Worst Customer Service from Customer Service Hyundai Motor America I have ever experienced with any company ever !!!

WE have a genesis coup that we took in for repairs. The service department said they had no record of our extended warrenty, therefore we would have to pay for all repairs. We brought our extended warrenty papers in and the answer was we are not sure that this is ours when the papers clearly said that the warrenty was purchased from them. I have never had such rude people in customer service. I will never never have another car from Hyundai. I shall tell everyone I know not to buy a car from Hyundai.

I own a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe with 85000 mi.(bought new)The car had dealer Rust Proofing. The fuel tank has rusted through from the bottom. The dealer denies any responsibility. The shield used to protect the tank allows trapping of moisture and salt. This is a design error. Various failures during my ownership include, speedometer pickup & engine thermostat housing. Couple this with the 60000 mi. timing belt change requirement,at a $600 cost, will cause me to exclude Hyundai when selecting another car.

Bought a used car for my mother and had the worst experience ever. Crenshaw Hyundia of Burlington NC. Car had bad tires, no gas, and dirty! I assumed MR. Isiah Mcdonald the manager was going to fix the minor problems, not only did he not he was very unprofessional.. I have bought cars from Lexus, Ford, Nissan, Mitsibishi, and Honda and never treated this way!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a Hyundai Accent many years ago, no problems. Upgraded to a Sonata in 2008, loved it. I don't know what I was thinking but I traded it in (with only 30,000 miles) for a new 2013 Sonata. I am getting 16-18 miles/gallon. I was told by the dealership that it was the way I drive. Nothing but attitudes and doors closing in my face. I am also being told about the "breaking in period". After the car has been driven 5,000 miles, the miles per gallon will increase. I don't remember that being mentioned on their commercial that states "the most fuel efficient car in America". My Ass! The worst customer service and you couldn't get out of the lease unless you died. And when you are signing papers (yes I should have read them) BE CAREFUL! They don't tell you that you cannot change your mind. I woke up the next morning thinking I've made a mistake. They told me flat out - too bad. I have to suffer with this car (a lemon I am sure) for 3 years and with the price of gas...18 miles to a gallon, I should be driving a HUMMER! When this lease is up, I will stay far away from Paramus Hyundai in New Jersey and leasing another Hyundai altogether!

I bought one of the first 2011 Hyundai Sonata's and was very happy until now. There were a few thing's wrong like being on the freeway and feeling like I hit a block of wood that jerked me, that happened about four times since I have had the car, so when it stopped doing that I wasnt worried. I didnt realize that the warranty is up on the car in about 20,000 miles. I thought I still had a warranty they explained I only the power train or something like. that. When I took the car to have it serviced I needed the passenger door fixed and the service guy freaked out like I didnt know I needed to pay for these things that arnt covered anymore. The motor light was on and I found out that that doesnt cover the sensor's either. NO one ever suggested the extended warranty buy I am seeing that people arnt happy with the extended warranty, I dont know what to do to get out of this situation I am upside down and my salesman doesnt have the gutts to call me and give me some suggestions.

Let me start first with my engine light going off. I call the service center in South Shor Hyundai in Valley Stream, Long Island. They recommend a 45k mile service before telling me about the engine light diagnostic service (which I called for in the first place). This guy rambles and rambles about my warranty and how it will be out of warranty if I don't get the service that Hyundai recommends. This service is $500 plus tax....What a rip off?

I have a leased 2012 Hyundai Accent. Today was my 3rd trip to the dealership for a loss of power problem. Once again I was told that the diagnostic check shows no problems and was asked if I drive with one foot on the gas and one on the brake. HELL NO!! It is an automatic trans, not manual trans with a clutch. Even with a clutch I did not drive with one foot on brake and one on the gas. I also informed the manager when I called for the appointment and once again this morning that my gas mileage dropped from 35-38 mpg around town to 25-26 mpg and that on the interstate I am barely getting 30 mpg whereas it was 42-47 mpg. I still use the same gas and cruise control whenever possible. I know that most gasolines now have ethenol. Ethenol was in the gas when I leased this car in January and has been in the gasoline for several years. Now, according to the manager, when this car was made ethenol was not in the gas. I am writing a letter to Corporate with my complaint and I want out of the lease. I will never buy another Hyundai.

