I went into the Roswell, NM Hobby Lobby this evening to pick up a few things and there was a 50% off sign for the candle holders (mirrors) so I picked one up and went to check out. The young gentlemen (who was very polite) asked a girl at the other register (cashier, supervisor, asst. manager???) if they were on sale this week and she very rudely stated that they were not and she had in fact pulled all the signs off of all items that were not on sale this week. I told her (having to talk a little louder than I would have liked since she didn't even bother to come over to the register I was at) that there was a sign showing they were 50% off. She again said very loudly that she had pulled all the signs from last week. There were other customers and employees around and I felt she had talked loudly and in the manner that she did to say that as a hispanic person I was lying about the sign being there. Did that mean I was seeing things that were not there. Of course not,she wanted me to know she did her job and that I was lying. Talk about DISCRMINATION! I work in a job that CUSTOMER SERVICE is at the top of our list and to be treated that way by an employee of a business where customer service should rate somewhere up there -- well, I just can't begin to grasp how she continues to hold her job unless it was only me she treated that way. I don't personally know her so again all I see is DISCRMINATION.

It's a SIN to pretend to be a Christin Bus. just to make a profit. You'll pay for it in eternity - meanwhile all the good people that work or have worked for you get treated worst than satan himself would treat them. May God have Mercy on your Soul.

You get a positive rating for selection from me, however, I tried to get something online and it still is saying there was free shipping and it took me forever to find the fine print and realize it's only until the end of the 26th and it is midnight here, so now technically the 27th. Therefore there really isn't free shipping. Feels like a bit of a rip off to me. Surely someone could take that ad off the website at the time the ad ends.... When companies don't clarify and keep things running efficiently they waste their customer's time therefore, making them decide NOT to buy.. which as an effect causes both parties to lose. The customer misses out on time they could spend elsewhere and the business loses the customer.

worked at corporate office for many years and watch them treat employees like they where nothing and when you get some good raises and start making money they have you train someone to take your place for a cheaper pay.Mr Green said he would shut the large company down before he would let the union in.last year i was there it was almost impossible to get threw the union outside.this is not a place to make a career of.I have never seen such a hostile work place and such a bad turnover on employees.you are lucky to last 3 years.i really hope this company fixes its issues because Mr green is a wonderful nice person. He and his daughter have created a large company but built on employees hard work just to be thrown away when you start making to much and its cheaper to fire you to replace you with a new cheaper employee.Seems like they follow fast food practices. Also be very careful with the items they sell.every month they tape off the warehouse to fumigate due to the fact everything is from overseas.i have seen bugs and snakes that where not from here!!!!

my dislike of what i saw at corporate offices is so bad they wont even print it here!!!!!!

My daughter works at Hobby Lobby in Colorado. She found a fifty dollar bill on the floor and turned it in because she was told that if unclaimed it is returned to the person who turned it in. She was just informed that the new policy is that any found money that is turned in is now sent to the Corporate Office. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

i tried to discuss a problem i was having in regards to the missouri city texas location. I contacted Mr Parker, introduced myself and started to exoplain why I was calling. I was very polite and to the point. I spoke about two sentences when he very harshly cut me off stating "I have already spoken to several of yall regarding this situation and have informned THEM that i will take care of this situation. well thank you I never felt so repremanded before, you cut me off so fast i never even got to tell you my concerns or anything for that matter. Take my advice, learn to listen as if you care, learn to talk with others, possibly get out of a business that deals with customers. I used to Love Hobby Lobby. I have discovered that my first time to have a problem it would be best if i keep it all to myself or go someplace else. Thank you Mr Vince Parker had you listened to me maybe you would know that i am a customer not cattle.

What does it mean on the coupon when it excludes CRICUTS products?

TO THE STORE IN PUEBLO COLORADO #214 3001 HART RD(ONLY STORE IN PUEBLO)I FEEL VERY BAD FOR EMLOYEES BECAUSE BAD MANAGEMENT SHOWS THREW THESE EMPLOYEES!

