Car Fire

I have three 2012 Elantra in my family. One of them with only 14, 0000 mile burst into flames in my driveway. I have tried to contact Hyundai for months now. All I get is the run around. Now they say it is in legal and no one can talk to be. A indepentent investigator concluded that the fire was because of a defective battery cable. Why is it that no one from Hyundai has made an effort to see if I am ok or how they can keep me as a customer?

2013 Elantra

I feel that I was ripped off with the purchase of this car. There is no spare tire in the car. I was not told about this and only found out when I got a flat while visiting another city. Where the car ended up having to be towed to a Hyundai dealership and a whole new tire needed to be replaced. They put a fix a flat in the car and now want to charge 400 for a spare. Why wasn't this included in the cost of the damn car. Or at least give you an option to have it put in. I hate Hyundai and wish I had gone with a Honda. Make sure if you purchase this car you are warned.

2013 Elantra

I am so annoyed with this spare tire thing about no spare in the car. Which requires you to take the car to a dealership in to have a tire repaired. This is the second time since June I have had to have the car towed to a dealership and had to purchase a whole new tire. I am going to try every avenue available to have Hyundai change this.

Service

Had an appointment at Lia Hyundai in Hartford CT. Arrived for a 10 AM appointment at 9:50. Service was change oil ,rotate tires,inspect fluids and brakes. Ask them to expedite the service since I was on my way to Vermont. At 10:20 they had not brought the car in for service.When I asked for my key back they did not even advise if the car would be serviced shortly. They just handed me the keys. They advised when I made the appointment that the service call would require 1 to 1 1/2 hrs to complete. For an Oil Change and Tire rotation. Terrible service Dept.

2012 Santa Fe

The car has been in for repair of the horn 6 times. The horn and auto start suddenly stop working when ever. Hyundai sent their engineer to look at. He suggested that they replace 3 parts. Well, the parts did'nt work, had to reorder and reorder. I have been in a loaner car for 1 week now. Never Again ! Sooooo disappointed in Hyundai

I am a new car buyer. I just purchased a 2013 Elantra and the ABS braking system sucks!! Very dangerous to have your car brakes lock up on you with children in the car.More than 3 to four times. Wow. Not even 30 days in the new car experience..to make matters worst..I was sitting next to a lady while sitting at the dealership that expressed the same thing with her car and she just bought her car 6 months ago. What a reality check!! I'm hoping they get a handle on this situation. very frustrated!!

I made a mistake

I purchase a 2013 sonata Dec.20th 2012 well for the last 30 days my car has been in shop due my radio & cd won't work right I've been told 4 time it fix and each time I pickup my car it's still not working, The GM and maint. manager are not helping at all now I'm looking at taking legal action againt this dealership.

deal gone bad bad sale people and dealers

your tuscon vechicle are great but your dealers and sales people are rude and don;t work together. You must be selling to many and making to much money because your people that represent you becoming rude an non complaince with customers

Miserable dealership and miserable customer service

I leased a 2013 Hyundai. The deal was for the dealership located in Centennial Hills - Las Vegas Nevada to pay off my early termination payments. I picked up the new vehicle. Suddenly I get bombarded with collection phone calls from Hyundai Motor Finance who is looking for my supposedly overdue lease payments. Seems this horrid dealership has not informed Hyundai Finance of our arrangement..My phone calls to the dealership's management have been ignored, other than some lies management told me..Hyundai customer service opened a case # for me. Customer service is as atrocious as the dealership. They take your information and do nothing..They will not call you back with any updates. Do not buy Hyundai unless you want to be lied to and ignored. You've been warned !

Hyundai roadcside servive

I got a flat tire on my car..stranded along side the road after trying to use that JOKE of a flat tire repair kit that came with the car sucks!! Anyways I called Hyundai road side service. I was 6 miles from a LESSLES SCHWAB and they wanted to tow me to the nearest Hyundai dealership!!!! 4 hours away!!! But wanted to charge me 100 dollars to go 6 miles to Les Schwab. Makes no sence!! Needless to say road side service for a flat tire is useless.. I wouldn't have bought tires there anyways...this is the third blow out on these low profile piece of shit tires in a year and a half!!! Not Happy!

