Flagstaff KOA is a wonderful campground. Beautiful flowers and landscaping. Very well maintained. Hiking trails right out the back of the campground. KOA staffer by the name of Wayne lent us his hiking map which was a great help as we were not familiar with the area. Bathrooms were spotless and breakfast at the outside kitchen area was delicious. We will definitely return.

weikivia springs rv resort was a nice campground until k.o.a. took over, now you get mowing ne xt to your site at 7am, campers allowed 6-7 dogs on a site unleashed, complaints to staff ignored, dogs roaming to other sites and approaching people walking their own dogs on leashes, total lack of concern or safty to other dog owners, i have been to this campground for the last time,, printed rules should be followed, it was clear, they were not concerned if the unleashed dogs were bothering other campers or not. shame on k.o.a. to be this careless.

Unfortunately I read all comments on the Yosemite West /Mariposa Koa after the bad experience we had. I recommend people not to stay there. We were there mid-August in a cabin, for 2 days. On the day of our departure, we gave back the keys for the check out, asking if we could stay approx. 20 minutes more to use the wifi & the answer was yes. The cabin had been left emptied & clean. My daughter was right after this beaten by a bee & as she has allergies (her hand raised double after this for nearly a week) we had to cure her as quick and as much as possible & because of this the car stayed close to the cabin. The man in charge of the cleaning came & began yelling at us, saying we had nothing to do there & were to left strait away -remember the cabin was empty & clean-, kept on yelling & said he was to call the police & we said he could very well do this. He called, certainly not the police, when we were already in the car & I guess he called his office as coming back from vacations we found out we had been charged for late check out, & having called the koa mariposa office the woman said there was a note mentioning we left at 1.30 pm which is a lie -it was before noon- & hanged down. You may wish to note this is the 1st time in my life I am putting a note on a campground or hotel on sites & that all other experiences I had with Koa were great one. Needless to say, during the entire stay we found out all persons in this Koa to be rude & disagreeable. So if you are looking for a bad experience...

Don't go to the KOA in Meridian, Id. There is a sex offender working for them mowing the lawns and free to go where he wants, AND one just moved in for 30 days and placed him I KID YOU NOT, RIGHT NEXT TO THE WOMENS BATHROOM/SHOWER ROOM. I WILL NEVER EVER STAY AT A KOA AND WILL TELL PEOPLE NOT TO GO TO THEM THAT THEY CATER TO SEX OFFENDERS...

We just wanted to give a huge thanks to the friendly staff at the Fort Collins Lakeside KOA. We recently stayed with you during the month of August. We had only anticipated on staying two weeks when our vehicle broke down and we had no other choice but staying an additional week. Not only is your staff extremely helpful your park is exceptionally clean and very well manicured. Everyone was amazing! We were truly blessed to have met two of your couples that work at your camp Mr. Mike and Marilyn LaFrenz and Mr. Bill and Tracy Cheek. these two couples went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. Not only did they do a fine job at maintaining your park, they out did them selves on making sure our extended stay was a pleasing experience. Mr. LaFrenz even made it a point to contact us once we returned to California to make sure we had a safe journey. It truly was a blessing staying in such a warm and inviting atmosphere and we look forward to many return stays at your park.

All of our experiences at KOAS' prior to our stay at the Salt Lake City site have been great. Clean, well kept and excellent customer service is what we have come to expect. That expectation hit the reality wall on Aug. 15 when we were given a site that hadn't been cleaned (raked) all summer as evidenced by the snack food bag half buried in the dead leaves and the used q-tip, bottle caps, cigarette butts that were imbedded in the grass. The picnic table was at least as old as the Civil War and looked like it would ruin my clothes to sit on it. When I asked that our site be cleaned and the table replaced we heard Nicole at the front desk tell two different people (one with a mobile phone and the other face to face) to do what I asked. Imagine my surprise when returning after a day of touring around the city to find it just as we had left it, trash, butts, etc. and the same table. The men's shower had a broken fawcett and campers should have a paved path to the shower room. What a contrast to find a poorly managed, unclean KOA in such a beautiful city where such pride and effort is taken to showcase the best of Utah.

The KOA in Waterloo Iowa is not worth staying at. no bath house, no level sites, so landscaping. Yet it is advertised as being open in July of 2011. Will absolutely not stay again or recommend to anyone else. John Nelson, Chesapeake VA johnenelson1@verizon.net

We made a reservation online and called within the hour to cancel due to an emergancy and they would not refund the money, i can see charging like a ten dollar fee but the whole amount, what a bunch of crap we have used them for years but due to this we will never use them again hope the money was worth losing a valued customer.....

Will never use them again they stole money from me what a bunch of thieves!