All I can say is HATS OFF to the Janesville Wisconsin store is wonderful at their customer service and the response time for refunds!!! they are a clean store and their recover is one of the nicest i have seen in any store. The manager and co-manager Kevin and Corey are wonderful with their employees and their customers, they treat everyone as equals and always do what they can to keep the customer and employee staisfied. I will continue to speak volumes on this store becuase this is the kind of service all stores should be giving to their customers and employees!! I would rather drive the extra time it takes me to go to Janesville than to go to the other hobby lobby's that are closer to me! Thank You a hundred times over Janesville Hobby Lobby!

I live in Oklahoma and have used Hobby Lobby's custom framing service. The "50% off" they offer for this service is simply a crock. Take your article to any honest, well-qualified custom framer. Don't mention what Hobby Lobby has quoted you, just ask for an estimate. You'll find the regular price quoted by the framer is the same or within a dollar or two of what Hobby Lobby quotes as being "50% off". So, why can't Hobby Lobby just do business honestly, rather than lying to customers??

I was extremely dissatisfied with Hobby Lobby store #293. I went in to buy last item party favors for my daughters sweet 16 and one of the items a feather to make a pen for the sign in guest book. When I arrived home the bag was empty and there was no feather to be found, I immediately turn around from home to the store because I needed the item. I let te register know that there was no feather in the bag and she looked around and did not find it either. She called assistance and that person had me wait to let the manager know. I waited for about 20 minutes saw the assistant and te manager with another customer and was then told that the assistant saw the security camera and saw that the bag was taken and it just assumed the was inside the bag. I explained my circumstances and let him know that it was not and that I was not lying and it could have been an honest mistake by te cashier to have placed it in the following bag to the next customer, because I know for a fact that I did not have or drop it. He said there was nothing he could do except look at the camera himself, making me feel cheap and like a liar. I feel that it was an insult on his behalf. Let me just mention that the feather was only $2.00. I would have not tried to get away with $2.00 petty dollars, but he obviously felt that for $2.00 it was worth his assisant's time his time and not to mentioned the customers time too. I'm sure his and her rate is worth more that the $2.00, in that time he could have made a customer happy, use his an his assisant's time wisely and much more productively by issuing another feather. But instead his dissatisfied me thecustomer consumed my time and made me the customer feel insulted. On top of everything used his and the assisant's time unwisely and unproductively. I assure you that I will make my experienced known to all my friends, customers at work and relatives in Houston,Texas and my friends in relatives in the valley know of the horrific expierence I had at Hobby Lobby.( in conclusion I still had to repurchase the feather for $2.00 o Lu because I did not have it and needed it, but will never ever purchase there again) a customer lost and yet another bad customer referral against Hobby Lobby for a petty $2.00 feather.

The biggest complaint I have with your store is not enough check out lanes..I am guessing they have proubly just been understaffed due to the sluggish economy..and like the other comment posted above I think Hobby Lobby can do better at picking out management staff in there stores..many of the managers do not appear to be very personable or professional to customers which surprises me being that Hobby Lobby is considered a christian buisness..picking good managers is just as important as picking good employees.

