Unfriendly and slow

I went to the holland Michigan location to buy some protective sleeves for magazines I collected. I went to pay for them and the cashier let this woman who was making a return cut ahead of me. Then took almost forever to do so and needed help as well.

Falsely Accused

I was falsely accused for shoplifting by the rude lady name Dawn, did not get a apology, then she tried to frame me since she realize I had nothing on me by opening up a package of glue and super glue and took one out the package and said I did this. She said she have it on tape. I told her to show me the tape and she refuse. I told her if I am guilty then what do she have to lose, show me the tape. She still refuse, so I wrote the corporate office addressing this serious matter to the CEO. Still waiting to here from the owner of his company. The store is in Round Rock, Texas.

RABBIT FUR

A Hobby Lobby just opened in my area. The store has wonderful things and I was hoping to shop there a lot. Until I saw a bin filled with real rabbit fur from Spain. Can someone explain to me why hundred of animals have to die in order for us to make crafts. I was told that the store is closed on Sunday due to the owners Christian values. Maybe when you in church you can prey for the thousand of animals that are killed in order to supply your stores. I don't understand why you can buy fake fur.

Snobby sales person

I had 6 frames custom made . The person that measured then was wrong on one and she said that I told her not to measure that one. I never heard of blaming the customer for her mess-up. I never heard of a company making a custom frame that they will not measure. They offered to cut my expensive print. Since they mess-up I had to drive back over 120 miles round trip another day. The sales person was very rude and con not do her job. This store is located in Evansville WI.

Mesquite Texas DARLEN HUGHES

The attude if the employees at this store is straight from a time of bigotry and disregard, every time I go to this store I leave offended. I went with paperwork for tax exempt proff on my phone the stir name and number , the lady who issued , the licence the copy of tax exempt letter everything was there and they refused to accept it. I had to end up buy my merchandise and pay taxes because some one wanted to be a hard nose. Never again. And as I see this type attude is common at hobby lobby.

Unprofessional Employees

I am disgusted by the behavior of the employees at the Hobby Lobby in San Antonio,Tx. Fredericksburg Rd. Store. They all particitpate in covering up wrong doings-including the store manager! The real irony is that Hobby Lobby has a Christian philosophy but it sure isn't that way at this store. They are into lying, fabricating, covering up for each other and just plain unprofessional. They might be tight but they're not doing the right thing, much less upholding Christian values.

employee

I would like to commend an employee of the Somerset Hobby Lobby store in Kentucky. Sandra Barnett is very efficient, kind, and knows the business well. She is a great representative of your company. I would love for her to receive an accolade from the top....she is so deserving....great service from a great employee

Will not be shopping with you

I am very disappointed over your ugly stand on keeping women employees from affordable access to birth control. Shame on you. I think you are abusing the leverage you have as an employer. I will not be shopping with you in the future.

laborer

Worked for the store opening in Holyoke, Ma not one single thing they said upon hiring is true. Stil no check after 2-1/2 weeks. Said it was mailed, come and get it it is ready. No, the checks aren't in yet. Yes, they are sitting on the managers desk needing stamps but don't worry honey, you'll get it soon. There are labor laws in MA but not sure these people know them. Awful store to work for....

I was at Hobby lobby in Arizona off of Bell Rd. They were very rude and accused my son of harassing them when he was just looking around waiting on me to get done. They said he was suspicious, why because he is a boy. I will and advice anyone with young boys not to shop there or you will also be accused and harrsed

Obamacare

I appreciate your stand on abortion and stand with you. But why don't you and other companies like you just drop health care altogether for your employees, raise their salary some and let the government wallow in the misery they have created for America.

Esperanza

Shopping at Hobby Lobby is a pleasure. I enjoy the music and the selection of friendly items. The local managers are not always perfect, but neither are you and I. The recent government response to their corporate appeal is irrational and unjust. Under our Constitution, any business owner is to be free to conduct operations according to conscience. If others do not like the way it is done, they are also free, to work or do business elsewhere.

Don't know what to do but hobby lobby in Missouri City store 379. There are some really bad things going on. Everyone is scared to say anything. The store manager threatens employees and yells at them all the time. He talks bad about employees to other employees and tell personal information about employees to everyone. There is always talk about how the managers are involved intimately with employees. Large sums of money seem to keep coming up missing. Something really bad is going on there.

Thank you for the continuous playing of Christian music in your stores. It is a pleasure to shop there, and I do often. I am always pleased with your products and the service I receive. THANK YOU in Texas!

Shame on hl

Hobby Lobby your stand on the Health & Human Services Mandate is shameful. I had no idea you practiced such deplorable business practices until I came here and saw some of the negative stories people had to tell of working conditions and treatment of employees. I am a christian and can honestly say that I am embarrassed that my religion is being associated with the likes of you and dragged through the mud on the national stage. How dare you use the fact that you are supposedly christian as a defense for just plain being a bad employer that cares little if any for your employees, shame on you. I will never spend a penny in your store again and plan to do my best to spread the word about you. Hopefully people will listen and bad employers like you will go out of business as they should.

