I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express (7336 Bear Lane) in Columbus GA on several trips during the past few years. Each stay has impressed me more! During my last stay in Feb. to attend my mother's funeral, the staff was unbelievable!. While they are always friendly and courteous, they went out of their way to accomodate me and all family members staying there! I would like to especially say that Linda Blackshear (I think she's one of the managers, always at the front desk) is an exceptional member of your staff. She went above and beyond her customary duties to make sure our stay was pleasant and stress-free. She manages her staff in a way that they appreciate so they in turn pass on that good-will to your guests. In an age when "customer service" is a dying commodity, please recognize your staff at that location - they still understand the meaning of customer service and embrace it. I will always stay at that Holiday Inn Express when I'm in Columbus.

Stayed @ HI Riverwalk SATX March 2011. Roommate not ready @ 4:00pm waited 30min. No hot Hot water for showers that night. Reported water situation next am & was gone all day! Note on our room door to call desk. We had to pack up our things & move to a suite! The suite had a board table & a bedroom - in theory we got the "suite" for the same price, but I would never stay in this HI or another one again!

I stay at Holiday Inn all the time because usually the service is great and the rooms are what you pay for. I reserved two rooms back in Feb. and I myself checked into both rooms. Later on that night the staff gave two peopl room keys (which I already had the room keys to that room) to two other people without asking me if that was ok. When I complained about it they were VERY rude! I called and complained beyond the staff at that particular hotel and no one even bothered to call me back. I guess me staying at a Holiday Inn aroung 70 nights per year doesn't matter to them. I have been staying at Hiltons and they are MUCH better. Much better costumer service.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Grand Haven/Spring Lake, MI over the weekend of April 8th 2011. We had items stolen from our room while there. We reported to the front desk and was told that a manager would investigate and contact us by morning. No manager ever contacted us. When checking out we asked to speak to a manger and was told that there was no manager on duty. After checking out and getting into our vehicle, we called back to ask for a manager and was told that the manager was busy and would have to call us back. However, we have a copy of the report that we filed. We are prior military and now government employees that travel to various places and have never encountered such poor service. Also, the hotel has employees that are temporarily living in this hotel. Some of these employees are partying at all hours of the night and nothing is done to stop the constant noise.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on Staten Island where I have stayed in the past. They did not clean my room on 2 separate occasions and both times I saw the cleaning people as I was leaving my room and asked them if they can please clean my room. Well, my room was not cleaned and then a nasty manager tried to tell me that I left my ""do not disturb"" tag on the door....LOL.. I had told him that I saw the cleaning people and I NEVER use my do not disturb tag anyway. Apparently this manager did not like my complaint because in a very strange coincidence the 5 45am wake up call that I needed on the morning I left never arrived and it's a computerized system so obviously the nasty mgr INTENTIONALLY did not enter my wake up call. I almost missed my flight as I was going 90mph on my way to the airport and I got pulled over by the police. Thankfully he took mercy on me as he could've arrested me on the spot but it was very early sunday morning and he believed my story. There was also a red stain of some kind on the inside of my shower curtain and I'm a guy that doesn't wear nail polish...lol.. and I didn't bleed in the shower either. Just about every Holiday Inn I've been to in the past couple years has really really been very bad. I will never stay there again. I called 770 604 2000 to complain and it seems to be a corporate group that handles the properties and complaints but they may be several degrees removed from the actual property that you may have stayed at. You must ask for the name of the company that actually OWNS the property that you stayed at then you must write or call them. They first offered me 30 dollars worth of coupons off my next day. Bye the time I was done asking for a mgr higher than I was speaking with, they had already taken one nites stay off my bill and they offered 60 bucks worth of coupons. I told the woman that it's not enough. She said....Okay, all I can give you is 80 dollars worth of coupons. I said not enough, I want 100 worth of coupons and she said yes. Bottom line...Always keep demanding more and more and you will get it. I also let them that I hate social networking sites but I will use them to spread nasty P.R. about certain companies that will cost them plenty of money. They don't like to hear that at all....lol....