I have a 2012 Equus which is one of Hyundai elite vehicles. This vehicle is only suppose to be worked on by a certified Equus tech. Then how come at Antwerpen Hyundai in Catonsville they don't have a certified tech any more? How can a dealership sell a car without having the proper mechanics on duty? Do you self a favor stay away from them at all cost. The manager says that all of his techs are allowed to work on this car but he is a LIAR. Never will buy another Hyundai from there...

i would like to make a complaint about hyundai car dealerships they dont take care of the customer the way they should. i went in to my dealer in feb of this year having occured a check engine light my car started jerking and thats very scary when you on the highway my wife refuse to drive it.they changed the timing belt, some spark plugs, and they said something was living in the engine and they charged me 1100.00 for nothing they never fixed the problem.so ihad to go back again the next month cause the jerking had started again they didnt charge me anything this time hoping everything was fine but it wasnt fine i refuse to go back to hyundai again had to go to the competition to get the problem fixed my car is an 2007 elantra and i liked my car but the company dont care about its customers signed unsatisfied customer

I bought my 2004 Tiburon, with only thirteen miles on it, making me its one and only drive, eight years later, she only has 56,000 miles, have made every oil change, have made every service checkup, my car is pampered....I realize that there are things that happen as a matter of normal wear and tear, but the brain to my car is not communicating with my key fob, and when it does this, it locks the car completely, and sets the kill switch....this is now the forth time it has been brought in for this, and I have been told everything from, when I bought a new battery that I made it lose communication, to the second time they told me it was a bad key fob, to the third time they admitted that it was the brain, but they didn't want to replace it until it was absolutely necessary, because it costs 1200.00, and they don't want to do that until it doesn't communicate again, this time, it locked me out at work, costing me a day of pay, towing expense, and still told they weren't sure whether it was under my warrenty, which by the way is the 10yr/10,000 mile...I'm so sick of the lies and runaround....I will never buy another hyundia, and even though I absolutely love my car, the uselessness of the dealership repair dept, makes me feel so overwhelmingly miserable...by the way, the locking system can't be removed because its incorporated into the master works of the brain, and the dealership is the only ones who have the coding for the communication!

WOW!! I really dont believe this is happening. I have had multiple cars but this company is by far the worst company I have ever delt with. I want to know how the hell a engine blow on a 2011 hyundai sonata. My story is almost exactly like the ones I have seen in the reviews, this is really sad and hyundai is telling every body the same damn thing(ITS NOT THERE PROBLEM) well Im about to make this a really big deal.. They also try to say its pepboys fault because they changed the oil the same day and it blew hours later. Its not pepboys fault its HYUNDAI FAULT for selling those damn LEMONS,i had to take that car back to the dealer for repairs multiple times since i purchased it And the funny thing is they sold me a damn rental car thinking i wont find out,WHO THE HELL IN THERE RIGHT MIND WOULD BUY A RENTAL CAR? what a nasty company i would have never guessed. anyway they dont want to honor my 100,000.00 mile warrenty or my extended warrenty WOW what the hell am i paying for. I hope they dont think im going to keep paying 520 a month for something im not even driving. anyway my car is at headquaters now because of my complaining and if things dont go right its going to be WAR! I have alot more to say but im not because its so much but im going to leave off on this note: IF YOU DONT HAVE A HYUNDAI "PLEASE" DONT GET ONE IM NOT JUST SAYING THIS FOR MY HEALTH,I DIDNT HAVE SOMEONE TO TELL ME SO IM HERE TO TELL YOU PLEASE DO NOT BE ANOTHER VICTIM..AND I JUST WANT HYUNDAI ASSOCIATES TO REMEMBER WHAT GOES AROUND COMES BACK 12 TIMES HARDER SO EVERY ONE WITH A PROBLEM PLEASE BELIEVE "GOD" IS GOING TO FIX IT AND HE'S ALSO GOING TO FIX THEM!!!

I bought an elantra in december an it has had to be jumped three times. I've tooken it to 2 dealerships an they said they can't find anything wrong with it. I;m stuck in michigan trying to get back to San Antonio. When it dies again, i will get the died car towed to the dealership so they can't say nothing is wrong with it!!!!! This is so frustrating.

Watch out HYUNDAI is selling cars that engines blow and the Transmissions are going out just look at all the complaints and look up EDMUNDS.COMS and see all the serious problems with these sleds. heres my beef they try to wiggles out of all repairs and say the customer did . SCREW YOU HYUNDAI

BEWARE!!!! When closing the deal in the Finance Office. OK, I know you're suppose to read the fine print and the entire page they throw in your face to be signed but let's be honest, how many of us do that? We sit down, all excited about getting a brand new car and the good deal we got and you get home, after the excitement has ended and sit down with papers in hand and a cup of coffee, you look over your paperwork. What's this, $700 for Gap Insurance, $1979 for an extended warranty that NO ONE asked you if you wanted. I drove to the dealership the next day and talked to the sales manager and he assured me, no problem, we can take that off, just see Bill in Finance and he'll take care of it. OK, I'm happy until Bill tells me, "OH, you got that low interest rate by adding the coverage, if I take it off, the interest rate will go up 2 points." Payment will be the same if not more. OK, then I guess I have no choice but to keep it. Back to the computer and google (google is man's best friend, to find out anything and everything you ever wanted to know) Seems I'm not alone is this shady practice and the thing about the interest rate is BS..... Right there on the paper it says, this contract has nothing to do with you getting financed with our company. After reading more on the contract, I see that I can cancel this for a full refund within a certain number of days if not used. I plan on doing just that and they can send the check to the bank and have it applied to my loan and keep my payment the same, that's fine, I just don't want the warranty and the way it was sold to me was tricky and unprofessional. The Gap Insurance is going to be cancelled as well.....