wooden boxes

Dina Steelman 8 hours ago I like the idea of "Hobby Lobby", but I am not happy with the store in Marion, Indiana at this moment. My business depends on them to have the wood items that I need to do my art on. This holiday season I have been very busy, and they never have the items I need. So I get a rain check, & go to pick these items up on Friday,... not only was i told "Well, they arent put out yet, can you come back... later? ...um No, I can't.... but I was listening to an employee at the end of the wood isle complaining about having too many boxes now while she was throwing them into sorting totes ! The box I was handed, was damaged on the top. ( There is ANOTHER one of my orders that the customer will NOT get the box size that they ordered !) I am not the type of person that likes to make a scene in public, so I just grabbed the only other box on the shelf. Its sad really, because I am in the store every week, and dont believe I should have been treated this way. One would think they would value my business, but obviously not. Im considering going down the street to LOWES and making my own boxes. ~Seriously UnHappy!

poor service/broken arrow store

I went to HL, Broken Arrow store on 101st and Elm on November 28th at 1130 am to make a return. Iwent to the returns desk, where the floor supervisor was standing. She told me the returns counter was closed so could I move over to the second register. I did so. There were three other people in line to CHECK OUT. there was only one other register open and that line had 6 people waiting to check out. The floor supervisor called two other checkers up and they opened 2 other registers. I moved over to the 4th register and was told she could not return my items I would have to take them back to the returns counter. I responded to the clerk " there is no return counter opened. The floor manager, overhearing me came and told me I needed to go the 2nd register as she could return my items. At that point I responded to her rather harshly, as I have waited 15 min to try to return items. You have no return counter open...please open one. she again told me I had to go to the 2nd check out lane, which I did but stated to her this is NOT a return lane. There are now 6 people waiting to CHECK OUT. I waited another 5 minutes and then left the store. I immediately called the manager and told him what I had experienced. His response was "that is how we do it", to which I stated. "I will not shop here again, I will go to Tulsa." I did go to Tulsa and I was in and out within 10 minutes! This store KNOWS HOW TO MANAGE THEIR CHECKOUTS! I have shopped off and on at the Broken Arrow stroe for over 15 years. This is a CHRONIC PROBLEM. But as of today, I will not shop here again!!!

Worst Customer Service Ever!

I agree with Anonymous. The managers are miserable, shrewish, and even called me a liar about my profession! When one employee was doing the proper thing (helping me in an area where there were no sales reps) his manager took him away from a paying customer - me - and in front of everyone spoke to him so disrespectfully that I would never have returned had it been me. She was probably jealous of his rapport with customers and the fact that he would go the extra mile to help customers. He will not last long in an inhumane environment like that. My biggest issue is that I am severely disabled. Therefore, it takes me much longer to shop than most. Three times, after shopping for hours until closing (I am a jewelry designer, home designer and decorator on top of being a counseling psychologist!). Because of my life-threatening ailment, I was at the register close to closing time. All times I offered to come back and pay the next day in order to help them not have to stay late, so they could get home to their families. I lived in the UK for years where the shops close at 6pm so I am an advocate of family time regarding retail hours. This manager and her accomplice would not only not keep my cart of carefully picked items for my own clients until the next day (24 hours hold is the absolute standard retail practice and some places will hold longer if you are ill) but listen to this: She did it once, but said I must return by 5pm, not 24 hours (it was 7:50 and they close at 8). I work until 5, but arrived shortly thereafter and made my $700 purchase. After taking 5 hours to pick my client's items in blinding pain from my illness, she told me she would would not hold them for me, that she had "done that once" ( a $600-700 purchase) and even though I kept my end of the deal she could not help me to give her store a big sale and help me to get her employees home on time, even though I had proved trustworthy a few days before!!! She had done me a FAVOR one time and that was it. This supposedly "Christian" store treats the disabled like dirt, have no empathy or any human lovingkindness, and they lost a customer who would have spent about $1000/month there and had proven it (I think I spent about $2000 over 6 weeks when they opened the new store here). Employees anywhere demonstrate what the upper management's values are. I have an MBA from an Ivy League school and they taught us to look for this top-down management clue with any financial decision: how happy, chatty, fun and kind are the basic employees in a retail chain, doctor's office or restaurant? If they are mopey, stressed out, too busy, pretend not to hear you ask a question, etc., then RUN to the nearest exit. The first rule of retail is that happy people who are having a good experience spend money. Unhappy employees reflect *unhappy employers* (from the CEO to VPs to managers on down) and cause unhappy customers. Either Christians are really unhappy sour people, or this store is an unhappy sour place to work with a high turnover rate. I will leave you to be intelligent enough to check out the competition. As for me, I have decided to return all my goods, report them to the BBB, and talk to any press that will listen. Filming some of their business practices which are not law abiding will be enough to catch the attention of the media and of American shoppers! Thanks for reading :-) and take good care.

God Bless you and thank you for taking a stand on the Health & Human Services Mandate which forces religious organizations and businesses to violate their consciences by providing insurance coverage that they find objectionable. Know that you are in my prayers.

Forced to Go To Michael's

I am a loyal customer of Hobby Lobby Panama City Fl. In the past years I have had many family weddings to prepare for. I really love the bouquet arrangements by Glenda...She has always been very helpful. Recently I have come in to have flower arrangements made and she seems to always be working the cashier check out... Yesterday I came in at 12 and again at 2Pm and both times Glenda was working the cashier's check out...Glenda is the only one I trust to do my arrangements and I can not tell you how disappointed I was that she was not available. I know that managers at Hobby Lobby require their employees work many locations...but Glenda is so talented with her arrangements...It seems that there are other employees who could work the registers... I was forced to go to Michael's to get my arrangements made...Needless to say I was not very happy. Thank you, Nancy E.