Recently my wife and I took our very young family to las vegas and stayed at the KOA. Big mistake... For some unknown reason the mgr their cant seem to keep some of the workers from constantly useing foul language in front of children. And I mean FOUL. Even when asked to stop , "John with the METH mouth would not stop saying F this and F that. Come to find out he does meth and heroin both. So needless to say my family will not return there. Now mind you I recieved this info. first hand by mistake as John was talking loud is the rest room where I was drying off from my shower. I recognised his voice as of course he was cusing up a blue streak again. Take it from me IT WAS NOT GOOD

Flagstaff, AZ KOA Our stay (7/18 ~ 7/20/12) was splendid, as usual. We had yummy made-to-order breakfasts at the Kamp Kitchen (operated by Sue & Tony). This visit was in the Teepee Kabin; which was just right...except for the skunk that somehow left a little aroma outside one night. We have enjoyed this KOA many times (mostly tent sites); the staff are always accommodating and courteous. THANKS KOA!!!

John and Carolyn We stayed 14 nights at KOA Flagstaff, $500+, Experience TERRIBLE. No request honored. Heads were 3" below our feet after levelers. Site so narrow and unlevel, picnic table unusable. Close to laundry, showers, play area. EXACT OPPOSITE OF REQUEST. Reservation staff too lazy to accommodate our request. Reservations made in June 8, 2012, 5 weeks or so before stay. Would take effort. Never again! 0 out of 10

We have camped at KOA for 3 yrs know and have never had a bad experience until now. We stayed at the KOA in Ringold Ga which is south of Chattanooga. The staff and owners/managers are so rude and disrespectful. It is NOT a kid friendly or adult friendly place. The staff is constantly riding the golf carts watching ever move each camper makes. It is very creepy. The staff is not suppose to talk to the campers unless they are telling them what they are doing wrong. We have traveled to see friends and if they want to visit our camp site it is $5 per person and $20 per vehicle. Pool closes at 8:00pm and sometimes earlier.I do not think they know it is summer and summer is a time for fun. We are just a family that loves to camp. This KOA is like a prison. So campers keep driving pass exit 350 in GA. Dont waste your money.

Stayed at the Pomona, CA KOA. The campsites are crammed in. The first site they put us in, the 5th wheel took up the entire site with no where to park the truck. We scratched the RV trying to get out of the site because the curves are so tight. They put us in another site and we were able to get in, but when the slides were out, you could hardly walk between the RVs. When leaving, we turned wide to miss the 'white picket fence and 3 new trees' they put on an already tight curve. In doing so, it caused the rear end of our 5th wheel to hit the corner of a parked 5th wheel. Now we have some slight damage to our new 5th wheel and damage to the parked 5th wheel. Some of the other people we talked with said this was not the first time this has happened. Apparently, it is common for people to hit others while trying to get out of this place. They should not be making reservations for big rigs with there current spacing. Needless to say, we will not be staying here again.

We have been at the Wildwood Lakes in Homerville Ohio ( Now Homerville KOA) for over 8 years as seasonal campers. The current manager of the park very inflexible, won't allow the children to have squirt guns, water balloons. No fun for the kids. Despite my pleading with him to review some of the rules he said no. I wrote a rather scathing email, copied all campers. He promptly kicked me out! He has no flexibility and makes it clear he runs the park! We have since moved and are enjoying our new park where the owner is open to ideas and flexible. I won't reccomend Homerville KOA to anyone.

I have been staying at the KOA campground in bar nunn, Wyoming for the past two weeks and I have had absolutely no problems. Everything is set up great and owners and workers are very friendly all of the facilities are in great shape and are very clean. Once again I have zero problems until today around 6:00pm on July 15th. My uncle came over to visit for no more than five minutes and me and my fiancé were leaving to go to do our laundry so I simply backed up and went towards the laundry and I watched my uncle back up also in the exact same direction and left the same way I did but he left the campground and me and my fiancé went to the laundry. We end up gathering our clothes up and going to back our camper and go in and fold and put away the clothes. We decided to go outside to leave and go to the store to get ice cream and i notice there is a water spicket completely out of the ground and the water is literally spewing out of the ground so I go right to the office and let the owners know what is happening so I drive back to my camper once again and park by the spicket which is located within 10 yards of our camper to wait on the owner to get down there so I could show him where the leak was coming from and as soon as he got down there I get out of the car to talk to him and he instantly starts yelling and arguing with me saying it is my fault since i had a guest and suposedly my guest ran over it when i simply seen him back up and leave in the dorection that i left, he did not pull forward like the old man owner assumed. He said there tire tracks leading right to the spicket which there were tracks but there were over three feet away from the spicket and like i said i watched my uncle pull out in the direction as i did. But the owner was determined to kick me out for something that was never my fault in the first place. I'm guessing I'm the closest to the spicket. He continues yelling and he tells me I have 30 minutes to "pack my shit, and get the hell out of here" so I simply that this isn't even my fault and your going to kick me out for it when I'm the one that had the respect to go let them know what was going on. And the old lady owner also kept telling me it was my fault yelling and arguing with me also and I told her I would dig the hole to the spicket and replace the $15 piece of pipe that somehow broke. And the only thing she was concerned about was the water on the ground quote on quote. And also said I broke the rules and I needed to leave also. Which my understanding is how in the hell was any of this even close to being my fault? And why should I get disrespected in such a way as I did by both of the owners? "husband and wife" so I'm complaining to fullest extent because this is absolute bullshit. And whether they pursue to kick me out or not this is still something that they drug way out of proportion and pointed fingers at me. I don't think just because their "owners" they can yell and disrespect someone that has been staying here over two weeks, let alone any of there customers. I'm 20 years old and I do not appreciate the way they disrespected me and the use of words they used to, in my face. It's bullshit!

