled for the 12th. He said ok and would let me know. NO CALL BACK.Very nice of them although I still do not have the headboard but when we asked about it they let us know it was at the store (evidently they think I should come and pick it up?)
Called the manager this AM,__the 12th__, he's going to check on our order, isn't that reasuring? Think there is a pattern developing here? After reading these postings I think so. Can only hope the manager does his job, but I have my doubts. Proceed at your own risk of great frustration! |

Christine Ball just sent me another email apoligizing for the "inappropriate email" she sent me earlier today. She "hopes that her actions will not prevent me from considering Kane's for my home furnishing needs".
Well the apology is nice but I am sure that I would not have received one if I had not posted it on the Kane's Facebook page and on this corporate page. I have yet to receive and apology from the Ocala store manager for his actions that caused the complaint.

| I bought a dining room table for an outrageous price on 1 Oct. We scheduled a delivery for the 4th. After waiting all day for the item to arrive I decided to call the office. I was told that the chairs were on back order and would arrive on the 22nd Oct. Today, the 22nd I called again and am being told that the chairs would be arriving on the 27th. I paid for this purchase by credit card and have already received the bill. After speaking with a manager, he apoligized and offered to waive the $100.00 delivery fee--what a crock. I have contacted the corporate office and have been waiting for a call back for sometime, I'm afraid the call will never come. My next step is to contact the BBB before I contact Kanes and cancel the purchase. I guess that Rooms To Go or American Signature will be my next option. I've never seen disregard like this for customers, especially during these times of economic unrest. |

That sold me on the items, come to find out after delivery he had lied to me and now they offer to take it back for a 20% restock fee which is crazy. | I purchased several item on the day I was at the Altamonte location. Upon dilvery the bedroom dresser mirrow was scratched and in not new condition. The bed rail was manufactured incorrectly and unable to support the mattress and box springs or therefore unable to sleep on now for 3 weeks. The support rails installed correctly. After complaining Kanes sent a technician to come and evaluate the damage. The technician wanted to repair my new mirrow which I was aganist. I did not purchase used furniture or furniture of less than new condition. The delivery person should have noticed the damage but chose to leave. Pictures of the damage where taken and scheduled for replacement. Since Kanes will not work with their customers and cause inconvienence by wanting to re-deliver on a work day again I pressed for a Saturday delivery. The Saturday delivery was scheduled for 5/1/2010. Well that came and went and no delivery.Calling the location I purchased the furniture from I spoke with a person stating he was the Manager which was of no help but very slick in his side of the story. I am scheduled for delivery now on Saturday May 8, 2010. I would not recommend this company to anyone nor will I ever be able to enjoy my purchase as I should have. |

| We purchased a bed set from Savon (Sarasota). My wife and I work and are not home after noon. The service department will not make any concession for this and try to deliver a product paid for in early March (7 weeks ago). Their attitude is that it is the customer who must accommodate them, not that the business should try to make their repeat customers happy. I am now speaking with company headquarters, and the same general attitude seems to be there also, although I have been told "they will see what they can do" by Christine Ball (one of the higher ups I am told). I have never been treated so rudely by the manage of a local business (Cheryl). My wife and I will never set foot in a Kanes or Savon again. Based on a complaint on this web site 5/1 from a customer in Altamonte, it would seem that this is a widespread problem in this company. Hopefully someone who cares about the company will look into this and try to improve things before the company goes bankrupt. |

Over the past few years I purchased many items from Kanes Furniture. Just last November I purchased a new bedroom set around $1,200. About three years ago I purchased a curio and a china hutch and a recliner and a few othe items, totaling 2 or 3 thousand dollars. Just check your history. I think you can see we are a good customer of Kanes. Now back in May of '08 I purchased a bed and mattress totaling another $1,636.01. The mattress was $849.99 before tax and had a 20 year warrenty. At this time do you THINK I should be looking for a new mattress. I have now been rotating it every two weeks because of the wholes in it. I SLEEP in a whole on either side of the bed. I telephoned the Brandon store and they set up an appointment to have someone come out. They did. They came out at 3pm said they do that on purpose so the mattress rises. Of course with the wates and string it did not meet the exact inch it was suppose to. They also said there is a stain on the bed. Come see for your self there is no stain. I am not looking to a full cost replacement but some help in replacing this mattress, its not even 2yrs old. The person that came I suggested that he lay in the bed he would be able to feel the wholes he didn't, and you can SEE the wholes when looking at the bed. My back can not handle much more and I'm getting little sleep. At this time I am not happy with Kanes and in the future will not purchase anything else.

| After purchasing a life time cleaning warranty, we used the option several years ago because of a stain, 2006 or 07 I believe and had another stain after, which we were told that they will not honor the warrant after that. Their excuse is because they are compound stains and they did more than enough for us. I say, honor your life time warranty or change the name to warranty as we feel like making it. I have no interest in returning to Kanes ever again and I will discourage all future business with anyone I see. I will call it ... Kanes as I feel like making it. Ashley or any other store is better. EVen after discussing it with the general manager, he informed me it was a moot point and that it makes no difference what I say. So much for customer service. |

I would like to send a Thank you to the employees in sales and the office personal at the Lakeland Fl. 98 north store. We had to swap out a mattress and box spring and we don't think we have ever been treated so nicely from anyone that we have purchased something from.
The salesman and office lady took care of everything and made sure we got a delivery as soon as possible and there was not worry on our part.
Thanks you Kanes for having such a beautiful and helpful store here in Lakeland, Florida with such nice employees.

The quality of Kanes furniture is poor. I will never purchase from Kanes again. Who wants to waist money considering the current state of the economy. Furniture I purchased from Kanes was either replaced or in the process of being replaced. I now purchas from other companies. Although I spend more, the quality is worth it due to the durability. Spend more upfront but save over time.
