Home Depot SUCKS big time, I used them for my windows, they subed it out to a sub contractor, a year later the job is not done yet, still fighting with them

AC Installation

I went through Home Depot to have a new AC/heating unit installed for my condo. They contracted FH Furr to do this. What a nighmare! It took FH Furr 10 hours to install it and they had to come back 3 times because they didn't get it right and I had no A/C. I will NEVER use FH Furr or Home Depot for this ever again. I eventually had to use another contractor to fix what FH Furr could not and no one reimbursed me.

employment

I had a in-store interview at your Henderson store in las vegas nv. on dec. 26,2013. the hr manager says he wants to hire me but has been putting me off time after time for one reason or another.most recently blaiming corporate.last month ken millhouse said he went to get my application they received in dec '13 but couldn't find it. then told me to go online and reapply. I did that and now he says he is just waiting on corporate to sent the new application to him.

Going to Lowe's

Quality & product presentation is looking more like a flea market on a daily basis. Lowe's has it down to a science.

OLD CUSTOMER

I'm an old Home Depot customer, whom spent a lot of money through lot of years, but today after getting in contact with the billing dept., I had realize that for H.D. we are not customers but numbers, and they only care about profit. So I had decided to pay the last balance in full and cut the HD card in half right in front of the manager's store face.

Disrespectful

Bought a leaf blower at the New Smyrna Beach, Fl store, had to have it repaired three times. The third time they said there was a charge of 75.00. When I bought it, the sales person said it had a two year warranty. It appears the two year warranty only covers the plastic casing on the blower. I paid 159.00 for the blower, if I pay 75.00 for the repair and it breaks again, I'm out 75.00 more dollars. I told them to shove it. Lesson learned, read the fine print, also don't trust the salesperson. The customer service girl at the store ignored me when I complained, very disrespectful. They got me this time, but that's the last time, I will never shop in that store again, neither will my whole family.

Poor Product Support

Bought an offset umbrella with less than 1 summer's use but out of warranty. The brochure stated you not call Home Depot for any missing parts but I needed to buy a handle and winding mechanism. Maker does not sell parts and Home Depot said they could not help. I had to buy everything except the base. $120 for the top half and $80 to ship. Home Depot- do it yourself motto?

I am so fed up with Home Depot. Everytime I go into these stores it is a horrible experience with getting help or associates that do not know what they are doing. Is anything ever going to change with the stores? You can not even get to a district manager without going through an in store manager that do nothing to change things. Get some help that know what they are doing!!!

Horrible company

I purchased the hampton bay set in March. Set it up after it was missing the screws Home Depot had us come into the store to get some that matched and made us pay for them also. So today one of the chairs break and Home Depot says I am out of warranty. I had the chairs in my porch for 1 month. There's nothing they can do for us. So because they choose to sell crappy items and not stand behind their product Inwill no longer be shopping with them an anyone else who asks me I will give they negative feedback. I thought it was a better company but today the true colors showed.

Truely Disappointing

I served my country for ten years and at check out i was given a choice of their 24 month free financing OR a Military discount of 10%. They don't think that military vets are important enough to truly separate a veteran and their credit card terms. Credit card terms being 10% or 24 month free financing. If they upheld their military discount, they should give vets 10% off and still offer their free financing (26.9% if not)

Happy customer

Yup finally you guys have it right. Enough clerks to assist customers. I needed fencing for exhibiting paintings at a Fair. Had 3 clerks help me out. I left very pleased with getting what I needed. Way to go . . .

Veterans are not being informed that Home Depot does not honor its discount for all items sold in their stores. There is no list available from corporate or store level. Veterans Discounts are on selected items only and those items are not disclaimed until checkout when it's too late to comparison buy.

Customer

I placed an order for 3 appliances online and received confirmation of delivery date. After placing the order and payment taken for the 3 appliances, I received a call from HomeDepot stating that I am not going to receive my purchase on the date confirmed when the order was placed. I explained that the order needs to be warranted as agreed at the time of purchase cause my old appliances has been removed. I was then told to go down to our local Home Depot and work it out with them. My husband informed the representative on the call that, my wife and I have done so three times prior to making the purchase on line.

HomeDepot stopped honoring my Veteran discount

At the check stand I was told there was a policy change and I will no longer get a Veteran discount. Has HomeDepot decided to blow off the Veterans? 98% of their merchandise comes from China so I guess we Americans aren't important to them. Allen

ridiculous service

stores phone line puts you on hold everyday for at least 20 minutes before I hang up. No service. Very few knowledgable people in store, rude in carpet department. Needed carpet but was due back a deposit fee from last carpet book we borrowed. Man was unprofessional and rude. Going back to small independent carpet house. prices just a little higher but well worth it for the service.

Waited 15 min for help at windows and Doors

Went in to Home Depot to order part for a door. Waited 15 min for employee to help us. Finally had to leave after going to employees of other department asking them to call for assistance for window and doors. Time is money. This was at the Vinings Home depot

Why are the store hours different on holidays for each store. All store hours should be the same. Let your employees enjoy some family time on the 4th of July. Not many will be shopping after 6:00. I am sure you are enjoying your 4th of July.

Unprofessional

I ordered a Hunter Carmen 34 in. Indoor New Bronze Ceiling Fan $79.97 (order # W278446033) on June 6, 2014. It has now been 13 days later and I still have not received my order, but have received many 'run around' excuses every time I call about my order. I was even told, when I requested that someone call the warehouse to locate my order, that there was 'no' physical phone number for them to research my order. This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. I am hoping that Home Depot's Corporate Headquarters can do me right. 334-403-7518

Poor communications

As of today I am naturally miffed with the poor communications for customers expecting installation. After rushing home from a trip to Calif. to prepare for a patio door install I learn on the scheduled morning that it had been cancelled and needed to be re-ordered. No message to myself was called to let me know. Not having one project person to contact is another glitch.