I am posting this in the hope someone will care and no one else will experience this type of treatment. I stayed at the Bozeman KOA in Montana just this week with my grandchildren and spouse. When we checked in we were told the shower hot water wasn't working only cold showers and it would be fixed very soon. Then the kids got into the pool and out in 5 min. It was hotter than the hot tub over 100F in 92 degree weather. I paid for 2 family guests. None of them could stay in for more than 5 min. The KOA employee waited until sunset to add cold water after many complaints. The next morning showers were beyond cold & grandchildren refused to shower off from pool. I went in the pool with my mask & snorkel due to neck problems with swimming and the bottom edges were covered with green and brown algea, dead bugs all over the bottom and what looked like human feces in the shallow children's area. The 2 grandchildren that refused to shower got sick with abdominal pain and nausea and one with ear ache after swimming. I banned them from the pool. We were on a time schedule so had to leave to meet family and I did not get back until later in day to talk to KOA office about it. When I did go back, to ask for $ back to check out 2 days early in order to get a motel, I was treated very rudely. 3 KOA men that eve told me "the pool was clean and I knew about the showers when I checked in and that I was the only person complaining". I felt attacked and my niece spoke up for my defense and told them I was a nurse and could identify human feces and to put on a mask and look if they dared. Then they told me nothing could be done until morning to talk with Susan about the refund and checking out. I had taken the children to Bozeman Hot Springs to swim because of the pool and went to visit family. When I returned around 11:30 pm we were hurrying to get to bed to get up early for a trail ride. The night manager told my husband and me we "could leave now and he did not appreciate me jumping his employees". When I tried to answer, he interupted me saying "just because I was a nurse did not make me a pool expert". I had not told him I was a nurse or explained my side of the story. Apparently his employees had spoken to him about the earlier visit to the office. I told him I was not pulling my grandchildren out of their beds and packing at midnight to go search for a hotel room when I had asked earlier for a refund to get a hotel and told to wait till morning with Susan. He was very rude to me. The next morning I went to the office and found Susan the day manager. I stood at the desk waiting for a response as she looked at her computer typing without acknowledging me. Finally I said I was checking out of cabin 8 and wanted a 2 day refund and 2 day discount due to the showers and pool issues. She looked down for a time then slammed a receipt for 2 days on the counter yelling at me "you are not getting a penny more"! When I tried to explain my concerns she cut me off, said I "could complain to the Pope and it wouldn't matter" pointed her finger at me and yelled "you are black listed from KOA and can never stay again"! I am appalled at the treatment I received and the way I was spoken to. I will never stay at a KOA or recommend them to anyone. Incidentally we stayed there 2 yrs before without any problems and had a good time when it was owned by Bozeman Hot Springs. I left crying. It ruined my vacation.

My husband and I have lived at the Pasco, Washington KOA for nearly a year now. It has been a happy place to live. The managers, Mike and Terri, work extremely hard at keeping this KOA a clean, fun and safe place to be. We just found out that KOA is cracking down on those of us who have freezers outside of our RV's. I am asking KOA Headquarters to reconsider this. I understand that KOA wants their parks to look as clean as possible. Could you please consider changing that rule from no freezers to limiting freezers to a certain cubic feet size? Do you know how HARD it is to live full-time in an RV with the little dinky freezers that come in an RV?? We could put a very small freezer, like a 3.5 or 5 cubic foot freezer in the back of our trailer completely out of sight? Please consider this. Some people are really upset and are talking about moving out. We are this KOA's life's blood during the long winter months when people don't camp. Please make it easier to live here by considering this rule. Thank you. David and Debbie Espinoza

The first review is hilarious! Read the fireworks complaint made on 6/1. That lady is old and crazy. If your dog is that expensive and retarded you should just shoot the damn dog. and it was all because the campground was celibrating the holiday with fireworks. I don't blame the camp managers for being rude. You are an idiot lady!!