The lovely holiday Inn in Quincy Il. is the worst place to work for.A certain gentlemen

I'd give no stars if that were possible. I went online and booked a room at Brentwood Holiday Inn (Contra Costa County), but I typed in the wrong dates. Instead of March 23 and 24, I typed March 24 and 25. When I tried to correct that, I got the runaround. The online bookers said only the motel could change the date, and the motel said only the "third party" could do it. The third party could have been HotelPlanner.com, Expedia, or TravelNow. I couldn't determine which. Bottom line, I'm out $91.20 for nothing. They won't refund my money. I'm trying to get my bank for nullify the transaction.

Somewhat long story, but here it is: I received a wedding invitation from my Grandson and his Fiancee today for an April 22 wedding. The invitation indicated that reduced room rates had been arranged at Holiday Inn Express, 4485 N. I35, Denton, Texas and had the phone number. I called and was told that no arrangements had been made for any reduced rates for their wedding. They checked their records under my grandsons name as well as the future brides name - nothing. I then asked what if I just paid the regular rate for 4/21 and 4/22 what would the rate be. The clerk asked me a few questions and told me that a single room, non-smoking, with a king bed would be $99 plus I would get a 15% discount bringing the total to $84. I asked what the discount was attribed to and she said "military." I am also a Senior, and an AARP member of which I had told her. This all sounded pretty good to me and I was tempted to just make the reservation. Instead, I told her that I needed to call my grandson and have them double check everything to make sure that all was OK. The future bride called me back within 20 minutes and said that she had just called the hotel and was told everything was in fact fine and OK. I called again (different clerk) and she again told me there was no record of the wedding in their system. I told her of my discussion with the future bride and she asked if she could call me back - - - sure, no problem. I received a call an hour later from another person who identified herself as the Sales Manager. She asked if I would like to make a reservation and I told her the brief story and asked for a rate quote. She told me the reduced wedding rate for the room I wanted was $89. I told her that that was actually more than I could have gotten the room for an hour ago at $84. She said "no way," that their standard rate for the room was $116; I then told her that on the Holiday Inn web site it was in fact listed as $105. She tried to explain that away as something to do with the internet and certain days, etc. I then asked her why the front desk who answer the phone and make reservations didn't even have the wedding information available. She said that the Holiday Inn System takes 24 hours to accommodate the setting up of the account and that the bride had just signed the paperwork yesterday(which is true). I told the Manager that her system, in this day and age of competition and technology, should be able to reflect this information where it is needed the most (hello - - - front desk) immediately, the minute it is entered into the system. Bottom line - - - I travel a lot and am just not use to such poor service, and what appears to be poorly organized employees at a hotel. I did go ahead and make my "reduced cost reservations" for $89 - - - and chose not to discuss the earlier "regular cost" quote of $84 that I had received. I now hope that our stay, as well as our other family members stay at your hotel, is a lot more positive. I doubt that I will be making reservations at a Holiday Inn in the future. Very sincerely, Randall Richardson

Area: El Centro, CA Motel: Holiday Inn Express Manager: Juanita Robles Dates: March 4th and 5th in the Presidential Suite (their very best) Experience: Terrible Room was as advertised on website. Very nicely furnished and clean except for sofa back cushions missing. That was strange. Loved the room first night. Second night at 10 pm we discovered a wedding reception and music directly under our room would be playing until midnight. Is not a motel there to provide people with a quiet room for sleeping? Of course, we asked to move to another room, which they did and helped move things. At checkout, I missed several clothes in a closet. Only today, after five days and four unreturned phone calls did we manage to speak to the manager. Still have not received our clothes. I find it so hard to believe, in this sad economic time for businesses, that we received no apology, no customer service, only a bad attitude from the manager.