I am currently an employee of store #494, dont know for how long, they have laid off so many employees and the ones they have kept are getting 1 maybe 2 days, if your lucky you get 3 days as part-time. The employees they have made "full-time" are some of the most unfriendly, unskilled individuals I have ever met. They leave their work for the part-timers to do, and then they talk to them like they are 5 years old. The management, OMGOSH, is a joke! They will walk right by every employee and not even say hello, goodmorning, goodnight! The most un-Christian "Christian" place I have ever worked for! The District Manager seems to nit pick everything, from where one nick nack goes to where things are to be positioned in the break room and they get mad if food is in the break room..ya, food in the break room..Lord forbid! They expect a cashier to know where everything in the craft dept is located when they dont even get to leave the registers, they expect the fabric ladies to know where everything is in the seasonal area and when you leave your area, you get repromanded! They say, oh, if you dont know where somethings at, you should walk around and find it while on your break..break? Are you serious?! We need a break to be away from customers that get mad because we don't know where a frame is when we are in candles, or where a candle is when we are "assigned" to arts/hobbies. They made full-timers of teenagers who feel the need to criticize part-timers. Full-timers get paid $4 MORE AN HOUR then part-timers but expect us to do their work and know their work. When the DM comes in everyone is like....shhhhh oh wow the DM is here everyone needs to be good..what the heck? There is one particular prick named Kurt who, how should I say?? Ummm, total prick how else could I explain him? lol So true though, ask anyone there! They want you to "watch" shoplifters, but not do or say anyting except, how r u? Need any help? How 'bout I put that jewelry into your purse for you? Come on! Joke! Mr. Green, I would hope you would jump on out here to the Ca. store that you own and maybe lay down your book and compensate those who work hard for you, promote those part-timers who do your "full-timers" jobs, say thank you , teach your management to say thank you, hello, goodmorning, have a great day! Your doing a good job!"Do unto others as you would have done unto you", thats a great motto! Maybe put that in fortune cookies and give to your management teams instead of their big bonuses at the end of the year for seeing how many people they can cut from payroll?! Just a thought Mr. Green, from a very unhappy employee, or soon to be unemployed from the Hobby Lobby. Thank you and have a great day!

I am writing to discuss a very disturbing incident that happened to me while shopping at your New Hartford, NY location yesterday, 6/22/12. I have been a frequent shopper at Hobby Lobby since your New Hartford location opened. I am an avid scrapbooker and enjoy the vast selection your store has.Not only do I enjoy your scrapbook products but other arts and crafts and your home decor as well. In the past I have always felt like I was being watched by your employees and this has made it difficult to shop. I still chose to return to your store simply for the products that I cannot buy at your competitor Michael's, which is located right down the street. However, yesterdays incident has made it so that I will never return to your store again. I was looking for scrapbook items for a baby book I was creating for a friend. In the first five minutes in the store I once again felt like I was being followed and watched by your employees. In particular a short dark haired woman, who I know to be a manager from prior visits. Once she seen me, there were three employees that followed me through every isle I went through in the store. I circled the store about three times to verify my suspicion. They loud spoke on their radios in my presence about how they were happy they installed new cameras. They even did an in-store loud speaker page to security. I will admit that once I noticed I was being followed I continued to wander. In fact, I found it quite amusing that a store would allow three employees to waste their time following me. I had every intention to purchase what was in my basket, so I often smirked at the employees when they ended up in every isle I was in. This made it very difficult to shop. After about a half an hour of being followed I had had enough. While walking to the cash register line I stopped and informed the employee who seemed to be following me the most, a younger girl named Nicole, that I was going to cash out and they did not need to follow me anymore. But the story does not end there. I bought my items, a $16 purchase. However, when I left the store one of the older employees that was following me came out of the store and wrote down my licences plate number. A few moments later the police showed up. They treated me like I was a criminal. Your employees told the officers that they had witnessed me shove something under the passenger seat of my car. I had to allow the police to search my car in the parking lot of your store. What an embarrassing situation. I could see your employees in the store laughing like they had caught a shoplifter. Of course, the only items I had were the ones that I purchased. I was treated by the police like I was "getting away" with it because your store had no proof I stole. This is because I did not steal. I was then informed by the police that I was no longer allowed to return to Hobby Lobby. I was shocked, I had done nothing wrong. I had made a purchase and now I was no longer allowed in the store or I would be arrested. This brought me to instant tears. I was accused of doing something I did not do and was now being punished for it. I knew if I had tried to discuss this with the manager that nothing would come of it, they accused me of stealing. So I went to my parents home in tears and described what had happened. My father immediately contacted your store manager to discuss the situation. My father was originally told that the store manager, Bob, did not have time to deal with this because he had a store to run. The manager wasn't to concerned about running his store when three to four of his employees spent 30-45 minutes following me around the store. The manager finally agreed to meet with us in person. We immediately went back to the store where we discussed the situation. I was told they remember me from a prior incident where I "stuffed a bag full of merchandise and left it in an isle". Another untrue accusation. After expressing my side of the story, I was given an apology and allowed back in the store. I was advised by the manager that I was welcome back to the store and assured his employees would no longer follow me like they did that day and prior visits before. However I feel it is necessary to report the situation in hopes that you will discuss this with your employees to insure another customer is not mistreated like I was. I am a very loyal customer to your store, I have made a purchase every time I have been in there and can easily show bank records to prove it. Although I am not a major spender, I shop frequently and usually average a $20 purchase every time. I am subscribed to your online coupons. For holidays and birthdays, Hobby Lobby was always my first choice for gift cards. I even had a zero balance gift card in my purse at the time of this incident. I currently work at a highly reputable company in customer service. I have also worked at a very popular retail store for five years in customer service. I also have a college degree in Criminal Justice. I completely understand the need to watch customers for possible shoplifting to protect your business. However, to accuse someone of something they did not do and have police brought into the situation is down right embarrassing and terrible customer service. I have not been so embarrassed in my entire life. I make a good living and have no need to steal from your store or any other store. I was more upset by the fact that I consider my self a loyal customer of yours and your management chose to take the mere suspicion that an employee had and turn it into a very very bad experience for me. I would never ever consider treating one of my customers this way. I can never step foot in that store again and feel comfortable. I will now need to shop at your competitor and must now choose from their limited selection. I have always shopped Hobby Lobby for your selection, I ignored the bad customer service prior to this time. However this experience is one I will never forget.