NEW 2013 accent, "LEMON"

2013 NEW ACCENT, only 7k miles. Water leaks into entire passenger cabin, local dealership and corporate personnel very insincere and not very concerned about this manufacture defect. It will be 20+ days before our LEMON is returned. MPG on this vehicle is inacuarte. Beware!! don't buy a LEMON! I had to rate a single star, overlook it because this company deserves a -10

is anybody out there having trouble with your torgue converter on your Hyundai Sonata transmission not shifting properly and smoothly, but hanging up before shifting gears when speed is increased?

Dishonest repair shops!

Just want to say thanks to all the people who wrote these reviews. I am happy with my 2006 Tuscon, but not with the repair shop. I think I may have purchased the best of their vehicles. Maybe that's why they keep contacting me to trade it in? However, If I ever buy another car, it will not be a Hyundai because of all the problems I am hearing hear! Ps. I can't rate it lower but I would give it a minus 100 ifI could!

saved my life

I had a 2002 xg350L.that we loved. I was driving at 55 on a major highway when a big work truck pulled out with out looking. I braked but was too close to avoid a major collision. The car was totaled but I walked away. The trooper and the ER doctor were amazed that I wasn't hurt. Great engineering!!!

Hyundai auto

I had my 2005 Hyundai accent in for a oil change and a check up. (I bought it new in 2006.)They found that it needed a Tranny pan gasket.that was cracked. What they didn't tell me was that the front sub frame was rotted out. I could have had an accident hurting or killing someone or myself. I was told that the work that is needed is not under my warranty. The point is that the car is only 7 years old and the part should not have rotted in that time. Perhaps this matter should be looked into for a recall. I had the car serviced at Coastal Hyundai in Melbourne Florida.

visit to Hyundai of Asheville

We were driving around looking at used cars and saw a Subaru Legacy sitting on the lot of Hyundai of Asheville. We pulled in to inquire and could not get a price for the car. After an hour and a half, we finally were priced a brand new Hyundai Accent, which by the way is not what we were even interested in. We could not even get a straight answer from these people!! They weren't interested in selling us a used car. That tried to sway us away from it so that they could sell a new one. I do not like to do business with anyone who will not answer my questions. Their supervision is bad and I will not be doing business there!! Beware of Hyundai of Asheville!!

Hyundai customer serive

One star cant go low enough for the customer service. I am a 3 times Hyundai owner in 9 years. The 2013 Accent is not what the dealer promised. Poor gas mileage and no spare tire comes with the car. They did not inform me. Customer service: they gave me a business card with their email and phone # to call with anything. BUT, they dont return phone calls or emails Avoid Hyundai like they avoid me.

2013 owners beware!

I had a blow out last night away from home. Hyundai Road Assistance came, opened my trunk and told me I have no spare or donut! Instead I have a small compressor and a repair kit! I was shocked. The serviceman was, too. He called his headquarters and was told that's Hyundai's new thing to save money. I was towed to the dealer and told I could have bought a spare at the time of signing my lease. I was never told that i didn't have a spare and never given an offer to purchase one. I bought a spare (with a jack) today, and my new tire and paid a little over $500.00. I am furious. This is my 4th Hyundai and it will be my last if they don't offer some kind of recompence..

Worst experience

I purchased a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, May 17th 2012 from World Hyundai and i have taken my car in for service 11 times in 6 months. I am beyond fed up with this car. I will never buy another Hyundai. Don't get me wrong the people have been nice to me, but this car is obviously a lemon.

You have probably heard this a million times! But my 2002 Hyundai Sonata TURNED OVER 200000 MILES! WOOHOO! And I even videoed it turning over! So far my car is stil doing well! I guess I justed wanted to let you know.