MY DAUGHTER BOUGHT A HYUNDAI FROM THE MARYLAND AREA...THE WORST CAR AND PLACE YOU EVER WOULD WANT. HER EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE. SHE HAS CONTACTED THEM NUMEROUS TIMES ABOUT HER CAR AND EVEN CALLED THE HEAD CORPORATE OFFICE. THEY LIE TO MAKE THEMSELVES LOOK GOOD AND PROMISE YOU ALL THIS STUFF AND NOTHING HAS PREVAILED. I WOULD NEVER BUY NOR WOULD I RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE..BEWARE THEY ARE RIP OFF'S

purchased a 2005 Elantra new and within 1 week had brake issues that needed to be addressed, within the first three months had drivers door gasket replaced twice ( it ripped), it still ripped and i refused to return again for a four hours experience at the dealership. a few years later the AM on the radio failed , then the Mirror control failed and then the seal around the side window disappeared into the door, and now paint rippled near the side molding , finally yesterday i brought the car to the dealer as it needed an axle replacement and was told not under warranty (car has 62,000 Miles on it), what happened to the 10yr/100k warranty, well your boot ripped on the axle and you didnt replace it fast enough so you voided the warranty, what a load of crap, worst new car i ever purchased , will never go to another hyundai. its made out of poor quality materials, and their service department could give you an ulcer, uncaring ill-equipped to deal with the public, poor social skills.

I had bought a new 2011 Sonata in early 2010 to replace the 2008 V6 Sonata that was totalled. I have driven the car for 71,500 mile. last nigh as I pulled onto the road and got up to speed (60MPH) ALL the lights on the dash come on and the car turns off (still had steering and brakes) I pull to the side thinking it overheated because I had seen smoke coming from the hood. Opened the hood and a strong odor of electric burning hit me in the face I immediately told my friend to get out of the car (wasn't sure of fire starting) I checked the oil and looked around (everything was OK) I called Hyundai road side assistance (He also checked the fluids and it was OK) and he took the car to Jones Hyundai in Bel Air, MD. They called me this morning and the first ? was I see you haven't had your oil changed here in 1 1/2 yrs. I told him I go to Jiffy Lube every 7,000 miles and then he said the engine is siezed up because of no oil in it. I KNOW THERE WAS OIL, THIS IS FN CRAZY!! (I alao got shammed into the extended warranty) but it doesn't matter cause I have to buy another engine at $5,500.00 (you know! cause I got that kind of money stuffed in my pillow right) the aboved mentioned dealership sales was wonderful (this is the 3rd car I bought from them) but the service department is a bunch of BS LIARS that I NEVER TRUSTED FROM THE START!!!!! and because of that I will NEVER OWN A 4TH Hyundai!!!!!!! Can you give me a reach around before you screw me please?

I bought a 2012 hundai accent. The cars is not even a year old and had to replace the condenser. The condenser is just behind the grill. It is in a spot that is unprotected from any kind of debris or even a tiny stone.

I owned a 2009 Hyundai Sonata that has been riddled with major Transmission problems. Hyundai cant fix the problem because its engineered wrong in the first place. They tried to say no one else is having problems just look on EDMUNDS. COM Oh my GOd ! I was stunned at everyone having the same problem and even engines locking up. The problem is when you go to trade the car in for a HONDA or anything , they dont want it at all. The Banks are running from this as well. Pontius Pilot Banks wash thy hands clean. Transmissions are ejecting People out of the car at 20 mile per hour. slips from thrid to first with you getting shoved into the stearing column; Not to mention I was at ARLINTON CEMETERY in D.C. and the car started speeding up like the TOYOTAs did and almost hit a pillar as I had the brake to the floor. An Arlington Guard came out wiht his holster unsnapped and asked what I was doing? Can you imagine this crashing into Arlington walls what would happen and what they would think it was. OKAY you get the picture write or E mail your Congress member or the Department of Justice to get these People back to Korea or make it right. Hyundai doesnt honor their warranty . They are starting to fraud the US citizens. This car need to go back to the drawing board.