Apparently I am not the only one who has had a problem with how customers are treated at the register. I will be calling back today to speak with the manager and we will see how far I get with this conversation. My problem was I went shopping for decorations for my grandsons room and when I went to the register Arleng #57771 stated the table lamp which was ceramic and on a display with 4 plus or more lamps along ceramic art was not on sale. I stated but it was ceramic and the sign did not say excludes lamps or anything. Basically I was shut off and with the statement that was last week period. She never even took the moment to go and look at the display to verify what I was telling her. Consequently I walked out without the lamp and very upset on how rude she was. I went home and called but the manager was not available "Dan" he was counting money as I was told--I asked what was a better time to call and wasn't really given a time so I decided to call today 6-6-12. If I do not get a good answer I will take back my other items and never shop at Hobby Lobby again and this truly makes me sad for a company that truly basis itself as being "family oriented"

The Cactus and Tatum Store in quite nice, always a pleasure to shop there and a quietly Christian environment. I have bought a number of gifts and items to decoration my Christian household and have been happy with each one. I have purchased crosses and other religious decorations, but would like to find a section with a actual crucifix. I love the symbol of the cross, but revere with all my heart what He did for me on it. Can we look forward to something like that soon? I am aware of the resurrection and fully believe, I just appreciate what the crucifix represents to me, the act of fully giving Himself for my redemption. Wow! Thanks for the great stores, please keep up the good work!

Hobby Lobby manager in Springfield Illinois needs to take customer relation classes and or sexual harassment training as it is not polite or correct to stare at women customers. I felt he stared the while time while I was returning items and was not satisfied and had to make a special trip over 75 miles to return items their stock clerk screwed up. He stood there mouth open just staring the whole time, I called him on it as it made me feel very uncomfortable which caused a scene and was not a good management practice. I advise the corp office to be aware that he is not customer friendly or should he ever stare down or stare through a customer again. If I were a man I would have most likely done something uncalled for. He is no asset to your store nor should he be in charge of unsatisfied customers. He doesn't manage in a way I would have in my business. In fact I still have goose bumps from his encounter. I was given his name to talk to however not a pleasant experience. I will never purchase anything from the store and will let all my friends know about this episode. I doubt you do anything about this as the bottom dollar is usually the driving force behind decisions but at least you are aware of my complaint. Maybe he needs glasses to correct his staring. It is so Unappropriate!!!!