I am a minister here is Phoenix Arizona and as such do many weddings here in the City. Every time I deal with one of your properties it is a bad experience not only for me but for the couple. None of your properties in the Phoenix area inform the brides that they will not assist with the processional or wedding rehearsal. They are told just before the big event they can have a rehearsal but none of the staff will be there to assist them. Holiday Inn is the only property in the Phoenix area that does not assist in a rehearsal. It is common practice for the venue to assist the wedding couple with anything they need including dedicating some assistance for the rehearsal. Most recently, I was told by one of the staff, "we dont do that I am a Catering Manager not a wedding coordinator" She seemed to have no concern for the bride and groom and asked me to provide her with the list for the processional and the exact words for the ceremony. Then said she needed them so she could time everything for the reception. Made no sense to me. Your staff have sent very mean and nasty e-mails to me letting me know that I would need to handle the entire wedding or the couple would have no idea what they were doing because she certainly was not going to help. If this is some type of Corporate Policy I suggest it be changed. There is more to a wedding than just the catering at the reception. The staff does nothing more than to add stress to the entire wedding experience. You would certainly book more weddings at your properties if your staff would assist the brides with their needs. As I said every other property in this area assists with rehearsals. Your staff does not even attend a rehearsals. Rev Giovanni

I stayed two nights at the Holiday Inn in dover delaware on Feb 25 and 26th and we starting having problems with our toliet it was practically running over called down to the front desk about 7pm and no one was on duty at the time of my call and no one expected in til 11pm meanwhile we were on the 4th floor had to go down the elevator to the main lobby to go to the restroom which was an incovience and on top of the problem the tub would not drain. Its like they did not care and on top of it they had a swingers party there which if i would have know we definitely would have not stayed i feel we should have been told about this swingers party it may us feel very uneasy. What happened if i brought children or my mother in law during this event? I think im entitled to a refund with all the issues that arised during our stay..At 96 dollars and some change should have enjoyed my stay and did not .

I've stayed at some very good hotels in my time. The Holiday Inn in Torrance California has got to be one of the worst. I am with a group of 100 telephone employees that have stayed at this hotel, some of the guys have gone home. I still have another 3 - 4 weeks. I try to use the dirty hot tube next to the pool. I have complained to the front desk and they say its supposed to be cleaned everyday. My question is, why is it still dirty everyday? There is cigarette butts floating, skin particals, dirt, and leaves. Im very upset when the front dest ignors my request to clean the hot tube. Maybe you can get them to clean it. Roger W Murphy

I Booked a super savor fair for the Crown Plaza Blanchardstown Ireland. Booked it for the wrong date and they were No Help at all. No refund or credit for amything. So I payed for 2 nites that I could not use at all. Too bad because I like the hotel itself. jf

The Holiday Inn at Koger Center in Richmond VA was the worst hotel I have ever been in. As a business traveler for over 30 years and a Platinum Priority Club member for over 20 years, this hotel was deplorable and the management and staff were definitely not interested in customer satisfaction. The room heater took about 6 hours to warm up. The pillows were hard as rocks. When I requested a couple of softer ones I was curtly informed, after my 2nd request 2 hours later, that none were available. After a few heated words, the “manager” decided to seek counsel from her supervisor and low and behold 2 soft pillows magically appeared. The restaurant was a fiasco. We were denied the $2.95 continental upgrade and told we could only order from the full menu when another couple who arrived after us was given the upgrade. Our pancakes were cold and the waitress argued with us and said it was impossible. The 4 slices of strawberries were old, bruised and spoiled. At checkout, instead of being concerned with our stay and that I was pleased that 2 pillows were located the only concern was that I left the pillows in the room, implying that I did not steal the them!

Hilday inn Paris porte de clichy manager is really the wrong man at the wrong place, this man should be better in a bazar in egypt better than in a five star hotel i wonder who had the genial idea to recruite such mal educated peron for holiday inn, does holiday inn have a real human resource manger?????????????

We recently stayed at the farmington hills holiday inn. Not only was our stay horrible due to a party the hotel was hosting, we ended up with over $700 of charges. After numerous calls and visits the hotel, manager has not spoken directly to us or were we ever informed what the damages entailed. They stole our money and refuse to speak to any of us regarding the charges. I have never experienced such horrible customer service in my life starting from the front desk all the way to corporate. I will never stay at another holiday inn and will inform everyone of how horrible this company is. I have spoken to other people who have stayed at this hotel previos times after this incident and they too claim the hotel of charging their cards of up to 4 times. This hotel deserves a 0 out of 5. If you like having money stolen from you and having to deal with rude employees then you may want to book a room at a holiday inn. Be assured you will regret it.
