Sold a piece of junk

I bought a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe from tommy tong at Star Hyundai in queens ny. It turns out this car stalls while driving and I was almost hit from behind twice. The salesperson admitted that the car is defective and is not safe to drive. Hyundai's Regional rep refused to help me. I'm afraid to drive this car.

100,000 waranty is BS!!

I have a 2004 Santa Fe with 99,150 miles and the motor seized yesterday. Had the car towed to the dealership figuring it is still under waranty and they would have to replace the motor...WRONG...they are now telling me that becuase I didn't have the oil changed at the dealership that they will not honor the warranty!!! - I will NEVER purchase another Hyundai

2013 Hyundai Sonata undependable

I bought a new 2013 Hyundai Sonata in November 2012. It has broken down on me twice and had to be towed in to the dealership. The first time they said it was a fork shaped mechanism that was greased too much at the factory and they replaced the part. The second time it was the same problem and they said it was the clip that holds the fork mechanism in place. No compensation was offered to me by the dealership whatsoever. I bought this car new for dependability and I don't like being stranded alone waiting for a tow truck. I am very disgusted with Hyundai's at this point.

Mix Oil vs Synthetic

I purchased 2013 Genesis in cash for $50,000 plus additional $2000 in order to obtain full bumper to bumper 10 year / 100,000 miles warranty only to find the car does not use synthetic oil without being told except that it uses cheap mix oil. They charge oil change service for mix oil at $29.95, however, will charge $59.95 for synthetic oil as an upgrade!! If I had known this I wouldnt buy this crap for $50 grand.

Hyundai Azera steering problems

I recently purchased a 2013 Hyundai Azera. After a few days I noticed that the steering seems stiff and is very difficult to hold in a straight line. What can be done about this? Can any adjustments be made to gain better control? If not, then I doubt that I will ever purchase another Hyundai again!

2011 sonata turbo limited

Thank God i only leased this car. This car is a piece of crap from countless recalls to turbo problems torque converter problems tire problems speaker starting switch problems etc. Will never buy or lease again will never recommend to my worst enemy.

Well Known Publisher

I've run famous name national publications, which consumer rely upon. My staff and I are very careful about what we put into print. Simply put, my Sante Fe (superior package) has almost gotten me killed. It is constantly in the shop. And Hyundai service, in the NYC area, is the worst service I've ever experienced in the last 25 years.

2013 Sonata Steering Issue

My 2013 Sonata has a steering issue, just like the more than 20 reported to NHTSA complaints (about half of all complaints; just google NHTSA, complaints).. I have just slightly less than 4000 miles on it now and just waiting to see how the tire wear goes. It is extremely tiring to drive on the interstate, veering left and right. Too bad that Hyundai focused on designing a "smart phone on wheels". Letters and phone calls to/from corporate headquarters in Fountain Valley, CA, as well as dealer visits, all are basically concluded with "that is just the way it is and meets design objectives". Well, it is a dysfunctional electric power steering design and several other websites verify that conclusion.

Ron Carter Hyundai

First time trying to buy a Hyundai and I didn't know it would be such a bad experience. Ron Carter Hyundai in Clear Lake had a vehicle on Auto Trader with a price tag of $15,500. Turns out the price was pumped full of rebates that didn't apply to me and it was actually $20,000. They wouldn't even let me see the vehicle I came to look at. Then they tried to low ball me on my trade in. I don't know if they thought I was ignorant, or they just don't take car buyers seriously, but that was pathetic.

Let just start with this comment! 1st hyundai makes an error on the 2011 elantra's millege stating 40 hwy miles which they somewhat corrected by sending a gift card for the millege difference...2nd I'm told I need new tires when I haven't reached a minimum of 40, 000 miles. I have 35, 000 miles. I was told by the service mgr. "For some reason all original tires wear out faster than the next new set" with that said....are you ppl advertising false info on the tires?! Ppl purchase new cars for the fact of no repairs, comfort, reliability. I've yet to feel that way! Maybe I need to take it to the media where the whole country can hear my argument!

2011 elantra

My car has been in the hyundai service shop for over a month now! I bought it brand new and since then I've had to return it 3 times for various reasons. I called the customer service line and all the woman did was call the dealership and ask when it would be done. Wow really? I already know that! 1st time buying a new car and I've been given runarounds, excuses, while I've watched slews of cars being seviced. I'm not one to seek legal action but is that what it takes to get results!? I feel discriminated...It's like once you buy a car from them, they treat you with no respect or regards to your feelings.

I bought a 2013 Elantra in early 2012 love the car ......only pissed that no spare tire is with vehicle.And now not buying my second car for family with hyundai because of this reason

just got a sonata found out it was in car hit in 2010 it is a 2011 they did not tell me would not payed for this. will go to dealer first then corp

The WORST

First there's an issue with the mph, now my windows, wipers, ALL exterior lights, brake lights and horn don't work, I called the Manager at the dealership he was RUDE, and I have to pay for a rental car why they take their time figuring out the problem. Thanks for the headache.

So Pissed off

I bought a 2013 Santa Fe on march 29 and it has been at Hardin Hyundai since April 6 because they can't fix the front bumper which just mysteriously became loose. Now they want me to make anpaent on a car they have had for 3 weeks!!! Bad service!!!

2011 genesis coupe

The genesis is a nice sports car but the problem is that the paint is peeling off all over the car. When took to dealer they said it was rocks from the road that made dents etc. the car only got 16000 miles and when I took to body shop the guys say this car was painted poorly and has been repainted before sold. Took to dealer they took pictures of the car and was never heared from again. I call and was given a lot of run around

Tires

Is anyone having problems with the tires now being installed on the Hyundai's? I own a 2012 SONATO wearing "Low Profile" 16 in. KUMHO P205/65R16; treadware 430, traction A, temperature A,SOLUS KH25/P205/65R16 94H M+S "All Season" Radials. I reside in the Allegehney Mt. region of W.C. Pa. These tires are WORTHLESS for traction in Winter driving. Hyundai is using the afore mentioned tire for longer wear & better ride, but, they are NO good for snow & ice driving. If not for the functioning of the 6 speed tranny in this car I can't leave my home on a snowy day! What was ever wrong with the GENERAL & MICHELIN brand of tires. I have owned four (4) Hyundai auto's and this is the first one I can't drive on a snow covered roadway.

Everyone has a bad day..However, i was under the impression that when trained for a multibillion dollar compay you are trained ediquite to buying customers no matter what vehical..lease or buy.i wen through so many trial and tribulations to get a brand new car fixed..due to the braking abs system..wow. not only a month old.Tried to submit a complaint and to no prevail recieved no answers just excuses. i hope in the fuure hyndui hires people who care not people who just want a pay check!

BUY A HYUNDAI

I bought a Hyundai from the Dealership at the Cerritos Auto square in Cerritos, Ca. I am so very pleased with the sale and service I received! Also every time I call for customer service I also get excellent help, kind and professional prompt assistance. I would do a commercial for free for Hyundai because my Hyundai Elantra is the best car I've ever had and I've had plenty, including Toyota's and Honda's but Hyundai is the car I will now be sticking to when me or my family needs another car!

I will never lease or finance a hyuandai the employees are rude and unprofessional they did not fix my car after being in the shop more over the last 2 years then I actually was able to enjoy the car. I will never recommend this company to anyone looking to get a car.
